Reacting & Judging Wildcards (JP & Cloud)!

hello guys hello guys now guys is a term used to describe everybody in the UK but I'm pretty sure in other countries that suggests males only so for those countries hello to the world of human beings and animals and microorganisms today we're watching wild cards as we have done we will be watching cloud from South Korea and JP from Malaysia very excited to check these two out and this is the penultimate Wild Card Duo format video so the next one is the final one big up to everybody that's watched this in real time the process and big up to everybody that is ahead of in the future for me and you're watching through the playlist or you just click on this video big up to all of you you guys and myself we are gonna go and watch these wild cards I will be reacting just enjoying also giving a couple of Judge opinions observations because after all I do need to rank these so without any more to do or say let's go and watch Cloud first from South Korea this guy has such a captivating style I really really like it like High original style okay so check this out with me let's go I'm really excited to watch this it's been a long time I listened to Cloud let's go all right I'm Cloud this is my wild cardboard granted box battle 2023 world league thank you [Music] wow [Music] oh it's like face and Melody [Music] house music [Music] hold on [Music] what's really hard great intro ops Oh [Music] a pitch out of that [Music] cool little details [Music] you can see how hard it is [Music] [Music] oh foreign [Music] [Music] that base is so subharmonic there's two pictures that are so bright let's go back here [Music] this is amazing [Music] thank you oh my God [Music] I could listen to that so many times and I'm just gonna listen again for a little bit eyes just so nice [Music] beep [Music] look man like there is not many I've watched a lot right now uh like over 20 of these parents or something around there right that might be the first place for the one I just most enjoyed listening to now that's a really good sign isn't it because beat boxes well music the form of music that you listen to and that one is it's different all right I'm gonna say that loud and clear is different because it is not actually the most complex it's not the most flashy mind blow your mind crazy technique bass attack the system mauling attack of sounds right it's so good because it's different you actually you look at this one differently I do anyway when you're judging what you do all right is you place this one and you put it above most because this is a different type of quality this is actually just way more Musical and impressive because you just want to listen it's like putting a baby to sleep like I just want to shut up and listen to it like so yeah just super quality I.E I don't know how to score that one it's gonna be hard because I enjoy house music I enjoy Progressive house like this so he's doing the music style that I enjoy so I I will be aware of that and I won't be biased to it but at the same time you can um you can't be so great uh doing that kind of beatbox and not score really really really high because a lot of there is a lot of parts that are getting a 10 out of 10 if I had to sub-categorize like structure it is a 10. some categories along the musical lines it's a ten can be improved uh yes I guess I mean we could objectively improve the consistency of the clarity of the listen to how boring this sounds what I'm trying to say is some sounds he did eight times and they sounded a bit different of all eight times so here's here's a of a kick drum that sounds extremely similar here's a kick drums that sounds slightly different that's what I'm talking about so I do have to do that boring observation but it's not enough to to go much lower it's a really really good Wild Card big up Cloud all right and next up we have JP from Malaysia this one was uh plastered in a lot of the comments during these previous videos a lot of people are excited to see me check this out so let's go a couple of little stories about JP um I watched him live at Florida beatbox battle and he became uh third place and it was my first time to hear in beatbox live and I was really impressed with his delivery and his actually his stage presence it was really top quality and another thing my first interaction was JP uh we did a lesson session quite a while ago and I was so impressed with what he was showing me it was it was really different actually really really top quality in the clarity and pitching and I always wondered how far he can go with more original compositions Etc well aside from that that's a couple of Stories on JP and now I want to go and check out his Wild Card 2023 most recent form of JP let's check it out yo what up this is JP from Malaysia and this is my solo Wildcat to the gbb 2023 worldly see [Music] like it's so fluid and clean the way he goes from pitched sound to pitched sound alright let's go I also hear on a lot of Reverb for this mix uh which is going to help bring those melodies and the camera audio I think [Music] um foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] I was just about to pause it and say that he has this nasal rattling base uh and I was hoping it would come let's go again and embrace it all right [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] restaurants [Music] oh my God there's so many exciting textures and sounds in this one that one was crazy [Music] so clean with it that is really tricky to do especially right at the end that's how high risk move wow and all this is these click roll techniques oh my God it's so good because he's doing the beat drop from earlier very similar to send in a the attempt is going to be terrible so because it hurts me a lot so he's going from holding that nasal base to bringing the pitch in and out [Music] oh it hurts me so bad I'm gonna give up but that's what he's doing uh just really clean and way better executed [Music] anyway here he's doing that which is amazing delivery incredibly ah the light went out no problem incredible delivery uh really captivating because this base is unique the difference original unique now it might be original to JP he might have been uninfluenced and found this base or he might have been inspired but unique there is not many people using this tool this this amazing quality so he does that with the beat to send the pitch already crazy information and then coming after is that little technique that you place over the top as if it's nothing it's magical oh my God and the pictures are so clean [Music] nice there incredible control over the Polyphonic voice what an amazing Wild Card just an amazing delivery an extremely pleasing amount of variation and original let me tell you this has to be one of the this is the most important factor in this in comp in competing with beatbox because when I have to listen to 100 plus videos the sound kits are so similar from everybody so it has to be original it has to stand out because it captivates and that is what it's about and this one captivates you this one is going to be in I am sure this is in my my list because of the amount of qualities not only that we've got Pitch Precision skills there is tick in so many boxes this is quite a tricky audio to um analyze however because we have I think it's a phone or a camera audio with a mix on top that has a heavy Reverb tables so it's hard to actually imagine how it was compared to how we hear it it makes me feel like I would rather hear the raw form when I have to judge but for the video for the world to enjoy that's a better choice there's something that happens in each era of beatbox is if you can provide a very well executed original or unique uh sound or concept and you pull it off like no other for the first time uh you always have this bonus because you've just created and spawned a possible error and that's what I feel like I'm getting from JP's video so in my opinion I think this one will be in my top ten uh out of all of the 125 I have to watch where would it be I don't know but I am sure that that is going to be really high up there for me the only things information that I'm I'm picking up to critique is uh possibly the arrangement the percussive fills or the space and time Etc um I'd have to spend more time re-watching and explaining why but yeah just something there um one thing I can say is the execution is a 10. like what I talked about earlier with repeating sound twice if you go listen to the spit snares despite how it's been mixed just think just listen to the waveform of the spitzness they are so sampled like they are really the same also one more thing is uh I can't quite figure out if the uh the lyrics The Melody Etc are original ideas which is always a really important thing for me to score with because I I personally I care about that a lot because lyrics Melodies uh composition they're all a part of if it's an original spawned idea or not which is something I believe has to change in in the world of judging uh judging music because it's a music piece you know but you can you can cover oh it's like it's a whole big can of worms everybody um you can cover an artist's song directly especially in beatboxing um solo because if the if the tune is not made from beatboxing then you're offering that tune with a new instrument so it's a whole new thing so it's done completely differently produced or instrument versus beat a vocal is extremely different the only thing you score down on there is how original the information is so I would like to see um I'd like to be offered the opportunity to know from the people competing that they they state if the Melodies and the lyrics Etc if they're all original um I'm going to take a guess and say the lyrics they are pretty straightforward lyrics I wouldn't say heartfelt uh but the delivery and the Beautiful pitching is heartfelt but the uh the lyrics themselves not the same there uh and the melody it's um it's somewhat expectable but at the same time I can't recall ever hearing it so what that equals is a very pleasing Melody I've rambled on on this one a lot but yeah in an overview I thoroughly enjoyed JP's wild card I thoroughly enjoyed clouds this was these two today were crazy this was a very high quality set of wild cards today so big up to those guys I hope you guys enjoyed me watching these giving some opinions on it mad respect to those guys for killing it alright cheers everybody have a good one
