The buildup in Korea for this has been pretty big since he announced this April 1st. A 100k person concert in World Cup stadium to premiere the video. Pretty big buildup. He was 'flying' around the stadium on a wire system singing to the whole audience. He cried several times thanking everyone for the support and promised to store that memory as he toured the US, Europe and Asia for the next 3 months. Psy is a real ass dude who mocks rather than exudes the fake, materialistic Korean culture he comes from. There couldn't be a better Korean for all this success to fall on, and quite a good representative for his country. These guys love him for his giving back (MANY) free concerts in Korea.

Also, this girl is Son Ga-in, she's from the kpop girl group Brown Eyed Girls. The chorus dance is also borrowed from Brown Eyed Girl's Abracadabra, which is called the “Arrogant dance".
