Reality Stars Who Started Out as Video Vixens | BFTV

couldn't quite put a finger on it well it's probably because you've seen them in a hip-hop or r b music video back in a day or in an urban magazine a lot of reality stars were always chasing Fame and looking for any opportunity to be on screen so a lot of them worked as video vixens and models While others use their reality TV exposure to appear in those videos now not all of the girls made a career out of being video Honeys sometimes it just came as a random opportunity that they took like America's Next Top Model contestant Jade Cole and Jay-Z's change clothes music video or Malika and Khadijah hack and Ludacris and Missy Elliott's One Minute Man music video you guys really enjoyed my video vixen Series so I thought I'd do this video to add to it so make sure you guys check those Instagram here are some reality stars who started out as Video Vixens first up on this list we have the ladies of the Bad Girls Club for 17 Seasons the world watched as a group of girls became embroiled in many altercations fights and partake and other low brow Shenanigans while living Under One Roof but some of these self-proclaimed bad girls came from modeling backgrounds before starring on the show like season 5's cat Washington who was one of the original members that season but was removed from the house by production in episode 6 before the show the Philly native post for urban Publications such as King Magazine and XXL she was also featured in fabulous's throw it in a bag music video and Drake's Best I Ever Had video which led to a romantic relationship between her and the rapper Drake what about me I'm I'm the best yes you're the best Drake has even referenced their relationship in lyrics Donovan of season 8 had also graced the pages of King and XXL magazine before joining the show she's from Jamaica but was residing in Miami at the time and took up local modeling gigs around the city including being a background model in t-pains I'm in Love With a Stripper music video and Lil Wayne's John music video featuring Rick Ross and after the show she posed for black men magazine then we saw other contestants who shot to fame from the franchise appearing in music videos after the show Natalie Nunn starred in a video for Wale and J Cole single bad girls along with a few other music videos and lastly we have the most popular members of the show today the Clermont twins who got kicked off the show halfway through filming season 14. they weren't really video girls before the show but they were teenage models and had a small role on Tyler Perry's House of Payne series the model's unique look and style turn them into social media icons and since gaining Fame from the show they've started in numerous music videos from real sisters by Future to Gin and drugs by Wiz Khalifa to good form by Nicki Minaj now moving on to the ladies of Flavor of Love for three seasons dozens of women competed for the attention and affection a Flavor Flav of Public Enemy but the vast majority of contestants were only on the show for exposure a few of them had already established themselves as video vixens and urban models prior to Winning Season one Hoops appeared in Will Smith's party starter music video in 2005. while on a trip to La a friend in the entertainment industry approached her about appearing on a dating reality show which later turned out to be Flavor of Love once Hoops won the show she was Landing so many opportunities like an appearance in the music video for Chunk Up the deuce by Lil Kiki other reality show appearances acting roles and covering magazines like black men Urban Inc and King even Flav admitted that she got so busy to the point where it was so hard to get in contact with her and this kind of led to the end of their relationship Crystal Steverson also known as Sirius joined the show during season one as a model and had been in over a dozen music videos including some cut by trillville 112's you already know d12s you are the one TI's bring them out drive slow by Kanye West featuring Paul Wall Sierra's one two step and ghetto music by Outkast she started out in 2003 and over the years she did commercial modeling Runway modeling and print including spreads in Smooth Magazine and the source in episode 3 she brought her portfolio for flave to look through which led to her elimination early in the season as he felt she was only on the show to further her career after Flavor of Love she appeared in the music video for Party Like a Rock Star by shot boys Shay Bucky Johnson of season two probably had the most successful video fixing career of all of the Flavor of Love girls starting in 2005 and so forth she appeared in videos like them boys by boys in the hood like that by stat quo they know by Shawty Lo Bricks by Gucci Mane Jazzy Faye and CeeLo Green's happy hour and miss new booty by Bubba Sparks to name a few the Atlanta native also graced the pages of magazines like Smooth flavor and King before joining the cast of Love and Hip Hop in 2012 her cast made and close friend Larissa boots Hodge also co-starred with her and Fabulous video for baby don't go and she also graced the pages of many popular men's magazine like King smooth and XXL after her stint on Flavor of Love next up on this list we have the Basketball Wives and I'm only using the term wives because it's in the show's title it's very common for models and Vixens to date professional sports players so some of the names in this category shouldn't come as a surprise to you guys Malaysia Pargo the ex-wife of Gennaro Pargo hopped on board with a show during the first season of the Los Angeles installation of the franchise back in the early 2000s the LA native worked as a video vixen appearing as a principal model in videos like hot and wet by 112 Splash Waterfalls by Ludacris What's Happening by Method Man The Way I Am by Nocturnal featuring Snoop Dogg and most notably Malaysia played the hooker and Kanye West's Jesus Walks music video the thing that I pray is that my Feet Don't Fail Me Now before her stand on the VH1 reality series Draya Michelle gained public attention in 2010 as Chris Brown's first public girlfriend following the incident with Rihanna she started out as a stripper then got into modeling Grace in the pages of men's magazines and appearing in music videos like walking on the moon with the dream and Kanye West when the money goes honey say with fabulous under by Pleasure P Fall In Love by Estelle featuring Nas and right here by Earth the jerk and these last two women of the basketball wise franchise I'm gonna cover are probably the most successful and accomplished video vixens mentioned in this video Brooke Bailey was one of the most popular Urban models and video Honeys throughout the 2000s Brooke covered many magazines like black men King smooth and Low Rider magazine with Ice Cube she also appeared in dozens of videos like Lil Wayne's lollipop Webby and Lil Boosie's independent Akon featuring Snoop Dogg's I wanna love you game and Kanye West wouldn't get far Lil Boosie and webby's wipe me down 50 cents amusement park Swiss beats it's me snitches and many others brookhead also appeared in other reality shows before joining Basketball Wives in 2012. she appeared as a wild and out girl on Nick Cannon's hit MTV show and short circuits before appearing on e-network's reality show candy girls which chronicled the life of urban models Sunday Carter is another long time video vixen who started her career in the late 90s I've already covered Sunday in one of my other video vixen videos but I'll give you guys a quick rundown aside from being an actress Cindy played the leading lady in many music videos like Kanye West Jamie Foxx and Twista's slow jams Bobby Valentino's my angel Jadakiss and Mariah Carey's you make me wanna and Boosie's Wipe Me Down among many others then we have the women of Love and Hip-Hop and none of these names should come as a surprise to you guys first we have Mimi Faust who I wouldn't really consider a video vixen but in 1999 she appeared in the video for Kelly Price's single it's gonna rain and Pharrell's front and music video with Lauren London and Lanisha Cole [Music] Althea heart joined the cast of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta season 3 as Benzino's new girlfriend but 10 years prior she was starring in music videos and modeling for men's magazines and she was also the Covergirl for the 2002 Reggae Gold CD cover and if you're into video vixens you know how big the Reggae Gold album cover was Althea was the third runner up in the Miss New York USA pageant in 1999 and at one point was signed to Foxy Brown's independent label ill Nana records foxy even put Althea on the Cradle to the Grave soundtrack throughout the 2000s she appeared in numerous music videos including Ashanti's foolish G dep and Diddy's let's get it jar rules I cry R Kelly's Fiesta remix Jamie Foxx's unpredictable and Little John's snap your fingers Kimbella Van Der he joined the New York franchise as the on-again off-again girlfriend of juel Santana since 2009. she started modeling and worked as an urban model and Vixen in the early 2000s while working on her Pharmacy degree aside from grace in the pages of many men's magazines Kimbella appeared in the videos for LL Cool J's head sprung Pitbull's hotel room service and Joelle Santana and Chris Brown's back to the crib masika Kalisha is another former Vixen who began modeling in the mid-2000s and appeared in music videos like Nellie's 2005 hit song grills Field Mob and Sierra so what Waka Flocka's no hands and pop bottles by Birdman and Lil Wayne next we have model and actress Carly Red who had a successful career throughout the 90s and early 2000s with dozens of modeling gigs she appeared in music videos like Keith sweats come and get with me Snoop Dogg's please featuring Nate Dogg and exhibit Trina and Tamera's Joanne men of Visions break me off Jay-Z's Girls Girls Girls I Still Love You by Next tanks maybe I deserve and n-o-r-e's nothing Carly even had a small role in the 1997 film baps starring Halle Berry and Natalie dezell and years before Love and Hip Hop she was a part of the VH1 reality show scream Queens last on the list of Love and Hip Hop girls is the beautiful but super obnoxious and problematic Erica Mena who was one of the most successful Vixens of the Golden Era she started doing catalog work at the age of 14 and got approached by an MTV Scout to appear in a Jennifer Lopez look-alike contest for which she won someone from rockefeller's label saw the JLo contest and trapped Erica down to appear in her first video which ended up being Young Guns can't stop won't stop that's when her career as a video honey took off and she starred in many music videos including breathed by fabulous Lean Back by Terror Squad Friday Night by Young Guns yo by Chris Brown candy shop by 50 Cent so paid by Akon and tell me by Bobby Valentino Erica appeared in her last video around the age of 19. and her only being 35 years old now makes me realize that she was underage in a lot of these music videos before joining Love and Hip Hop she appeared on Courtney and Chloe takes Miami as an employee of their Dash Boutique and finally we have the Real Housewives Cynthia Bailey wasn't a video honey but a lot of runway models booked a music video job at some point in their career back in 1994 she appeared in a music video for Heavy D single nothing but love Robin Dixon of Potomac also had a small appearance in Diddy's bad boy for Life video Porsha Williams of Atlanta had a small run as a video girl in the mid-2000s with appearances in videos like some cut by trillville Ludacris's Diamond in the Back and eight ball and mjg's Cadillac pimpin Miss USA Kenya Moore enjoyed the spotlight after winning the pageant in 1993 and began making many television and film appearances throughout the 90s she starred in music videos like Jermaine Dupri and Jay-Z's money ain't a thing Shy's I don't want to be alone NASA's Street Dreams and Tupac's Temptation Claudia Jordan had a similar success story after winning Miss Rhode Island in 1997. she she immediately started acting and starred in many music videos including Charlie Wilson's Charlie last name Wilson Joe's I want to know Ludacris's Splash Waterfalls five steps by Drew Hills D'Angelo's me and those dreaming eyes of mine genuines only when you're lonely three six mafia's Late Night Tip and As Long As You Love Me by Backstreet Boys foreign that's all I have for this video
