(Singing) I know my God
has made the way for me. I know my God
has made the way for me. ANNOUNCER: God uses translations
in the natural to accomplish His purpose in the earth. Join
Gloria Copeland, Billye Brim, and Billye's daughter, Shelli
Baggett, as they reveal how God also uses translations in the
Spirit to reach His children. GLORIA: Hello, everybody.
Welcome to the Believer's Voice of Victory. Billye
Brim and Shelli Baggett are here with us, and they
are sharing the Word, giving us good stuff. You're
going to like it, so don't change the station. This is it
for you right here. BILLYE: Supernatural. GLORIA:
Supernatural. BILLYE: The church is supernatural! GLORIA: We're
talking about the supernatural. BILLYE: And we're just about
ready to go into something, Gloria, that is so
supernatural-- GLORIA: Oh, let's do it. BILLYE: --like we have
never seen before. GLORIA: Let's do it. BILLYE: The prophecies
say that it's everything that ever happened, plus. And so here
we are, and we're getting you ready for--and next week, we'll
talk a lot more about what you have to do to be ready for it.
But today we're talking about what's been trans--prophesied
through Kenneth E. Hagin. Many, many times I heard him prophesy
by this move of God. He said, "The glory of God's going to be
so great that it'll be on our church services." The cloud, the
glory will be seen, fire on the roofs. Such a presence of God
that people come in the back door-- GLORIA: Now, where was it
that the firefighter-- BILLYE: Yeah. GLORIA: --the fire
department was called on your place? BILLYE: Yeah, a
fire department on our meetings in L.A. that we had years ago
with those old-time pray-ers. But it happened in also--oh,
what's his name in South Carolina? But other places,
the roof, it looks like it's on fire, and the fire department
comes. GLORIA: Flames of fire. BILLYE: Yeah. And that's
prophesied it's going to happen again. The churches--Brother
Hagin prophesied there will be such a move of God you can't get
all--none of them are big enough, and that when somebody
walks in the back door, there'll be such a presence of God that
the maimed will be made whole. GLORIA: Praise God. BILLYE: If
they don't have a hand, it will grow on. GLORIA: Yes, Lord.
BILLYE: If they don't have an arm, it will grow on. GLORIA:
Glory to God. BILLYE: If they don't have legs, it will grow
on. GLORIA: I think it's time. BILLYE: It's in the Bible that
the maimed will be whole. GLORIA: Praise God. BILLYE: And
so all along with these other great things that are
prophesied, this is prophesied: "And it shall be even so as it
was with Philip after that he had baptized the eunuch, and he
was caught away and found in another city." Acts 8 tells us
about the translation of Philip. "So one shall be in this city,
and television cameras shall be trained upon him. The reporters
will say, 'He's here in Dallas, Texas.' Then as fast as you can
snap your finger, a television camera in Los Angeles will pick
him up, and there he is." GLORIA: Mm, hmm. BILLYE: "And
some will say, 'How did he do that?'" It shall be the Spirit
of God that shall catch him away. I didn't say these things
were going to happen now. Brother Hagin's gone on to
heaven, but he had to prophesy them. GLORIA: Yeah. BILLYE:
"These signs and wonders shall become more prevalent. Signs and
wonders have come here and there, but they shall become
more prevalent and more prevalent in these last days."
GLORIA: Ah, I like it, I like it. BILLYE: So here we're
talking about translations. We talked about translations
yesterday, translations where we knew we were translated. Shelli
knew she was translated to Alabama. Shelli and I knew we
were translated in Paris. Gloria and I were translated to--in the
spirit to a woman's bedside, and she was healed. But we didn't
know it. GLORIA: No. BILLYE: It like happened in the nighttime,
I guess. Gloria used to say, every night, "Lord, if you want
to use me anyplace in the world tonight--" GLORIA: That's right.
BILLYE: "--I'm free, I'm available." And He did it. Now,
we want to talk-- GLORIA: I quit doing that. I'm going to start
doing that again. BILLYE: We--you know David Ingles who
writes that beautiful-- GLORIA: Yeah. BILLYE: --wonderful music.
Well, I want to tell you about a translation where he was
translated. Now, Shelli's husband's grandmother-- SHELLI:
Grandma Elsie. BILLYE: Grandma Elsie Ford. SHELLI: A dear
woman. BILLYE: A great woman of God, great woman of prayer. I
write about her in my book, "Road to Prayer Mountain." And
she became, you know, older in life, and I think she was in
a nursing home. SHELLI: Mm-hmm. BILLYE: And her mind was just
wonderful. SHELLI: Brilliant. BILLYE: Brilliant, but she was
going to be going home not many days hence. So her daughter,
Shelli's mother-in-law, came by. SHELLI: Mm-hmm, Betty. BILLYE:
Betty. And what did she tell Betty? SHELLI: Well, she said,
"I'm ready to go, but the Lord and I, we have one more
assignment, one more prayer assignment. And when that's
complete, then I'm--I'm free to go." And her daughter said,
"Well, Mama, what's that prayer assignment?" And she said,
"Well, honey, I've been hovering over this little missionary,
beautiful black lady." She named the country. I can't think of it
now. "But she just has one dress. And the Lord--and she
goes down in the evenings while everyone's asleep and washes her
dress out in the river, and then it dries." GLORIA: Lord Jesus.
SHELLI: "And she continues the next day in the ministry. And
the Lord wants her to have another dress." GLORIA: Praise
God. SHELLI: "And when we get that prayed in, then Mama can
go." GLORIA: Isn't that awesome? SHELLI: Mm-hmm. BILLYE: But
before she left, she told Betty, she said, "David Ingles came by
and sang for me today." SHELLI: Mm-hmm. GLORIA: He did? She said
that. BILLYE: She said that. SHELLI: Yep, right in front of
her rocking chair. She said, "I was in my rocking chair, and
there he was right in front. And he sang my favorite songs."
GLORIA: Oh, hallelujah. SHELLI: Isn't that wonderful? GLORIA:
See, the Lord knows right where you are. BILLYE: And that same
day, Sister Wilkerson--you remember Sister Jeanne
Wilkerson. GLORIA: Yeah, sure. BILLYE: Now, she and Grandma
Elsie were prayer partners-- SHELLI: Yes. BILLYE: --long
before. They had been in the part of an early-day move.
Sister Jeanne was in a hospital ready to go home, and that same
day, she told me, "David Ingles came and sang for me today." She
knew it was in the spirit, Sister Jeanne knew. Probably
Grandma Elsie knew too. SHELLI: Yes, she did. She did. GLORIA:
He was just helping her prepare. BILLYE: He was helping them.
SHELLI: Right. BILLYE: He was preparing them. And he came in
the spirit. He didn't go there physically. And I talked to
David about this later. And he said, "You know, I had quite a
spiritual day that day." But he did not really realize exactly
what. But his spirit knew-- SHELLI: Yes. BILLYE: --that
something was up. SHELLI: Yes. BILLYE: So some of these
translations will be, you know it and some you don't know it.
SHELLI: Right. BILLYE: Now, Shelli and I, we used to go to
Russia in the--in the days of the KGB. And there was this
little man who was greatly used. We used to take him ink to the
underground press. And he was head of the underground press.
His name was Pavo, which is Russian for Paul. And we would
go out to his house, we'd take him this ink. We'd--we'd sneak
out there, you know. And God-- GLORIA: I'll bet Billye--I'll
bet Billye liked all that. SHELLI: She did. BILLYE: I
really liked it. SHELLI: She loved it. BILLYE: And God would
translate him all over the Soviet Union, which is big. And
he'd preach, be translated. GLORIA: Praise God. BILLYE:
They'd see Pavo, here comes Pavo-- SHELLI: Yep. BILLYE: --in
the spirit, preaching. Well, we decided that we--Jim Caseman, I
was going with Jim and Cathy Caseman, we'd take money in. So
we took money in to buy Pavo a car. Now, Pavo's wife had had
her foot chopped off in an accident, a factory accident,
because they weren't very safe with their factories. Now, the
only way you could get a car is something like that had to have
happened to you. So we knew that they were eligible to get a car.
GLORIA: Mm. BILLYE: And we took the money in. Sometimes we
traded jeans and things on the black market and got them enough
rubles to buy a car. When we came back, Pavo was furious. He
said, "That car was a cursing to me." He didn't know how to drive
it. It didn't have parts if something went wrong with it.
And now the translations had stopped, and he wasn't getting
translated like he used to. GLORIA: He preferred that over
the car, didn't he? BILLYE: He preferred that over the car. He
wanted us to take that car back. Now-- GLORIA: I see. BILLYE:
--an amazing-- SHELLI: Sure. BILLYE: --an amazing
translation. And, Shelli, we're going to read this here. SHELLI:
Okay. GLORIA: What page is that? BILLYE: Yeah, this is on page
246. And I think I'll let you read it to save my voice.
SHELLI: Oh, okay. BILLYE: And I'll interrupt you every now and
then. SHELLI: Oh, I'm--you're--yeah. GLORIA: Yeah,
Shelli and I can count them. SHELLI: So you want me to start
right here? BILLYE: This is the book that Gloria got into print
from John G. Lake's sermons that were brought to her by John G.
Lake's daughter and son-in-law. So Gloria put them all together
in print. This is a-- GLORIA: And they're all in our offer.
BILLYE: Now, he had lots of supernatural things, visions,
miracles, maah! But this is a supernatural translation. I just
thrill when I hear this. So, Shelli, just read this. SHELLI:
"Well, it was in 1912. I was pastor at the Apostolic
Tabernacle in Johannesburg, South Africa. The ministry of
healing through faith in Jesus Christ the Son of God, was one
of the cardinal teachings of our organization. The sick were
brought from all parts of the land. Thousands were healed
through the power of prayer and the laying on of hands of those
who believed. Our church was then enjoying a great period of
spiritual blessing and power. Various remarkable
manifestations of the Spirit commonly occurred." GLORIA:
Glory. SHELLI: "At a Sunday service before public--" BILLYE:
Now you're going to hear something that is amazing, so
listen up. Drumroll. SHELLI: Mm-hmm. BILLYE: Start right
there. SHELLI: "At a Sunday service before public prayer was
offered, a member of the congregation arose and requested
that the audience join in prayer on behalf of a cousin in Wales,
which was 7,000 miles across the sea from Johannesburg, that she
might be healed. He stated that the woman was violently insane
and the inmate of an asylum in Wales. So I knelt on the
platform to pray. An unusual degree of the Spirit of prayer
came upon my soul causing me to pray with fervor and power. The
Spirit of prayer fell on the audience at the same time. The
people ordinarily sat in their seats and bowed their heads
while prayer was being offered, but on this occasion, some 100
or more in different parts of the house knelt to pray with me.
I was uttering the audible prayer. They were praying
silently. A great consciousness of the presence of God took
possession of me. My spirit rose in a great consciousness of
spiritual dominion. I felt, for the first--for the moment, as
though I were anointed to cast out demons. My inner or
spiritual eyes were opened. I could see in the spirit and
observe that there was a shaft of seeming light accompanied by
moving power coming from many of those who were praying. As the
prayer continued, those shafts of light increased in number.
Each of them reached my own soul. Each brought an increasing
impulse of spiritual power, until I seemed nigh overcome by
it. And while this was going on, I was uttering the words of
prayer with great force and consciousness of spiritual
power. Presently, I seemed out of the body, and to my surprise,
observed that I was rapidly passing over the city of
Kimberly 300 miles from Johannesburg. The next
consciousness was the city of Cape Town on the seacoast, 1,000
miles away." GLORIA: Praise God. SHELLI: Praise God. "The next
consciousness was the island of St. Helena where Napoleon was
banished. And then the Cape Verde lighthouse on the coast of
Spain came into view. So by this time, it seemed as if I were
passing through the atmosphere, observing everything, but moving
with great lightning-like rapidity. I remember the passage
along the coast of France, across the Bay of Biscayne, and
then into Wales. I had never been in Wales. It was new
country to me. And as I passed swiftly over the country, I
said, 'These are like the hills of Wyoming along the North
Dakota border.' Presently, a village appeared, nestled in a
deep valley among the hills and next to a public building that I
recognized instinctively as the asylum. On the door, I observed
an old-fashioned 16th century knocker. Its workmanship
attracted my attention. And this thought flashed through my
spirit, 'Hmm, that undoubtedly was made by one of the old
smiths who manufactured armor.' I was inside the institution
without waiting for the doors to open, and present at the side of
a cot on which lay a woman. Her wrists were strapped to the
sides of the cot, also her ankles. Another strap passed
over her legs above the knees and a second over her breasts.
These were to hold her down. She was wagging her head and
muttering incoherently. I laid my hands upon her, and with
great intensity, commanded, in the name of Jesus Christ, the
Son of God, that the demon spirit possessing her be cast
out and that she might be healed by the power of God. In a moment
or two, I observed a change coming over her countenance. It
softened and a look of intelligence appeared.
Presently, her eyes opened, and she smiled up at my face, and I
knew she was healed." GLORIA: Praise God. SHELLI: "I had no
consciousness of returning, whatever. I instantly was aware
that I was still kneeling in prayer and was conscious of all
the surrounding environment of my church and service. Three
weeks passed, and when my friend who had presented the request
for prayer came to me with a letter from one of his
relatives, stating that an unusual thing had occurred,
their cousin who had been confined for seven years in
asylum in Wales suddenly became well. They had no explanation to
offer. The doctor said it was one of those unaccountable
things that sometimes happen. She was perfectly well and
returned to her friends." GLORIA: Praise God. BILLYE:
Hallelujah. Now, think about this: John G. Lake is the one
that the bubonic plague germs died in his hand. GLORIA: Yes.
SHELLI: Mm-hmm. BILLYE: So he went to South Africa in a great,
supernatural way. And his daughter--we knew his daughter
and his son-in-law. And he was very conscious of the power of
God; had an amazing thing happen. This book is filled with
those things. But look, do you think that God was just
interested in that one woman in that asylum? He would be willing
to do this if we were in this place that we could be used of
him. SHELLI: Amen. BILLYE: Notice that it wasn't just John
G. Lake. He was on the platform. But he looked out there into
that sea of faces, and those people, some of them, he looked,
and some of them had shafts of light coming through them, going
from him--them to him. And he felt power come into him. Now,
God--it's in the Bible in the Corinthians, "When you are come
together--" SHELLI: Mm-hmm. BILLYE: "--the gifts are to be
operating." They're supernatural, every single one
of them. That church was in a place. And John G. Lake had them
in a place that they could pray, and the power of God was working
through them, coming to him. And it reached a crescendo that this
marvelous thing could happen. But it's not just that God says,
"Oh, you're the lucky one today. I'm going to heal your cousin in
Wales. I'm going to translate John G. Lake." All the
conditions were right. And it can be that way again. I
remember that Sister Wilkerson told me--I can't remember if it
was her or Mama Goodwin, one of the two, were on a platform, and
here was a big church meeting out there. And--and they were
singing, praising God. And she said to the Lord, "Oh, Lord, how
wonderful it is all these people are praising you." He said, "No,
they're not." And He said, "I'm going to let you see in the
Spirit." And she saw in the Spirit, and a few people, shafts
of light were coming out of them to the Father. They were in the
Spirit. They were worshiping. SHELLI: From the heart. BILLYE:
But most of them were not. And every once in a while, another
shaft of light would come on. And the Lord said to her,
"They're not thinking about me. They're singing, but they're not
worshiping me. Some of them are thinking about they want to get
out in time to get to the restaurant. Their thoughts are
here, their thoughts are there." But they're in this group that's
coming and this move of God that's coming, they're going--we
have a part to play in it. And the part that we have to play
is, we have to know how to get in the Spirit. And we'll talk
about that next week. GLORIA: Oh, good. BILLYE: And we'll have
to know how to--what to do so that we can cooperate with the
Spirit of God like these people did. GLORIA: Yes, that's right.
BILLYE: And in a meeting, the power of God ought to be
manifest every time we get together. The Holy Ghost ought
to be--He can do things when we're together that He can't do
when we're apart. And so with this is an example of how that
worked-- GLORIA: Praise God. BILLYE: --and how it can work.
Like I think of Pastor George, he's going for it. And I believe
that he's going to get the people to the place where
they're going to--they're going to want that glory-- SHELLI:
Yes. BILLYE: --and be able to move, George and Terri Pearsons.
GLORIA: Praise God. Amen. BILLYE: Now, I want to talk a
little bit about the Al Wheeler translation that's in the book
that you're going to read about. Al Wheeler was a man of God. He
loved God with all his heart, and served God. He was
well-known as a good oil man. And he was a very successful oil
man. I don't think he ever drilled a dry hole because he
knew how to contact God and hear from God. He had several
experiences of translation. But the one in this book that is so
powerful, he lived in Oklahoma, but he was drilling oil in
Kansas. And as was his custom on a Wednesday night, he went to
church, I think an Assembly of God church. And he went back
home. Now, when you get the book, if I'm not telling exactly
right, you can read the book because I don't remember exactly
how it happened. But he sat down on his motel room bed, you know,
and instantly, he was in a jungle in Uganda, I think it is,
the place where Idi Amin was. And he's in a jungle. And he
starts walking, and he comes to a village. And in this village,
he sees a young boy on a hut, outside the door. And he sees a
man. I think he was beating him. But he was training that young
boy to be a shaman, to be a witchdoctor. And this whole
village was given to the practice of witchcraft. And Al
walked up to the steps. And when you get the book, you can read
exactly how it happened. And he spoke to them, to the man and to
the boy, about Jesus Christ. And he told him not to do that. And
he told him--them the story, the salvation of Jesus, how Jesus
came to save us. So that boy and that man, his uncle, listened.
So Al then walked back into the jungle and immediately was up
there on his bed. And he had mud on his boots. And Al had a
laboratory, you know, in the trailer that went along with
him, a geological-- GLORIA: Mm-hmm. BILLYE: --and they
scraped the mud off of his boots, and they found out where
it came from in Africa. And so that is one witness that it was
a true translation. GLORIA: Translation. BILLYE: But another
witness is, years later, Al, who was very close with Ralph
Wilkerson and the Melodyland, and he was a support of that.
And he'd gone out, and Ralph Wilkerson was making a film of
Al's life and other people that had supernatural happenings. And
that black man walks by, and he says to Al, "I know you. You're
the one who came up out of the jungle." And he was that little
boy. His name is Joel. And he said, "I followed you. I wanted
to see how you got there; did you come in a car? did you come
in an airplane? I followed you, but you disappeared." But that
young man, Joel, he then became a believer; has quite a story.
And then he came to America. He was out at Ralph Wilkerson's,
and he later became a student, graduated from Oral Roberts
University, became a minister of the Gospel. GLORIA: Praise God.
BILLYE: So here is the fruit and the proof of that translation.
Al had other translations which are in that book. But why are we
telling you about this? We're telling you about this because
these things are prophesied. And sometimes, like Shelli's
husband, Bob, on that translation to Alabama, he said,
"Let's don't ever tell this." GLORIA: "People will think we're
crazy." SHELLI: That's right. BILLYE: "No, people will think
we're crazy." And then Brother Hagin's mother had a vision
before he was born. Jesus came down on a cloud and visited her.
And she told her mother, Brother Hagin's grandmother, "Let's
don't ever tell this. People will think we're crazy." Well,
them people, they might not accept these things, but they're
going to come, and they're going to happen. We need to know how
to judge them with the Word of God. And then with I John 4:1-4,
"Beloved, test the spirits." So we want to be safe in these
things, but we don't want to shut them out. We want to be
ready. SHELLI: Right. BILLYE: Bless the Lord. GLORIA: Praise
God. Wow. Whoops, we're out of time, girls.
SHELLI: Wow. GLORIA: It's--I've heard that story before,
and that's an amazing story. Praise the Lord.
We'll be right back.
