in the world are you my name is Robbie I'm 26 I'm from Ireland originally right living in Sydney my neck of the woods kind of and uh I work as a professional jockey excuse me wow I work as a jockey I ride horses for a living so wow I work as a professional jockey you know it's a very difficult job early hours very stressful you need to be light strong and Fit I only wear like 50 kilo so I'm pretty like probably the size of a you know a small steak but I think I've won over 200 races now so not too bad [Music] the group one winning jockey [Applause] [Music] I love working as jockey you know it's everything I dreamed of when I was growing up but I've been more passionate about music my whole life I just never really pursued it because I went a different path you know [Music] I've always been singing in the car on the way to the races and in the shower but this would be the biggest place I've ever sang so uh walking out onto the stage tonight I'm not too sure if I can even sing well enough for something like this [Music] I don't know anything technical about music I just know that I love singing it's definitely from the heart he always sounds like you can sing to yourself now we'll find out what I can sing tonight love horses me too I love them I find them so amazing oh my gosh we already have so much in common nice one how did you get into that uh just family background you know it's in the blood grandparents into the racing and you know if I didn't be a jockey I wouldn't know what I'd be to be honest I know where you'd be you'd be a singer yeah that's why we're here isn't it oh wow and singing when did that kind of take over or did you know a long time ago you could say um you know I've always been passionate about singing But like singing in the shower and stuff that's all I really do um like I don't know anything about music and or nothing are you kidding yeah and then I just you know I'm here now so this is crazy but um when did you like when did you know that you could do that uh last week at the um crazy the fact that you haven't got a clue how good you are is probably the reason why everybody watching is falling in love with you every time you speak to that microphone the vulnerability of it all and kind of the naiveness is like the coolest part of it all you're creating a whole new book for the voice for people that had no idea that they could actually hold a note and they were just like a jockey to now be on The Voice Robbie you know you like you just killed that before thanks very much you just killed that performance you just ate it all up thanks very much like your runs are insane brother um like what that means well thanks a million your runs meaning yeah not the race not in the race that's a run thanks you say like you don't know anything about music but you do you do know everything about music because it's a Feeling it's emotion and the way you just tackled that was all your story brother so you do know music thanks so I I would I would love to have you thanks very much I love the fact that you're just so raw with what you were you're singing and your talent is and and the fact that it we when when Jess said you had great runs that you were thinking about your lap times around the track probably more than but you're just a natural singer with a such a natural unique voice the only reason I didn't turn is I know the people I got in my stable if you will and I know who these guys are looking for it's true are looking for and I want you to land in a great home and you've got three amazing choices right there Robbie thanks very good brother did you feel what the room felt at the very beginning absolutely because because that that doesn't happen every audition but if I'm being honest there are some great singers in this competition and they will not just Trot they will Gallop you know I feel like did you say Gallup yeah as in end up finishing a song where they go Full Steam and and I feel because you're so green and this is something new for you you need a coach that will tap into some other areas with your voice and explore certain things to get to that next gear which I believe you need to to get further in this competition I swear you're about to say you reckon you could whip him into shape it was just I was waiting for it it was on his iPhone there looking at this horse racing times yeah but but I I love what you do it's natural that's what this show's about it's about just finding people who actually don't even know how good they are and and you discovering that through this process so thank you we can do that now we got we can do that you know I'm really ready to just get involved with you and teach you things like what a run is or what key changes you know I actually already taught me about Runway yes that's true but also you have to come on my team you have to be on my team does he have to yes you've got to make a choice mate you've got three great coaches two please please [Applause] walked in and saw Ellen Sienna it was just like oh no game over it's two against one maybe Rita can be on my team if you want being paired with Robbie he's just the most incredible singer and I was like oh gosh Come on Let It Go [Music] it complains was mad singing in the shower and stuff that's all I really do the fact that you haven't got a clue how good you are is probably the reason why and everybody watching is Falling in Love With You Forget About Me wow [Music] when we're on the stage it feels right like we know us singing together it's like this is what we're meant to do the song I'm giving you Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus what a banger you know it yeah I know I didn't think you were going to know it you're not going to have Miley Cyrus in Ireland right they do that's a good song [Music] you need to breathe yeah not uh as well you have to really think about trust your diaphragm because that's where the voice is coming from yeah he does these little technical things where you breathe in really quickly before you sing like which is actually worse for you because then you run out of breath super quick breathe in your belly no no in your chest we Claude we should then this goes in and then you can breathe again hmm we clawed we chained our hearts in vain we jump never asking why [Music] Ellen Sienna rely on each other so much which is understandable because they sing together but I think they need to really work on setting loose a little bit I can literally see your brains going I really want to try and instead of see it just feel it and really just try and then and just let Lucifer trust yourself I want to see that instinct I want to see that effortlessness I think this song really is a challenge but it will push them in the right direction and show me who has the strength to really sustain in this competition you don't want it to feel like it's all day season we're skipping around each other this is your moment show like that fight because this is a battle we're definitely not going to hold back because we came here to get as far as we can and we're not going to stop now [Applause] to win this battle I'd have to give 200 percent because I'm against two people rather than one I'm not going to leave anything at home I'm gonna put everything I have into it Bring It On yes [Applause] [Music] [Applause] greater than you [Applause] we Claude such a big achievement the commitment you can see that passion and that commitment and those sacrifices that you make but also that your family makes you know to be here and now Robbie you just sang your heart out and that was amazing for me the choice really comes down to who I've seen grow a lot but also who I think I can really take to that next level so the winner of this battle is [Applause] Robbie congratulations Robbie you're one of the battles you're shaking your head why in disbelief again there's so much credit to these girls like I'm so grateful thank you so much for for putting me through and then I won't let you down well done Robbie I'm barely breathing [Music] to a guy that I don't believe in cause I got time while she's got freedom cause when a heart breaks no it don't
