It is fascinating to work with all these different bird of prey. These are beautiful animals with whom just a few people have contact to. And this is just an amazing and fascinating thing for me. But also the breeding is so fascinating when you have a couple of eagles who lay eggs after a few years and they hatch and you see these young birds growing. This is something which goes straight to your heart. You two? A little more? The most beautiful thing is when you trained the eagles and you go fliying with them. But well, as a falconer you stay on the ground unfortunately. You have to train this step by step and bring the falcon to his first flight. In the first time the bird is just walking so you show him everything and his environment you train him and all this is a preparation for his first flight. Everytime I see a Milan at the sky I think: Well, maybe this is the guy I helped before. I can not imagine working in a different job than this. If you had the chance to work with these animals once and this in full-time for a living then you can just very hardly imagine working as something different. And when the eagle comes back to your hand this is such a beautiful feeling. That you did everything right and the eagle trusts you.
