The best performance of the night. Their vocals were on point (Bradley was a little shaky at the beginning, but he recovered), the atmosphere was perfect, and their chemistry was off the charts.
I wonder what's the next step in their careers. Is Gaga going to focus more on her movie career, or singing career? Hopefully, it's half-and-half. Kind of like a modern day version of Barbra Streisand, or Cher.
And is Bradley going to work on becoming a more established director, or is he going to become our next main pop girl?
I was so ready to riot that her team wouldn't add it to her official Vevo page. Get those streams queen.
Gaga was ready to risk it all
Still shaking from the fact that there really was no introduction needed. Truly iconic.
The intimacy and framing of this performance is breath-taking. Shooting it the "wrong way round" is so simple but so effective, and it's the same technique that made A Star Is Born so thrilling. Their immense chemistry also helps a lot; it's like they're barely aware of the audience.
That was pretty baller, just strolling onto the stage from the audience like that.
This was beautiful from start to finish. It was touching, it was weird, beautifully filmed, even the imperfections elevated it. I genuinely had chills from the moment the stagehands came out. Probably one of my favorite Oscar performances ever.
Gaga so modest, cutting off the video before the standing ovation (actually the 1st of 2 standing ovations, as she and Bradley got another one when they were getting back to the seats during the commercial break)!
I continue to be amused by the reactions of non-popheads, who are once again declaring things like, "wow, I didn't know she was so talented!" Just like they did after her "Sound of Music" medley, or her national anthem at the Super Bowl…
I really hope these two collab again somehow
