[Music] so [Music] the final round of the 2021 gt4 european series is going to take place very soon indeed here at the circuit to barcelona catalonia we had a cracking race yesterday and it's a season that has kicked off in april at monza two races there two races that poor recording made two at sanfort in june july went to the mighty spa franco shot last time out the start of september of the nurburgring we had a brilliant race yesterday but look we've got a bit of winds maybe changing weather conditions the race is going to be an hour long starting at half past the hour so just 12 minutes from now and the grid is starting to form it takes a while to form because there are so many cars we had 43 fantastic field of cars coming here two unfortunately uh didn't make it through to the first race yesterday they got a little bit battered in qualifying but a 41 car field almost stretching off the start finish rate and it's testament to the growth of this championship in recent years not so long ago 16 cars 20 cars with the field and it's grown like topsy it makes the highs higher and the lows lower of course we've got the three classes of racing three races together if you want we've got the silver class for silver silver driver lineups you have two drivers per car then you've got the pro ams and the ams all having their separate races but melded together and in fact we've got two prime runners at the very front of the grid and car 69 coming to the grid already champions in the am class michelle blanchener and christoph hammer and they had a really feisty race yesterday uh taking it to the big guns in the silver class in the early laps of the race ended up in 12th place overall winning their class victory in the prime class yesterday went to the 42 santa lot racing audi that was second to the finish line in a really good run but uh the car that took victory yesterday the number 22 allied racing porsche joel sturman bastian boos and of course they start in the reverse order today so it's bastion who'll be taking the start he'll be starting in fourth place but let's go down and hear from the driver who'll be starting on pole his name is jim pla jim yesterday you guys started in p35 and made it up to p6 today from p1 is it gonna be easy i'm not sure it will be easy because i think greg is really quick with the howdy so yeah the main goal is to is to take the lead and to keep it and try to to make a gap if it's possible the pace yesterday was really good as you said we from p45 we finished p6 overall in p2 in class so it was a good one yeah today we we can fight for the second place in the championship so we have to finish in front for sure for us so yeah we will do my best and we will see where we are and try and keep a clean race for everybody behind you man exactly thank you well they say that it's not easy to overtake but 35th yesterday uh through to the front end of the field was a remarkable testament to keeping it clean keeping it tidy keeping out of trouble and he very much is the pro in that car sharing with jean-luc bob leake and likewise gregory gilbert sharing with fabian michelle fabian started yesterday but the pro in the lineup gregory or greg as he's called by uh jim platt on pole position will start alongside there the drivers have the clear view down to the first corner you can't see the first corner when they look ahead because the track just dips uh before it goes down into that first turn that feeds directly into the second turn but look how closely packed these cars on the grid 41 cars coming out to play and just to reiterate you've got the silver club cup runners you've got the pro ams and the ants and this was the car that won yesterday joel sturm kicked off plastic boost back to the championship and the danish driver took it to the finish he's kicking off today and let's go down to the driver alongside car number third 14 third on the grid it's clement saylor his teammate roy may who has starts clement we're down here on the second row it's a huge grid behind you coming into that first corner what are you guys looking for now we just looking for following the train i think the two firsts are very quick so for the moment um we are just playing the second part of the race we'll see after because yesterday was a very good race for us we were very quick but the final result is not there so uh today we are looking for p1 have a great race thank you very much thank you very much the drive through penalties scuppered their chances yesterday but uh both clermont and his teammate the israeli racer roy may who has super super quick in their santa knot racing audi and let's see what they can deliver from third on the grid and aston martin near the front end of the grid that's down on row number three and tom canning will start that before handing over to reuben del aston martin car 55 from mirage racing very good indeed in that red white and blue livery but uh the pros in pro am lineups tend to be starting but uh the 55 car is a silver silver lineup so there should be no drop off in performance when tom canning hands over to ruben delsar and again this fantastic mixture of cars we've got mercedes naudi on the front row audi and porsche on the second row there's chevrolet camaro one of those in the field starting fifth and an aston martin well talking of the um chevrolet let's go down car number 17 on the inside of row number three is your opponent yep yesterday's race was eventful let's say yeah very easy um after lap lap 6 we were spun around so we were at the 22nd timer put it back very very good and fifth place third in class so we're really happy because it's close for the third spot in the championship uh so valuable points um starting fifth uh so we could get valuable points uh for the championship i hope to get it right this time and let's hope for the best figures girls thank you very much have a good race thank you always good to see the bright metallic blue cars the big v8 engine cars that uh v8 racing the name fits what they do up at the front end of the group the number two cd sport mercedes jean-luc chevalier hugo will be starting that well within the top 10 in fact in seventh place on the grid really like delivery on that car that looks very fine indeed so a lot of young guns at the front end of the field the 2-2-2 gail castellis alpine he'll be kicking that off and this is a car that generally races in the french series but it was a too good an opportunity to miss so uh guest entries come down here and rudolf volgren will be taking the second leg of this one-hour race the driver pit stop has to the driver change happens at the pit stop that's between 25 minutes into this one hour and 35 minutes go too soon you get penalized and likewise if you miss the pit window closing you will also have a problem ags events have been very faithful to aston martin in recent years and constantin lachen hour will kick off before handing over to cesar gazzo and yesterday paul cesar was moved off the track went running in i think about fifth position at the time might have even been fourth but ended up in the gravel and their chances were scuppered the car we're looking at now the number 30 cmr alpine was leading the race lawrence cabarrus suddenly peeled in just when the safety car withdrew we thought had he made a mistake but unfortunately from the lead of the race he had to report to the pits they checked the car over drove it back to the paddock unfortunately the turbo are no longer performing but but in terms of pace that was looking very comfortable with lobris cavabrew leading the race but alas they came away with nothing yesterday huge huge grid of cars 41 cars we could have had two more as i said but we're not complaining and it's very very tight three races bound together the silver cup class the prime class and the am class all racing together we'll try and keep on top of the points as they go through this one hour the final one hour of racing for the gt4 european series for 2021 the stage ladies and gentlemen is set so the akka asp mercedes jim pla this is not the flying lap this is the formation lab around the grid we'll hope he'll be first into turn one at the first true time of ski so let's look at the grid it's jim player and gregory gilbert both pro am driver lineups at the very front of the grid roya meiju house and bastian boos so audi and porsche on the second row third row chevrolet time in nebus and tom canning and the best of the aston martin's fifth and sixth for them hugo chevalier young star for cd sport and his mercedes will start seventh and gail castelli mirage racing alpine alongside and constantine lakenhour ags events aston martin valsambell suarez another of the alpines [Music] racing team mercedes i think that could be a mover from 12th on the grid piakuhoi and benjamin larice forming row number seven and then uh porsche from max bosnelli and antoine leclerc arcadia racing alpine row number eight charlie bagg and dean mcdonald and all mclaren all united auto sports ninth row they've been sort of out of sorts but already the overall title has gone to charlie fagg and bailey browser for united order sports bec i better look out for him he should be making charge and the local teams haven't fared so well javier governors nm racing team down in 22nd position and they came here third on overall position in the silver cup class so they've got a mountain to climb mikhail blanchard he'll be starting before handing over to his fellow champion teammate they've won the am class already and the only driver who is running on his own he's not going to change at the pit stop is is a fessel down for santa look racing on 28th grid position but that's far from the back of the grid because we go down to position number 41. jamie de oro was in the wars yesterday and quite a few drivers you've not one little slip up and you can lose a whole handful of places okay the racing's at second alpene in the hands of tomorrow martinez alongside celeste racing team the second of their mercedes jacob knoll and then pascal keyboard and eric hair again more french teams huge friendship interest in gt4 racing timothy beret and max massimiliano trisoldi the wd racing team very distinctive bmw really getting down towards the tail end of the grid then vanity geese henrik lingby peterson forming row number 20. yes we can go beyond that because we got rafa villanueva in the second of the spanish entered nm racing team mercedes at the back of the grid he's in a prime lineup look for that car to work its way forward it's had a run of bad luck so far throughout the course of this weekend but this is the last chance to put it right for 2021 with a fantastic season the growth of the championship continues hand over fists who's going to have the final bragging rights who's going to take the momentum in the closed season who is going to win this the final round let's see one hour of racing lies ahead the front row jim player on the pit wall side greg gilbert alongside so mercedes inside audi outside another audi on the second row that's in the hands of roy mae who has said bastian boos in the car that won yesterday the black porsche from number 22 from allied racing so one car two car let's keep counting up to 41 cars coming to the start finished rates the drivers looking up the lights on the starting gantry they won't be flick to green until the last of the grid can be seen now they go to green it looks very very even indeed as they wait to take the start and the first few rows side by side a little bit of a challenge from about seventh on the grid i think that'd be hugo chevalier may be making a move down to the first corner jim clark seems to have it covered off greg leaving his breaking very late very twitchy in the blue white santa lot racing audi but a possible place changed third place now in the hands of bastion boos who started from fourth he got ahead made a good move over roy may who has sander also going around the outside uh time in the bus in the blue v8 racing camaros a nice neat tidy run through the first quarter of the race such a tricky complex of corners but they've got it right and up front it's pla from gilbert third place and being challenged at the moment for third place massive boost by taiwan nebu porsche being challenged by chevrolet are we going to get any moves down oh looks there's a bit of a challenge up the inside the great bright green metallic nose of the 34 maximum souly driven mercedes making up places you'll see it in about 10th place started i think in 12th there it is carnival 34. he's already picked off hugo chevalier and hugo started about five positions ahead of him so my prediction about maxim sulei showing his fight from the outset not wasted looking down the middle of the pack to see the mclarens that's something you didn't say at the start of the season but united auto sports they've come here they did what they needed to do they took the title in the silver cup class they had a huge points advantage coming in and just about managed it through yesterday's race down to turn 10 a few people still trying that inside passing maneuver but at the front of the race jim platt not being challenged he's got a clear of greg gregory gilbert who is now coming under pressure second third fourth fifth all nose to tail but jim clark making good his escape he's gonna build up as much of an advantage as he can before handing over as late as he possibly can to his teammate the and part of that lineup is a long time teammates uh jean-luc boboli could be willing jim on willing jim to drop the challenge from behind which he's doing very much we've got a spinner unfortunately ah there for one two six starting stone last on the grid unfortunately the bonnet is up uh for rafa villanueva that's gonna well if he gets back to pits like that he's doing it by muscle memory rather than fission so at the end of the first lap it was jim platt from greg gilbert from bastian boos and taiman naboor bravo may who has went from third back to fifth not too much of a drop tom cannon stayed level in sick down van some feldspars moved forward three positions from 10th to 7th but look how jim player is eking out an advantage corner by corner the second place battle is still tight indeed but uh just sensing the chevrolet is dropping off the tail a little bit in fourth place yes he's now fallen back onto the nose of rory mayhew who was faster in qualifying and may yet get that yellow audi up ahead of the v8 racing camaro and in behind tom canning in the aston martin car number 55-2 through turn five they go he's got company from behind van some belts was in the number 30 alpine that was so quick in the first half of yesterday's race still looking for movers and shakers maximum suede by the way got up to eighth place on that opening lap having started down in i think it was 12th place so he was a very strong indeed field going through turn seven eight out of turn nine fabulous corner over the crest the hill down to turn they come and turn 10 this year has been refined it's not as angular as it was before generally rather easier but still a possibility for overtaking a maxim sue they appears have left the door open and constantine lakin are in the aston martin said thank you very much indeed did the move get completed no it didn't because uh it got reversed again and so quick and slow out unfortunately for constant lack there so he's number 27 acid martin in behind and for the 126 nm racing team mercedes that could well be race over and out having in the bonnet slam up against the windscreen presumably front end damage push that bonnet up but anyway always a scary scary moment for a driver when that happens [Music] so two laps in just looking for the interval one put nearly 1.4 seconds the margin between jim player and gregoire gregory gilbert bastian boos had got close to second place just a little bit further back and then we're starting to get the groups with the gaps opening between them t time in the boss still ahead of rory may has tom canning still in sick van some belts was still seventh maxime suited he's still lachen hour still ninth and up to tenth past girl costelli goes benjamin larice that is the top ten but if you want to go through the class the pro am class is being led by jim player in the lead of the race second place greg gilbert who's second on the circuit third runner in prime is maximum souly down in eighth place overall so by dinner those top two cars being pro am runners the leader in the silver cup class is the driver third in the field the car that won yesterday it's bastion boost in the 22 allied racing porsche and the lead car in the am class is anthony johnson and he's in that number 33 svc sport management toyota he's down in 22nd position overall but he's only just got a half a second advantage in the amp class over the number seven street art racing aston martin that's the lime green car with uh paul taskins at the wheel at the [Music] i moment i might have to keep an eye on benjen the reach team speed car number four he's the one who just moved up into tenth place but he's just a whacked in the fastest opening center of lap of anybody so look out for number four making the moves it's the audi largely pink on the flanks now here's the am battle 33 anthony johnson just in front of paul tasgen's in the number seven aston martin just at the tail of that grouping just a few places behind the number 32 mclaren that's dean mcdonald orange and blue [Music] there is the amp leader anthony johnson right just as you can see just half a second behind but let's that in fact giving him a bit of a push down into the chicano seven on the door that wasn't a secret agent that was a fairly late move a little tap up the rear wasn't a move to pass it was a move trying to stay close but the breaking was left a little late and that's brought an advantage for johnson he's able to make his break at the moment third runner in the am class is uh already champion it's michelle blosh man he's dropping back a little bit he's down to 27th overall whereas the class battle is in 22nd and 23rd oh good tale absolutely out constantine nakamura has been very very busy and he's got past maxim sulei and veroni put it off that was a real tail out moment for him battle for fourth place still rages between time and the boar in the number 17 v8 racing camaro but he's got company whereas the first three cars are all spacing out rory mayhew has still pushing hard in fifth place tom canning holding a watching brief and phantom velcro is not too far behind in the best of the alpines in seventh place overall already some of the runners being warned about exceeding track limits timothy beret he's been exceeding track limits at the final corner that was such a twist what a move for conflict in mackinaw looking at that replay but uh ray gs events they'll be rather pleased of him but the car in behind the white and pink very slightly blue audi now on the tail of maxime sulei that's benjamin larice he's the one that was setting some very good sector ties but now he's on their tail his pace will probably drop away a little bit but clearly if the cork come out of that bottle he could pick up more places the aston martin so it's a fantastic array of cars we've got mercedes leading from audi from porsche from chevrolet another audi aston martin alpine six makes a car in the top seven positions so it really does what the doctor ordered this gt4 championship pace starting to pick up we had very early at the end of the second racing lap jim plarr in the race lead was 1.38 seconds clear went out to 1.4 it's now that back down to 1.1 seconds gregory gilbert number 42 is getting second breath it looked as though he was going to have to defend his tail as bastion boost got onto that in his allied racing porsche but the pressure is off from behind because the allied porsche is dropping back so we've got these two pro-am runners first and second and gregory gilbert now starting to close on jim pla the race is on it's an hour long these drivers won't do the full hour they can come in after just 25 minutes or they can run almost to 35 minutes then the pit window will close that's still somewhere ahead but i'm really sensing that the driver that's already got the prime championship in the bag gregory gilbert is going to close onto the tail of jim plar and then in many ways it's a question of which of their teammates is the stronger will it be jean-luc bobolique who take over from jim clark in the race leading mercedes or will it be fabian michal who's formed such a strong powering over the last few years with gregory gilbert but they're both giving their co-drivers the best opportunity possible every second they can gain on the field the field sort of stretches out somewhat will be received with open arms and again in the first sector of this three sector lap the car in second place closes a little closer to the race leader battling behind is fairly even but i'm just looking for that number for audi just pulling out behind the maximum soul is green nosed mercedes taking a look but maxim sudai wasn't born yesterday he's not going to leave any doors open if he can possibly help it [Music] of course most of maxim's racing in recent years has been in gt3 cars racing gt4 much like jim flower he's got to chop and change and get used to it and uh well we've actually just had a change of position because gail costelli in the 2-2-2 palpine entered by mirage racing has managed to get back ahead he's clawed back a position from benjamin larice so uh as you were gentleman larise back to 11th and gal costelli up to 10th place first part of the lap it was advantage to the chasing gregory gilbert but the second half of that went back to jim clark so his advantage in the race lead up to nearly 1.4 seconds all over again there's castelli 222 now back into that tenth place ahead of the number four audi from team speed car with benjamin davish at the wheel and actually i i was just wondering if the number four out he had gone backwards because a mistake had been made but i think looking at the way that costelli is driving he's just uh really finding his form now the tires are coming good i like my sense he's going to get that little red white blue alpine the one with two two two on the door and the bonnet closer and closer to maxime soulet in the green nose still as larry sing the mercedes great delivery i really do like that metallic green look a bit better with sun on it just before the start of the race the sun did try and come out but now it's clouding over all over again here at the circuit to barcelona catalonia [Music] another driver just makes is the lap in which the alpines make their steps forward so gail costelli went up from 11th to 10th and likewise antoine leclerc in the number 36 arcadia racing alpine went past max bosnelli's porsche from 17th to 16th small gains but gains all the same if you drive is starting to be noted for exceeding track limits there's nothing rare in that it's the modern curse and it's in the number 79 ags events aston martin that's being watched now by the race officials jim platt will be watched as well but he's keeping it on the black stuff as much as he possibly can his advantage end of the last act was 1.372 seconds i suggest this lap look so it's gone his way maybe out to over one and a half seconds so he's responded to the pressure from behind let's see what the gap is waiting did for 1.7 seconds good four tenths of a second gained by our race leader so maybe he was just uh taking the heat off his tires for a little bit after that opening couple of laps in which he opened out a margin of 1.3 nearly 1.4 seconds bastion boost looked really good on early on he's running the lead car in the silver cup class in third place overall so he could still as he did yesterday go on to collect the 25 points for victory he won't win this race out right as he did yesterday certainly if he stays the order stays as it is but he will still take the maximum stash from the silver cup class at the moment the race lead and the maximum number of points the 25 points for victory will go to jim clark but we're getting ahead of ourselves it's a one-hour race and we've still got uh just over forty three quarters of an hour remaining and of course all the drivers have to hand over to their teammates lead car in ab is still 22nd 23rd 22nd position now anthony trodson who's uh put on a great show he'll hand over to his father certainly anthony is the quicker of those but he's doing what he can to build up at an advantage in terms of track position he's got a four place advantage over michelle blosham and the battle he was having earlier has uh fallen away because he was being challenged quite hard and ugoch is and the challenging car behind has it dropped away so a little bit of time bought there by anthony johnson and the cars that went into the pits for repairs have not emerged so hugo chevalier in the pits uh one two six one had the bonnet up against the twin screen raffle uh building waiver in the pits and pascal keyboard likewise in the pit flame but that came in a lap later i don't know what the problem is for the number 53 wd racing team mercedes but it doesn't appear to be going any further first second and third well clear the real racing is down just outside the top 10 at the moment looking at the number 23. mclaren from united auto sports that is the car shared by charlie who's at the wheel at the moment he's picked his way forward a little by little he's got plenty of company behind edward julie tucked in behind in his mercedes antoine leclair he's the driver who's starting to make the moves the big a the alpine a on the door and coming down the start finished right look out for little how people see it any second now pulling out it's using the slipstream he's gonna have to go to the outside julie's not opening the door for him to go up the inside into turn one not close enough to make a move kicking up the dirt a little bit and in behind car number seven eighteen that's max bus nelly he's staying in the fight but i really quite fancy this little alpine car 36 that's been making the moves antoine look clear how much higher will he go we've got another pit visitor it's one of the satellite racing audis and that's clearly before the pick windows open it's uh car number 25 olivia estevez and uh also we've got one of the borussian automotive bmws in the pits as well so sudden flurry of things that shouldn't be in the pits down there sitting there that is a bad news it's jagis dead genic in the pits and estevez you can see there's no great hurry to get that car fixed because it looks presumably what the driver is telling him is it overheated in fact driver getting out and the body language unfortunately is that will be parked it's a shame because the boris and automotive bmws always go very very well indeed ah the jag is getting it's over and out right now now are we about to have a place change and suddenly that the mojo is back for the number four audi benjamin larice going parts maximum soul he's passed a short while ago by gail costelli constantine lachenau is just in front of him so costelli's on lachenau's tail and likewise having just been passed maximum sula is now trying to hang onto the tail of the number four out here benjamin the reef so plenty of changing looks the two two two alpine was getting very very close diving down into the circade can't see these bunk cars they obviously managed to not have contact oh now talking of contact suddenly a bit of a shove on charlie back he has to cut the second part of the chicane there because edward julie got very very close indeed behind him now here's a replay of things going very wrong unfortunately no into the tires car number nine that's valentin kisi and i think we may have a full course yellow coming soon it's still the green strip under the timing bar so no delays as yet but with the number nine audi going into the thai wall there and apparently after he told he got going again so the thai wall did what it needed to do absorb the energy of the car it was a very low speed moment but uh that that's good so race continues going green max kuznelli trying to fight back in the 718 porsche these cars do look good as the drivers really get accustomed to them and make the cars hop around on their pirelli tires and they can really load them now you can see the tire developments be very very strong to the gt4 championship through the course the past few years the cards just look much more nimble than they were another pit visitor unfortunately oh it's vanity geese making it to the pit lane in fact the front end damage of the car is almost non-existent as i look at it go beneath my commentary position but again pick window not yet quite open but that is the car looking for repairs and a little love jim well he needs a lot of love he's nearly three seconds clear he's sort of weathered the storm the attack from gregory gilbert the first and second in pro-am first and second on the road the bastion boost about a one and a half seconds down on gilbert i sense now starting to find a bit of form and starting to close in a little bit on gregory gilbert maybe gilbert's just dropping away from the pace no he and the race leader jim clark lapped at almost identical pace last time around bailey was out down in 14th position edward julie all over his tail in that uh number 74 mercedes entered by cd sport floor decrement spore x-racing driver try inside try outside but it's very hard to find a way past and the alpine tucked in behind antoine leclair reckons if there's a little slit from any of these he may get a move he's got a double toe down the start straight max posnelli can't quite get close enough to make it a three-card sober you can see as he goes down the street he is getting something he's starting to catch we have a four-car train coming down with the mclaren leading in 14th place down the hill and max bus nelly he's on the outside line of the alpine is gonna be able to make a move but he's making antoine leclair think but he's not comfortable just sitting there and leclaire made a bit of a mistake in turn two and that has put bus nelly to the outside he suddenly was presented with uh rather less track that he wanted to aim for than he'd been hoping for but with the alpine moving across his path he had to put those wheels onto the dirt kick up the dust but didn't get displaced but it has just slightly fractured that four-way battle [Music] belly boizan looks looks on for the pits and charlie farah he'll be looking at the screen thinking i might be taking this car over soon but charlie frank is being very uh strong in defense so dear maxime soulet off the track has he got a puncher i'm quite see if that front left corner is down but yeah looking it does appear to be down so unfortunately maybe running a little bit wide may have been contact and he certainly was in the balls i actually think the way he was overtaking it recently he may have had a very slightly slow puncture to start with it's not like maximum soul to give positions away but that is limping in the number 34 sellers racing team mercedes big shame after that that great grouping that was ahead of the cars we're looking at now because uh charlie will move up from 14th to 13th probably see that on his positional number on the windscreen yes 0-1-3 on the windscreen 30 on the track jim clark last time the round was 3.3 seconds to good so it's going out it's now three point eight seconds and his lap was six tenths of a second faster than gregory gilbert did gilbert push his hearts to the tires too soon that's not very gilbert esque you're a customer to be on top of the time management game two wheels on the ground constantine just is having a very very spectacular race i was concerned there the number 27 aston martin had become a little too uh dramatic but he managed to keep it going in a straight line down the start finish straight and he's still resisting gail costelli but it's looking uh very very busy indeed made that place change by the smallest of margins ex used to slip stream down the start for this straight and move the head just under five minutes until the pit window will open i'll race leader 3.8 nearly 3.9 seconds a good jim clark ahead of gregory gilbert if you look at the strip down the left-hand side of the screen they've got to a black background that means they're in the pro-am class the next the cars in pro-am is gail costelli down in eighth place he's third in class and pierce having a quiet but effective race in the number five team speed car audi is fourth in pro-am top runner in am top of the screen there the red background it's anthony johnson carnival 33. mitchell blosham falling back onto the nose of benjamin ritchie so they are second and third in the outclass and uh five of the 41 starters have dropped out of this race vanity gizi car number 11 is also out this is uh yagi's uh pascal gibbon chevalier and rafa villanueva 36 cars continuing continuing to fight and gail castelli getting ahead he's been patient he's found the outside alapago he was the head of constantin lakinawa costs constantin took the position in the aston martins they went down the start finished straight and then half of that later has had to seed and he's got to watch out because uh suddenly number four benjamin laurie is looking interested they go out and turn 16. benjamin will have the toe in the blue white and pink audi predominantly pink from team speed car and as they come down is he close enough to make a challenge into the first corner i think he is is gail costelli pulling away yeah just by a smallish smallish margin in the little mirage sorry the little alpy from mirage it's been a little bit up and down for benjamin larice but his audi he made one mistake and lost the places he gained early on had a great battle with costelli but now he's aiming at constantin lachen hour here we go castelli from lacanawa and you can see how the gap between them has gone up and down castelli just starting to escape a little bit in that grouping back an hour finding his aston martin washing away a little bit and the position has changed between turn four and five but break too late into turn five and you can't turn in so the aston martin goes back all over again good fun racing good clean racing [Music] and while they're scrapping over tenths of a second our race leader jim clark continues on his way anthony johnson's car is in the pit lane and that's not good because the pit window isn't isn't open as yet it should be they should be coming in after 35 minutes this is the car that was leading the race after sorry 25 minutes which would mean we have 35 minutes left on the screen pit window not open so interesting a moment there and please report the green santa lot racing out he returned to the race it's running around towards the table of the field and likewise maxime souley's had that uh puncture got a new tire and come back out but jim plant nobody's in the picture now as he sweeps down over the start finish line suddenly the battle is for second place down the start finished straight gregory gilbert has suddenly got bastion boost right on his tail the race leader is uh just waiting for the timing to put 5.4 seconds to the good there's hopping and skipping down at the chicane but here is the battle for second place bastian boos has seen the inside he likes the inside and he's going for the inside and he's made it stick and gregory gilbert his his performance has just fallen away i don't know what's gone awry in that blue and white santa lot racing audi but it's now the second car in the pro-am class that's the blue and white audi and down in third place on the road there is the race leader just going out of shot into turn four as the rivals come through boos this time ahead of gilbert out of three along the run to turn four here they are turning right through turn four it goes on and on it rises very slightly from entry to exit runs along on the flat and then as it gets to turn five the track drops away again and as they swing through the long left-handed going downhill they'll see the back of the panic ahead of them as they get to the bottom of the hill turn six they kick to the left dead ahead of them is the paddock behind the pit lane here at the circuit to barcelona catalonia they don't get to see it because they're trying to work out how to get through turns seven and eight so worth pointing out with the svc management toyota in the pits the lee out of the lead in the am class michel blosh man already got the title in his pocket is leading the class now and he's down in 25th position just a second or so ahead of benjamin ritchie so uh the audi from team full motor sports very gory very bright sort of acid yellow and blue livery that is leading the class but not by a large margin leading the race and definitely by a large margin is this man jim clark cart number 87 he is likely to stay out as long as he can the pit window just opened three seconds ago but he's not one for coming in early he's got an advantage last time around 5.479 has had that battle for second place and uh well it's it's not only just changed on the last lap down at turn one but the advantage that bastian boos has gained over gregory gilbert's probably a full second 1.3 seconds he not only passed it but stretch that in one lap that's a remarkable charge but he's got to find six seconds to catch jim plot he won't and one of the audi's diving it looks like the number five car so that should be just outside the top tent and dives into pit lane with most of the field continuing because a lot of the cars particularly the prime lineups uh the the pro is starting first they will go on as long as they can it means if you pit early in race two of a gt4 european series round you do have the pit lane fairly empty so it does make the pit stop much much easier pit stops all nicely controlled you you can go under a minimum time but you'll pick up a penalty but they uh allow a generous amount of time for the driver change to be made and just worth pointing out of course one of the runners gregory faisal the number 21 satellite racing audi is doing this race on his own so he doesn't have to get out but he cannot leave the pits before a minimum pit stop time so pit window open jim clark continues on his way he was 6.1 seconds to good the johnson car having had repairs has gone back out and now he's coming in with the pit window open and anthony will hand that over presumably to pietro but he's down in 36th position and whatever the problem was was a shade because it had been leading the am class [Music] something a sort of rare shot looking down the straight from up from turn 10 to turn nine the track almost empty because the cars now a number of them in the pits i'd say 10 of the cars are in the pits still 30 cars out on the track also at the 87 matt mutt sponsored asp mercedes continues continues and does what it does best stretching its advantage 6.1 seconds to the good last time around and we know that bastion boost has now got past gregory gilbert into second place just looking to see what the margin is between the 6.1 seconds between platt and boos becomes 6.1 seconds slight gain for the porsche racer this is the 22 car that won yesterday's race gregory gilbert has fallen 2.2 seconds away from boost now and timon the ball is a similar margin behind we haven't really seen too much of the v8 racing camaro has had a quiet race once he got into fourth place and uh pounding out the laps but it really is a case of gilbert falling away from the pace nine tenths of a second slower than the race leader last time around and a number of cars coming back out onto the track with their pit stop having been completed but there's still another seven minutes until pit window closes jim clark will use every single one of those laps that he could possibly squeeze in before handing over seeding the lead to his teammate jean-luc boba leak a bit of traffic up ahead which he hasn't had to contend with when you suddenly get this scramble of cars out of the pits i think that was the number five audi from team full motorsport the 63. alpene at a stop that's one of the two arcadia racing cars there's thomas martinez and he's handing over to pier figure it's the car that nobody races in the french series this year's silver cup champion bailey watches on and charlie has moved up into 10th place overall but he'll be coming in for a pit stop soon but uh with a couple of others coming from the 10th actually has just become ninth wisconsin lachen hours brought 27 aston martin into the pits he changed around by ags events [Music] again such a great corner turn nine at the top of your shots there in fact two mclarens in the shot one in ninth place being challenged for ninth place into turn ten just a few places further back up the hill dean mcdonald in the second of the united auto sport cars 23 is the one in ninth and 32 is the one that my mass makes it into 13th position [Music] uncertainty antoine leclair looking very busy indeed in the number 36 albeit but uh getting no change at all from charlie fagg is that now starting to be troubled he's pushed by uh in the 718 the century porter ticino 718 cayman right out of second place bastian bruce into the pits to hand over the allied racing porsche number 22 to his teammate are they a winning duo yesterday can they do it again today joel sturm coming in to take over so dane gets out and the german driver gets on board and as you can see timer plenty for the driver change to be affected time pressure's being checked around the car meanwhile jim clark pounds on round he's still got time he's uh sort of five minutes before the pit window will close i have to do the mask but i think that gives him two more laps just trying to work out where he is on this lap he's in the second of the three timing sectors but his margin over gregory gilbert 9.5 seconds time in the boy he's only 1.7 seconds further back from gilbert but he's got a whole stream of cars that have already made a pit stop obstructing him this is the time you might as well dive into the bits you should be quicker than the cars ahead of him but they're ahead of him by being behind him if you know what i mean they're a lap down having served their pit stops he too will have to serve his pit stop should do it at the end of this lap because a he could squeak out maybe one maybe two more laps before the pit window closes but why why would you do that when you're losing laps that time at the moment behind cars who've made their pit stop let's take a look at the race vision pad by aws figures the overall top speed max thomas hodier in his audi from team speaker well they've got good lap times too head of burkai bessler who's hot from uh gt3 qualifying in back to gt4 and his bmw 2-5-7 against 2-5-8 and again mclaren in third place also on 257 kph through the speed trap time in the boar has done as i suggested he ought to do and he's brought that v8 racing camaro to hand over to europanga he got blocked by the the cars that have served their pit stops nothing untoward it's just when the traffic lantern collapsed and charlie fang the last racing lap of for him in the gt4 european series that's already landed him the silver cup title hands over to his teammate uh well will when he comes to a standstill to bailey there's camaro at the stand still in the background ruben del sark getting on board the red white blue mirage racing aston martin a couple of cars retired in the pit lane you can see no work being done for them but we know the allied racing porsche car number 22 has served its pit stop bastion boost has hopped out and uh joel storm has got on board three more minutes until the pit window will close and the vast vast majority of the race i think we've got about five six more cars that need to serve a pit stop one of them of course is our race leader in fact on the last lap i think maybe traffic got in the way of jim plah because his advantage came down by a second to gregory gilbert but for both those drivers they're they're running the championship about to be concluded because they'll hand over to their teammates who respectively are jean-luc bobolique and fabian michelle it's a bit big question to see how hard joel sturm could push he was second when he came in to serve oh his car was second when bastian bruce brought it in for his pitch stop but he's pressing on now pressing very hard indeed and maybe he can cut back some of that advantage now these cars coming out they need to try and see where they are ready to on the track and certainly bastion boosts his car hand over to general sturm's work well the the porsche snakes his way down into the first turn and time and the balls are standing over to the pang a bit of something on the track just before turn one and the aston martin in behind and a car that's sort of gaining a little bit of ground is is the uh yellow sandstone racing car but the race leader jim pla his his uh stint has come to a conclusion he's just got to park the car in front of the akka asp area and then jean-luc bob leake is going to get on board and it's going to be interesting to see what the advantage is when boba lee brings the car out of the track and turns down towards turn one who's going to be in the background are they going to be close enough to see or will he get into turn one before the best of the rest gets out because certainly that was a very very strong stint from jim platt and in behind the car that came in from the second on the track after others have made their pit stops but jen had been running second or third the satellite racing number 42 audi and it's fabian michelle who's going to be taking over from gilbert but by pitting early this could be a time for advantage to be gained by the number 22 allied racing porsche victors yesterday gerald sturm now at the wheel and for bastian boos all he can do is watch on he's done his part of the job got it up into second place on the track ahead of greg gilbert and it's up to the second half of the race in fact we've only got 26 minutes remaining in this race and for the second drivers each of these cars to show what they can do so the next time this allied racing 22 porsche comes down the start finish straight we'll see where it is relative to the other front runners will it still be in second place the 87 car should rejoin in the lead of the race we're going to watch it rumble the short distance down to the end of the pit lane and then when it crosses the white line jean-luc boba lee will accelerate but the cars coming through in behind down the start finish straight it'll be some distance behind the blue audi is coming out as well the santilla racing addy 42 will that get down release the limiter and get second place back before the first corner no it won't because uh bastion boosts his car now driven by joel sturm has gone through as well that was so that's as they were before the pit stops first second and third and in fact fourth place now yorapanga and uh pushing hard seeing what he can do it's always the moment of truth did it work running the longer first stint or not pit window has reached its course now car 25 unfortunately under investigation for that dreadful crime of speeding in the pit lane and that was the um olivia estevez cyril salai audi and it's had two runs through the pit lane it had a little visit early could be the first could be the second but uh that's a very clear rule and trans transgression does lead to punishment right jean-luc boba leake he's got 24 and a half minutes to defend the lead of the race we'll give you a clear example of his margin when he comes over the start finish line or more to the point when the little porsche comes through as well fabian michelle likewise will see where their place but certainly leading the race out of turn nine over the curbs down the hill in the background you can see second place and second place is the black porsche from allied racing for jean-luc bob leek needs to keep it clean keep it tidy and see what he can deliver and certainly plenty of mercedes experience for him asb they have scored one outright win they're pro am runners but they won outright the second of the two races at sanford that was their race of races let's see if it could be a repeat today and the number 14 audi clermont silent trying to make up a bit of ground all over the tail of yoropanga aston martin in behind them that's reuben del sar so the race order 18 laps on the board john luke bow belly crosses the start finish line 5.3 seconds ahead of joel sturm and then fabian michal in third another two and a half seconds further back yarapanga in fourth don't be confused by that aston martin that's sort of out of kill for the one with yak marine knows so it's running in position on the track but not in position on the timing screens so it's the mercedes of jean-luc boba league 5.3 seconds to good over the number 22 allied racing porsche but boba league's a prime runner the next program runner is in third place that's fabian michelle the next program runner is down in 14th place even tacoma so it's looking like a very good point tour for fabian michelle doesn't really matter too much he's already won the title for 2021 but the possible changes could be for second place and if jean-luc boboli can uh win this race he will definitely move into second place in the pram standings which will be a very good result indeed because michelle and gilbert have been the gold standard all season they've won the class so many times in fact seven times in all out of the 11 races thus far in this 12 race championship oh the gap between first and second is definitely coming down in the first sector of this three sector lap alone nine tenths of a second were gained by the chasing joel stern i expect him to be able to take the lead in this race i didn't expect joan luke boba lee to be able to hang on but he's gonna have to hang on as long as he possibly can [Music] just point out again we have three classes of card we've got this top class which is silver cut then we have proab and then we have ab and at the moment we've got primes running in first that's strong boba league and third which is fabian michelle but of course they have uh they're less highly ranked than the like of joel sturm and joel will be pushing on to pass bobolica that win this race outright clement cider we heard from him on the grid and he's pushing very hard indeed right on the tail of the blue italic blue v8 racing camaro over the start finish line they go separated by not very much at all by just under half a second number 18 aston martin that's a racing one aston martin that's running down towards the tail of the field marcus love strauss was strong in that yesterday he's going to catch a lot of the drivers ahead of him he's certainly very quick indeed but it's down in 33rd position at the moment battle for fourth place still very strong indeed clement styler looking busy in the yellow satellite racing audi all over the tail of ropanga in the chevrolet and rupert del sar not able to close on them because he's got company he's got loris caberu yesterday's a race leader on his tail so the red and white blue aston martin being tailed and pushed and pressured there they come after five the little alpe the car that had turbo problems that uh costed a possible outright win yesterday so that he was leading when it retired to the pits and yodapanga we heard from him also on the grid sounds like the hearing from the driver who's chasing him and he had problems not of his own making when his car was spun he had to do a real charge up through the order but right now the job is very clear just keep ahead of clermont sider that might be easier said than done but uh certainly going to be our entertainment to watch and if he finishes in this position this would be i think if i've done the maths right that would be his sixth fourth place finish for the v8 racing tomorrow they'd love to get on the outright podium but uh anyhow it's very entertaining to watch first to second coming down all the time it was four in a bit seconds it's down to 2.8 seconds coming down around this lap was on just coming into shot ahead of chamberlog baisi in that bright blue bmw and the reason i mentioned uh bailey was already champion but for united old sport the pressure was off here which is quite a good thing because they're not delivering at the front end of the field but they did what they needed to do to take the title but this is a great little battle this may yet come to blows we've already seen the 74 mercedes giving a little bit of a push and shove in the first part of the race but uh in the mercedes battle for a little bit of home honor even yes in the background of that grouping the number 15 mercedes and that centered by nf racing team we've already seen the sister car coming to the pits with the bonnet folded over the windscreens they've got to recover something here on home ground and using the slipstream tucks under the tail of edward julie weaves one way weaves another but it's still the 74 mercedes ahead of 15 mercedes and this is behind chen bologbazi a little 15 around the outside i didn't think that move was even on but clearly a great ambition certainly the previous lap would be very quick from ibanez and he's been a winner many many times in gt4 european series probably finds it very alien not to be in the top ten but he's working towards it that's the battle for 11th but of course he's now going to see what he can do about bailey and chamberlain bollock bars he's in 11th double checking no warnings at the bottom of the timing screen where you could be looking at the battle not noticing that one's got a 10 second penalty or some other punishment hanging over them not suggesting any of these have but uh certainly that can affect what you're seeing now our race leader jean-luc boberly would like some clear track he's not getting clear track but in fact he was losing i think joel storm has now got past sorry joel storm has got past looking at the time he screams for punishments and there's our new race leader joel stern has gone through and now held up by the aston martin that's not running in this grouping at all it's down in 33rd position that mobility has lost any hope of holding on to stern but looking at stern's lap pace it was one and a half two seconds of that fast it was a question of when not if he'd take the lead of the race so joel sturm victor yesterday with bastian boost boosted the first part of today's race and now with uh just a little over a quarter of an hour remaining he's not only hitting the front but he's pulling clear now can jean-luc boba league hang on to second place got to look at the gap between him and fabian mitchell the last time around their lap pace was very different indeed michelle was a nearly two seconds a lap faster than boba league so boba leake yesterday this car as jim clare mentioned started 34th 35th and worked his way very well up the order today it's a different story it's going the opposite direction it was first up to the point of the pit stops and uh yes 35th to fifth overall it's sixth overall yesterday and today it's first now second would it still finish in the top ten or the top half dozen anyhow the clock continues to count down and also just noticing that uh fabian michelle's gonna have to watch his tail because just catching him little by little is the v8 racing camaro rather messy exit really really bouncy as he tried to to get the car firm again on the track and uh this is going to give some real sucker to the driver in the v8 racing camaro in the background yeah the gap's really coming down the blue and white audi still running in third place fabian michelle but he is being hunted the good news let's take a look at uh here is the change of the lead nice neatly done out of turn three by turn four the move was done and john lubova leaked maximum respect to him got very close there but he realized that he saw two and a half second lap margin being clawed back so that was the change of the lead i think we might have a change for third place soon because this driver yoko panga in the number 17 silver cup class chevrolet bear in mind there are two pro outs in front of him that's boba in second place michelle in third place overall and so for a matter of his pride he's got to try and get past them to get at least two silver cup cards in the top two positions look set to do that the clock is uh just over 15 minutes remain and again this is the best chance to see your position relative to those around you in front of you behind you whatever you're looking for and down the start finish straight into turn one they go if we've got a pace changing behind though it's still the the aston martin hanging on reuben del sar but loris cabarrus number 30 alpine from cmr that really has the look of a a battle that's going to have positions of swapping around but ruben delsart driving very well indeed very nice and smooth certainly got plenty in hand coming out of turn three it's a lot of drivers running wide on the exit in fact it was kabaru in the alpine look so who's starting to run out of road on the outside there ruben del sarte down through turn five the alpine looks that little nimbler but the aston martin very very smooth indeed both slightly dropping away from the tail of clemont sailor maybe one and a half nearly two seconds back as they go through turns seven and eight you can see how the alpine driver caberu got closer and closer to the last two laps but now he's got on the tail the increments are tiny he's actually just got to make the overtake but the question is where here's a good place down at the end of the infield straight so the aston martin ahead as they exit turn nine halfway down the straight now if you're gonna make a move you've got to get up the inside but you're gonna get the braking done and of course very even though this is a refined reprofiled corner turn 11 comes on you very quickly indeed occasionally we see the move to this corner here turn at number 12 but uh not going to happen this time around turn 13 not really a corner where a great deal of passing happens particularly when you've got cars that are very close in terms of pace of course if you're lapping someone you've got a possibility uh you've got the performance advantage and then turn 14 15 the chicane it tends to be more a case of colliding than passing into this corner unless you are very very lucky indeed but uh i think it's about getting a good exit from there sweeping through turn 15 16 down the start finish straight getting a tow if you possibly can and cabaret certainly has got that may get a move down into turn one but the race leader joel sturm it's been a fantastic weekend for the allied racing crew victory yesterday and the clock continues countdown and his advantage has grown and grown since he passed strongly boba league five and a half seconds to the good now just taking a look to see and boba league is being hunted down fabian michelle took a second and a half out of him last time around he's uh four and a bit seconds in arrears but it's going to be very close towards the end of the race can bobally can hang on and that would be a very good result if he can if he can get uh second position even third position outright that'd be fantastic for a param runner but he's still top in pro-am haven't looked to see who is faring best of all in the am class but i i could almost guess that it would be christoph hamill really good first half of the race by his his teammate in the number 669 team full motorsport audi which was michelle balsham and christoph is going very well indeed so he's in 22nd position overall next car in the am classes four places further back nicola gomar in his ags events aston martin he's halfway down to turn 10 and then the car that's third but hunting him down bit by bit fabian b charlotte in the background but he's got company because the opera panga is all over his tail the bright audi in the middle of that shot that is the leader car number 69 in the am class just trying to see how much further back out of the track so out of sight is the driver who's chasing him in fact about yeah about 15 no more than that about 18 seconds back is nicola gomar who's second in the am class but it's been a really good weekend a really good year for the am champions in the gt4 european series they like gregory gilbert and fabian michelle who'd already got the pram title wrapped up before they came here they too had got the ant title in the bag and again enterprising battles and edward julie those that order has changed in recent laps but uh just outside the top ten number 26 allied racing porsche has just moved ahead of gus bowers to go up into 14th overalls put the second of the alloy the united or sport mclarens behind them but uh really it's all just focus on what's happening up ahead now side by side into the chicane but shembolic basically keeps keeping the f behind him so bmw stays ahead of mercedes when i say mercedes i mean mercedes mercedes because edward julie is tucked in third in that four car battle and then the porsche alexander hartman really started to make progress in the blue nose portion the background he's got a very good toe over the start finish line down to turn one look for the the blue nose on the porsche well it's that was a really good move fantastic exit speed out of turn 16. and uh the job was done long before they got down the hill so for edward julie a moment ago he was challenging the number 15 mercedes he's now got a buffer between him and a buffer that was quicker than he was car number eight is being warned of the black and white flag that's antoine potty and this is a car that's a second in the silver cup class but uh way down the order being ward for disrespecting track limits it's running around in 18th place that's the car shared with stefan lemare and the poor qualifying position really really hurt them car number four which we saw at the front end it's now got robert consarni at the wheel but for the first part of the race it was uh had benjamin the reach being warned for respecting track limits at the final corner turn 16. but quite often it's the driver in the car he's has does it once but the driver warning is coming their way because the teammate's done it several times it's not always all on the shoulders of the driver at the wheel when the penalty is issued they might have a small share in the the collection of crime this is a fantastic battle it's not even in the top 10 it's 11th place overall backwards almost down to 20th position so it's chamberlook bazi in behind luke ibn is when i say behind almost in frankly the number 15 mercedes gets up the inside but as they go up the hill is there going to be space for a move but you've got to just keep hanging on around the outside but the outside is the wrong side and followed basically hangs on but i think the passing movement may have just about been completed let's see as they get to the next turn up at turn 13 it's side by side but the mood has been completed slightly off track in doing so but gets the mercedes ahead into the chicane and then can't really get the brakes done not the inside comes the 26 porsche very good move from alexander hartfig there's body rubbing that could be messy well that was uh what we call robust and i think there's probably a puncture there side on contact and suddenly from challenging for about 12th place back to about 20 in there and i think yeah looking the way that porsche has lost out that was robust between bologna and the the porsche driver and unfortunately for alexander hartfig who'd worked so hard all that good has been undone at the front of the field joel stern leads by nine seconds from jean-luc lee who's only got a three second buffer over fabian michelle it's coming down but so is the clock only eight and a half minutes remaining his final one hour race of the 2021 gt4 european season and hadn't been rubbed a little too hard and uh somebody picked up a puncture let's take a look this is the move 15 going past that you given if into the chicane and then while the bmw was delayed up the inside came alexander hartfig there's a bit of a push and a shove between the pair of them in fairness he wants to get back on the track and they carried on pushing and shoving with the porsche on the grass on the inside but the puncher already been affected with that side-by-side contact and uh all thoughts of point points for the second of the allied racing porsches out the window but of course their main car the lead car is leading the race joel storm in the second half of the race pulling clear not under pressure bobolique is the driver under pressure he's still second overall still leading the prime class but fabian michelle getting closer and closer in the number 42 santello racing audi and after that uh very close uh contact in this eight-car gaggle last time around spaced out a little bit car number 88 in the mercedes in the hands of paul everett in behind him he's got one of the mclarens he's got gus powers and should be potty has now made his move antoine potty picking up place is the number eight toyota should have been at the front of the field come on may but it didn't work for them in qualifying and it's been a real race and chase now the one chance for jean-luc boboli because the clock gets down to almost seven minutes is the fact that the driver who's chasing him fabian michelle i know we're racing in different classes we're talking about the two pro runners they're second and third but look at michelle the blue and white audi right in behind he's got the blue chevrolet but that in turn is being challenged as well europe has got clemencyler behind him and pushing in the yellow white black santa lock racing audi they're buying each other time oh not quite close enough to look into turn five but the consideration was there fabian michal survives that one but of course as he survives that he's looking backwards and oh dear we've got uh porsche running very slowly indeed front suspension splayed oh i think that's alexander hartwig still trying to limp his way back of course he missed the pits he missed the pit in when the punctures really affected themselves so he just needs to keep out of the way his race is effectively run jim pla will be watching on he handed over the akka 87 mercedes in the lead to jean-luc bobalique who very soon had joel sturm go past him as he rejoined but uh jim pla still with the clock counting down six minutes and no change ahead of fabian michelle is coming down by smaller margins now that's because michelle has to look to his rear look in his mirrors and see how close is the chevrolet the answer is very close indeed about half a second down but maybe just maybe being bought a bit of an advantage a little bit cautious over the curbing there from jean-luc boba league these last five minutes are going to be very very tense indeed will he take a pro-am class win they've got one in the bag this year when they also had the good measure of winning the race outright at sanford but uh it's going to be a big sweat for jean-luc league to see if he can hold on to that second place overall to take the pro-am win but another lap goes on the board it's 27 laps down the gap between second and third between bob leake and michelle two and a half seconds but look michelle is busy he's got company and all along as we looked at what was the battle a three-car battle michelle ropanga in the in the chevrolet and came on silent it's a four-car battle because loris cabarru the car that could and should have won yesterday the car that had the turbo problems that led to its retirement has hunted them down and he's caught them this is all potentially oh now what's happened suddenly with cabaret coming into the picture that's taking the attention of clem on silent this is allowing the number 17 camaro driver to have a little bit of a gap so he can attack the audi but michelle just enough of an advantage slightly more than he had into turn five last time around where the chevrolet had a little look no we're going back to nose to tail third fourth and fifth quick check in on the am class and 19th place overall it's the number 69 team full motorsport audi leading that handsomely so i don't think we have to be too concerned but full course yellow the pace has suddenly dropped and the car that had a few little bits of contact early on just suddenly spotting those cars slowing down and uh unfortunately off into the wars and clearly the front splitter ripped off that that's edward julie and um so four minutes remaining in this race and that you can gain no seconds at all oh now it's chamber is that the bazi car yes the teammate carl jaggers get it is already in the pits and it might have taken two to tango but chambal at bars here bear in mind was rubbing wheels not so long ago with alexander hartfig hartwig's porsche had to pull off with a porsche and uh suddenly it means will we get to the end of this race still under full course yellow there's a very big possibility and that means jean-luc league will be taking if it stays as it is the pro-am on as you can see the red flashes behind his name on the graphic on the left-hand side of the screen and he's got that uh two and a half second advantage over fabian michal and so down at turn two we've got car number 12 stopped i don't think that's particularly in anybody's way but it's the number 74 mercedes edward julie's car that has taken the battering is off at the side of the circuit that's the cd sport mercedes so we may well run to the finish in this order with nobody gaining any positions for clearly no time intervals being closed down all cars running with the limiter on which forces to run at exactly the same pace but if it does get released you can see the intent of the driver of the alpena back at the back of that pack that he expects to be able to try and make a maneuver gap first a second well let's take a look at what happened it's the wonderful sweeper as they come up the hill seven and eight not so wonderful you get a a little movement on and uh i'm afraid edward julie seemed to be the passenger just then but his mercedes has hit the wall and bounced back and meanwhile joel sturm clocks up another lap his advantage is huge at the head of this race but uh if we do get to go racing if we do go green again his lead big enough by a very large margin to be sure that he will take a second win here this weekend the final weekend of the 2021 gt4 european series it's been really really entertaining and i think the first half of this race was absolutely excellent fun indeed but we may yet go green again we may yet have uh boris kabaru trying to recover something from a weekend that could have started with victory in the number 30 alpe it didn't it was a turbo problem but it also means if we run like this look just under two minutes remaining that jean-luc bobby will have done surely enough to protect that position he has to win the pro-am class for the second time this year and take us the second best result he had one win at sanford the second of the two races at zamboa but here uh it's been a good weekend started 35th yesterday came through to six started first today and if they get second at the end of this race they'll be very very pleased at akka asp so with the uh car deep in the gravel the number 74. cd sport mercedes they're not going to recover that in time i'm sure of that so sort of a bit of a quiet end but uh the outcome of the race was really never in doubt uh the combined excellent sebastian boost and joel stern we're going to take the silver cup on there's a little bit of front end damage it's probably been there for a while because the uh number 14 clemons silo driven car was right in the thick of battle early in the race with roy mayhas as well but sansa racing running a good pair of very competitive audis and uh two of them in the top five positions and of course uh fabian michal top of our shots is driving the one that's further ahead that's in third position second in the prime class but as we count down to just uh we're in the final minutes of this race clearly this is going to have checkered flag at the end of this lap and it will be shown to the driver at the front of the queue the number 22 joel sturm driven allied racing porsche uh for jean-luc boba league he will take victory in this car in the middle of the screen the number 87 akka asp mercedes and so he'll he'll be relieved but i think he had enough in hand just to resist charging fabian michelle because if fabian hadn't had cars on his tail i think the gap would have come down more but fabian has a little bit of an advantage now but look the clock has come to the end of the hour so the overall order at the end of this race just looking for the checkered flag to be way doesn't need to be waved yet because we're still i'm still waiting for the race leader to come through the final sweep of the circuit onto the start finish straight and charles sturm has gone through we've got another lap to do because this is now the final lap because joel sturm just squeaked through before the end of the hour just behind my timing screens there he is down at the end of where the safety car is now out but it's too late for anybody to do over any overtaking even if the safety car is just picked up the race leader so by the dint of probably the blink of an eye one further lap goes on the clock but nobody can overtake so we'll get this race through to 30 laps in fact he passed the start finish line with uh three and a half seconds on the clock still to run in this one hour race so still a wave yellow flag from this the starting gantry and the full course yellow sign but we have a safety car picking up the race leader there it is you can get to enjoy in its in its glory and that is allied racing's car that looks better and better through this weekend because it's got one win and it's about to pick up another and so far clear in fact 26 seconds to good over jean-luc boba league but it's not comparing like with light because bastion boost and general sturm are a silver cup lineup jean-luc boba leek is the am that runs alongside jim pla and we've got a pram car in third place as well that's fabian michel who's building on the work of gregory gilbert but it will be victory two victories in the weekend for allied racing with their porsche so the cayman 718 picks up more scalps and i should enjoy a very good evening here in barcelona tonight they really would have earned it uh very well indeed but uh shame we had to end under the yellow but also a shame that number 74 mercedes had to end up in the gravel bed on the outside of turn number 12 sort of went off on the slope out of turn 11 but the race nearly at a conclusion and uh yet another fourth position for team the v8 racing camaro and it would have loved the top three and possibly if the race hadn't gone on to full course yellow it could have made the move finally on fabio michelle but michelle a redoubtable defender i don't don't think he'd have made it easy but then if it was going to possibly cost him second place in the pro-am points he he wouldn't have given that away either so he might have left the door open a little bit but anyhow it didn't come to that and the race belonged to the 22 allied racing team with their porsche i'm honours to christoph hamor has happened so many times this the season sharing as he has done for a long time with uh michelle blanchama and just another good run but victory outright the allied racing number 22 porsche bring it in slowly behind the safety car and uh not too far to go for that grouping of cars but uh just on the run from 12 to 13. that's just past the scene of where the mercedes just had a shot over that rise is in the gravel bed that is why the full course yellow is there that is why the safety car is leading the field around and here is our race leader who's about to become the race winner winner yesterday winner again today being very very strong run for allied racing and there the yellow flag is swapped for a checkered flag if you've been backed off by three and a half seconds we could have had but it was uh this last time around but anyhow delighted for allied racing such a staunch supporter of the gt4 european series over the years and uh they end their season in great style and here jean-luc boba lee comes through taking victory in the pro-am class second time he's managed that this year for akka asp a flash of the lights and a good effort from fabian michelle and gregory gilfer they will end up second in class today and just a few seconds back so they too very happy for santa luck racing v8 racing in behind fourth overall everyone's giving a little flash of the lights to the marshall waving the flag up on the gantry there so the season is over the champions charlie and bailey in the silver cup class gregory gilbert fabian michelle in the pro-am class and michelle blanchamo and christoph hamill they take the plaudits in the am class so it was busy busy early on nice and clean then we had a few little moments as the race sorted itself out by the way in in all the changing even tracoma came through to third place in the prime class we'll see him on the podium he's in uh one of the other porters that went very well in 12th place overall and here is our am victor almost never in doubt anthony johnson went very well in the first half of the race in the svc sport management toyota that had to serve an extra pit stop a quick repair then back out um the races ended under full course yellow and that ended up down the order so it was uh christopher winning um very comfortably indeed already the champion second place went to eric hair and nicholas gomer and third place went to the driver who was racing all on his own so gregory faysal in the santa lot racing number 21 audi uh completed the trio in the am class but uh winner no doubt about that uh bastian boos who kicked off and joel sturm who brought it home and he really is uh hasn't got too far to go to come and park up under the podium but uh yesterday they came in they cruised in slowly bastion booster just absorbing the fact he'd come back to gt4 this weekend and took a win well he's gone and doubled that he started today and it's joel's terms turn to bring it in slowly and just savor the moment here at the circuit the barcelona catalunya and again just looking at some little messages on the screen car number 12 incident at turn 16 the final corner 12 and 26 under investigation of course that was uh jim bullock bazi in the borison automotive motorsport bmw getting side by side and a puncture for the 26. porsche alexander hartvig which has ended up lapsed down and out of the race as well so that's under investigation so the steward's having plenty to do but allied racing came here qualified well got the job done yesterday and have done exactly the same again today so they really are ending the season with their tails up and uh for joel sturm through this season he's only won one race before and that was with nikolai muller madison and he got bastion boost back this weekend and he's won two more so he's really ending the season with plenty of momentum jean-luc boba leake will also be very pleased indeed waiting to see the teams that are starting to walk up the pit lane towards the podium and with the cars coming in so so slowly it does seem it's a while since we got to the end of the hour but only now turning into the pit lane for the last time this season as a victor as they were yesterday the number 22 allied racing porsche what a job they've done such a competitive field such a large field 41 cars coming out to play and uh maybe the pick of the pack but for the season in the silver cup you have to look to the 23 crew the mclaren that today finished down in 10th position they were the silver cup champions they got the deal done yesterday but uh certainly today it was all about as it was yesterday the allied racing porsche bassimbu started joel sturm finished and they were 20 seconds clear with the race that ended under full course yellow that turned into safety card jim player and jean-luc boba league second but importantly for them they won the prime class and gregory gilbert and fabian michelle gave it a very good go their second in the prom class to take third overall and for europanga and taiwan yet another fourth place finish but it's been a good strong season for them at v8 racing but they're hugs all round bastion boos out to welcome the driver with the helmet the driver who finished the race and of course that was joel stern he's got a busy busy weekend they're both competing in the gt world challenge the three-hour endurance round as well but they've warmed up this morning and did it in the best way possible by taking victory and in the background of the shot the mercedes is parked up closest to the pit building and uh jean-luc bobolique has hopped out of that there's jim pla to congratulate him on completing that race in second place they've had quite a weekend and each race they were far closer to the front than they were at the front of the field yesterday when they started 35th big smiles all around from jean-luc oba so he's very pleased indeed looks like he's going to be able to hang on to second place it was going to be very tight but then with the full course yellow there's no chance for him to be past and he really worked his corner very well indeed it's a cap on mask on as we have these days and uh looking forward to going down to hearing the thoughts of the winners because uh really they delivered in fantastic style and gemma is down as on as if on cue with the winners now sebastian boos and the driver who brought it home joel stern boys you've brought it home all been under the safety car for the finish but a fantastic effort joel you took the car over there and you took the lead after those pit stops yeah it was a pretty pretty decent stint i would say we could increase the gap every lap so was quite i would say relaxing in the end um just super happy now after what happened yesterday i think it's well deserved for the team and uh yeah make a race absolutely investing as you arrived here and greeted joel we saw the joy in your face yeah i mean we got a good start from p4 which was not the easiest position but we had good pace again today and uh yeah took the win that we also deserved to have yesterday so we're happy congratulations well done once again thank you please guys they're getting very accustomed to making these winners winners interviews beneath the podium but really really well done it was it's a very very packed peeled and to come top once it's good come top twice is very very impressive indeed and they are number one in front of the car number 22 on the bonnet but the important thing is there by the number one the winners mark aboard down below the podium of course the podium ceremony will follow but many happy faces down there the satisfaction to have got not just through another season but another season run in a pandemic and to come here with 43 cars real testament to the appeal enduring and increasing appeal of the gt4 european series and a great mix of tracks let's just run over them again monster paul ricardo sanford spa frankenshaw nurburgring and barcelona all grand prix circuits and all provide great racing for these gt4 cars but let us go down and hear from our pro-am champions they came second in prime today but it's fabian michel and the driver who started greg gilbert boys congratulations from champions this year yeah it was so lovely years you know every every nearly every race we was on on podium so yeah we cannot expect at the start of the season but we are really really happy about this season with fabian with the team with audi with santelok with my family so yeah it's a lot of pleasure [Music] victims okay that sort of says it all you have to be consistent as well as quick and um the left and fabian michelle they kept on delivering today they were second in the prime class but the championship already in the bag and they had some great racing so no wonder that you can sense the satisfaction they feel and a great year for them with santa lot racing today of course belongs to that number 22 allied racing car two wins in two races here at barcelona so they have really really ended the season in style and there really was some great racing here and again circuit gives them space to go out and play and then the job of the person has to marshal the people up to the to the podium always a tricky one where people want to just hang around and talk and celebrate the adrenaline is still pumping but we will get to the podium ceremony it was a really really good fun today i think this championship really does just provide great diversity at the end of the race we had porsche from mercedes audi but let's go down to park ferme because uh two people had a fantastic season they're the silver cup champions it's charlie and bailey voicer bailey charlie it may not have been a perfect weekend this weekend but it's been a fantastic season and you've won the silver carp championship well done thank you very much yeah it feels amazing absolutely over the moon bailey's first year in gts and it's just yeah a mega mega feel and i'm over the moon bailey what a first year absolutely incredible i never expected in my debut season of gd4 to be crowned uh gt4 european silver drivers champion um charlie's been incredible the entire united auto sports team have been incredible and the mclaren has been a pleasure to drive all year um yeah no just fantastic feeling to be honest back again next year to defend uh we'll see about that maybe we'll move up on but uh big thanks to everyone at mclaren ian danny and mike flew the ceo who gave me an opportunity four years ago to to get a chance at gt racing and it's all down to him and danny and those guys to give them a platform to win this championship this one's for them thank you very much [Music] and well said for charlie remembering to help the people who've helped him work his way up the rankings and the job very well done in 2021 so the gt4 european series draws to a conclusion that may yet be some changes in the order because certainly a few offenses being considered but uh no doubting the race winner joel sturm and bastian boos they'll be up with a big smile on the podium very soon indeed but let's look back to the start of the race and it really was a very clean start from jim player in pole position the middle of the track with the red white black mercedes on the outside getting very very late breaking was greg gregory gilbert but the move that uh took the porsche with bastion boost at the wheel from fourth to third was an important one in behind relatively tidy but there were of course a few moments unfortunately for the 126 nm racing team mercedes innocent party and all of that but suddenly having no vision at all would have been a scary moment for rapper villain waver up front though he was neat and tidy mclaren's trying to keep out of the way they were down in the mid-lord and that's where a lot of the moments were happening and then maxim sulei getting into the side of constantine lack an hour that would eventually lead to a puncture on the green nosed sellers racing team mercedes charlie in the early part of the race uh getting very close to the number 74 mercedes and that would go off at one corner and the number nine uh vc driven audi unfortunately going around it got going again but uh retired to the pits and then there was some robust moments there 74. mercedes from cd sports getting close indeed constantine like an hour getting two wheels on the grass down towards picking predicted that scale castelli trying to make the moves in the little two two two alpe drive who was pushing very hard was benjamin nahesh in the speed car audi but uh fast into turn five doesn't mean fast out so the business changed but merc working their way forward third became second bastion boost getting past gregor gilbert and into the pits they came they pitted relatively early but the car that was leading the race continued as long as it could that was jim platt others dived into the pit lane but jim clark kept on circulating he was almost the last car to come in and make the driver change to hand over to jean-luc bobolique behind mercedes seem to be the ones attracting all the attention in the racing and there is the move bastion boost handed over to joel sterman in short order he worked his way past the 87 mercedes jean-luc boba league of course pairing he's the am driver he wasn't going to be able to hold the allied racing porsche behind this is where contact happened at turn 16. that's under investigation at the moment but side by side side contact symbol of bazi and his bmw having a rub with this alexander hartfig driven allied racing porsche so the problem for them with that porsche but the sister car continuing to lead the race and then right towards the end of the race the cd sport 74 mercedes into the tire wall that meant the race ended under full course yellow leading to safety car lights flashing allied racing got the job done and uh for bastia boos and joel sturm [Music] 14 taking third place in the silver cup with roy maher second place uh tit time in the boar and yorapanga in their v8 racing camaro but the top step will go to the race winners gerald sturm and bastian boos these are the three top runners in the silver cup class [Music] so waiting for the national anthem of the winning team it's the german national anthem for allied racing [Music] so they experienced the top step of the podium yesterday and they've done it again today two outright wins for our silver cup front runners here at barcelona photographers getting the standard photos and then for once today they can actually let rip with the the bubbly because they don't need their overalls again today but possibly actually the two drivers on the top step will because they're competing in the endurance race the three-hour gt3 race for the gt world challenge but right now they've got the smiles on their faces they've got the trophies as well hold them up for the photos and they've ended their season in syria's style and representative from allied racing alongside he looks actually happier than the drivers but uh now it's time for champagne and they're going to be they were quick on the track will they be quick with the fizz so celebrations all round the gt4 european series the the final silver cup winners of the season that's here at barcelona it's been a great series a great season and uh well-earned drinks for all of them and so v8 racing are definitely going to need some new dry overalls for any further racing if they're competing later this year so well done to the the cars that finished first fourth and fifth that's joel sturm and bastian boos first overall fourth on the track but second in the silver cup class it's uh time in the board and your propaganda and then clement seiler in car number 14 and rory mayharst who said fantastic first season at this level [Music] so podium continues just waiting for the priam runners to come out so waiting for the pram drivers to come out and the drivers who finished in second place overall won the pram class today they will be the third set of drivers coming out of the car they finished third in the prime class even jacoma and max bosnelli the [Music] [Music] in the bag but uh second place today but super happy leads out his teammate jim player who started from pole position and john luke managed to shed only one position in the second half of the race and he took second overall but first in the prime class and he very happy [Music] [Music] [Music] so the marseilles the french national anthem rings out for akka asp their mercedes first to the finish in the prime class second overall the race and a well deserved class victory for them today the drivers on the left-hand side of the podium also french pairing the tall figure of fabian michelle and gregory gilbert but they already had the pro-am title for gt4 european series in the bag but yet another strong showing from them and for max bus nelly and even jacoma the italian swiss driver lineup for the swiss team century potter chichino third place in the pram class in 12th overall so they were really mixing with the top guns up there and as the bubbly is sprayed around gregory gilbert very wisely has just tucked himself out of harm's way we'll await the final podium of the gt4 european series it will be for the am runners but uh great see the prime run is able to run right at the front end of the field and don't forget we had the front row of the grid was all pro-am and those two cars only slip back one position to go from first and second to second and third only passed by the allied racing porsche crew so a really really you know the gap between pros and amps is so so small now now we're waiting for the am runners to come to the podium the first crew out will be the number 21 crew santa racing when i say the crew it's just one person gregory faycell the only driver who decided to do the whole event on his own he wasn't greedy he just wanted to do as much lapping as he could that's all but uh third place for him in am class that's 25th place overall 22nd overall and second in the am class it's the 89 crew from ags events aston martin crew nicola gomar and eric hair who really enjoyed a very good season indeed but the best season of all in the am class christoph hamill 18th place overall sharing as ever with his team full motorsport audi teammate michele [Music] and friends and family up on the podium too quite right they get to share share the moment so [Music] again in fact it's an all-french team podium in the amp class we've got team full motorsports so the national anthem works for them we've got second place we've got the 89 crew from ags events that works for them as well and third place it goes as well so it's been a great season for the gt4 european series the biggest grids they've ever had the best racing they've ever had i cannot wait until 2022 well done to all concerned it's been a great great year [Music] you
