Rating Comfort Foods: Babka with @albert_cancook

I am rating Comfort dishes around the world and today I'm visiting the amazing Albert can cook because he said this dish from Belarus is gonna be a 10 out of 10. it's called the babka papka is remarkably simple to bring together other than the excruciating task of finally grating these freaking potatoes but once that is done we gotta treat these potatoes like a batter so to bind it all together and to bring in some flavor Albert uses some pork belly cooking it on very low heat until all the fat is wonderfully rendered out we also gotta chop up a cartoonishly large American onion and saute that in the rendered pork fat and all of these things along with an egg some flour some salt and pepper go into this potato mixture that maybe doesn't look too flashy now but after topping it with some grated butter and baking it until golden brown and bubbly I couldn't wait for that first bite to be honest this dish screams Comfort warmth in Eastern Europe Albert this is a 8.6 out of 10.
