saw that the last two to three lives I mean for the past lives you seem to have some questions that I didn't have enough time and energy FOC dedicated to answer that properly so today let's try to answer all of your questions P ma once again every quick Q&A I'll try my best to answer as many questions as I can so that we get to interact and you get to lead the conversation for March for March 2024 what would be the best three words not the best but three words that best describe your March [Music] 2024 what live app is this oh we use um a software called streamyard streamyard decom it's not an app it's a like a web website that you can go live so yeah we use streamyard decom not sponsor but kind of love it yes three words for March for me March I would say pretty busy of course as always and tired hard okay busy fun transformative I would say the three words that best describe my March is busy of course but it's fun yeah a lot of things are fun and a lot of things I do this month are quite transformative I think there are things of course there is this uh course that we're working on right now and we are we just started a class called English transformation 21-day English transformation which I hope to bring transformative progress to people's English and that's one thing and also other thing is transformative in terms of me going to the gym more often that's to me that's transformative what about you try learn improve okay work work work work okay s digital H digital H virtual H virtual H sending you good vibes from here p w have a problem so repeat oh yes love this problem solution or problem and solving the problem and then repeat every single day Sarah here hello Sarah is one of the loveliest facilitator from the Philippines joining us in the program 21 days about W nervous inconvenient improve that's a great thing that's a great thing because when things get comfortable you stop growing somehow but when you get a little like healthy a little excited a little nervous a little it's new to me you get to adapt you get to do something new that's when you improve a whole lot yeah get have practice love relax oh that's kind of nice despair acne Fallen why sending you sending you the emotional support yeah okay anyway we could talk more about that if you would like to and if I could be of help to you anyhow but okay let's start with the question I don't know yeah asking for advice asking for information anything that I could help you with I would try my best if I cannot answer the questions I will try my best to um try to find the answer for you if I can I will answer it as best as I could yeah okay excellent question she asked how can I become excellent at English ah how can I become excellent at English actually this is probably the number one question and it seems because you I don't have I didn't have to convince you you I it's really rare for me to convince anyone to like you need to improve your English because P are PE people either want or not want it it's very clear um so it's not something that I personally feel like I have to motivate people people usually know how important it is but the the challenge is that you don't know where to start there are thousands of techniques there are thousands of videos there are hundreds of channels there are so many things that you could do and you don't know where to start and you don't know the way to it right to me despite all the amazing all the little tactics all the um Advanced Techniques I think it always come down to this framework and these principle when you are trying to learn and improve any language not just English but any language it always comes down to these three things and that is is input output and consistency input output and consistency that's the clearest answer I can give you of course there are more details that we could talk for days about how you can you know um improve your input how you can make your output more efficient how you can actually sustaining the consistency we can talk for hours and days and months but it always come down to to these three things so always remember these when you're are trying to learn a new language input input input is the thing the information that you receive yeah the it's the receptive skills the listening and reading skills to understand to receive understand the message that you receive through listening and [Music] reading we learn through enough input right it's not just the level or the amount of input it's also the level of your understanding and comprehension so of course you need to have enough input understand enough input in order for you to give enough output that's the output the output through speaking and writing right it's the productive skill you produce a message from your head from the memory from what you remember from what somebody said and you you kind of like change it in your own ways in your own words and then say it with your mouth write it down with your hands or typing it with your hand something like that right so you need to be able to process the information that you have and make it an output so two sides are balanced now one of the biggest problems people have especially in Thailand is that we have a lot of input you're watching this live right now you could be watching movies you could be listening to music but most of the time we remember once uh or we watch it but we don't know what to do with it and we can't use it as an output right and that's why why oh I can understand most of thing oh K is talking about something I I think I can understand something but I cannot speak it that fluently I cannot write it down as I want to right um so that's the imbalance between the input and the output you need to make it balanc you need to have both enough input and enough output now if you say wow but I have a lot of input I have a lot of output I feel very motivated I'm going to do this I'm committed I'm GNA watch movie three movies in one day and I'm going to speak for hours with far in jatu jaak Market I will find anyone in jatu jaak market and talk with them for hours but I'm going to do that for only two days and not anymore and that's gonna that's not going to work that's not going to last right so the last thing which is is as important is the consistency how long can you keep doing this until you see the results most people give up before they can see the result because they put a lot into the input they put a lot into the output but not enough consistency right so I can't tell you it's going to be you're going to see results you're going to start speaking fluently you're gonna be like a native speaker uh on day 10 or day 12 or day 30 there's no way of knowing it but what I know is that if you keep doing it effectively and long enough many times enough you will start seeing some results now these are the main principle the main three things that help you become good language good at communicating language yeah hope that answer your question thank you so much great great start for this life okay maybe more details yeah You're the Inspiration to learning English and you are the inspiration for me to keep teaching English thank you oh that's a great question how do you spend time to speak English how do you make time to speak English is that right um How do you you spend time from what I I understand from your question is on how do you make time for speaking English because in real life we in Thailand specifically in Thailand we don't get to speak maybe most people didn't didn't have the opportunity to speak as much so how do you spend time to speak how do you make time how do you schedule time to speak English am I right if if I'm wrong please correct me yeah if I'm wrong please correct me now how do you make time and schedule time for speaking the best way to do that is to pair input with an output right away so you didn't have to think about when you're going to speak once again let me repeat it once again the best way to practice output is not to separate between input and output but pair it pair them together pair them together whenever you listen some to something let's say you listen to something for five minutes you want to speak it talk about it review it comment on it summarize it for another five minutes or maybe more yeah so you pair it together whenever you do the input you do the output does it make sense so that's the best way to go on about it so that you don't have to think about when should I start speaking English I will start speaking that's a one technique input input always with output number two another another way is called implementation technique implementation intention sorry implementation intention and this is from the book called Atomic habits oh I don't have the English version with me right now but okay I'm going to explain it yeah implementation intention suggest that you should not rely on your motivation to do stuff because that always comes that always comes and goes if you rely on motivation you would do it once twice TSE and that's it right and then you will be waiting for you to feel motivated again and do it again maybe in the next three five six months right implementation intention is that you set intention of when exactly where exactly and what are the actions that you are going to do what the action is when you're going to do it and where you're going to do it so it's going to be you set and plan it and write it down yeah action plus time and place for example I'm going to listen to a podcast every morning at 7 a.m. while driving to work I'm going to record my voice talking about my day every night at 10 p.m. before I go to bed I'm going to use catch to practice my English conversation for five minutes before lunch at the office something like that so you set the intention not wait around for a motivation you set the action that you're going to do the specific time and specific place and actually there he shows some research that shows that just by setting attention of what you can do when you're going to do it and where you're going to do it um it actually increase the success the likelihood of you committing to that action oh I don't remember the numbers implementation intention so I would say um to answer Kali how do you make time you actually can set the intention of when you want to do it but make it as consistent as possible do not you you don't have to make it like one hour of talking three hours of talking it doesn't have to be like that it doesn't have to be one big Grand gesture it can be five minutes every day one minute every day anything consistent but keep working on it and by working on it consistently you want to set some implementation intention right okay okay coming back to I have a problem with pronunciation have try and try I really recommend actually I recommend in every live and I still do even until now you guys are gonna get bored of me but I'm gonna do it anyway imitation technique it's so hard to do that I really recommend doing imitation technique imitation technique what it means essentially is basically it is when you hear something you imitate the sound instead of saying instead of doing this I struggle with this for for a long time too I was trying to like kind of write down the Tai alphabet the the Tha I'm not to translation but okay I don't even know the word for it but when I hear a word when I heard the word before in the past while learning pronunciation I would say imitate imate so what I try to do later on and it worked really well for me that now I'm recommend recommending it to literally everyone all of my students is to imitate The Sounds because your your body knows better your body remembers better yeah so what you're trying to built is this thing called muscle memory muscle memory muscle memory you use muscle memory because your your body moves enough it remembers the movement right it's the same thing so you hear a sound and you try to imitate what you hear the original sound that you hear from movies from music from podcasts from YouTube videos whatever it is you try to imitate it and then your your your body remember it your mouth your tongue remember it if you do it enough times in parenthesis if you do it enough times of course you can't expect yourself to remember just after you pronouncing you're pronouncing it once really really really really really really really really really so what you try to do is you try to imitate the sound and you're trying to build muscle memory so that you don't rely on your memorization trying to remember the Thai version of it because it's never going to be the same English sounds has one set of sounds and Thai sounds is going to be very different from one another [Music] okay why are you so cute because I am I don't know how to answer this but oh self-esteem boost it's number one you're on the right path because you try you know you get stuck and it's going to take some time for you to develop what's called fluid uy but you're gonna get there it of course it takes time to gain the fluen language is not a set of information to just memorize it's a set of skills how you do it is that it of course you need to practice more output more instantly when your brains remember because right now right now if I'm if I'm if I may yeah if I may make an assumption if I may make any assumption I think your input is amazing but your output is still a little bit behind right so if you want to make it balanc when the output is more yeah uh when you're trying to do more output more frequently more consistently your brain starts picking things up more quickly so you need to be giving more output again and again no matter how how good or bad it is when you go to when you go to exercise your forms on the first day is not going to be like something like that because your brain knows how to do it now with enough process enough times of doing this thing the power of output the power of output the best ratio the best ratio of input and output the best ra ratio of succeeding at learning something and gaining skills from it is actually input three and output seven which means that you need to double the output from the input you [Music] have that's why Workshop works right because you don't just learn the information you actually using it all right I hope that answer your questions thank you I'm good at reading and listening skills but struggle to speak English I want to improve my speaking skills both in daily life and use in my career could you please suggest me how to improve it that is once again an excellent uh answer not answer an excellent question see I'm struggling to speaked to that's an excellent question and I think that applies to the same thing that I just uh suggested just now if you want to because you want to use a both daily life and your career you want to start diversifying your input and I think one of the best thing that you can do right now is to pair the input with the output so every time you're G to have any sort of input in English you want to try to think about how you can make this an output right away for example you're reading news articles in in English you want to maybe write the summary or maybe critique it by speaking and not focusing too much about whether or not it's perfect whether or not how you're like how the grammar structure is what good enough or whether or not your pronunciation is like native speaker yet you don't have to focus on that at all you just want to keep the process going by okay I have input I'm going to make this input at my output somehow writing speaking in any form in any way you so when you do that you're going to start to see that okay I start remembering things more it starts sticking on my brain a little bit more from my input and then you will find that maybe the the process of bringing things from your head out as an output is a little bit more it is a little not a little but I would say if enough times I would say it would drastically substantially change the way that you use the language all the best [Applause] Washington offer US federal job conratulations really like oh thank you so much for sharing this with us thank you it means the world to us it thank you and all the best you best of luck I know you're going to do it I know you're doing it well already I'm just someone you met along the way and thank you for stopping by thank you for letting us know it it means the world to us really I'm super grateful [Music] and okay interesting enjoyed it yeah I think that would be the key for me if I can say anything at all of course there there's so many techniques that you can use there's so many like brain studies um uh tricks and tips that I can share with you and I would love to and I'm doing it every single day but if there's anything the one key thing that helped me a whole lot is that I enjoy the process I think that's that's the the key enjoy the process enjoy the process yeah I think that's so important because when you feel like it's something it's more of it's more of a work and you focus on it as a destination rather than the journey it becomes more overwhelming I think it becomes more like when am I going to get the results that I want when when when when when I'm not seeing it I'm not seeing it yet when am I going to reach the goal all these things when I don't enjoy the process I tend to give up very easily and that's what so many things I I I I think I gave up but um with English I think the key was me enjoying listening to something watching cool videos on YouTube even though I don't understand a 100% of everything that an American say or a YouTuber talks about I don't I couldn't understand everything I think I would understand like 40% 50% of what they say right but I enjoyed it I think it was funny and I didn't even know why it's funny but it's like oh I laughed along and then because they were so cool how I start learning English until today is that because they were so cool I try to imitate what they said or maybe I and I also love watching movies um I love watching movies again and again and again many many times and I try to imitate the the lines the things that I learn from the movies and I try to say it out sometimes I will be having a conversation with myself in the shower during or maybe during my on my way commuting to other places something like that but I like the process come it becomes more of a of something that I didn't feel like I was too focus on when am I going to be good at it I was focusing on like this is so cool that I learned another thing I think that's that's help me a lot responsibility it's it's not a destination to arrive to it's more of a journey that I enjoy [Music] first time watching thank you for stopping by [Music] yay I have no topic to talk with myself and that is a great question I'm not sure if it's even a question but uh actually you can go to Google and then you can type there two ways to do this you can actually Google topics speaking topics to practice English topics speaking topics are topics to practice English speaking for speaking list.com il.com for speaking talk discussion part one one descri if you want to describe about your work what can you say what are the talking points if you talk about the study these are the things that you could talk about okay okay cany ask another question before yeah wait let me try to find let me try to find your question I couldn't find it but I'm gonna I'm going to answer the latest questions you sent could Paul see how can we balance between input and output because we live and work with high people I understand 100% um and that is that is indeed a challenge right but the thing is because we can't wait for for opportunity to arrive to us for us to practice so we must create the situation for us to use English and by that I would say um if if there's anything I I think this really applies what I thought and what I've always been teaching you all is that what I just learned from this book The Power of output so what we try to do is that in your own private time you might receive enough input already you want to make it more output this time um in out and we don't wait we can't wait for the opportun to come for you to like if you wait for external opportunities to come in it's not in your control right so what you want to do is do something under your own control is to let's say I want to um talk about my day every single day five for five minutes I'm going to talk about today I had meeting with a client they were very nice they're very happy with the solution I offer personal connection when you can't think of the word to say you search it right away I couldn't think and then it comes up and then that's the way that you learn best you don't you could learn through reciting words and trying to memorize ing words but when are you going to use it you search it right away that's a way to go because you actually use the output you gain right away so if if you have time you want to start thinking how can I make this if I have 10 minutes I'm going to spend if I have 10 minutes I'm going to spend three minutes to do the input and seven minutes to do the output and that's the way to go rehearse it like you're going going to use it but free of judgment the best way to do it is to rehearse it you want to like rehearse list all write down the script you do that we all do it yeah we write down the script maybe just an outline hello may I speak to hi I would like to inform you I have send the [Music] quotation record yeah you want to maybe prepare the script or whatever and then you rehearse it yeah and then you record it and then you feedback yourself or evaluate what you did well what did you you didn't do well you prepare what you're going to say you rehearse what you got saying it you record what you said and then you evaluate it see so prepare what you're gonna say rehearse it as many times as you like record what you said and evaluate okay we're goodan we're very good very good we're good we're good okay we're good all good good [Music] okay okay oh consistency is key that's right confir Rose oh con Justin I'm a native English speaker learning to speak Tai thank you for learning Tai that's impressive Tai is probably one of the most difficult if not the most difficult uh language there is I think in my opinion my self-discipline for scheduling and keeping a time oh it often slips I feel I feel you I feel you totally totally but I hope I hope some of the techniques sharing today may be helpful um I'm struggling with it myself as well I'm trying to be a little bit more disciplined with learning as well J I'm using this channel for listening to practice even though my tie is still horrible but I'm happy that you find something useful on here it's become something that is beyond your comfort zone yeah so definitely is something that it's beyond your comfort zone we're not used to it so something that I think could help is to use like an application so is to actually take a baby step first baby step Sam and baby St you could use tool to help [Music] you Elsa speak Elsa speak for take baby steps P our loveliest facilitator once again I'm still struggling to speak English in front of the camera even though I can talk to for I know you're you're you're basically like um a native speaker I would say um I think it takes a different set of skills I think it's not just the English p p I think it's it's it's public speaking maybe you know it's public speaking um and but it's wors the same way it actually requires more practice Yeah so I would say if you just count the number of times you do it and the first I would say the first 50 times that you're doing it it's not going to look as natural it's not going to look as like effortless as you want to but keep counting I would say keep counting I would say 50 times after 50 times you will start to feel like I'm getting this now because you've been talking to like foreigners or like farang like for of course for years right and that's become like a skill but talking in front of the camera is another set of skill you're talking practically with no one but because you do it enough time you start imagining I start imagining people actually sitting behind the camera right now something like that you start seeing people in the camera it's gonna feel really awkward at first but enough time you start imagining this you it it started to become a skill you got this [Music] okay struggle the biggest struggle is not being able to think of the word to say right but if for brain power great summary okay enjoy the process P greetings from Thailand oh lucky you y welcome oh I feel you could kind I you understand English but you don't know how to make up your my own sentences I that is why you understand it but because it doesn't convert into output enough time it started to become like oh I understand it I I've seen it before I've heard it before I know it I know it but when I have to speak I couldn't think of it right and that the thing that actually is help you a whole lot is that whenever you get the input turn it to Output right away yeah so far so good thank you for stopping by oh I had experienced joining a job interview with okay Singapore okay hard to communicate I understand because it's it's another it's another game because it's for a job interview it's another level you need to be professional you need to choose the words wisely you need to be your best self your best professional self um if there's anything I can help you with actually on the channel um there are some tricks and trips on job interview interview interview okay I think so because I feel the same I know I know I know yes yes yes but I I think this is for your case p a because I think once you master the skill of speaking in front of the camera whether it's in Thai or whether it's in English it doesn't matter anymore you just you just know how to do it you're just going to do it with car Charisma charisma H because it's another set of skills once acquired you're
