welcome to the pros guide to tactical shooting the displayed ambush and extraction scenario is modified for the purpose of filming so some SOP deviations are to be expected nonetheless the techniques methods and tactics underlying the demonstration are commonly used by Special Forces operatives and protection services first lesson VIP security and varying cover when encountering any threat it's imperative to respond with violence of action this offense is the first step in your mission to protect the VIP when the initial threat has been addressed the next step is to extract the VIP from the vehicle since shock and stress are working against you use loud and clear instructions to make sure that the VIP is cooperative removing anything that might hinder the movement of the VIP with all the different elements a barricade providing cover handling of a VIP muzzle awareness and threat engagement this is a complex drill to master start by using your grip and your elbows to control the desired movement of the VIP making sure you establish a stable safe and dominant position here with the VIP and low cover between the operator's feet you can now control and protect and address further threats it's important to achieve or is known as a point of domination here we can address the threat while waiting for the extraction vehicle to arrive when in the field we can expect to find different points of cover and concealment to this end we must make sure we are able to shoot around any angle height or obstacle we might encounter and use it to our best advantage using what is known as a v-tach barricade this simple and effective tool is a good way to approach the variability of obstacles you will encounter on the field when reloading always remember to use cover even those obstacles might only provide concealment it's important to limit your exposure to enemy fire when reloading or manipulating your weapon it's harder to be hit if you're not seen use the barricade to its full potential its various cuts holes and angles provide many training opportunity I will prepare you for what might come your way on the field the extraction vehicle will approach depending on the situation in this scenario it stops parallel to the first vehicle which now provides additional cover and concealment and easy access to the operators while the second operator is providing fire support or if the threat has been eliminated scanning for new threats the first operator must quickly move the VIP to the extraction vehicle providing additional safety with your own body use your elbow to keep the VIP low to the ground while positioning yourself on top when reaching the vehicle there is no room for niceties your mission is to get the VIP in the vehicle as fast as possible in any way possible with the VIP now safe the extraction vehicle must quickly move out of the kill zone and it is saved this concludes today's lesson operator stay safe train like you fight and remember limits are a mindset you
