[Music] welcome to denver it's great to see all of you we have a beautiful setting it's a great day and a great week for major league baseball and for the country kevin why don't you give us your starting lineup for the american league well starting with shohei uh d.h vladimir guerrero first baseman for the blue jays xander bogart shortstop for the red sox aaron judge right fielder for the new york yankees rafael devers third baseman for the boston bridge i actually just saw the lineup a couple while ago uh thank you cash you know on that move i appreciate it hopefully i do good and uh help the team out i mean it's just like any baseball game you know you'll be nervous in the beginning and then as the game goes on you know you'll you'll get calmed down and then you'll be ready it's just such an exciting exciting moment for me especially because the the fans voted me to be here and not only that i'm surrounded by superstars so it makes me feel really good to be around them it's fun being here i mean this is awesome to be around all these guys and you know it's it's an experience not just for you but for your family they get just as excited as you do for all the little things so it's cool i mean for me i think this is like really my first opportunity to have the have the chance you know to be an all-star excellent i really have this opportunity it means a lot and be able to represent the red sox and just be able to be out here with all the other stars i mean it's super exciting you know there's always goals when you get into pro bowl that you want to accomplish you want to play a long time going to win world series and obviously being an all-star was one of them you know just super fortunate to to be out here surrounded by a number of incredible players throughout the league and just trying to soak it all in we are well represented this year and rightfully so uh you know we're in first place we have one of the best records in baseball and the team's been playing great and these guys have been you know having great years but eva and i are kind of trying to figure it out together as first timer so we're we're kind of pushing back and forth and texting trying to figure out where we're supposed to be and what we're supposed to be doing we're going over there to sign how do we sign we're looking forward to it oh awesome thank you so much thank you yeah oh man i mean this this this is such a historic franchise with with a number of players not only the hall of fame and champions but for guys who have been to countless all-star games and always represented here point is this a bit ironic you're teaching him how to catch and you were a d8 you're talking about diving i was like i don't remember seeing you yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah he has me you ever done what i like i wasn't on my car no no no no it's been a crazy week um and like i said i'm just trying to soak it all in trying to enjoy it as much as possible and and just super excited see you [Music] [Music] wow [Music] [Applause] see hard to see it's no easy right now okay when they blew everything blue bro i can see i can never see that's why i guess you should peppers [Music] 5 20 21 mlb all-star games we welcome you back to denver colorado beautiful night middle of the summer and away we go the best from the al against the best from the end out rafael devers grounds one that's a fair ball judge will dig for third they will hold him there on a double that bounces over freeman for divers and if you want to add that into the regular season stats that's 26 doubles already for rafael devers who is just an extra base hit machine [Music] and that'll bring in xander bogarts and i'm hesitant to even try to zander can you hear me yeah yeah all right thank you so much for joining us alexander what are you looking for oh fastball i mean come on that's a good picture here's the 01. there's one in the left but they said that pitch was up and bogarts is on nathan ivaldi takes over [Music] white sox leading their division this should be two and is in one half how about that going the other way base hit by bogarts taking around third and scoring his mullins and it's two runs here in the fifth inning and a four to nothing american league lead here in the eighth inning as national league now takes on the right-hander matt barnes who's closing games for the first place red sox and just turned those numbers into a nice little two-year extension this past week yeah he sure did comes right after the hitters with a good overhand breaking ball [Music] [Applause] is [Music] [Applause] 19 steals on the year he can fly ground ball should end it to the right side field has got it and the american league has won their eighth straight as they win it here tonight [Music] you
