good afternoon another santa louisa girl has disappeared and there's speculation that she might be the fourth victim of the so-called golden girl killer channel 6 reporter amy mccleary is at the scene amy john sometime within the past two hours ten-year-old sharon harris vanished from this street while selling cookies door-to-door now whether she was abducted or simply vanished on her own remains a mystery but the police are taking no chances the presence here of the special task force which was organized last year indicates that they think this could be the work of the so-called golden girl the southland tonight causing hazardous driving conditions this jackknifed truck on the hollywood freeway near sunset tied up traffic for about an hour on the southbound side at about eight tonight more rain is expected throughout the night the fire department reports it has sand bags available to anyone who wants to use them to protect homes against possible flooding sandbagging has already been completed in those areas which need it the most but this storm is capable of doing much more than water damage as some residents found out earlier today in hacienda heights residents say it was a tornado that poured through a neighborhood breaking windows and tearing off roof shingles one house was damaged just after one this morning the tornado tore out large sections of a roof on los altos drive and hurled a large tree branch through a bedroom window a 13-year-old boy was injured he suffered a broken thumb and cuts from flying glass the southland storm meant snow for the san bernardino mountains making pretty pictures and hazardous driving by midday snow had fallen down to the 3000 foot mark chains are required on all cars and trucks driving in this area this may be bad news for motorists but as channel 2's bob donnelly found out it's good news for those people who make a living putting chains on cars on an average day that like thanksgiving weekend in two days i made approximately 870 dollars we had the tires on or the chains up but it was too small i mean that the tire was too small and the shades were too big so we cut them for us the snow canceled school in many of the mountain communities today so far classes are scheduled for tomorrow unless it snows too hard tonight victor vasquez channel 2 news and we have word on two major road closures because of the bad weather conditions tonight they are highway 18 better known as the rim of the world highway closed from crestline and the low snow level has shut down traffic on the cajon path section of today carrying rain and hail and snow residents there are on the alert against possible floods and mudslides and in some areas people have already been evacuated from their homes in marin county heavy rains creating new flood dangers now of course that area was hard hit by mudslides earlier this month and it caused 31 deaths 300 million dollars panicking we the last couple days we've moved out
