PUSHING THE LIMITS - Winter Camping In a BLIZZARD using a DIY Travel Trailer with a Woodstove

[Music] [Music] [Music] go sliding backwards [Music] here [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] I [Music] [Music] [Music] all [Music] for [Music] [Music] right well yesterday was a long day getting everything set up for Camp that I wasn't able to do the night before when I arrived so among those CHS was cutting firewood and I got to that by the end of the day and I was just dragging the firewood back to Camp it really uh started snowing so I decided to come in here and um take a little break thought I would just maybe uh have a beer and relax a little bit then I got way too comfortable I just decided to hunker down for the night so there's no way I get to this location without chains for my tires these snow chains I got them from Canadian chains you can see them at Canadian chains.com needed and I needed all four of them my back tires and my front tires on the truck to actually claw my way up this incline which is about an 8° incline to get up to this location and I'm in the middle of nowhere so if I can't get back on my own I don't know what I'm going to do I have my winch so I'm pretty confident that I have enough recovery Gear with the trees around that I will be able to haul my way out of here one way or another but I'm hoping not have to do that so you'll have to wait till the end of the video to see how I do [Music] you [Music] [Music] for [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] f [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] it's I simmered the stew over the fire outside because I planned on staying out there and enjoying it as I was making the fire and cutting the firewood the temperature was comfortable it wasn't really that cold and it was fairly calm so I got my head that I was going to uh get the stew started inside here here simmer it over fire and just enjoy um the campfire outside of course Mother Nature had different plans for me so as the stew was simmering out there the wind picked up just howling it's still howling and uh in fact I'm starting to think that I should probably try to leave tomorrow and um that way if it takes me a full day to drag myself out of here um I'll have another night I might even for the first time tow Eddie with the chimney still attached in case I um in case I get stuck and I need to stay where I am so we'll see what the morning brings but right now just going to enjoy this stew it's my uh classic recipe it's nothing fancy but um some venison that uh I got this fall and then sit back and just enjoy the rest of the night I certainly would be lying if I said I wasn't a little concerned about getting out of here this is not a serviced Road this is a abandoned Forest Road there's a few Cottages down in One Direction but they're seasonal so there's no snow plows this is basically a snowmobile route in the wintertime was hoping to get here before the snow accumulated too much and as you can see I obviously got in here but there's been a lot of snow overnight so um I'm going to actually take my truck and see if I can get out of here just with the truck that'll make me feel a little bit better getting the trailer out of here [Music] [Music] [Music] oh I haven't seen anyone the entire time I've been here just getting ready to leave and of course three snow beers show up they're cut through here and I don't know what it did for my confidence because one of them got stuck in the snow so it's time to give it a try and we'll see how we do [Music] well I got down the Logging Road and I'm at a paved section of Highway going to take my chains off and put away my recovery gear cuz I didn't need it hope you enjoyed the video we got another one of the books cheers
