This concert features one of my favorite moments in Queen and maybe concert history.
Another One Bites the Dust, John Deacon, just laying down that bassline, wearing some boring blue outfit and Freddie comes strutting out in the greatest combination of hot pants, bandana and Canadiens hat possible, crotch thrusting all the way.
This entire performance looks like it was filmed last year, incredible audio and video quality. It's nearly 40 years old though.
Dropping this here as I just saw the performance for the first time yesterday. Probably my favorite post-Mercury Queen moment.
Holy cow. Roger Taylor can sing!
Now listen to the song again, but just the isolated vocal tracks of the studio version, to really appreciate how amazing he was.
It's a rare day when you find a singer that sounds better live than in the studio.
There’s also the live album, Queen Rock Montreal. And it’s also on Spotify.
This is the only version of Somebody to Love that I’ll listen to. Love it so much more than the studio version.
I was someone that never really appreciated Queen. Growing up I would always think "that's not my type of rock." Now in my 30's, after attending countless live shows, I wish I could have been to just one Queen concert. The sheer powerhouse vocalist that Freddie Mercury was really sets in that I missed something special. I was born too late and appreciated too little.
can't believe how good the quality of this video is
