ranking every barbie sidekick from trash to bibble

hello everyone my name is Caitlin welcome back to my channel so as I'm sure most of you guys know I have been making Barbie movie videos on my channel for a few years now and one of the most requested videos I have gotten would have to be to rank these Sidekicks I mean as well as like ranking all the villains and all the Bane Barbie Pro tags but like we'll save those for another day and I chose to do the sidekicks this week specifically because to be completely honest I didn't post last week and so I was like you know what this seems like I could do this really quick crank this one out and then on to the next thing but honestly I should have known like I can't just crank out of our movie ranking like I take these things very seriously and it's never just gonna be an easy to ask and at first I was like you know what I'll just focus on like the main Barbie characters Sidekicks we'll just rank those and then move on into the next thing but I was like no I can't do that because then we're missing icons like Wolfie and Otto and so I had to include every single sidekick because that's just that's just who I am so we're going to be ranking 45 Barbie movie animal Sidekicks today I did end up cutting a few like minor characters and just characters I felt like were more like Mentor figures than Sidekicks but I feel like I got all the main ones and we're gonna be talking about them and so just like with my Barbie movie song ranking video I did decide to split this list up into a few categories just to make things easier for myself and so we have five to go over today they each have about 10 or so characters in them starting with the I actively dislike you tier and ending with the you deserve your own spin-off tier before I jump right into it though I did just have to give a quick shout out to my video from last week or I guess two weeks ago now because that video kind of flopped and it made me really sad because probably one of my favorite videos I've ever posted on my channel it's another one of my acting videos I've done with my family before and they're always just one of my absolute favorite types of videos to do just because they are so funny and I just love the results every single time and so I highly recommend you check out that video even if you're like not familiar at all with dreamworkships I guarantee that you will have a good time um and so yeah that's my Shameless plug with all that being said let's jump right into these Sidekicks alright so as per usual I do have my notes listed on my phone here because we have a lot of characters to go over today so if I'm looking down a lot that is why I need to consult my notes um so starting off at the bottom of the list with the I actively dislike you tier um we've got 10 characters to go over I feel like the title of this tier kind of speaks for itself these are the ones that I actively dislike and so let's just jump right into it I feel like I've said that like three times in this video so far and I just wanted to apologize all right so at number 10 we have Murray from Pearl Princess he was caligo's eel so he was like the evil guys like henchman sort of sidekick guy obviously I don't like him because he was evil also he was like chill with murder which is not something that I'm chill with and I hope the people watching will agree with me on that he also kidnaps Lumina and Cuda and is like laughing about it while he's doing it and just like having a grand old time and I'm just like that is not something that I stand for I also just didn't really like his like character design I feel like he looks not nice and so that's why he is at the bottom of this list and number nine we have slider from Diamond Castle and so he was Lydia's flying serpent another villain um that might be a common theme at the bottom of this list because I don't like people who want to kill other people that's just not something I'm about he can also sense singing with his horn thing which I'm not really too sure why I felt like that was necessary to write down probably was because it made me uncomfortable but that was a thing that he can do he also gets pleasure of kidnapping people just like Marie which I do not condone he also tries to eat lily at one point which is one of the girls's puppies and throws her across the room which is not cool there was also the time when he pushed the girls off a cliff in an attempt to murder them um and he also just like walks funny he just is a has a funny walk that I don't like um honestly after I read all those things I feel like he might have even been worse than Murray but there is the fact that I do think that slider is a good villain like yes he does all these things that are terrible but that's part of like the villain role that you gotta play in a Barbie movie and I feel like he did that role pretty well but I still just can't condone any of his behaviors and therefore he is at the bottom of this list and number eight we've got Alistar from mermaid tail so he was that evil little fish from the second movie he was the replacement of the sidekick from the first movie after Remo turned good they're like okay she needs a new evil sidekick and so that's when Alistar came into the picture some notable things that he did were tell Kylie about morelia's necklace and like coerced her into putting it on and turning into a mermaid and then he just traps her forever ever in the whirlpool thing well it wasn't forever merlia comes and saves her but like as far as he knew it was gonna be forever but then there is also the fact that he was being threatened by heiress throughout it like if it wasn't going to be Kylie it would have been him so that does give me some sympathy towards him um but I just don't like him I don't like his little mustache like I said I don't like his face I don't like his attitude he basically like flip-flops to whatever side is on top so when he sees some promise with Eris he's like sure I'll be with her but then once she's defeated he's like all right I'll be good I'm just like nah I don't trust you I think you got bad vibes I think you're two-faced and you are just a trash character therefore you are on the bottom of this list onto the next Brutus from 12 Dancing Princesses so he was the duchess's pet monkey and I'm sure we all remember him and his Antics he's just honestly just like a little Menace and he just does so many things in this movie that I just do not like and so I wrote down all of them so first of all he picks on Twyla for no reason what's up with that I don't like bullying um he spies on the girls and then relays the info like a lot of the conflicts in this movie would not have happened without broodness and I feel like I'm contradicting myself because then that makes him kind of necessary but that still doesn't mean I have to like him which I don't he snoops through their things without a care going as far as to break some of them and sleep in their beds and jump on their beds he's just so disrespectful to them in their property which I do not like he leads the duchess to their secret dance Pavilion in the end resulting in them all getting trapped there he tries to pluck Felix's feathers one by one and just yeah his name's Brutus like what a terrible name I apologize if anyone named Brutus is watching this but I'm like I just no I can't do that at number six we have Pim from The Nutcracker so he was a bat and he was the mouse King's sidekick so obviously he's evil as well he would encourage the mouse King to turn people into stone and would like get excitement out of it but there is also the fact that he is being threatened to do what he is doing out of the fear that he will also be turned into stone if he doesn't comply with the most King's wishes but honestly he was just such a kiss up and had like one of the most annoying voices I've ever heard in my entire life that I just had to put him near the bottom of this list there's also the fact that he might have died due to a snowball hitting him and I just feel like that kind of weak like I feel like he's a bat he should have been able to handle that but he could not apparently or maybe he's still alive I don't know um maybe they were setting it up for a sequel and then that never happened who's to say definitely not me let's move on to number five and number five we've got another bat which is Boris from Mariposa two he is Gillian's bat he is evil as well but he was kind of funny he did have some comical moments that I was like all right you get some bonus points from me but he was also an accomplice to the kidnapping of Katiana which was not cool and he also just had no character growth like even at the end of the movie when they lost and whatever he was still just like I am an evil bat and I will keep on being evil and I was just like no no no I would have loved to see some character growth but we did not get any of that and so that is Boris at number five and number four we've got Bruce from Princess Power he was the evil guy's little frog sidekick and I honestly don't have much to say about this little frog um besides the fact that he was chaotic and clumsy which was kind of fun and quirky to see uh he also got super powers at one point near the end of the movie so that's cool but honestly not much say about Bruce and so that's why he's like just down the bottom I'm like I just don't like you and so that's how I feel about that and number three we've got puzzle with from Christmas Carol so he is Eden's cat so he follows her along on her like ghost dream Journey sort of thing and he's just always kind of there like I feel like he doesn't really do anything but his presence is constant throughout the film and I kind of feel like I wish it wasn't I just don't like him I don't know why actually I do know why it's because I don't like his character design and I never found any of his jokes funny and so I'm just like I could care less about you um the only thing I wrote down is that he hates nicknames so like like what even is that that's not even a good characteristic but that's like all I've got for him and so yeah that's chuzzle wit I don't like him so let's move on to number two which is Dizzle from magic of the Rainbow so this was like the pink Bibble knockoff from the third Fairytopia movie because for some reason they thought that Bibble needed a love interest which I'm just like no Bibble does not need a love interest Bibble is a free man and is an entity all enough himself and so I just feel like Dizzle was just kind of like unnecessary like yeah sure I'm all for Bible having like a little friend but we all knew that that's not what they were trying to do they were like we're gonna make a pink Bibble and they're gonna fall in love and I'm just like stop it I don't like this I would have preferred if they were just friends but no they had to make it weird and that's just how I feel at this current moment in time alright so at the top of my I actively dislike you tear we have atika from Island Princess obviously there is the fact that her character design is very uncanny and you've seen many memes throughout the years addressing this I think it's the eyelashes in particular that just really rub me the wrong way I do not like looking at Tikka but then it doesn't help that her character is kind of awful I just personally don't like her like yes she does come around in the end but she's just so whiny throughout the entirety of the film like I feel like she acts like rose child which is just such a weird dynamic because she's not her child she's also just so self-centered and not good at putting Rose feelings above her own or seeing things from her perspective and then there's also the fact that she hid the note from Antonio so Ro wouldn't see it and then that caused a whole Fiasco and whatnot um but like I said yeah she does come around in the end and obviously she helped cure all the animals which is great and like yeah she's just a kid maybe I'm being too hot harsh on her and we do get some valuable lessons out of her so there's that um but I just personally feel like she's annoying and she's always bugged me and I don't like her character design and so she's just she's got to be in this category that's just the way it is so next we have the you did absolutely nothing category in which we have the list of Sidekicks that did absolutely nothing throughout the entirety of the film they're just there to be cute and sell to ways I assume um and so yeah let's talk about them I think I've got six in this category no seven we've got seven so let's talk with them see I almost felt like I should have this category under the actively dislike category because I feel like it's almost worse when the characters are just like there and serve no purpose the plot whatsoever but it's hard because like I said I don't actively dislike any of these characters I just feel like indifferent towards them and so that's why I ended up putting them above the other ones but yeah that's that so number seven we've got Vanessa and riff from Princess and the Pop Star so they were the princess and the pop stars as dogs and I'm ranking them together as one character because I felt like they did have enough personality to rank them each on their own because like this category says they did absolutely nothing they were just there they did have some quirks like I feel like riff was a bit more like rambunctious than Vanessa because Vanessa like grew up in the palace and whatnot but like they're honestly just there to like watch things unfold and did not do anything so that's why they are at the bottom of this category next up we've got snowy from Princess Adventure who was Princess Amelia's rabbit the only thing I wrote down for this was that they existed so I feel like that seeks for itself I feel like they did absolutely nothing in this film and I honestly couldn't even tell you the gender of this rabbit so that is why they're at the bottom of this list next up we've got Parker and Newton from Princess Powers they were the princess's pets and they honestly reminded me a lot of Vanessa and riff just in the fact that they were just always kind of there not really doing anything but they were there throughout the entirety of the film they also got superpowers at one point near the end and like they were also present when what's her name Clara Chiara I don't remember her name but they were there when she discovered her power hours and I guess they kind of helped her in that in a way but other than that I was just kind of like why are you here besides like probably to add on a little sort of puppy or cat along with the merchandise but now that I'm thinking of it I don't even think I remember any puppy or cat that went along with any of the dolls I mean maybe I'm mistaken but the doll that I got definitely didn't come with either of those things so then I'm like even more so what is the point of these characters there wasn't one besides like to be cute I guess I don't know let's move on number four we've got Z from Mariposa two so she was mariposa's puffball that just like shows up out of nowhere in the second movie like Mariposa did not have a puffball in the first movie where did Z come from why does he exist I don't know what happened to zinsy who knows we may never know the only thing I wrote down is I don't like her eyelashes so she clearly did nothing throughout this film and so that's why she's in this category at number three we have the gemstone Dolphins from Dolphin magic and I honestly wasn't even too sure if I like should include these or not but then I guess they kind of like serve as the mermaid sidekick and so I was like okay I guess I'll include them but I feel like they don't really do that much throughout this film but yeah I'm glad that they were able to save them so that's good next we've got Sparkles and Lily from Diamond Castle so they were the puppies that lyanna and Alexa found in this like Flower Valley thing um and yeah they're just kind of there throughout the movie they can dance which is fun they do help save the girls at the end which is why they're kind of near the top of this category oh and they also saved the mirror from being lost in the wave pool at the end so we stand them for that but honestly whenever I think back to these puppies I'm just like why and number one we've got snotes from mermaid tail so he was uh Kaylee and zylie's sea lion he does not speak throughout the entirety of either of these films even though like every other animal is anthropomorphic is that the right word I think so right where they like talk but they don't like walk on two legs but like they do all talk except for snows snouts is kind of more like a dog but he's a sea lion it's kind of like Goofy and Pluto how they both exist in the same universe they're both dogs but Pluto is like a dog like we know in our universe we're as goofy as like a human so that's kind of like snows anyways I'm going on about this for too long um I like snouts he's cute he's like a curious little guy um he helped Maria get the comb in the first movie and he's really good at charades which is cute I like that but like was he that necessary I don't know I feel like he didn't really do much besides like be cute and exist and so that's why he is in this category but at the top because for some reason I am a little bit biased towards notes probably just because he is like a cute little dog even though he is a sea lion um but yeah that is the end of the you did nothing category so that brings us to the I like the idea of you category which I feel like I don't really know how to explain what this category means I hope that the title is explanation enough it's kind of just like I like the concept of you as a character but your execution wasn't the best and I feel like you do kind of bug me at times and like I like you but not enough to have you be any higher than like mid category on this list and so this I think is the biggest category with 14 characters which I guess makes sense because there's a lot of characters and so like not many of them are gonna make me actively like them or actively dislike them and so a lot of them are gonna fall like in the middle range which I guess is what this section is for and so let's jump right into number 14 which is Juliana from fashion fairy tale so she was Aunt Millicent's cat she was kind of squeamish and a little bit stuck up and like kind of rude at the beginning but she comes around in the end and so yeah I like the idea of her but I'm not too crazy about her as a character and number 13 we have the puppy so Barbie and her sister's puppies they're a featured throughout a variety of the films so like great puppy Adventure puppy Chase dolphin magic basically the current like run of Barbie is featuring these puppies um and like they're fine they're puppies I don't really care that much for them I just don't really have any emotional attachment to them and also they're like the reason that puppy Chase exists and you guys know how feel about that movie and so that definitely knocks some points off from them but like they're cute and they're fine and so that's why they're here um okay number 12 we've got Percy from Spy Squad so he was like their Tech robot guy uh the only thing I wrote down is that he is not interested in love because there was like another tech bot that kind of served more as like a mentor figure and she was like kind of crushing on Percy and Percy was like no no I am all about business um so that was a thing um he was pretty helpful with missions though so I will give him that um but I don't really care that much about him so that's why he's number 12. and number 11 we've got Jacques from fashion fairy tales he was Aunt Millicent's dog uh he is the complete opposite of Percy because he falls in love with sequin like right off the bat it is love at first sight and I respect him for that um he has a French accent which is fun especially because the film takes place in Paris so like I feel like they probably all should have had French accents but that's okay at least the dog has one um and he's also a designer which is fun you know a dog designer I love to see it so yeah that's why he's number 11. and number 10 we have zinzi from Mariposa so like I said she was like mariposa's like bunny sort of butterfly thing I did write down what she was called um a miwa apparently was her species but she's basically just like a bunny butterfly fairy sort of thing she talked very very fast and was like kind of a little bit of a menace she throws seeds at fairies and we'll just like do anything for food but honestly it all came down to the fact that she was just so lonely inside and I really do feel for her in that aspect she did help him out and numerous times throughout the film and so there's that but there is also the fact that I just didn't really like looking at her she kind of made me uncomfortable I don't know what it was something about her character design I just wasn't crazy about and so that's why she is kind of near the bottom of this list and number nine we've got Cuda from Pearl Princess she was lumina's little seahorse buddy I honestly don't really have much to say about her she was fine she was a good friend to Lumina but I personally found her to be a little bit boring so that's why she's here uh next at number eight we have a new from Mariposa two so he was Princess katiana's puffball and he was like this angry little boy and I don't know what it was about him but I was kind of there for it like I found him to be very funny and he learns throughout the end he becomes like this nice little Puffer all I thought that that was some nice character growth to see from Anew um so yeah I liked him I don't love his character design but I did like his like personality and number seven we've got sequin from fashion fairy tale so she is Barbie's dog in this film I feel like she's a very fitting type of dog like you think fashion fairy tale Runway and like a poodle just makes sense also my mom loves poodles she has three of them shout out to Heather and so I don't know it just made me think of my mom which is a good thing I guess I don't know uh she can also sew which is fun I gotta give her major props for that like she's a dog who can sew not many dogs can do that I would actually argue that no dogs could do that I guess unless you're in the Barbie Universe in which anything is possible and number six we have vient from the Three Musketeers so she was Corinne's cat and now you could argue that she also does absolutely nothing throughout the entirety of this film and she is just kind of there but I just gotta give this girl major props because she wanted to be a musketeer and she did it she was a musketeer and I love that for her and I feel like she also defeated the dog like she was like don't worry guys I got this bad dog and she put that dog in its place and I love that for her and she's also just really freaking cute so like I'm probably a little bit biased to her just because I think her character design is adorable at number five we've got Prince from Princess Charm School and I feel like I don't really have much to say about him besides the fact that I definitely feel like he is like the most realistic dog character out of all these movies there's just something about him that just feels so wholesome and genuine and then there's the obvious fact that he like knows that Blair is the princess right off the bat um he also helps convince her to stay and then tackles the guy with the crown at the end and just yeah he's very cute but I am kind of indifferent towards him just because he is so dog-like if that makes sense like I don't really get to see much of him as a character because he is just kind of a dog um but yeah I still love him and so that's why he's number five number four is azul from island princess who I have many thoughts on so let's get into them so he's obviously Rose peacock friend he's very full of himself he thinks he's a prince I'm not too sure what the lore is there is it like known that like peacocks are like the princes of the animal kingdom because I've never really heard of that before but apparently Azul is a prince which is fun and so he did help save row at the beginning of this film and there was also the fact that him along with rose other animal Sidekicks do save all the other animals from dying and stop the wedding and so that was great but overall I must say I do kind of find Azul to be a little bit annoying and so that's why he is like in this category and not the next one but I do still love him for like what he is and so that's how I feel about Azul on to number three which is Midas from The Princess and the popper so he is obviously preminger's dog but he kind of serves as like the antagonist to Wolfie and Seraphina um I'm not really too sure what else to say about him so I'll just read what I wrote down which is that he has a gold tooth a dumb haircut pulled Erica's wig off and scared Seraphina a lot which I don't like um but other than that he doesn't really do that much but I still love him I feel like he's a very iconic Barbie movie sidekick and like yes he's a villain but I still think he's a good one so that's when he is where he is at number two we've got Felix from the 12 Dancing Princesses so he is Derek's bird and he is also the only animal in this film that talks so that is a thing and he uses that that to his advantage to oftentimes just like tease Derek about his crush on Genevieve which I like because that means that he ships it which like same he is a little bit annoying and kind of sassy but like clearly he is a good friend to Derek and the fact that he gave up his horse in exchange for him and so he's got that going for him um and so yeah I like him but like I don't know this is where he is um so that brings us to number one of the I like the idea of you category is that what I titled this one I think so okay so at number one we've got wenlock's Griffin from Magic of Pegasus so like yes this character has his faults he tries to kill Aiden he doesn't really do anything he doesn't even really have a name but I just personally think he's really cool like he's this big flying Griffin how could you not think that that's a cool character um there's also the fact that he's actually like a scrawny little cat which I think just makes the whole thing even better um but yeah that's what I feel about when Lux Griffin I wasn't even too sure if I should include him but I just like thought about it and I was like no I gotta like he's so cool like he's like this big flying thing and I think he's great so yeah and he's a good contrast to like the Pegasus in the movie you know because he's like a big flying Griffin anyways moving on to the your perfect category these are all of the sidekicks that I feel like are perfect and can do no wrong but they're not perfect enough that I feel like I would want a spin-off of them I just think that they're perfect so that's how I feel about that so we've got six characters to go over let's do this number six we've got popcorn from Starlight Adventure so popcorn is Barbie's little puffball pet throughout the first half of the film and then she pops and she turns into this like Space Cat thing throughout the second half of the film but then she's like super disappointed because when she was the puffball form she could fly but then when she turns into this cat she can't fly anymore and so they make this lovely Contraption for her that allows her to fly and I just think that she is adorable in both forms she's super playful and fun and just like a really cute character who I love and so I just had to have her in this category because yeah I love her and she's really cute so that's popcorn number five is Zuma from mermaid tail which I was honestly on the fence of including because I kind of feel like Zuma is more of a mentor figure than a sidekick but then in the merchandise and whatever she was definitely like used as a sidekick so I was like all right we'll include her so she is merlia's Dolphin friend slash spirit guide she's basically like the knower of all the mermaid lore and she's super helpful throughout the first movie then she basically becomes kind of more of like her mom's sidekick in the second a movie but she's still there and being her iconic Zuma self and I love her very much and so that is why she's in the Perfection category Tallulah from Island Princess so she is the Queen's monkey and I must say I've always felt like she has a very similar character design to Brutus from 12 Dancing Princesses which has always made me had like a weird sort of like connotation attached to her that has made me not like her as much but I still feel like she is just such an adorable character she is a little bit stuck up as a result of being raised by royalty but I really like how Ro is able to help her get in touch with her roots in this movie and yeah she's just adorable and so I just had to have her here at number three we've got Hobie from Rapunzel so he was Rapunzel's little rabbit friend and to be completely honest I've always kind of found him to be a little bit annoying but I do still love him very dearly I love how good of a friend he is to Rapunzel I think it's really cool how he's able to like alert Rapunzel of whenever Gothel is near and he just like he says it like it is like that one line that he says when Rapunzel says that the prince is like one of the most beautiful men that she's ever seen in her life and he's just like how many men have you seen before though like this guy is just so real and genuine and I love him like the moment where him and Penelope go and like crush a bunch of berries for her sweat she can paint or when he sacrifices himself to like stall Gothel like I just feel like he's just such a good friend and would do anything for her and so that's why I just had to have him be a little bit higher on this list because I do think that he is perfection even though he does get on my nerves at times and number two is Twyla from the tall Dancing Princesses and now that I'm like just sitting here evaluating things like I've been talking about Sidekicks for however long I've been sitting here I'm starting to wonder if maybe I ranked her a little bit too high and like maybe that was my own like personal Nostalgia and bias talking because like does Twyla really do that much no she's just kind of barely yeah she dances and she's cute and I do like how she does stand up to Brutus and she tries to protect the girls as things in that one scene that was really sweet but like other than that does she do much no but I already ranked her here and I don't want to change things so this is where Twyla is um and I have to stand by that because I do really like her character design and I really like the movie so this is where she is on the list all right a number one of the Perfection tier we have Saji from Island Princess so this is the last of Rose Sidekicks from Island Princess I honestly was not expecting him to be this high up on the list but there is just something so comforting about his character like yes he is a little bit uncanny looking and those eyes and eyelashes are just like not a great mix however he is just such a good father figure and he just gives the best advice that I just feel like I'm able to get past his very odd character design and just like the other Sidekicks from this movie he helps save Row in the beginning and end and so I just feel like he is a true Gem of a character and I love him and he's Perfections that's why he's at the top of this category let's move on to the last category of this list which is the characters that I feel like 100 deserve a spin-off so we've got eight characters to talk about starting off with Remo from mermaid tail so I just absolutely fell in love with this character to be honest I completely forgot about his existence until making this video but I am so glad that I was reminded of it because he's just so cute and adorable and he has such a good character development in the first film by starting off as the villain sidekick but then ending up helping Maria in the end and then in the second movie how he becomes like this newscast announcer person and like him and his little shell like he's just so adorable he's a sea dragon which I just feel like is so cool and just yeah I love his color scheme everything about him I feel like if they made a whole like little spin-off animated series like a little like short series sort of thing where it's only like a couple minutes per episode of him just like recapping I don't know something in the Barbie Universe like I would be all about that I would love it so very much and so that is why I feel like he deserves his own spin-off I definitely did not intend to talk about what's the spin-off would entail for each of these characters so do not expect that going forward but that is definitely something that I feel like would be everything to me and I would be obsessed with moving on to number seven which is Otto from Rapunzel so yes Otto is a villain then he does some questionable things throughout this film but I just feel like he is so iconic and such a good villain that I just had to have him be this high up on the list so he has got those little like ferret pet who like oftentimes is sitting around her neck throughout the movie and he like moans and purrs throughout it and it's just like so weird and uncomfortable but I love every bit of it he also like wants to eat Hobie and comments about this numerous times throughout the film he rats out Rapunzel he is just honestly a little Menace but I love everything about him I think he is hilarious and an icon and I just couldn't not have him be this high up that's just like it would be a crime if I hadn't any lower than this so at number six we have Seraphina from The Princess and the popper which might come to like a little bit of a surprise to some of you maybe I don't know I feel like a lot of you guys know that I am Princess and the popper trash and as much as I do love Seraphina she's just never really been one of my personal favorite like Barbie movie Sidekicks but like I said I do still love her and I feel like she still deserves to be very high on this list so she is annalisa's cat and she has this sort of like prissy sort of Princess vibe to her but what I love so much about her is that she is still willing to get herself dirty if it is for annelise's sake she's able to stand up for herself against Midas which I love and she is a little bit flirty when it comes to Wolfie which I also think is just adorable overall I just love her and I feel like she does a great job at demonstrating what being a good Sidekick is all about at number five we've got shiver from The Magic of Pegasus which might be a little bit surprising to some of you I don't know I feel like shiver can be a little bit annoying at times but I am just so biased of this character that I honestly couldn't rank her any lower than this so Shivers annika's polar bear cub that she found in the snow she loves all things sparkly and shiny she's got great taste in men especially in regards to Aiden every time they interact she's always like flustered by him which I just think is adorable she does have some pretty uncanny eyelashes I will admit but I just feel like she is just such a baby and so nostalgic and I just I love her with my whole heart I was obsessed with her as a child and I'm still just obsessed with her to this day but speaking of nostalgic characters that I love at number four we have Lila from Swan Lake she was without a doubt one of my favorite Barbie movie characters as a kid and she probably forever will be I love how Sassy and stubborn this girl is and her comedicine is always on point she's also just such a strong driving force of this plot like she is the one who leads Odette to the Enchanted Forest it's her magical horn that's able to unlock the Gateway from the human world into the forest that brings Odette bear and just she becomes her like best friend throughout the movie and I just I love that for them she's also just so strong and confident and independent and doesn't shy away from danger like when she enters the human world or when she stands up to rothbart and then she of course also is the one that delivers the iconic you're braver than you think line which just gets to me every single time I love Lila with my whole heart and yeah I just had to have her be this high up at number three we have Penelope from Rapunzel and I mean just talk about Comfort character this is one that I've just always loved her voice is just so nostalgic and warm to me it just reminds me of the toy I had of her as a child and just I love everything about her I feel like she's so well-rounded I love how klutzy and clumsy she is her desire to become a mighty Dragon just makes you want that for her as well especially when you get all the backstory with the relationship she has with her father which just makes the ending of the film pay off that much more when she does become what she's been working so hard to be and then she's basically the reason why Rapunzel is able to escape in the end because she's the one who's able to fly over the barrier and then she's also just so funny like her comedic timing is gold and I just I love everything about this character and I must protect her at all costs and I will not rest until she gets the recognition that she deserves and so that is why I just had to have her at number three and so that's Penelope I love her with my whole heart and I can't stop thinking about that plush toy so I might have to go buy it again on eBay or go searching in my mom's basement for it because who knows maybe it's still around um but yeah that's Penelope let's move on to number two so at number two we have Wolfie from The Princess and the Pauper and just in case you're not familiar Wolfie is Erica's cat that barks need I say more like I feel like he 100 deserves this spot on the list but he's also just like such a great guy like he immediately protects Seraphina after just meeting her he is a great judge of character like how he growls at preminger when he first meets him but then he likes Dominic and then the fact that he tries so hard to fit into the way that he thinks he's supposed to behave in the castle for Erica which results in having one of the best bar movie songs ever made for him like and then the fact that that whole song sequence is what results in Dominic finding out that Erica can sing and then not to mention he helps save Annelise and Julian and Seraphina when they're all trapped in the mine like this guy is just perfection and I love him and I mean like am I a little bit biased because cats meow is my favorite Barbie movie song I mean sure I probably am but I don't care I still think he's amazing like he's a cat that barks need I say more I don't think I need to number two in the bag I feel like Wolfie's got it down and so yeah that's why he's number two let's move on to my number one so of course I just had to have Bibble at number one are you surprised probably not but I mean I can't deny the cultural impact that Bibble has had like he's transformed Barbie movie fan culture and like made it into mainstream media and I just like have to give him props for that but what's so great about Bibble is that he isn't just like this funny sidekick character that we all love so much growing up but he is also just like such a great friend to Alina as well he stands up for her when she's getting bullied stops the fun guy from kidnapping her in the first movie and then he also just has so many great skills that I just feel like I have to list off so first of all he's a pro at playing catcher he does not let any sort of hit get him down uh comedy genius like this guy never misses a beat oh he's an artist did you see the Rock Family he created in Mariposa it is gorgeous and I love everything about it he's got a sick beat have you seen him play that turtle shell in the second movie it's pretty iconic um got some great pipes I mean with the help of some magic berries but still I feel like that singing scene is just so so good he laughs in the face of danger at least in the first movie they do kind of make him a little bit more cowardly in the following movies they're like oh he's a little puffball let's make him more squeamish where I was kind of like no that's one of the main things that I love so much about Bibble in the first movie is that he is not afraid of anything and he will do whatever is needed to be done to help protect Alina which yeah I feel like Bibble is definitely at his Prime in the first movie but nonetheless we still get some great content from in the other movies as well have you seen him in his little sleep hat it is absolutely adorable it reminds me of the little plush toy I had of him as a kid that I love with my whole heart and I wish I still had um his happiness is contagious is he's a smart boy he conducts this whole plan to catch the Tooth Fairy which is adorable yeah I think that's all I wrote down but yeah Bibble is amazing and we stand and I love him with my whole heart and that's why he just had to be number one on this list all right so that is my ranking of every single into this video not expecting to have Bibble at number one like I was open-minded in the fact that like another character could be better than him but then once I realized that like Bibble was able to transcend Barbie movies there really wasn't any other character that I could compare to him like he is on a whole other level and while I do love him and I did just like rant about how great he was I do still feel like my personal favorite would have to be Wolfie he just has like such a special place in my heart and I love him so very much um but that's just the thing about Barbie movie sidekick characters like they are just so lovable and comforting especially the ones from the earlier Barbie movies who really are just like full-fledged characters like something I feel like got lost along the way with the sidekicks that I feel like they just aren't as good as the one ones in the earlier movies but that's not to say that they don't still hold a special place in the hearts of the kids
