Q&A What I Really Do For A Living - MissLizHeart

welcome back guys so today I have a Q&A I actually asked you guys on Instagram to leave any questions that you guys had for me so I'm gonna be referencing those I'm also just gonna be doing a get ready with me this is the makeup that have been wearing recently and it works really beautifully if you're gonna be out like in the outdoors and the Sun and also sweating so I'm gonna start off with a SPF this is the one that I have been recently using this is by Kors I like it because it does a good job of moisturizing at the same time phones with us protecting my skin from the Sun I you are gonna see a white cast I'm gonna definitely does smell like sunscreen but that's okay next I'm gonna use this primer this is by our gloss and this is one of the crucial steps to making your makeup look good even through sweating and all of that this is a really amazing a mattifying primer yeah and I love using this and the areas that I know that I sweat so for me it's like my nose my upper lip and underneath my eyes so I just kind of concentrated in all those areas we're foundation I'm going to be using the NARS foundation this is a really beautiful long wear foundation but it's got a really beautiful radiant finish and I am in between shades right now so I'm gonna use stromboli which is my normal winter shade and then also mix it in with this one right here it's called run waffle and Benoit do is what's called so the first question on here says how do you balance keeping up with being a youtuber blogger slash taking care of your baby hubby in home my short answer to that is I have a lot of help I'm fortunate enough to have a very involved husband and he is he helped me tremendously the days that I'm gonna be filming he watches the baby when same goes the other way around on days that he has to go out and meet with clients I take over the house and I take over watching Sebastian although I would say because I'm able to do my job from home I watch him the majority of the time for concealer I'm gonna be using the Laura Mercier conceal it I love his concealers my only playing as I wish they had a better shade selection because I used w2 and I mix it with 3w because one is too light and the other one is too dark I don't have really dark under-eye circles so I don't need a lot a lot of coverage underneath my eyes I use it mostly for brightening I wish that they had like one shade in between it would be so perfect by the way my husband is with Sebastian in the nursery right now so he phase will probably hear him hear the occasional the occasional screamer Baby Talk he is talking so much right now it is incredibly nice I'm going to be using this powder this is from our gloss this is their new translucent powder oh my gosh you guys this powder is amazing I am obsessed with it it's got a really gorgeous luxe packaging see a lot of questions on here asking what I do for a living is YouTube my only source of income so yeah after the first year of being on YouTube I was getting a little bit of money from like my blog I was also getting some money from my Adsense which I'd cents it's not a lot at all really where you get the majority of money is from actual paid sponsorships so my first year I did get a few of them and that's when me and my husband kind of looked at each other and said hey this I mean aside from it being so much fun it has the potential to turn into an actual job you know I don't have to go back out into the workforce at the time I was doing all of the administrative and photography work for our real estate side of the business so I was still kind of I was still getting to work from home but I was on call with my husband so by the second year that's when I really kicked it into gear I was uploading three to four videos a week so by year two that's when my income really started to grow and that's when I decided to invest in like higher equipment like a better camera more better lighting that our audio you know I was reinvesting all the money that I was making off of making videos that first year and back into my channel so I'm going to use this bronzer this is by urban decay it's called each bronzer by the way all the brushes that I'm using are from Smashbox and then to contour my nose I've been using this palette from Urban Decay someone asked if YouTube shut down today what job would you like to have would you like to be a stay home mom yeah like we had always planned to when we were ready to have kids that we would be living off of one income YouTube shut down today honestly I wouldn't go back out into the workforce I would be a stay home mom it's just really cool that I don't have to pick because YouTube exists I can do both and that's just so incredible to me oh my gosh you guys I was sitting here talking and like winding my brush in here that I picked up so much product oh my goodness I need to blend this out somebody actually wrote on here what did they say let me find it I was laughing because it's like oh well I mean it is my channel basically they said something to the effect of it'd be nice if you talked about your husband and not just yourself but it's my channel it's not my husband's channel so yeah the reason I don't share my husband on my channel is because I still want to keep an element of privacy I almost didn't want to have Sebastian on my channel but I love the fact that I'm gonna have this footage for when he's older of him being a baby so that's part of the reason why I decided to include him in my channel because it's kind of like capturing little pieces of his life and on top of that I don't feel like people are gonna be mean towards a baby okay so this is the eyeshadow palette that I've been using it's by Anastacio Etsy Modern Renaissance palette and I just love using like the peachy color or the pinky colors so I've been doing a really really simple eye and I'm gonna show you guys I'm so I just take the brown shade and I'll use that on my crease like very lightly to define my crease I do have eyelash extensions I have the volume lashes and the 6d style so they're like they're really thick full ones and honestly don't think I'm not crazy about it I think I'm gonna go back to the 3d lashes because I feel like these are way too much like when I'm not wearing makeup I feel like they just overpower my entire face so I'm probably gonna go back to the 3d and then I'm gonna take that like a mob Yves St rose color and then I use that also on the crease of my eye and then I will just take any shimmery color like if this shimmery champagne color is really pretty yeah I'll also been doing my eyeliner differently so this is just a black eyeliner by Marc Jacobs but it is just so beautiful so I just take case a tiny smudger brush and just smudge it out and kind of add a little wing at the end I love this I pencil because it stays put all day long and it's also super creamy that it goes out it glides on really smoothly but then you can still smudge it out lots of people wanted to know if we plan on having more kids and we definitely want a little sibling for Sebastian this pregnancy was just it was very high risk and I'm still kind of I'm still not back to 100% my platelets are still really low like I just I have this giant bruise right here so this is what happens when my platelets drop I get bruised everywhere so yeah because of that we're not sure if it's a good idea to go through that again but we still have a little bit of time because I do want them close in age so I would want to start trying when Sebastian turns wine I'd want to start trying for a second one so we're kind of just kind of playing it by ear and just waiting to see how things go so I'm gonna do my eyebrows this is the hour gloss eyebrow pencil it's my favorite eyebrow pencil and I have it in the shade dark brunette what is our relationship and like with me and my husband that we have a baby do I have any advice how to get the romance back so this is not something that I am an expert at I am still we are still trying to figure things out definitely getting back to dating your husband is key to getting getting that romance back and it's not something that's gonna happen naturally it you have to force it you have to make time for it you have to as much as you don't want to leave your baby you have to realize that it's the best thing that you can do for your baby it does take a little while to start to normal again after having a newborn you're just you're sleep-deprived you're walking around like a zombie you're adjusting to a brand new life with a baby I also feel like you don't want to neglect your husband or your loved ones it's a lot of pressure to like try to balance all those things but it starts with yourself you have to get yourself right before you can take care of everybody else so for me it was doing things that made me feel normal again like the things that helped me was like taking I took one of the afternoons while Sebastian was sleeping because they sleep a lot when they're newborns I did my own nails I did I gave myself a hair trim I gave myself a blowout I exfoliated my skin I did a face mask and I just did all the little things that would bring me comfort and would make me feel better for I had a baby it helped to have a little bit of normalcy in my day so whatever is your normal before you have a baby like try incorporating that into your day and everything else will slowly start to fall in place but you can't you can't take care of everybody else if you're not taking care of yourself first it's kind of like that that whole um you guys have heard on the airplane they say put on your own mask before you put on anybody else's mask it's the same thing when it comes to life in general whether it's your finances or taking care of your family you just you have to take care of yourself first - loving this palette this is from Pixie it's the Dulce candy and pixie collaboration so I'm gonna take that that darker eyeshadow right here and put that on my lid because it's a little bit too light if you like shimmers and like lid colors like this this is a beautiful palette I'm going to use this palette by NARS it has a ton of really beautiful blushes I'm gonna take that middle top shade right there and I'm gonna use that as my blush like I need more bronzer what do you guys think did you get a new wedding band I noticed a different one in the recent video we were actually going to renew our vows in the fall time and I was pregnant so we couldn't do it and my husband actually surprised me with my dream ring during he actually had it custom-made and I got it during Valentine's Day this past year if it hard to do things like do your makeup and shower while having a new baby because it is for me yes it is like I said I just have to do it either one my in his home and he can kind of take over or I have to do it when he's taken a nap although right now because he's going through that Lake week his napping is very unpredictable so I'm not gonna lie their husband dates where the whole day has passed and I'm still missing clothes that I had when I woke up however Sebastian will always have like two to three outfit today mr. other date I've been dying to try this new highlighter this is from NARS this is in the color Fort de France it looks really pretty so I'm gonna use that on my cheekbones what's the hardest part about being a new mommy it literally breaks my heart to watch him be in any kind of discomfort like right now I think he's teething and I just wish I could take that discomfort away and then also knowing that that is a feeling that's gonna be with me for the rest of my life I'm always gonna be worrying about him okay so I had to get up and feed Sebastian again so speaking of I've had a lot of questions about about breastfeeding how long I plan on doing and all of that so I am exclusively breastfeeding Sebastian and originally when I first found out I was pregnant I knew I always knew I wanted to breastfeed but I didn't really know like for how long until I started doing more research on breastfeeding itself and like all of the benefits and just how incredible it is it helps with the Sebastian's brain development it also provides him with all the antibodies that he need he needs in order not to get sick and to catch like any sickness that's around him so I definitely want to go to one to two years if possible and of course it's also gonna depend on whether we end up having another baby close in age or not if I'm able to breastfeed while I'm pregnant and all that for my lips I'm going to be this is the lipliner I've been using a lot it's a pink lip liner it's by Mac and it's called edge to edge so I've been using this pretty much with like any lip stick just to give it a little bit of a pink undertone because they do have that pink on my eyelid when shopping what are some tricks do you like to do before breaking the bank I'm a very emotional person so I act a lot on my emotions and impulse so I know I have to stay away from the store so I do a lot of my shopping online and let's say if I have my eye on something I'm copy and paste the name of the item and the type it into Google and see what Google pulls up it'll usually pull up all the different stores have that item and I'll go to the cheapest one so yeah that's like my biggest tip that I have for you guys to save money also I will put Lu sale alert so there's like there's different apps that you can have notify you when something goes on sale I like using shop tagger that's a good one so a lot of you guys are asking what I would have named Sebastian if he is a girl I already have a name picked out and I may still use it if we do end up having a girl but I always loved the name Adeline and that that would have been his name have you ever hit hard times and how did you overcome it for us it's bad financial hard times in the past and any time that we kind of go through that we make that we call it financial lockdown we be at home as much as we can we go through our budget and we start cutting things out we whatever we can get rid of would get rid of it but one thing that we never ever get rid of is our tithing we make sure to always give 10% to the church and I truly believe that that husband part of the reason that we have been blessed I like to take the powdery look away especially if I'm gonna be out in the Sun so I will take my Beauty Blender where is it and I will take my fix+ and they will spray it the bottom of it just as much as I can and then and I will dab it just to make sure that it's like evenly distributed and then I will go in and Pat it all over my face so this is going to take that powdery look away and if you do start to sweat you're not gonna see like watching this on your skin so yeah I think I answered as many questions as I could if I didn't answer your question
