hey what's up guys collector John here hope everyone's doing well today I wanted to talk a little bit about the PlayStation 4 because I think it's safe to say that at this point the PlayStation 4 is in the uh it's in the valley it is in the price Valley in terms of the the value of PlayStation 4 games currently and I want to show you a few of my recent PlayStation 4 pickups that I think kind of demonstrate that point um I just don't feel like I've ever seen PlayStation 4 games this cheap before and it doesn't seem like they can really get much cheaper than they already are and I think you can really attribute that to the PlayStation 5 being out for a few years now it's readily available anyone can get one and on top of that a lot of classic PlayStation 4 games are also readily available on PlayStation Plus extra but even with a lot of these games available on that service I still want to build a library of physical PlayStation 4 games because I love physical collecting and services like PlayStation Plus extra are great um but there's no guarantee that those games will be on there forever and I do love the PlayStation 4 I bought one in 2015 when bloodborne came out it was an amazing day um I still remember going over to my friend's house that weekend and bringing my PlayStation 4 and we all just played bloodborne on our PlayStation 4 it was freaking awesome so I have this big stack of PlayStation 4 games that I picked up a few days ago I'm going to show you guys and uh after that I think we're going to go to uh the Mega Media Exchange in Brookfield Wisconsin and uh we're going to see if we can't find any more good PS4 deals there I feel like we might be able to find some good stuff so that's what we're going to do it should be a pretty chill and fun video but without further Ado let's get into it let's get into it so we're going to go through these recent PlayStation 4 pickups uh like I said they're all from a local game store um they all priced really well and then on top of that they all 25% off so um the price on the sticker is not what I actually paid I actually paid less than what's on the sticker um but yeah let's get into these starting with Resident Evil 7 biohazard I love the Resident Evil series I actually rented this on GameFly back when it came out uh cuz I was poor back in those days I didn't really have the funds to buy full price games so I've never owned a physical copy of it and this game is available on PlayStation Plus extra I think uh but like I said I just really want to own physical copies of these play PlayStation 4 games that I want to play um so yeah this was $8 plus the discount which I think is really a good price for this game um there's no manual in here I don't know if this came with a manual but uh the disc I think is looking totally fine it's got some smudges on it but that'll be that'll be okay this game isn't my favorite Resident Evil game or anything it's really really good I just feel like uh even eight or two remake I like both of those more than this in terms of like recent Resident Evil games that have came out uh yeah for remake also four remake is freaking incredible um but this is one that I just I think I'm going to want to replay this at some point so yeah great to have a physical copy in the collection speaking of Resident Evil 4 here's uh Resident Evil 4 obviously this is not the Remake and I at this point I don't even know how many different copies of Resident Evil 4 I have I think I have I have the original GameCube version uh I think I have a copy on Steam um I have the Remake obviously but I just thought it'd be cool to have this version on the PS4 if I ever want to play it on my big TV and not the GameCube version on my CRT over here or on my computer monitor uh this is just a good thing to have cuz you know it's a classic it's good to go back to it sometimes even though the Remake is you know Superior in pretty much every way sometimes it's fun to just go back and play the old version so yeah happy to have this one in the collection as well next up we have Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus I played this game back when it came out I really really liked it I think in terms of like narrative driven firstperson Shooters uh this is probably one of the best one of those that has come out in some time I I don't feel like anything has really topped this since this one came out this game and the first one are both freaking fantastic I don't have the one yet that's definitely pretty high in the list um but yeah I I haven't played this since 2017 I feel like it's probably time to replay it pretty soon uh so yeah another cool one to have really excited to play this again and then we have the Last of Us Part Two they had it there for $12 plus the 25% discount I feel like that's really really solid for this game right now so I actually sold my copy of the last was part two to GameStop a few months ago uh they were running a tradein promotion towards tiers of the kingdom and they were giving people $25 for this game and I was like yeah I'll sell that for $25 and then I'll probably find it for way cheaper keeper somewhere like a couple months down the line uh that ended up being exactly what happened so you know after the discount I spent like $8 for this copy of last W part two and actually really have been itching to play this one again I know this is kind of a divisive game but I really love lastas part two I think it's a pretty incredible game probably the best stealth Action game since midle Gear Solid 5 then we got Tekken 7 uh this one doesn't have a price take on it but I think it was $6 before the discount and I've never had a physical copy of this I've played this game with my friends and I thought it was really fun uh I think the story mode seems like it'd be a cool thing to m with so I'm probably going to mess around with this at some point play some of that story mode I don't think I'm going to mess with the online at all I'm just not into uh competitive fighting games at all I'm not good at them I don't think anybody would have fun playing against me because I'm terrible uh it's just something that I you know it's just fun to mess around with so yeah that'll be fun and then we got Doom uh I think there's probably some varied opinions on whether this game is better on PC or console I do feel like it was designed to be um easily approachable on consoles and I actually play played this originally on the PlayStation 4 and it feels really good to play on a controller I know these like classic first- person shooters do feel better with mouse and keyboard but I thought playing it on a controller felt really good so I'm I'm excited to play it that way again on my big TV and uh yeah Doom 2016 is freaking awesome so really good game and I also picked up a couple PS5 games when I was at this store they had two of them there that were just priced really well and I couldn't pass them up uh and one of those was death Loop which they had for $8 plus the discount uh this game I want to give it another chance I played it on uh PC game pass back when they put it on Game Pass a while ago and I I wasn't crazy about it but I feel like I also had there's like other stuff at the time that I was more interested in playing so I kind of just fell off of it I do love Arcane I love immersive Sims I think prey is really amazing I love Dishonored uh this one just wasn't really clicking with me but I do want to try it again very soon and we'll see uh maybe it'll work for me this time I don't know we'll see and then for $12 they had Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga this is one that I've been wanting to check out for a while uh I think playing it with my girlfriend would be really fun and uh yeah it's $12 plus 25% discount that was really hard to pass up uh from the screenshots I've seen on the PS5 this is just like an amazing looking Lego game uh so I'm really excited to play some of this and uh see what it's all about cuz Lego Star Wars is cool oh yeah I almost forgot I had this one in the other room but I got disco elisium the Final Cut as well I freaking love this game I played it on PC when it came out I really wanted to have this physical copy of it which has the free PS5 upgrade it also has a cool poster in here that I don't really want to unfold but it looks really cool yeah this game's freaking awesome if you haven't played Disco leum I highly recommend it it's an amazing uh text based role playing game I have this illustration of Kim kitsuragi over here cuz I think he's one of the best characters in gaming of the last few years uh yeah highly recommend disco elium it's freaking awesome so yeah here's my stack of PlayStation games that I picked up at the Mega Media Exchange in Franklin after tax and discount I spent about $55 in these which I think is really good uh I'm going to throw up the price charting numbers on the screen here just so we can see that comparison I grabbed a couple other things from that same game store that I'm going to show you guys really quick just for fun I know this is a PlayStation themed video but I'm going to show you guys some other stuff too cuz I can it's my channel I can do whatever I want uh yeah so they had two alienaliens games for the Xbox 360 that I've really been wanting to put in the collection uh Alien Isolation asomo Edition they had it for $9 plus the 25% discount uh by far the best price that I've seen for this game so I couldn't pass it up uh even though I don't think I'm actually going to play this version all the way through I just really want to see what it looks like on the Xbox 360 uh I want to play it on my CR over here and see what that looks like it's probably going to look terrible but I don't know I just think it's really interesting that this game came out on the 360 it was like a really late life cycle uh 360 PS3 game so I I've always just been curious about what it looked like and uh I think for the6 OR7 that I paid for this it finally seemed worth it so we grabbed alien isolation asomo Edition and I also got Aliens colonial Marines for $7 plus the discount uh this is a game that I think a lot of people really hated when it came out but I've always wanted to check it out uh anything with like the alien or alien's name on it I definitely want to see what it's all about uh so yeah excited to finally have this in the collection we're going to play some aliens colonial Marines very soon and then I also grabbed a couple Wii games which I don't normally do I don't normally collect for the Wii but there are a few uh Wii games that I still want to add to the collection and these two have been on my list so we grabbed Pikman uh they had it there for $20 so it's a lot cheaper than the GameCube version and I think this version of Pikmin is actually like the best version based on what people say it seems like the weote controls actually work extremely well for this game and uh yeah this is just like it seems like this might be the version to actually play for Pikmin and last but not least I grabbed House of the Dead 2 and three return uh the Wii is a really good console for light gun games there are a lot of great light gun games on the Wii and I have a few of them I have the Dead Space one I have those two Resident Evil ones uh but this one has been Elusive and I finally found it at a game store for a good price so again after the discount this would have been $15 which I think is a good price for this one as well so yeah really excited to add both of these Wii games to the collection for a a couple pretty good prices but now I think it's time to head to uh Mega Media Exchange in Brookfield Wisconsin again all of these games that I just showed you were for the Mega Media Exchange in Franklin and we're going to the one in Brookfield it's not confusing at all it's probably going to get dark out here pretty soon uh but that's okay we'll just do some game hunting by night should be a Vibe let's get into it it's freaking cold out there dude uh yeah the beard is gone uh it's been a whole week since I filmed that last part I just haven't had time to actually make it to the game store uh so there's no cont Duty here I look entirely different I might as well be a different person but uh I'm digging the stash you know I'm a mustache man yeah it's time to hit up the Brookfield Mega Media exchange we're going to be looking for some PS4 games and uh probably some other stuff too I'm going in there with a pretty small budget today like 50 bucks uh just a lot of Christmas shopping and stuff so I don't have a ton to spend on this video today but I'm hoping we can find some sheap PS4 games and uh should be pretty fun so let's hit [Music] it [Music] all righty here we are in Mega Media exchange since this is a PS4 video we're going to start off here in the PS4 section and right off the bat I spotted this copy of No Man's Sky they had it here for $20 and that would eat up a lot of our budget but I have been really wanting to add this one to the collection uh so we might end up grabbing this depending on what else we find it would be really cool to have no man's Sky they also had a copy of Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition which uh this is pretty cool I mean you saw that I just literally just bought this game for a much cheaper price uh but this does come with all of the uh DLC um so that's kind of neat but I don't know just doesn't seem worth it to me right now and here's another thing that doesn't seem worth it is a $50 for Prototype biohazard bundle uh I'm not sure what this usually goes for but $50 does seem like kind of a lot for an HD Collection I know sometimes these HD collections go for more than you'd think but uh not something that I'm going to pick up today I was intrigued by this uh limited Collector's Edition version of The Surge 2 um this isn't really a game that I I I'm even that fond of I think I played some of the first one and I just kind of thought it was fine uh but it has this cool like lenticular cover and I don't know $20 for collector's edition of any game is kind of neat so I don't know depending on what else we find I might pick this one up it is a pretty cool little collector's edition they had a bunch of tales of games here they had Tales of Asperia Tales of zesteria and tales of arise I'm not familiar with this series at all Beyond Tales of Symphonia for the GameCube which I freaking loved back in the day so it might be fun to play some of these I don't know I'm really uh sometimes just the length of these jrpgs is really daunting for me and it's hard for me to get into them um I don't know but it would be cool to have these in the collection I don't know if I'm going to pick them up today but uh yeah definitely very intriguing and then down here I saw they had a bunch of copies of Wolfenstein 2o which you know you saw that I just bought this but I wanted to look through and see if maybe the first game was hiding in here somewhere and uh no it was just eight copies of Wolfenstein 2 which is kind of weird I would expect them to have the first one as well and yeah so far I haven't found a ton in this PS4 section that's really been grabbing me but then I saw this copy of Guilty Gear xerd Revelator uh and this is pretty cool I like the Guilty Gear series a lot I haven't really played any of the newer ones I've mostly just played the older ones uh so this might be a really cool one to pick up I I feel like $12 is a decent price for it so uh yeah I feel like we're going to have to walk away with this one today I noticed they had a copy of shadow of War for $5 which is pretty cool I would like to own this one and Shadow of Mordor on the PS4 it's kind of a bummer that they don't have uh PS5 upgrades for them they still run at 30 FPS I still think both of these games would be fun to have in the collection and yes they did have Shadow of Mordor here as well um unfortunately it was $10 I feel like if both of these were five I would have just grabbed them both but uh in the end I didn't end up grabbing either of them so maybe next time when uh I can get both of them for around $10 we'll pick those up and then down on the lower shelf here they had nuni 2 revant Kingdom and I was surprised to see that they had it for $7 I feel like it usually goes for a little more than that I love the first nuni game I played it back when it came out on the PlayStation 3 and I've never checked out the second one so this might be a good pickup for today as well couple more interesting finds over here they had dead r ring which I I actually had no idea that they even remade this for the PS4 uh this would be really cool I I do feel like if I was going to play Dead Rising i' just play it on the 360 again so uh we might leave that one behind but they also had biom mutant for $12 I'm really intrigued by this game it just seems like a weird kind of like B tier open world game which honestly sounds kind of cool to me he plays this weird little cat Fox thing I don't know if you've played this game let me know I've heard some mixed thoughts on it but uh it's always just looked cool to me so that's pretty much it for the PS4 section I wanted to check out the PS5 stuff as well well wasn't really seeing anything that was grabbing me I saw they had death Loop here for uh more than twice what I paid at the other Mega Media exchange so I guess that was a score I don't know feels like death Loop usually goes for a lot more than like five or six bucks all right since we're here I guess we got to check out the Xbox 360 section if youve watched my channel before you know that I love the freaking Xbox 360 and the original Xbox and I immediately noticed this Rogue PS4 game on the bottom shelf here Five Nights at Freddy's security breach I think I might have actually sold this to them I think I got this in a lot that I bought and I didn't want it um so yeah this might be the copy that I sold to them I'm not totally sure either way I'm uh I'm not going to buy it again I literally just got rid of it I'm pretty sure I also sold them this copy of condemned uh but that's that's fine whatever uh also they had Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 uh this is one that I want in the collection I'm not going to pay $20 for it today but uh one of these days I'll grab that one they had a couple Earth Defense Force games I don't have any of these and I I really want at least one of them for the Xbox 360 collection so that might be a good one at $6 I noticed they had another one here for 18 uh not sure if I'll pick up either of these today but still pretty cool to see um I'm I'm very interested in this series I noticed they had a copy of Clive Barker's Jericho here which uh I have this on the PS3 but I I feel like I'd just rather have the 360 version um so I might end up selling my PS3 version and getting this version instead um again not an expensive game at all but we're already getting over the budget here so I don't know if we're going to get that today uh speaking of budget I we're about to go over the budget because I really want this copy of Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth 2 I've been really wanting this game for a while people in the comments have been telling me that I should play it and uh it just looks really cool uh so man I don't know $20 isn't the best price but this just isn't one that I ever see at game stores and I prefer buying at game stores over eBay so I don't know man we might have to grab this one too and you know I have to check out the original Xbox section because it's my favorite console uh wasn't really seeing a ton here today I noticed they had a Halo 2 steelbook for 14 which I I think 14 for a Halo 2 steelbook now is pretty decent of course I already have this so I'm not going to pick it up today but uh still a cool thing to see oh man and then I noticed they had Burnout Revenge for uh $6 which I I feel like that's the cheapest I've ever seen it at a game store and this is one of the burnout games that I don't have so yeah man I didn't come here to buy Xbox and Xbox 360 games but it seems like uh that's where this is going yeah I don't know going to be tough to leave without grabbing this one and last but not least we got to check out the glass case just for funsies I apologize for all the Reflections in this footage uh they had biomutant for $40 a bio mutant collector's edition pretty cool pretty cheap Collector's Edition that's cool uh here's a slightly less cheap Collector's Edition that's freaking awesome this zone of the Enders HD collection for the Xbox 360 I would absolutely love to have this in the collection I think it's so cool uh I don't really have $70 to spend on it today but um this would be really really cool thing to have uh definitely a Grail item uh for me I think that's just awesome they had some more pricey Xbox 360 games over here including these mispriced uh Need For Speed Most Wanted games uh the most wanted from 2005 is the pricey one this was the reboot which is a that's a cheap game and then before we leave of course we need to see if they have any good PS4 games here in the glass case uh and they had some interesting stuff nothing that I'm going to pick up today um yeah I don't know nothing that I'm really that interested in the thing that I'm probably the most interested in was this Final Fantasy 7 uh deluxe edition but again I just don't really have $50 to drop on that today even though it's pretty cool I'm not going to be grabbing any of these uh prici your PS4 games all right we're back in the collector John Corolla and uh yeah we grabbed a few things in there uh went over the budget as we do here on collector John uh I had a $50 budget and I think I spent $68 um but we got some cool stuff so it's okay and it's Christmas time I can spend as much money as I want and uh not feel bad about it cuz that's how holiday consumerism works oh yeah so we picked up nuni 2 Revenant Kingdom I've never played this game I like the first one a lot and uh I felt like $7 was a really good price for it so uh yeah good one to add to the collection I'm sure at some point I'll check it out it's really freaking long I'm sure uh but again I like that first game a lot so I just want to see what this followup is all about and then we grab no man sky for $20 uh $20 seems like kind of a lot for this game but they've been supporting it so much it doesn't really surprise me that uh the physical version of this game is Hell its value so well um yeah I'm pretty sure it has a free PS5 upgrade it has all of these free updates that they've done to it so uh $20 might actually be a steal for this one as far as I'm concerned I'm one of the people who played this game at launch and then I haven't really touched it since then so I'm sure that it's going to be a lot better now than it was uh back in 2016 and then we got Guilty Gear exert Revelator uh yeah this was 12 bucks and uh feels like there's a pretty uh beefy manual in there so that's cool I'm sure that there's a lot of uh information on how to play this game to go over if you want to be good at it I'm I'm not going to be good at it so I'm not I'm not going to read the manual Guilty Gear games are sick though I like just playing the single player arcade mode or playing with my girlfriend and uh I think this is one of the 2.5d ones where like it looks like it's 2D but then the camera kind of pans around and it's goes 3D uh and that always looks so cool to me and I I haven't played a single one of these games with that uh graphic style so I think this will be really cool to check out and just a cool game to have in the collection then we got Burnout Revenge for the Xbox I couldn't pass on it for $6 I don't think I'll ever see it for $6 or less ever again so it was time to pull the trigger uh I love Burnout 3 um and I haven't really played any of the other burnout games on the original XO box so I thought now would be the time to pick this one up and check it out and uh yeah should be pretty fun and last but not least this was the one that I splurged on that I probably shouldn't have bought but I did it anyway uh we got the battle for middlee 2 a Lord of the Rings video game for the Xbox 360 all I know about this game is that it's kind of an RTS and uh it seems like it actually controls really well on the Xbox 360s despite the fact that uh realtime strategy games don't often control very well on consoles uh it seems like people really like this one when it came out um and I love anything Lord of the Rings if it's like a halfway decent Lord of the Rings game I'll probably enjoy it so I'm really excited to play this on the Xbox 360 and uh see uh what the units look like because that's all I really care about I just want to look at some cool Lord of the Rings units in a if it's in a real-time strategy game I don't know I don't know what I'm talking about this lighting is terrible I look like a weird freak so yeah that's the haul again I spent $68 so maybe not the best uh demonstration of cheap PS4 games because most of these PS4 games were a little pricier uh I guess nuni too that one was a really good price but um these other ones were kind of Fairly average um but who can put a price on hours and hours of fun on the PlayStation 4 yeah I know you can't there's it's Priceless you can't put a price on Joy that's what I like to say this this holiday season you uh you can't put a price on the joy of the holidays with the PlayStation 4 what what am I what is this bit I don't know I even know what's going on anymore uh guys thanks so much for joining me for this video I really appreciate you all watching and uh chilling with me today talking about some PS4 games and yeah I'm really hoping I can get this one out before Christmas um but if not I'm sorry uh and we'll see you guys after the New Year probably but hopefully this video comes out before uh December 25th I think we can do it I think we can get this one out it's uh December 18th right now so I have a whole week to finish editing it I can do it I can get this one out we're going to do it uh happy holidays Merry Christmas and uh thank you so much for watching we'll see you guys next year appreciate you I'm collector John we'll see you guys in the next one
