Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Does anyone know what the two extra inner tracks on the bridges are for?
Holy crap, that is so cool! I really want to build on as well now. So many questions:
1) that track has no rail traffic on it at all anymore, right? Seems scary to try to get the speeder off the track fast!
2) How far up does it go? did you hit a point you couldn't go anymore due to rockfalls, etc?
3) I presume legality is at least questionable, but likely no reason to really enforce it?
That thing moves! I hike that track frequently and Iβve actually seen this cart before on it! I had stopped for a snack near the first trestle off to the side and heard ya coming. Looks like fun!
edit: removed super secret hiking stuff
Cool, is this thing home made? I want to build one!
Very nice! Be safe!
I don't know if I'd call it a "speeder", per se...
some old drum breaks, one disc break, a lawn mower engine and come seats. I think this could be a fun home build. Throw on some electronics to keep the beer cold in the cooler and go out for a rip
Seems like renting these machines out or bicycle powered ones would be a feasible tourist activity. Good use of these tracks that canβt carry trains anymore.
