if there's one thing that we can all agree on when it comes to Assassin's Creed is that the cinematic trailers that Ubisoft produces are a complete work of art there is pretty much not a single bad cinematic trailer that's why I just got the idea why not just ranked them but before I get into it I have to say that there may be more than one cinematic trailer for A Certain game but the ones I talk about in this video are the ones that are the most memorable for me and also the most viewed so yeah without further Ado let's just jump right into it foreign last place and for me I'll place the Assassin's Creed 1 trailer at the bottom now of course since it's the first game in the franchise and it was released all the way back in 2007 the production quality is nowhere near what it is now there is no usage of CGI present for this trailer which is pretty understandable this trailer also practically sets the tone for what Assassin's Creed will be and what an assassin is it's a trailer that at the time of its release made you wonder if you wanted to buy into this new franchise the trailer itself starts off where we can see a public hanging taking place and of course our main man Altair is there to stop it what I love about this trailer well I say love but it is at the bottom but you know what I mean anyway what I love about it is that we see the hidden blade for the very first time in the series and I remember seeing this trailer for the first time many years ago and getting excited at this wrist mounted Blade the ending of this trailer is perfect for the theme of Assassins to hide in plain sight we see Altair walk into a crowd of people dressed in white which perfectly disguises him so you yeah the Assassin's Creed 1 trailer may not have the most beautiful CGI that we have today but it is a staple for the series but unfortunately since I am ranking the trailers one of them has to be at Last Place [Music] okay now this is a weird one it's one that to this day I will never understand why Ubisoft decided not to produce a CGI trailer for Assassin's Creed Odyssey it's like they decided to just take a break and say nah not today I mean yes the game itself may not be everyone's cup of tea but there was pretty much no reason for them to neglect the CGI trailer for it I mean sure there was no assassins in the game itself so making a CGI trailer would deviate from what they usually would produce but still the setting of ancient Greece felt wasted to not have one anyway now that I've said my rant I've gone in second last place with the Assassin's Creed Odyssey E3 2018 trailer now lack of CGI aside this trailer is actually not that bad considering it's full of in-game cinematics seeing Alexius and Leonidas headline this trailer is a pretty cool sight to see we get to see a Greek lifestyle with all the characters in this trailer we even get to see the backstory of alexios from when he was thrown off a cliff by Nicholas as well as some shots of alexias in Greece doing some Greek stuff I guess there's really not much to it except for Ubisoft showcasing us the world of Greece it's pretty brave of Ubisoft to showcase the Spear of Leonidas instead of a hidden blade they definitely thought that would make everyone happy didn't they we all know how that went anyway yeah it's a nice compilation trailer of the game I guess but 12 places where I put it [Music] now we've got quite possibly the shortest cinematic trailer in this entire franchise and that is the Assassin's Creed Rogue World premiere trailer I quite enjoyed this trailer of course it may not be on the level of the other ones after but for the very little time that we get of it I will say it did stick with me for quite a while seeing Shea walk whilst giving his pretty epic templates features one that gave you Goosebumps when you actually pay attention to what he's saying the trailer portrays Shea as this somewhat Sinister villain which of course is a great concept for the element of surprise I mean we're not really used to seeing the darker tone in trailers especially one that consists of the main character killing an assassin rather than a Templar of course when you play the game yourself you do realize that Shay is not this since the villain or a completely heartless person now the one thing that this stand out to me the most in this trailer is the phrase that she says I'll display now so you can hear it still still and I am a hunter I don't know if it's just me but that phrase gave me goosebumps so yeah all in all Assassin's Creed Rogues trailer is short but it's a very catchy one who knows perhaps if they made it longer and added more scenes to it it could have been placed a lot higher foreign place for me would have to be the cinematic trailer for Assassin's Creed Origins this trailer is quite often overlooked and is somewhat underrated if anything it's a trailer that will definitely not jump into the mines instantly when you asked about a cinematic trailer of course the fact that this is an RPG game May play a role in that but to me I found this trailer quite good it's definitely a slow pace trailer when compared to the other ones in the series the soundtrack was more on the unusual side I don't think I've ever heard such deep vocals before I guess the whole concept of this trailer is to showcase the entirety of ancient Egypt and all of its beauty we can see scenery shots mummy is being bandaged and even see the pyramids getting built I assume that's why an RPG cinematic trailer would entail more of World building rather than showing an actual narrative the trailer does do a very good job of portraying who is the bad guys and who's not I did notice this weird transition from night to day which was anything but smooth they definitely could have made that look a whole lot more clean anyway almost two minutes in is where we finally get to see bayek who's our main protagonist it starts to get intense when the fight scene ensures in which we see some not really smooth assassinations it's more raw combat instead of fully developed assassin combat in a game like Assassin's Creed 102. I'd say the fight scenes really stole the show for this entire cinematic trailer as well as some very nice looking shots of ancient Egypt so yeah this trailer is a very good introduction to the large world of Assassin's Creed Origins okay now moving on from Assassin's Creed Origins trailer I've gone with the Assassin's Creed II E3 cinematic trailer this was the trailer that introduced us to probably the most iconic assassin in Ezio Auditore this trailer does such a great job of portraying the location of where the game will take place we can see that the trailer is set more specifically during the colony Valley which we actually played through during the game itself I love how good the trailer's animation is when compared to its previous game being Assassin's Creed 1. despite it only coming out two years after it's crazy how quick technology can evolve in such a short span the trailer showcases one of Ezio's Targets in which he uses quarter sounds to his Advantage which is pretty much the same as in the game itself one of his targets manages to escape in which we see Ezio chase him around Venice which I must say looks stunning in the cinematic trailer credit to Ubisoft for portraying this rendition of Venice this part of the trailer though is my favorite we see Ezio leap down from a building in pure Batman style to confront the target but he's a pretty smart guy I realize it is a trap the usage of the hidden gun is first revealed in this trailer too when it shoots the target from far and executes him so yeah this trailer does such a great job portraying many things that we see in the game there's the introduction of Ezio the beautiful city of Venice at night the carnival the rowing boats and also the introduction of the hidden gun this trailer may not be a top 3 cinematic trailer in the series but since every cinematic trailer in this game is so good there's really no negatives I can say about this trailer [Music] okay now we have Assassin's Creed Black Flag for this one there's actually two cinematic trailers that were released the world premiere trailer and also the E3 trailer however I'm just gonna go over the E3 trailer as that one was the more viewed and remembered one the other trailer was a pretty good one too but there wasn't much to it it was just Blackbeard talking about Edward Kenway throughout the entire thing anyway for the E3 trailer I loved it it does such an amazing job of showcasing the age of piracy with Edward Kenway as the main protagonist the trailer starts off in a bar which is quite like an Edward can waiting to do what I do like about this trailer is that we also see Adam Wale throughout which is a great touch the rest of this bar scene pretty much showcases a bar fight as a distraction for Edward to assassinate a Target we then see a stunning representation of a ship battle which is also shown in the game too I do like the way this trailer showcased both combat from inside the bar and then it ended up in the Ocean between the jackdo and the Spanish ship the rest of this trailer shows Edward Kenway as a pure badass just pretty much taking out enemies one by one until the captain or wherever this guy is appears and then they get into it surprisingly though Edward looks like he's struggling until he manages to make the guy fall over and land under the Helm of the ship and then Edward executes a brutal finisher so yeah this trailer is a very creative way of showcasing the setting of The Game the protagonist and also the naval combat all in all it's a very good trailer it may not be as memorable as the others above it but it's definitely got a lot of cool shots in it foreign now we're entering into the somewhat halfway point of the cinematic trailers and the one I've selected is the Assassin's Creed Syndicate E3 cinematic trailer this trailer does such a great job of showcasing Victorian London during his time period in 1868. it perfectly defines the industrial site that defined this particular era we can see the black smoke coming out the factory chimneys children workers and even the carriages of that time period I love the plot of this trailer it may be four minutes long but in those four minutes it tells such a great powerful story it starts off with Jacob walking down some stairs and I'll be honest when I saw this particular Scene It just reminded me so much of Willy Wonka I know that's really random but I thought I'd just say that we can also see Jacob fry and his Rooks attempt to stop by children laboring scheme in a factory I was kind of disappointed not to see Evie fry in this trailer because we do play with both of them during the game itself anyway we also get to see a pretty intense looking Chase with carriages which is quite unlike what an assassin would do 2 and is the complete opposite of stealth it even ends with Jacob managing to crash it is evident that this trailer is a very different tone when compared to the other Assassin's Creed trailers if somebody who had never played Assassin's Creed watched this trailer they wouldn't really know it would be an Assassin's Creed trailer until Jacob puts his assassin hood on I think my favorite part of this trailer is doing the pub scene where Jacob attempts to gain the Loyalty of some potential Rooks he does this by fighting the quote-unquote main bad guy so yeah overall I love the Noel Gallagher music in the background the fast action scenes and even the usage of the grapple hook making an appearance it's a great trailer it may be a little long but it does tell a really good story maybe if Evie fry was also involved in this trailer it could have pushed it even higher in this video [Music] moving from the Assassin's Creed Syndicate trailer we now have the latest game in the series which is Assassin's Creed Mirage now for the Cinematic World premiere trailer for Mirage I must say I am pretty excited for this game after seeing the trailer it showcases the Journey of our main protagonist Basim ibin ishak going from a young street Thief all the way to a fully fledged assassin the whole transition from start to finish is great the time period of 861 Baghdad is showcased in all of its beauty what I like about this trailer is being able to see a young abbasim fail to attempt a somewhat basic wall climb of course this is because he's not an assassin yet and then we see Roshan come to his rescue who we know would eventually end up becoming his mentor the scenes where we can see Basim training with her on top of Alamo Castle a very very action-packed and speaking of Alamo Castle I love that Ubisoft has implemented such a historical Place into the game especially during the construction of it I don't think we're able to explore in the game however but nonetheless it's still a cool thing to see just seeing bassim's growth from start to finish in this trailer is amazing and considering Ubisoft I saw adamant on taking this franchise to quote-unquote back to its roots is quite hopeful one of my favorite scenes in this trailer is the fight scene between Basim and the Gods on the street we can definitely see the Improvement in his abilities and how much quicker he became over the years of learning the ways of an assassin the trailer ends with Bastian finally approaching his Target who I believe is a member of the order of ancients which is similar to what we had in Assassin's Creed Odyssey with the order of ancient stare as cinematic trailers go this one is one of my favorites it's got everything you could want in an Assassin's Creed trailer all we can do now is hope that the game is good of course if you're watching this after the game has been released then you know the answer to that top 5 Cinema trailers in the van franchise and these next five trailers I talk about are all amazing it was quite difficult to rank these because like I said earlier there is no bad cinematic trailer in this franchise anyway after Assassin's Creed mirage's cinematic trailer I went and decided on the Assassin's Creed Brotherhood trailer now this is a trailer that a lot of people would put at their number one spot but for me I've got a fifth but that's not a bad thing because fifth in this video is still amazing this trailer is one that is very straight to the point and you can instantly understand the plot being told we see the Border family riding through the streets and that's your auditory walking through a crowd to confront them this Brotherhood trailer truly showcases how much of a badass Ezio is portrayed I mean he's quite literally walking in a straight line without giving a single I love the usage of assassin recruits that Ubisoft showcased in this trailer seeing the enemies in front of SEO just getting defeated without him even touching them made this whole scene look quite incredible it's only towards the end of the trailer is when we see the assassin recruits game revealed it tends with both Ezio and his group of Assassins charging head first into cesare Borgia and his guards charging at them oh and I forgot to mention Rodrigo Borger makes a little Cameo just sticking his head out like a disappointed father so yeah this trailer to me is short and simple it's just straight to the point it's a trailer that showcases the usage of assassin recruits as well as seeing Ezio in his prime oh and this trailer also gave birth to one of the most iconic Assassin's Creed videos of all time and that is the Tobuscus Assassin's Creed Brotherhood video I mean it's got more views than any of the Assassin's Creed trailers ever if you somehow have not seen it then I highly recommend you watch it oh boy now this one is a funny one to me Assassin's Creed Valhalla cinematic trailer was probably the biggest false hope I have ever had in this series the game itself is not personal favor of mine but it is one thing that I cannot deny is that the cinematic trailer for this game is one of the best in the franchise everything from the insanely detailed CGI the stunning visuals and even the soundtrack made the cinematic trailer such a top one for me it portrays a viking and all of its brutality perfectly especially with the amazingly choreographed combat scenes we see the trailer start off in Norway where our fellow Vikings look like they're about to head off to England to start a new life the transition from Vikings fighting their enemies to play fighting with their children is one of the better transitions I've seen in cinematic trailers we also get to see our main bad guy being King Alfred who is shown to be the Mastermind behind everything from the moment that we see our battle Vikings travel to England on the ship to them getting bombarded with flaming arrows from the sky to the final part of the trailer where evil stabs what appears to be the mountain from Game of Thrones in the neck with his wrist mounted I mean all mounted hidden blades every single scene from start to finish is simply stunning one thing that I didn't realize about this cinematic trailer is that you can actually watch the female version of this of course it's not gotten near as many views because it's really talked about of course I prefer the male version of the trailer as it just hits more I do get it female evil is the Canon protagonist for the game but it looked quite weird seeing female Avo fight that giant eight foot guy it was not realistic at all but then again nothing is realistic about Assassin's Creed so yeah that's what I've decided on in fourth spot okay now we're approaching the top three Assassin's Creed cinematic trailers these next three are all insane in their own way I think University these next three are the most agreed on of course not in the order that I've gone with but in any particular order I wish I could have placed these next two trailers at the same spot but unfortunately one has to go in third place and for that reason I've gone with the Assassin's Creed 3 E3 trailer this trailer captures just how great of a fighter kinda is it kicks off with the historical Battle of Bunker Hill being showcased which is also a mission that takes place in the game too you also get to see the Majestic ball legal in all of its American Glory too what I like about this cinematic trailer is that it's pure action and it pretty much lets the combat scenes do the talking rather than some boring narration over it we see the eagle appear to transform into Kana which is a nice touch that they added honestly just seeing Connor charge head-on into a group of British soldiers is what makes me love the cinematic trailer it's quite ballsy of course but Kana being the type of person and he is well it's just something he'd do of course the soldiers take inspiration from the Jedis in Star Wars and decide to miss every single shot that they take witnessing Kana in this trailer mow down each British soldier is quite something especially with the music synced up making it perfectly executed and it also gives us a new look at the tomahawk ax that will become Connor's signature weapon in the end we see Kana with some acrobatic bow and arrow movement to take out the leader of the Redcoats who would end up being a Templar the final shot of George Washington shooting himself was just an excellent way to end off this trailer Now we move on to my second favorite Assassin's Creed cinematic trailer honestly the hardest decision for me was between third and second but in the end I decided on the Assassin's Creed Revelations E3 trailer being a second place this trailer honestly just could be a contender for one of the best cinematic trailers in any video game it was a complete shift from what we usually see in cinematic trailers where our assassin is taking out groups of people in this trailer we see an older Ezio in Mafia more than soldiers as if he's still in his prime it's pretty clear that age is not a factor for Ezio in this trailer we also get to see a glimpse of Altair in the crowd which unfortunately destructs SEO as he then ends up getting captured and then sent to leandros where it appears that he's going to hang him off the side of the castle the most interesting thing is the location of where he would get hanged this is the exact same location where we did our very first leap of faith in Assassin's Creed 1 and then just being able to see a ghosty Altair just gave you Goosebumps but it's what happens at the end of the cinematic trailer where many people will get invested the trailer gives you the biggest Cliffhanger in any of the cinematic trailers they've released of course now that it's been over 10 years we pretty much know what happens but back then when this trailer was released the hype was just out the window no pun intended if we go back to the very beginning of the game I love how the trailer transitions from cinematic to gameplay and then starts right where the trailer concludes hands down the greatest part about the cinematic trailer was the music being synced up perfectly with Ezio's combat so yeah that's what my second favorite cinematic trailer is [Music] so here it is my personal favorite cinematic Assassin's Creed trailer I had no problems with this spot as instantly I knew I would be placing it as my favorite and that is the Assassin's Creed E3 World premiere E3 cinematic Jesus it's the Assassin's Creed Unity trailer this one by far is my favorite and for many reasons the music seen the disjointed world of Paris the French Revolution and even the amazing usage of multiple assassins throughout of course the game itself may not be everyone's favorite but if there's one thing that I can appreciate is the work of the cinematic trailer of course the trailer's main focus is the French Revolution showcasing regular folk against the soldiers we get our very first look at Arnold Dorian as our main protagonist alongside three of his other allies on a rooftop stalking their target can I just say the soundtrack for this trailer has to be the best one so far in the entire series I mean Lord sung Everybody Wants to Rule the World was such a perfect fit for this cinematic trade trailer the music synced perfectly with every sequence that was shown I did notice that this trailer took a very similar approach to what Assassin's Creed Brotherhood did where used a public event as a distraction the focus was not just on Arnold but all of the Assassins which is why I love this trailer it doesn't showcase just what Arnold can do but also the rest of the Assassins of course this is obviously a reference to the co-op in the game we also get to look at the Phantom Blade in use which looked great under the arm of that particular assassin the Cinematic ending part was a key standout in this trailer we see the smoke bomb in use in which the Assassins silently take out each guard one by one seeing Arno instead of killing the main target but rather letting him live so that the town's people can instead get him was quite a sight to see honestly when it comes to this trailer it's one that I would go back and watch quite a few times I could not say anything negative about it it's just Peak cinematic Masterpiece in my opinion so there you have it those are my personal favorite cinematic trailers in Assassin's Creed now let me just say there are no underwhelming or bad cinematic trailers I'm excited to see what the future holds for the cinematic trailers in this franchise because I know for a fact that they'll only get better over time so yeah if you enjoyed this video be sure to subscribe and leave a like it will help me out a lot and with that said I'll see you in the next one
