- I'm gonna get some hate
today, I'm gonna get some hate, we're gonna start some fights. Hey everyone, I'm Kelsey Impicciche. I love the Sims 4. I play it kind of professionally, so in my professional opinion which is the best Expansion
Pack in the Sims 4? I've done one of these videos before, if you wanna see my previous
ranking, go check that out. I've also ranked all the
Game Packs and Stuff Packs, if you wanna check out those. If you want me to redo those as well, let me know in the comments below, and if you're new here, make sure to hit that subscribe button and
turn on the notification bell so you're notified every
time a new video goes live. So last time I ranked all of the packs, but I think there was
only eight at the time, there are no 11 packs and I
think my tastes have changed. So I wanted to do a little
update of this video, give you guys a little insight into what I think are the best value packs. What are the packs I play with the most, what of the packs I think
you should highly consider. I don't really think there's any more else to say at the beginning of this video so let's just jump in and
check out all of these packs. In The Sims 4 there are 11 packs. There is the most recently updated and added Sims 4, Cottage Living, Snowy Escape, Eco Lifestyle, Discover University,
Island Living, Get Famous, Seasons, Cats and Dogs, City Living, Get Together and Get To
Work, the first pack. Let's start with my number 11 choice, this is the bottom ranked Sims Pack. This is the pack I think
if you had to choose one to just not buy, this is the one I would
suggest and unfortunately that is 'Get To Work.' Now as much as I really
love 'Get To Work,' I really think the gameplay
gets very monotonous. I've only done really the
doctor and scientist career. I've done the scientist's
career to its completion. I've done that in my
not so very challenge, if you haven't seen that, go check it out. For every promotion, a little
bit of new stuff is added but for the most part, you're doing kind of the same four tasks using
the same environment every day, which you know, at the
office you normally would. The only good thing I would say that this adds is the addition of aliens. I also don't think the like,
Create a Sim Items are all that necessary, like the hairs are pretty
terrible looking, TBH. It is the first pack that
they ever came out with, I think they learned a lot from this pack. If you really are interested
in going to work with a Sim, it's great but otherwise I
think it's a pretty simple one to just overlook. So unfortunately, Sims 4, Get
To Work, you are bottom tier. So for the number 10 spot, it's a little different than what I think anyone would expect. I have to say it's Eco Lifestyle. I know so many people love this pack. The thing is, I just don't use it. I hate when my neighborhood
action plans mess with my gameplay, like
sometimes they'll pass something that I really didn't want and then all of a sudden everybody comes into my house and steals everything, this legitimately happened. Here's the thing, for me, unless you're specifically
playing Eco Lifestyle, unless you're wanting a
play through of his pack. I don't think this pack
adds to any other gameplay. In terms Create a Sim
Items, they're pretty great. They're all very hipster,
hippie kinda looks. I think a lot of them are
like a little too odd, like this pair of pants. I do also like the piercings, if you're into piercings, I mean, well, why would you buy a
whole Expansion Pack just for piercings? I don't know. There are a lot of great
Build Items, I will admit. I really do love what they
did with the Build Mode Items. I would seriously miss that. So if you're a Build Mode kinda person, you might really rank Eco
Lifestyle a lot higher. Overall, in terms of like actual gameplay, most of the time I just turn it off, like I don't even want it around. Also, let me know in the
comments if you agree with me that you don't like
Eco Lifestyle that much. I don't know, maybe I'm crazy. And number nine, this breaks
my heart, it's Snowy Escape. Listen, I love 'Snowy Escape.' I love the idea of like living
in a Japan inspired world. I love the snowboarding,
hairs and the Build Items. I love it all. I just think that in terms of gameplay, I really don't use it almost at all. Unless you're super
interested specifically in 'Snowy Escape' for what it offers, It's an easily missed pack
because I don't miss it in my game play at all
and I hardly use it. In terms of Create a Sim Items, I really like them. I think they're really pretty. I love this hair, the colors are fine. I'll say the Build Mode is just excellent but in terms of like how
often I use these items, not often and I don't ever have any of my Sims go skiing all that much. I could wax poetic about how much I love 'Snowy Escape' all day but unfortunately it just doesn't impact my greater game 90% of the time, So. In number eight, another
controversial choice, Discover University. I am so sorry, I know so
many people love University and University gameplay. I hate it, I hate having
to do all the homework. It's both too short and
too long, like the days are so short that you can't pack in anything and it feels like you have so many classes and you
can't really socialize. It's realistic to school in real life but also like very
frustrating if you're trying to like tell a story. The campuses itself, I don't really go there unless
I'm going to university. The ping pong and the
school mascots and stuff, they're all really fun. I just think it's not as
rich as I would've wanted it. The Create a Sim Items are very cute. I think, you know, there're
are some really good hairs and really great outfits I will say. That's probably one of the reasons why it's ranked as high as it is for me is because the outfits are just so cute. The architecture is really
cute because it gives you kind of that collegiate,
brick, stone, facade vibe, which is great. But overall, I think there's
other packs that kind of give you a similar aesthetic to that, that I like a lot more for the gameplay. So this is kinda low. I'm sorry, I'm sorry to all of
the collegiate fans out there but that's just how I feel. In number seven spot
it is, 'Get Together.' Now, Get Together, I
ranked really low last time and I feel like I've changed my tune because at the time, I never used clubs. Now I use clubs a lot more
but it's more for hacks. It's a good hack though. So I wouldn't wanna live without it. So in The Sims 4, Get Together
you can discover this world of Windenburg, Windenburg
is very like European which I really love. Essentially, the big thing is you can go to clubs and you can make groups. I use the clubs and the groups so much because you can make
little clubs for like, how rich people are if you're
doing a gold digger challenge or you can make clubs for teens, so you can find where all the teens are. It just makes gameplay a little more easy to like auto find groups of people throughout the world
and group them together. I also do like the
dancing skill for my Sims, I think it's like a nice thing. In terms of CAS items,
there's some cute stuff. I wouldn't say it's
anything to write home about but the build items I
think are really great, especially if you were
looking for that more European or even like that
collegiate style that we saw in Discover University, like I think you could
still accomplish something like that with these build items. But again, it's like, a little lower because if you don't
really use the main thing which is making the clubs, then it's kinda, you can pass on it. - Okay, in number six I
have put 'Get Famous.' I really do enjoy like
making my Sims famous. So getting popularity, there's also a ton of different ways to make the Sim famous. It's not just about acting, essentially any career you
can vaguely become famous in which was kinda fun
and then the fame has like that fame ranking that a lot of the games have where you can unlock
certain things from being famous, like you can unlock the
ability to become friends with other celebrities or you
can have endorsement deals. I think they do a pretty
decent job with it. It also includes an acting
career that you can go to and do. In terms of the Create a Sim Items, I don't think they're really that great to be honest in this one, which is another reason why
it's like a little lower. I do like the amount of scars
that it adds to this game. I think that's kind of fun
and then in Build Mode Items, it's a lot of like Hollywood
stuff, Hollywood sets but there's like a little bit
of mid-century modern stuff in here that is like pretty okay. Overall, I didn't rank it super duper high but it is kind of in
the middle of the pack. That brings us to number five. our number five choice is 'Island Living.' I love this pack. 'Island Living,' I use quite a bit. I love the lifestyle. I love the world that it introduces and it's like the only one of it's kind, you could have a beach day,
you can make sand castles, you can swim, you can jet
ski, you can be in a boat, you can sun tan. It makes great vacation
spots for your game. I end up going there pretty frequently. The Create a Sim Items I think
makes sense for the world. They're all very colorful. There's a lot of like
really cute beachy items. I love this dress, I use it all the time, I'm sure you've seen me and it also introduces
mermaids, which, you know, is really cool if you wanna play as like a more fantastical creature. The build items are so
good, they're perfect if you're wanting to make a beach house or just like a more
tropical looking location. Most of these kinds of
chairs and things like that are actually really
in style right now, so it can serve dual purposes, I would still use this and I
do use it a lot in my gameplay, these kind of things. Coming in at number four, I am going to place 'Cottage Living' here. I really liked 'Cottage Living,' I think they did a pretty
great job with this pack. So the 'Cottage Living,'
if you don't already know, it's a Game Pack about
living a cottage life, kind of in an English
inspired countryside, a close knit community, you can cook with ingredients that you find around the house. It's essentially kind
of like casual farming. The Create a Sim Items are adorable. They really nailed both like actual English countryside fashions but also like cottage core looks. So they gave you a
little bit of everything. There are also quite a few
great Build Mode Items, this also gives you kind
of that storybook look or really unique that you
can kinda get in other packs but not quite as well I
think as in this pack. It also introduces
cross-stitch as an activity that your Sims can do and then the world itself is really fun. There are certain characters
that only exist in this world. There's a mayor, there's like a grocer. I think there's a lot more lore to this pack than maybe
other packs have in the past. There's also in this pack you can ask to do favors for people
and they'll pay you. So like there's other
things that help build, like the bartender really
wants you to meet people and get a package for her
and I think that's a fun way of like having you interact with the characters around the world. So I ranked it pretty high. Let me know how you would
rank 'Cottage Living' though. It's a little hard to do. Coming in at number three,
it is 'Cats and Dogs.' Now listen, I think I put 'Cats and Dogs' at two last time and I
kinda knocked it down and here's my reasoning. I love having pets, obviously
in my game I have a pet, I'm a pet owner myself. I think it adds so much because all of the families can have
pets and things like that but one thing is, I
also think in the game, pets can kind of be annoying. They're are a lot of work,
you always kinda have to stop things to take care of the pets, they can kinda interrupt
your gameplay a little bit. So unless you actually
really wanna take care of a pet all the time, it's not the best. I wish that it kind of
auto-generated more pets in the world so you just see people out with their dogs a lot more than you do but overall, I think that
it's a really great pack. There's a lot of options
in customizing the pets. You can like paint on them and stuff and make them look exactly
like your pet if you want. You can even become a vet and
run a clinic, which is cool. I think it just adds
more depth and realism to the game and that's why
I've ranked it pretty high. However, I do think if you're
not super interested in pets, you could completely never buy this and you would be fine and not
really miss out on anything. I also think this adds
a new world as well. The world I don't use as
much, it's like coastal, it's a cute town. I also think the Creative
a Sim stuff is pretty cute, they have some fun curly
hairs and some cute outfits. In terms of Build Mode Items, I think they added a lot of, you know, like shabby chic almost,
coastal, preppy looking stuff. I don't know, I always
waffle with where to put 'Cats and Dogs.' So I put it pretty high. Number two might be a bit
of surprise to you guys because I feel like I
didn't rank it nearly as high last time but it's 'City Living.' I think that's kinda crazy. I love 'City Living.' I love being able to
move my Sims into a city, into apartments, you
can add different things to your apartment, so some will break down all the time whereas some are really fancy. I love that if you put
other Sims as neighbors in your apartments, you're gonna see them in the hallway a lot, which is really fun. I really liked the
metropolitan career options that they have. I also really like the
festivals that come in which impacts my gameplay a lot more when I'm in other worlds. I also just like San Myshuno. I think it's a good city. I love walking around there into the little different neighborhoods. I also love karaoke, I think it's such a
fun date night activity that your Sims can and go. I also think the Create a Sims
Items are a little creative. Have I loved anyone Create a Sim Items? I really liked the cultural stuff. I think it's a lot more
multicultural of a pack. However, I do think some of the stuff that's not cultural, it's just like weird. Like these two. What are they doing there? This, gorgeous, this, hmm. In terms of Build Mode Items, I think they add a lot of nice stuff. I think it's like a little multicultural but also some standards and modern stuff that I think I use pretty
frequently throughout my game. I think I ranked it really high this time but I mostly feel solid about that. I still think it's a really
good addition to any game, and last but certainly not least in my ranking is of course 'Seasons.' It's ranked number one every
time and I stand by it. Sims 4, Seasons introduces of course, seasonal activities and
seasons into your game. It makes it so much more realistic. Feels like the passage
of time and your family and growing like adds
more spice and flavor to all of your gameplay,
no matter where you are. There's like weather,
so it might rain on you or there'll be sunny days or cold days. The weather can also like
impact your Sims moods and things like that,
which honestly, same. And I think the outfits are pretty cute, here's some good accessories, stuff that just really
makes sense for the pack. In terms of Build Items,
I like a lot of the stuff. I love these beds and these tubs and all the holiday decorations. There's also ice skating
and roller skating. That would make a very
cute date for any Sim and I just love that Santa Claus comes and you can hang out with the
kids and it's just so cute. I can't say enough good
things about 'Seasons.' So yeah, it is number one. I think it's a must have in terms of a Game Pack if you had
to pick, I think that's always the first one I recommend to anyone because it just adds
so much flavor to your game. So there you have it. Those are my rankings from 11 to one, even while saying them,
I was still unsure. It's hard to choose your favorites. I think just at the end
of the day it depends on what kind of game you wanna play. I think that's the cool
part about the Sims too. Let me know how you'd rank the
packs in the comments below. Let me also know if you want to see me re-rank the
Game Packs and Stuff Packs from the Sims with all
of the new additions that we have now and until next time guys, I'll see you around
the internet very soon. Bye. (gentle upbeat music)
