yes here we are day four it's been very eventful some people have really shown people have found it really difficult getting back into competition right up there just not done so well they've been some great [Music] [Music] as for the women's 10 meter well there's gonna be some countries as we all say in the prelims who don't have a great diving pedigree or background so for example give you an example although ukraine do have some very good nail diversity for her to progress [Music] midway through judge six yeah [Music] foreign seven seven times very straightforward [Music] so 36 will be reduced to 18 for the semi-final so there's the dive order here [Music] [Music] today done very well the first few days here they're not making up the numbers a lot of people might have thought that because they get host nation status and they get extra athletes entered especially for the synchro that maybe they were making up the numbers but they've proved here in the individual events in particular they're not doing anything of the kind and making finals as of right preparation especially when you've got a big field not as big as it's going to be for the three meter tomorrow by the way three metre field we're looking at earlier on could be as many as about 56 i think you said 56 56 are listed to uh to dive in the prelims tomorrow so that could be a very long six rounds indeed might be 56 out of 18 so we're going to lose an awful lot of quality athletes from that one this one is 36 into 18 into 12 that's where we're going to go through all the athletes in a bubble in tokyo athletes in one hotel the officials in another goals have been very well adhered to i think people are finding it a bit difficult with the breakfasts as the impression i get is perhaps the delivered breakfast is not always to their taste buds they're adjusting all right anna colin kina will be first up for russia five rounds remember of dives here and her one is a forward three and a half to start and a nice start a little bit of extra splash extra wash from coming keela but that's okay it's uh decent enough for maybe 60s but 50s no for france then we're two and a half let's say there will be quite a range in this first round up as high as 3.2 low as 1.8 so massive range of different dives to see the nature of the diver in with two and a half 2.8 degree of difficulty on this up and down and relatively happy with that i don't think they'll see any fireworks particularly from the dives in the first round and no chinese to remind you so far [Music] for the world italy inward two and a half somersaults 2.8 for their next female superstar or italy i wonder whether you know this could be the one well she over rotated and he knows that she knows that and he's not going to be particularly edifying marks i am afraid 4.5 across the board the most difficult part now is trying to qualify for the top 18. yarmouth king of ireland two irish divers here they'll be going back to back in with two and a half very popular dive in the first round that's nice that's very nice nice solid entry uh joseph's will like that looks very good from platform to pool that's lovely really positive start from tiara 65.80 well that should inspire her teammate he's got a much more difficult dive the back two and a half somersaults and one and a half twists it's quite an opener for tanya watson and nicely done get some decent marks it's not going to be massive but it was uh pretty well executed [Music] and she gets 62.40 although she had a higher difficulty kara was actually higher 65.80 inward two and a half for celine van dune who has her place on the olympic team already nice real good work with the uh the dutch team by edwin who used to be in leeds 54.6 [Music] we see a lot of this young lady involved yesterday on the three involved in the syncro and now i'm back for the 10 meter helia tuxen from norway inward two and a half she is definitely progressing i think that is fair to say a little bit of work to do with it yet they're not quite putting up big numbers but uh a lot of these diverse smaller diving countries are bringing through some talent this lady has been around for a while games champion she's done very well at olympic games especially in the synchro and leather pan or three and a half no missing straight into one of the big dives and it's just a little bit splashy yeah he liked it taking off didn't like it as much when she landed seven then for germany it was very vocal this week we'll give her a good encouragement 2.9 first time we've seen this dive two and a half somersaults like well she has a lot of time for that dive gotta say she wasn't rushed at all she floated in somebody under control 60.90 for elena third place giovanna pedroso oh brazil in with two and a half coming up from her so it's quite so popular dive from singapore would yeah i think italy will do it and so will kwon korea it's in the first 20. very heavy entry not particularly complicated dive either so that's going to be not brilliant marks fifty three point two zero sevens in there they won't count though the six is here and this is what i was talking about milo who we saw earlier in the week obviously doesn't have a big dive for back variety in her locker so this is 1.8 so this is going to be very basic basically the dive she does in synchro so it's not worth a lot of marks it's an up and down with no complications 2.0 in synchro only worth 1.8 individually though that's why she needs to make the rest of her three four and five dives to give her a chance limp of singapore also interesting to observe where the divers place themselves on the platform so i'd like to go right in the middle so let's go right on the edges it's an individual preference that's all right again it's not going to be massive marks because of what happened after she entered the pool but should be mid-range a little bit disparity on the marks but that's already too far away long way out into the pool there's another thing the judges do take note of let's see it doesn't look like he dives under control if you're that far out from the board [Music] next funky little number in terms of the dive back two and a half somersaults one and a half twists pike again most of the divers will do it she's doing it in the first round yes all right it's not brilliant we'll give us some decent marks she might get to the 50s not quite there 49.67 i was mightily impressed with this young lady at the british nationals that's it now 16 months ago january last year she is nervous you should enjoy this experience i hope she will anyway forward three and a half somersaults going for a big dive straight off andrea spend the near serie x or great britain see it's not bad at all it's almost where she wants to be [Applause] she's not competed since plymouth in the back of january 20 that's a good start christina vassen for germany three and a half which don't yet have everybody qualified for the olympics on this event nope this time that entry rather badly not the start that she would have wanted she's already playing quite a bit of catch up that's a low mark five points behind the leader at the moment of 18 remember to start 18 and we'll carry forward 18 to the semifinal next to sarah judo di maria from italy in with two and a half seven swords a lot of divers have this is there a signature dive but that one was illegible [Applause] to start malaysia chong gundes will go for it as well nice solid strong dive just a little bit too strong in terms of the entry from caitlin mackay on the k in the first couple of days with mike yeah big o came from somewhere maybe for the korean team because i think they quite enjoyed that and they've got every reason to because that's one of the better dives you've seen so far we'll add to the mix which will take her into where fourth place early stages is ramirez of venezuela first of the arm stands what happened yesterday in the men's event she goes from the side interesting way to get into the vertical position and uh almost carrying on what happened yesterday in terms of the quality of the armstead they were particularly poor yesterday and that unfortunately is a complete ride over for ramirez gets hers out the way in round one and so too does my empty salam is coming up soon and robin birch will get hers out of the way too in real one here's john malaysia that's a forward three and a half it's kind of a relatively happy but not happy kind of reaction from the coach the marks will be good but they won't be astonishingly good is of mexico expected to be certainly in the mix for the top 12. this one's going to get to the top 18 which is more than capable of doing another one for the forward three and a half talk all about the the mexican men just giving them what to have their piece of the action too that's all right that's all right looking further out from the board than perhaps you should have been but that's not bad as an opening dive it's very good on a 3.0 rate young lady which is very and good showed it there 67.50 puts her in the lead now robin birch second of the british divers she chooses to go with an arm stand as well so more complicated one than the one we saw previously arm stand back double somersault one half twist and she doesn't approach it quite the same way more rudimentary way of doing it from the center of the board 3.2 she gets this right could put her right up there with uh the gundam again that's all right that is good yeah very good actually and she is right up there with the levers she's kind of uh breaking the spell breaking the hoodoo of the arm stands very poor last couple of days but that's much better right arm stand follows arms down my abdomen and this one is nowhere near as complex or as complicated so what are we done though i'm staying back double somersaults with half a twist remember she got trying to hold that position a while to show she's under control that's fine she is and the entry is not bad he likes it makes you quite like it the marks will be very reasonable six point fives right across the board two point six one not quite on the rocket france here we're two and a half with pike 25 36 this is a bit too strong just too forceful as far as that is concerned it's going to be penalized bring it down to the five and a halfs and one six my yasuda of japan just uh running through in her mind and physically she's gonna do on this forward three and a half which is quite well for a couple of the we've divers seven now in the sixties good day's leads rolling birch second and canada king third place good start for the irish diver not bad at all not bad at all from yasuda saying the uh japanese some people might have thought just here to make up the numbers and give them some free spots for events they have been working very hard last four years for five years now to make sure they are competitive at the olympics and they are doing just that 60 score or yasuda top eight emma mccloud oh puerto rico the person that we see on both boards less common these days those who do three and ten that was our inward two and a half which landed a bit of a heat sixes [Music] she's going arms down we're going down again in terms of tariffs this one's down at 2.4 how does she prepare very carefully very carefully for a double somersault yeah never that convinced when she started to go vertical that was going to be anything other than a massively splashy one that's what it turned out to be [Music] that's what uh suits you best and that's what suits her best right well they come in pairs to the tuxens both on the three meter board and the 10 meter board different adjustments of course when we go seven meters up you see how they look in the raptor parish because i think that's when we'll really see the fruition of their labors in with two and a half for antsy make sure she got that first dive right 75 right i'd say sevens is okay not quite sixty before we conclude the first round that's nice that's the best we've seen so far being with two and a half that's really nice there you go just underlying what i'm saying about the japanese not here to make up the numbers they are very proactive same guy not as good though direct comparison see between first and second dive there the big difference is nina that's very nice wow terrific entry that is the best we've seen of any dive this morning wonderful stuff from timothy 3 8 72 70 in the prelims like that a lot she's had a couple of disappointments last few days definitely at the moment on her game for this one nicoletta angelica scarlett of romania seems to have a lot of time it doesn't rust [Music] garcia of cuba and we're two and a half for her last of them in this round left the board all right entry actually [Music] ingrid oliveira from brazil we're going to change the dives up a little bit now and back two and a half somersaults one and a half twists brazil got obviously host nation status 2016 that's why they have divers in there they don't have one in this yet a long way out that second line it's all right [Music] point fives and six last of our divers level 36 is monsterat gutierrez and like we started so we finish with a four three and a half so another one waited maybe a little bit too long did not provide her with the response or the results she wanted fives so we won't see the leaderboard after first round to tell you that timothy nina two irish in the top seven one in eight martin 58.5 13th place after the first round it's a inward three and a half three point two big tariffs and she's short [Music] just going through the bases on the forward two and a half seven assaults one twist waiting for the referee's whistle which you can actually execute the dive which he now has taken is so important [Music] italy just do her three and a half in round two general has not been a good week for the italians not really as much to write home about and that sadly is going to be a mark that's not going to help you know is progression now kiara mcking good start for both the irish divers and kiara has her arm stand in round two fifth place 65. very often divers will put a towel up there just to help their grip oh dear minus two so he should lose two marks on that so i can pose himself of the legs what's amazing armstands don't have more worries a lot of people don't like these i don't really like watching them sometimes i'll make sure she goes this time while she loses a dive when she's not in contention ragged savvy takes all over the place entry very ragged it's going to be low marks and she's got two off anyway i'm afraid these are going to be very very difficult marks to look at here so her program is full of really big tariffs in with three and a half so assaults tuck three point what a two just a little bit too much gas agonizing that's just a good start as well fours two and a half somersaults pike i was strapping already on his arms float hello one to actually make it through to a semi-final maybe both that's not bad that's very nice actually a really good dive i think uh this working progress is starting to reach a little bit of fruition three six point fives no panzer and of malaysia very experienced back two and a half somersaults pike a moment 16th she is much better than 16th yeah that's it that's what she's capable of he knows that she knows that she has done it for a decade 69.60 is for germany i was contemplating the next five and four with three and a half somersaults it's all right it's okay it's not fantastic we admit that some of the belly dives come later in the competition but we've got to get there first from the prelims to the semi-final giant giovanna are brazil back two and a half somersaults one and a half twists the bigger tariff dives we'll see we'll get [Music] of ukraine i mentioned her first dive 1.8 second dive 1.9 reverse dive is going to be what you see in the synchro [Music] from she's very tightly punched after round one so that's not indicating necessarily where she might end up this dive might give us more of an idea of four or three and a half and that is very good indeed well 26 no longer she'll be uh jumping up the standings with that that was very impressive seven point five sevens and eight in there which won't count but 66. something issues right up there maria betancourt or venezuela no as she was trying to come out of that dive things didn't quite fall into place she came out at the wrong time which would explain the entry but didn't quite get right two thirds of the way down adrian vieta of puerto rico it is hand stand or as we call it arm stand time back double somersaults twist where are those legs going well she's not under control that that's that's going to be very low mark she was never under control with those legs they were almost working like a latsu for a moment this is the problem with the attend meetup with the divers they have to put an arm stand in there and many of them are not really capable of doing it nice solid opening 63 capable of uh doing some quite special things there's andrea spencer at siri x witnessed it firsthand inward three and a half somersaults 3.2 chance to maybe get into the top five with this i think so i think so a bit splashing as you might have liked but it'll be okay marks for that 65.6 they're all sevens [Applause] [Music] [Applause] christina vassen for germany four or three and a half so germany is a major nation that don't yet have a qualified diver for this event well i like that all the way down she was in total control of that from leaving the platform to entering the water i really like that it looked good aesthetically in the air [Music] yes sir three and a half attack i love the entry well he's shaking his head i thought the entry was fine better the judges are with the coach on this one caleb uh kenny mckay is going to do a dive that not that many others are going to do it the gundams again just gonna do it but um the back three and a half is not in a lot of divers repertoire that extra point one will make a difference in the score if she gets it right and she has nearly done it perfectly yeah the reason that you saw the knees buckle on the coach is that he thought that was gonna be perfect i thought it was gonna be perfect and it was just slightly off those dives are really annoying because you anticipate it being brilliant just a little bit away from what you expect there's quant of career back two and a half somersaults pike eighth after the first round so good start and another very nearly a lot of those kind of dives this morning but i think it's going to be better than it actually is when they complete it [Applause] now lisa ramirez is 36th and bottom at the moment to change that situation looking for a good forward two and a half somersaults with one twist from her and that is not going to help massively 39.15 mainly all 4.5 back two and a half somersaults with bike gee really didn't blow into that she really did and that looked very very good and the marks are very very good too to accompany that so many nines at all so far that might be the first ones actually and that takes her into top spot amazon's room one and three right now now goodness okay for the big build up in round one she was second after the first round like the way she operates she's got something about a bit of star quality back three and a half somersaults so she's going to go for the big dive this is not the repertoire of the majority of divers about a handful are going to do this from her point of view it just did not quite work out well it is the old risk and reward we talk about so often the higher tariff dives and pull them off then they are really aggressive and get remarks to accompany them but not quite robin birch the first two and a half somersaults for the other britain at the moment andreas spencerlina siriex is in second place if you'd like to join her [Music] oh but this is tucker not pike it's only worth 2.7 [Music] please be well executed [Music] same dive sixpence again in case you're fairly new to this like dives are more complicated and have a higher tariff so tuck generally are 0.3 below hike dive so her top drive 2.7 on the forward three and a half that's nice that is very nice you should enjoy that the judges will enjoy it too they do just a lower tariff she doesn't get into the 60s but that will help her greatly it takes her into 11th place still quite a few comes to another 11 divers including our leader junior timothy nina now arm stands yesterday well i'm not quite sure what those legs are doing off the board there but i'm sure the judges will spot that [Music] 5280 for yeshua who's with mccloud for puerto rico for three and a half or ever 25th after round one that's all right that's okay [Music] splash on entry just one off the bottom from the first round here's her inward two and a half entry really destroyed the rest of that dive it's on the way down it was all looking quite positive and then qualification for the semi-finals she's 12th of the most early stages i know it's only first round but maybe she could be the norwegian to progress back two and a half somersaults plenty of dives here both three meter and the synchro so perhaps this is uh getting in tune for the last 18. it's all right it's worthy of a clap from the coach and we'll probably keep her in the mix why would she use top 10. not drop outside the top 18 at least for japan nice opening dive four three and a half back to the pike version of it from her and she is going to go i reckon into the lead or very close to it with x top three at the moment and uh in fourth place joe will be of korea here's our leader who had an exceptional first round dive hasn't all been going playing sailing wise for timothy nina in tokyo but that was really far away her best dive in round one so let's see what mooches in on the arms down arm stand back double somersault one and a half twists can she hold on to that lead i think she won't second place very tight curve do it in the mic position or it's the 3.0 version so nearly very very good i'd say good i'm not quite in the sevens 5.5 top two marks bottom two marks are discarded middle three are then multiplied by the degree of difficulty that's why i give it to you just you can indicate it for example lindsey garcia 2.7 on this is her arm stand it was just about under control i think it might just question them i think yeah probably just about under control and hold it for a little bit long enough to get some okay marks too much ago ingrid oliveira armstrong back double somersault with one and a half twists preparation for it almost like a gymnast now she feels most comfortable getting into position that's very awkward doing that oh the hands kind of slipped as she was going into the preparation there he held him quite well because i'm sure her hand slipped a little bit she was taking off [Applause] should get to mexican through to the semis later today reverse two and a half attack 2.8 on the degree of difficulty whoa yeah i had a lot of time on that a lot of time and that will be better than average four gutierrez we'll take her into the top ten and that's the standings after round two malaysian top five for you now x's in there there's top 16 or would be going through if this was the conclusion of the event next two joe and just below [Music] a lot and she's 33 well she's capable of climbing up that ladder it's a big ladder though with three rounds to go as we change the officials it's lindsey frazier getting herself into position there another three great britain to review some of the early action and the third round of guys now can i keep it from russia here's her home stand some different versions making sure she gets the right purchase on those hands make sure they grip say i haven't seen any of the divership put a towel down or shammy or anything just to help the purchase but the surface is okay in that respect comes down back three somersaults she went in a slightly skew angle i'm just going to knock those marks down [Music] vertical should be looking at sevens oh france third after round two next in line for her is reverse two and a half somersaults tuck just a bit too much on the wick for that one 29.40 it's not gonna help her cause did you know for italy 30th place italians is finally this week quite tough they've not had a lot of preparation like many other countries but seems to affected them quite badly reversed two and a half somersaults with tuck that's not bad and it does prompt some applause from the italian coaching staff so not bad it's not going to be sevens 6.5 and sixes i think yeah [Music] such a good start and then round two did not go the way she planned so being top five she's gone down to 31 the reparation starts now on a reverse two and a half somersaults tuck better that's round one all over again fantastic recovery from kiara very good yeah for that bad second round dive behind her and that's nice so she'll be working her way up the standings very very quickly four three and a half somersaults for irish teammate tanya watson and that's very nice too back-to-back just like they did in round one [Music] spur each other on great first round dives and both had great third round dives as well tanya for the time being takes over at the top now so i was talking about with the towel or something to purchase on and that's exactly what celine van doon's doing here just something to make sure your hands don't slip off the surface arm stand back double some assault one and a half twists just gives you a bit more purchase let's wait for the next diamond to throw it down to her and that's pretty good pretty good six point fives hello 25th and this is better back two and a half somersaults pike for hair she slipped she slipped as she went into that feet lost a little bit of grip i think absolutely she didn't take off properly there affect the dive absolutely she slipped as she was going through that now pandora for malaysia the team malaysian's going very well at the moment oh no tell me fabric to help from this one and i've done this so many times though she may have done but i'm standing still a tricky thing to maneuver and that will knock her down the stand as i'm afraid she's not going up in the top five anymore [Applause] for germany got two more arm stands back to back [Applause] for that one job accomplished great marks but not a disaster by any means now giovanni keep doing that dude arms down back double somersault one and a half twists for the brazilian i might describe it yesterday somebody looking for a contact lens i think you know what i'm talking about she gets ourselves a vertical position okay it's okay little round of applause of ukraine now as i mentioned the first two dives are 1.8 1.9 and then round three come the uh bigger tariff dice four three and a half hike well she is more than capable of doing very very expertly indeed yeah good night of approval from the coach there so this is where she has to start bringing herself up the standings because the first two dives have such low tariffs can't be in contention with the others but then when she gets into the bigger ones and she could make her move and she has made quite a big move there with that time back two and a half for lim of singapore who's also had a good start she's in the top 10. oh loads of time all the time in the world on that very very nice aesthetically again that guy when it was done like that can look very very impressive that's a nice return takes her into the lead at the moment with a back two and a half somersaults yeah we're gonna see this a lot a lot of divers doing this in round three aesthetically it's one of the nicer dives in the program came out at the wrong time can't bring those legs round that is the very essence and important nature of this dive that you have to come out at the right time because there's no way you can save it ac vietnam or puerto rico see how important this dive is to all the dives we're going through the little rehearsal for the forward three and a half look at that run up right take it is absolutely essential too far back it doesn't happen if you're too far forward could be calamitous not for sure [Music] thirdly be serious first major competition of this magnitude i hope the first two and a half is tuck nature fourth at the moment 62 will take it into the lead i think that will be there or there abouts or a little bit i don't know i'd like to see her in the upper 50s towards 60 but because of that splash after the entry perhaps not no 54.6 she does take the lead [Applause] christina of germany back two and a half needed that to bring her into the top 22nd in the previous round that will give her a march up the standings probably into the top 18 maybe 15. nice mark 72.5 there's a couple of eight point fives in there sarah jordan maria from italy that dive again take a long time over it and again i think way too much time too much going through your head when you're thinking about all the permutations and possibilities qualified two of their knives including herself for the olympics so she's back in just under three months time whatever happens here number three and a half life until that splash appeared like it very much all entry and then telltale sign of the water erupting but still not bad 7.2 is fine career as well as dives we have to be a bit careful about having too much time i guess loading in that dive allows you to do can you slowly let's time your entry lee set ramirez for venezuela two and a half [Music] things of the essence on this one we've seen so often it's not going to help massively her cause to get into the top eighteen didn't have a great third round she wants to stay up there with the front runners this needs to be quite good it is a little bit heavy on entry not a splashless one not a ripped one so that's going to knock it down from what would have been seven and a half's potentially two eight yeah just slight over rotation on entry two all right come on gabriella expecting big things here second one was not what she wanted she stood in the top 18 so transferred to a tone for a four-ish second round dive in with three and a half somersaults good days of mexico well that's one of those occasions where i have to read my words not the first time that long long long pause actually was beneficial for [Music] that's robin gabriella i think it is that's robin birch so i don't think we're going to see robert again in the competition that we can pretty much guarantee we will very sad that this alarm of egypt reversed two and a half somersaults that's very nice a little bit of extra splash after entry but not a lot i thought that looks aesthetically very nice from the egyptian and she'll get 56 on that and he's kalanji from france just on the cusp of that top 18. again it's very easy to just come out too early or slightly too late or slightly at an angle i find that you're gonna go in at 45 degrees 13th place for the japanese at the moment prior to this round anyway yep very nearly very yes he likes it very nearly excellent it's calling on the very and good those marks will indicate that that is the case emma mccloud of puerto rico back two and a half seven sorts mike projector up from 27. that's all right it's all right it's again not spot on but bring a bit ambitious talking about 60s and [Music] more inexperienced divers and kind of go through the card and see what works for them this is 2.6 in terms of difficult difficulty of dive back two and a half sub assaults half a twist it was bottom she won't be after that she'll move the place so roman birch having pulled out she will officially finish bottom anyway now because she can't complete the competition and tucson 14th place she's holding in there very nicely indeed zan and we will be mighty proud that they found some great diving talent for the future reverse two and a half source top much tighter much harder to hold on to that top 18 come but play in a big way today that's not bad at all consistent today is ann might be in that shake-up from the top 18. she's holding her own very nicely back two and a half somersaults like came out a little bit out of time just a little bit now look at that on the way down there see it's milliseconds between getting absolutely spot-on going vertically and going in at that kind of rakish angle joe this one well there might be a few rescuer but that's not going to get big marks at all quite a lot of uh shrieking but it's not going to encourage the judges to give higher marks because they're going to give it what it's worth and it's worth just that russia our first round leader second after two and as i mentioned it's a dive that not many are doing because it's a very high tariff and obviously because of that rather complex back three and a half somersaults she nails it she goes back into the lead and she will because the tariff i think yeah absolutely definitely it's not at all bad and it's more complex than the others so that will help her into the lead again she was in the first round so she finds herself in round three angelica of romania she is currently occupying the last qualification place in 18 high tariffs was as high as she goes 3.2 back two and a half somersaults one and a half twists nearly nearly nearly nearly nearly so good that really doesn't quite cut it with the judges don't give nearly marks they gave and give what they see [Music] five and five maybe ready to overtake her from 18th place to 19th place is ellis lee garcia [Applause] so and she was a little bit like all landing in a heap though she got dived down pretty well till the entry and then the entry just looked a little bit uncoordinated just be enough to take her into the top 18 is it yeah it is oliveira of brazil two to come in round three sixth place those who unleash the forward three and a half it'll be okay marks wise not stupendous but okay it's uh 60 exactly shape up quite nicely for the last two rounds now beauty aries with her big two and a half assault one and a half twist back dive top ten at the moment doing the better of the two mexicans 63 to go above gutierrez sorry above uh hmm bit heavy bit heavy on the entry but it's mid-range marks coming 2.5 for monterret on that one is complete [Music] which is pedroso teddy watson's just outside the top 18 by three points back three and a half it's that big dive it's a big tariff dive and if it comes off it brings you great reward if it doesn't quite come off that's what you get not too many are doing it that's why it's 3.3 when it comes off can really project you up the standings now margie france they're back two and a half i'm not likely to return later i don't think because she's 31st that dive is proving to be problematic today isn't it say aesthetically it's such a lovely dive when it comes off but there is the other side of it that you land on your back you saw what happened for our robin birch earlier on play no further part in this competition with janelli back two and a half no problems there no problems of viginelli at all very nice very nice it's interesting how the two irish divers have almost mirrored each other in terms of their dive they've done well they're both done well they've done badly they're both done badly so we wish chiara well on this back two and a half sub assaults pike 24th they are 19 from 24 for two irish divers at the moment that's okay not quite as good as he would wish not quite as good as she would wish it was not totally bad you're almost in there 19th place reverse two and a half somersaults 2.8 degree of difficulty so she can't make big strides with this but if it's a solid dive she'll get herself maybe up a place or two that's good that's good they're not overly enthusiastic because they're not gonna be huge marks but they'll be okay marks seven and six point five not to be sniffed at 56. those who one of the 12 who achieved qualification through the world championship four three and a half i've been working quite hard on this i believe that's a great effect bit short [Applause] [Music] well his sister at the moment is doing particularly well she has an arm stand to come i was just about to utter the words very composed as she left the board and had to slightly rewrite that script i'm afraid because the entry was awful antelope for malaysia last dive took her out of the top 10 and 12th place and i've said several times she's better than that but you still want to perform you don't get marks on reputation generally in with three and a half somersaults three point two is just to go back in the saddle again and it does yeah well we can't see the smile on the face because of the mask but that will get a right back in the saddle and in charge of the horse nice step there's a nine in there it doesn't she goes from this low ranking dive to 3.0 and now 3.2 that's a bit too strong and a little bit out of a comfort zone today here comes about her business very very efficiently today seventh place reverse two and a half again make sure you clear the tower i know he's come particularly close today which is good news long way out with a nice glide in and she is having a very consistent run here moment uh first taste of big international action at this level juniors but in terms of senior competition this is a massive step up arm stand back double somersault one and a half twists 70 or so to everybody else does this i'm sure they don't reverse three and a half somersaults low marks but she's got 20 in the bank already so while she will start dropping down the standings she may just have enough already in her account we'll see 211 13th place it's all right she picks up top five for the time being is that ramirez i'm afraid from where she is she's not going to be progressing 33rd is it three and a half cell swords it's 3.2 so a very big tariff dive here for ramirez and she's way short okay reverse two and a half now she's second and those just have a very good dive so it's taking her into first we could see the malaysians one and two after this and so we shall that's good enough for her over to overtake her teammate that's an exceptional dive from chiong very very nice look at that there's nothing wrong with that like and see if up a little bit of splash afterwards look at those marks nines across the board which takes a way ahead of pretty much everybody apart from the teammate it's the gundes armstead she's back in the top 10 as i thought she would be she's having a little falter in round two but she's back in contention again always mightily impressed with what gundes does i was counting up the arm stands that worked and didn't over the last couple of days i think i would have almost a 80 20 ratio once it didn't let's see where she can back the trend i'm stand back three somersaults tuck hmm go gabriella it's almost very good i'd say boarding on the very good sort of nine just now we've seen nines but eights would be good mates are exactly what she nicely performed she was 26 she will make up some ground with that 64 marks yeah i think she's gonna maybe you may be getting something my yasuda for japan just in that slightly dodgy area 15 for the moment she is she don't want to get any lower down than that starts getting a little bit tricky reverse two and a half gonna clear that 10 meter board on the reverse and you should never really set on that dive why she's got 40.60 going to think about on the reverse time first thing got to do is be safe and then think about the consequences and the implications of the dive a few too many things going through our minds on that one emma mccloud the first two and a half yeah clutches and bunches don't make these dive sometimes see what she was trying to do but she didn't quite pull it off [Music] there's a better borrower for kazakhstan this is a big dive for her big in terms of making the semis because i don't think she's going to do that so marks will speak for themselves on this one 31.50 for borovar [Music] now here's a story developing and tucson oh she's just creeping down towards 18 she's 16 at the moment she was 14 so this has to be good it's not particularly high tariff dive so her to retain her interest in making the semi-final she can this has got to be pretty much on spec it's the tuck version of the forward three and a half so not worth 3.0 but worth 2.7 yes yes yes yes nice stuff and tucson well judges haven't been as enthusiastic as i am there are a couple of sixes in there but they won't count i think she could have got a bit more fourth place for the japanese is her reverse two and a half pretty safest houses i think for the semi especially after that wow what entry that is what an entry from arai that's the old uh symbol full of barely any splash there barely any that deserves huge marks and she's going to get some very very good ones she shows me a 10 meter ball to come in kind of used to the chinese doing that but that was a very good example of how you can just rip an entry through the water barely any splash comes up nacho of korea that's a complete reverse of what we just saw no water no splash and then a massive amount of it [Music] everything going pretty well from her point of view first round leader second round second third round leader now fourth round what she needs to do to keep her in there she needs yeah 60 will keep her at the top she had a little bit of a margin over the rest 60 should be the least she's looking for on this 70 75 to be honest and that's not quite as well executed as you would have liked so it's not going to be big marks in fact it does mean that she doesn't retain the lead [Music] i wish the entry looked on the replay like it was pretty vertical but something happened with those legs to produce [Music] so she's into second gunday's now up to third really working her way through and took tucson's still on the top 16. pandelina syriacs seven here comes muscalo of romania the form water dive on this dive garcia just crept into the top 18 by virtue of her third round dive now this is huge again so not many are doing it and not many are but she is the back three and a half and she nearly pulls that off she nearly pulls that around not far off but it's far enough off she's not going to get big marks oh come on judges that's me ingrid oliveira sick place once two divers are inside the top eight tony watson is inside the top 12 so she'll be inside qualification by quite a way well there is inward three and a half that's very nice very nice indeed ingrid brazilians like it and all the supporting casts like it as well really good stuff lovely lovely big marks attached to that 75.2 and suddenly she is projected up into the top five to stay there for this round at least montserrat gutierrez of mexico both the mexicans could be inside the top 10 after this in with three and a half somersaults 3.2 degree of difficulty last dive of round four a little bit heavier than she would like on the entry didn't quite spot it correctly marks aren't going to be that impressive on this but it would be enough to keep her inside the top 10. please retake your seats thank you here we go with the standings after four rounds those eight should be okay [Music] sixteen two mexican dimensional time top ten two germans inside the top sixteen and tucson's still in there killing mckay okay is uh 17th quite comfortable right my yasuda has got the last place for qualification at the stage hello thompson's not going to be joining my sister and robin birch sadly in case you have officially made it through to that semi-final tanya watson going very well in 14th and she's got about five points six points maybe to play with here's konyakina 16th and that should be enough she should be okay now the russians can think about watching her in the semi-finals i don't see her being overtaken after that 65-278 is the marker laid down 278 will be good enough for kanye and kina to go through now g oh france not one of those in contention to progress she leaves her arm stand till the last round i think she's the only person who does no mutieros does right at the end two arm stands in round five it's okay it's not disaster it's not brilliant it's much reflective for italy where is she 23rd so how far behind 18 fishy it's 13. but take a bit of making up that that will help a little she's not gonna make up 11 points with those marks 56 is not going to be enough to get her into the semis i don't think at this stage she's seventh now with lots to come here kira mcking herself a chance heavy entry and probably fives on that fives is what it is five point fives but they won't count fives do now tanya how good would it be for her to make the semi-final very very good for irish diving 2.9 back two and a half somersaults i think we'll know pretty soon after this whether she's in contention she's rushing this off no she isn't that's lovely yes tanya back you will come i believe for the semi-final i don't see there's any way not going to be knocked off that perch it's not confirmed it won't be confirmed for quite a while yet impressed by that watson point of going to happen yeah see you in semis first pass 300. no doubt about that so experience the uh i think we're doing some funky things not quite what she would have wanted maybe but the dive executed particularly well 67 and a half two confirmed qualifiers already anderle pang and celine banjo and avassin can add her name to that list with her back two and a half somersaults one half twist 3.2 degree difficulty she'll be back she'll return for the last 18. it's flashy and not yet officially confirmed at 292 computer says no not just yet she's got to find a few points here about 10 to 11 i reckon to give ourselves a chance pedroso with a forward three and a half oh she's got a chance he reckons she could be in now what's she gonna get mark's wise that's the question really liked it but i don't think the judges like it quite as much as he does and i don't think 256 is gonna talk about the others on 2727 256 is not going to be there surely well because her first two rounds i don't think she ever really gives herself a chance of making it through because she's got a high tower of dives later on she's got a place a massive amount of catch up back two and a half somersaults one and a half twists for the ukraine diver and rounds three four and five particularly three and five have been very good but it's just too much with those low tariff dives in round one and two for her to be properly competitive she can do this big dive very well she needs to up the ante on the first two rounds oh she's nowhere yeah 17 at the moment but 17 is not where she's gonna finish so keep an eye on tammy watts at the moment she's fifth lim of singapore seventh at the moment should again be able to add her name to those who qualifies at the moment just two of them officially that's not going to be confirmed either or no well what she does by virtue of that dive is confirmed elena vasim is through her she's gone to 289 yeah 289 not qualification yet either so for qualification from maria bettencourt however back two and a half somersaults we'll have just a lot of divers doing this but i'd say the majority of divers in round five that's all right no return doesn't have the opportunity to progress but uh what she would like is her memory of a tokyo visit to be good from the last dive reverse two and a half somersaults that's not at all bad we'll be pretty happy with that and so should she be now andrea to finish allowed to progress now because uh rolling birch had to pull up the competition early after that dive went flying the wrong for great britain eighth place just to just cement her place in the semi-final back two and a half somersaults with one and a half twists yeah she's fine she's fine that's qualification for andrea and the q comes alongside her name canadian well she was uh just flirting with danger but no longer that is absolutely on the button for kelly mckay very nice and she is qualified christina vassen is qualified on 285 that's not tammy watson down tonight i'm sure don't do maria until 10th now on our career 11th she might also start to move others down with that which is rather a lot of good dives coming out in round five and one has been pretty consistent all the way through to be honest and that will give us 60.90 and also acquire a cube beside her name which means that she is the semi-final ramirez however cannot enough marks available to her on this forward three and a half she's racing she really did attack that dive didn't she she was running for a bus i knew what she was doing because she got it please be well converted at that pace so good has she been today back two and a half somersaults one after so expecting to go near 350 and 300 after this looking very strong you know she's looking like the favorite to win this she really is looking incredibly good very nice looks even better in slow motion i said nearer 350 than 300 tonight what she got 345 very good score who is tip to potentially overtake the malaysians later but not right now back two and a half seven assaults one and a half twists pike finish things off and go past 300 herself yes she can yes she can one the low-far dive all the others have been pretty solid from gabriella agundez and she will race past and 300. will claim one of those qualifications basically which them now are 10 assigned 325. that's good and she's uh 25. and just about half a mark or so above andella abdul salam look for one like she might get top 18 won't be able to do that it's not a now finish on the forward two and a half cell assaults one twist [Music] work in progress and she certainly is [Music] there are eight places that are not yet secured [Music] right now of course so she'll be going above that and he's watching back in ireland and which i know there are quite a few we'll be uh wondering about tanya so i'll keep you up to date as we go along kalonji 20th could maybe let's see not gonna happen quite for her today that's not good enough to push for a top 18 place [Music] 270s and that won't be good enough to get there 260.60 now yeah should guarantee her progression 275 so she needs to get in the 60s on this 3.2 dive points are available from the tariff back two and a half somersaults again with one half twist you know this well by now she's in trouble she's in trouble i don't think there's qualifications coming her way yeah the marks aren't gonna be anywhere near good enough to get her into the top 18 i'm afraid that's one japanese is not going to be returning 239 away from qualification tanya watson has qualified i can tell you that now it's just come up on my screen that she cannot be overtaken in top 18 terms so tanya watson will make the semi-final kanyakina has that's quite an achievement for tony watson isn't it [Music] [Music] um so i'm not quite sure what she was doing there that's like a bizarre i'm thinking the dive i've just read out is not the dive that she's just done so she gets zero for that well she wants bottom anyway so it doesn't make much difference but now and tuck said i think this will be quite a story if she could get into the semi-final i reckon she needs 59 58 59 on this dive back two and a half somersaults one after us again 3.2 degree of difficulty upper 50s and i think she progresses yes and tucson is a little bit short it's a little bit short it's not going to be high 50s at least four who are well above her so i'm afraid it's not going to be a great story for norway that we thought it might be all right for japan that dive that's okay that's secured her position one japanese out one japanese in all right we'll have done sufficiently well with that together past 300 and add you to her name 68.80 not going to be her day either take a break from the same dive forward two and a half one twist this time [Music] is up next or she just needs six she pretty much fall off the board here and get qualification but i'm not suggesting she does that and i said not her best dive it's a good enough dive to give her the mark she needs to go through 300 well beyond 300 and uh she's coming back into some form now next we're a little bit uh all over the place on the way down but will not be involved garcia is probably not going to be involved kalonji might just get the last spot at this stage floating in on the reverse dive nicely done [Music] aren't you 16 15 and now qualified um no too much flash i was about to say i'm just in mid-sentence thinking that she could get in there but that's way too splashy ingrid oliveira dive though she's done enough already on two five six that she only needs four points and even on a 1.9 that is very easy maybe she's got such a low tariff dive at the end though ingrid oliveira with her reverse dive but much you can do wrong with this still be good enough to qualify her in 13th place at the moment what changed but ann tucson she's not going to make it because uh gutierrez at ninth in the last round gutierrez needs [Music] it's the arm stand so a little bit of jeopardy potentially i'm amazed she leaves it to the end in terms of game strategy would not be mine leaving the arm stand to the very very end but that's what she's done until she doesn't need much so i'm not a great pressure on that do the mexicans look like they're gonna go soaring through it's okay it wasn't very steady at the top but i think though the marks won't be brilliant it will be enough for gutierrez and two mexicans will progress that means that will be 19. ah what shane i'm so hopeful making that through and she'll be delighted gutierrez that she is through norwegians were thinking he might just have broken little ceiling here to make so many files but it's not gonna happen so let's have a look and see who has [Music] confirmations the results are on the scoreboard [Music] tanya watson what a great achievement that is for irish diving in 16th place and kalonji takes the last one away by just three or so points over ann tucson in 19th it has been so nice in the norwegians have that breakthrough but what happened today the italians still having all kinds of problems getting their divers into the advanced stages of competitions to work through to the end and uh in case you didn't see it earlier on robin birch with an injury on that back dive in round two so she played no further okay we're done on this one we have quite a big gap now before we are back with you again we'll be returning for the women's three meter springboard at four o'clock local that's about uh three and a half hours from now roughly
