shall become of the child so Jerry bonds wife did so the rose went to Shiloh came to the house of a high G but a high G could not see for his eyes were set a reason of his age and the Lord said unto a hide behold the wife of Jeroboam cometh to ask a thing of V for her son for he is sick thus and thus shalt thou say unto her for it shall be when she cometh in that she shall fain herself to be another one father I thank you you told us to open the book so we have we ask that you would grant us entrance into revelation and understanding and defy your people strengthen the hand of the man of name Amen you may be seated behold the wife of jeroboam cometh to ask a thing of thee for her son for his sick thus and thus shalt thou say unto her for it shall be when she cometh in that she shall fain herself to be another one for a few moments out of the word of the Lord I'd like to minister to you tonight from this subject why be somebody else here in the word of the Lord particularly this book out of which we Minister called the Book of Kings it's a fascinating book for me it started out as just in the devotional read and went from a devotional read into a study there was a difference between reading the word and studying the word I found out that the average Christian thinks that because they can pronounce or they know the definition and/or the revelation of the word sometimes we can announce because we can enunciate Scripture we take it upon ourselves or I know that you ask the average Saint what does justification me well it's something like you see cuz my Sunday school teacher my Christian education to you my pastor said well you got to go through all that you don't know it what does what is the definition of propitiation well let's see a pro so that means it's positive there's something positive a positive effect these are usually words that when we come across in the scripture if we don't enunciate them properly we have a tendency to skip over them and it changes or could change the entire outlook upon that particular text after you enunciate please make sure you get definition but don't stop at definition get revelation many people I found out got definition but they don't have revelation and that's why they hold God in contempt they say God said something in his word and they said he's not doing it in my life but really the word didn't say he would do that but because they interpret it the way they wanted to they made it to say rather than letting the word speak for itself with divine revelation so in studying the Book of Kings I found very fascinating that it shares with us information particularly about three positions that God would later use to show four of his power in authority he uses prophet priest and King you'll see in the book of the Kings that one person can hold more than one office but rarely does one person holds all three of these offices now there is one gentleman in this book who holds three offices it is not prophet priest and King but rather in his prophet priest and judge his name is Samuel Samuel is a Trinity the transition man you get a chance to see him in his early days God is shifting from one house the house of Eli shifting to a new house Samuel is there it's transitioned as Israel moves from judge into kingship samuel is there he's in transition when God moves from the house of Saul to the house of David he's a transitional man and at some times transitional people can be quite lonely one of the reasons is is because God uses them they're very palatable if you look at them their lives are very such that they can be meshed into many groups but though they can they're they they're floaters sort of they can float in and out of certain groups yet there there is no strong don't there's no strong definition to them as far as which group there are a part of and sometimes people misunderstand them because some people say they're not loyal other people will look at them and some people say they might have loyalty but but but you got to be careful because I'm sure if they really like you or not yeah and then while other people question their likability you've got other people that question whether or not they have the fortitude to move forward it is transitional people that that that usually we like to call them gap dwellers they they learn to stand in the gap until God put somebody else where they're supposed to be it is this Samuel Samuel gets used by God he's used to anoint prophet priest and King I found very interesting that the Prophet the priest and the King they the Prophet his responsibility is to say what thus saith the Lord he's never to speak his own word he's never to assume the Prophet never says I think the Prophet never says some told me the Prophet never says I got a feeling the Prophet was only to speak when he had a sure defined word from the Lord and he was supposed to say thus saith the law according to the scripture according to the Newton the Old Testament and even prophets in the New Testament known as agamous uh when God gave the prophets something to say he was just supposed to say thus saith the law the scripture teaches us in the Old Testament that if a prophet says thus saith the Lord and the Lord hath not said the scripture says believe him not again you don't get a second chance to lie on God there's another scripture that says if the Prophet said the Lord said and the LORD hath not seen the scripture says take that prophet outside the city pick up some stones the next time somebody come to you Tom but they got a word from the Lord just grab a buoy [Applause] when they ask you what that brick
