Polyphia - Playing God | Guitar Lesson | Part 2

hi guys welcome to the second part of my playing God guitar lesson Series in this video I will teach you how to play this section of the [Music] [Music] song if you've missed the previous lesson you can find the link in the description below but now let's jump right into it we start on the 14th fret on the high E string and we play that is uh 14 15 14 12 15 on the B string 14 twice [Music] 12 15 on the B string then we [Music] go that is uh 14 12 15 on the B string 12 on the E string 13 on the B string 15 on the E string and 12 1 on the B string so far we [Music] have then we [Music] go which is on the B string 12 11 13 13 12 11 12 11 and then on the G string 14 13 12 11 and we finish with 10 on the uh B string now this last note this 10 on the B string it's important that you play it with your middle finger because what will follow in the next phrase is we just start with the chord like this and if you get on this note with the middle finger uh your hand will already be in position to play the chord if you get there with your index for example you'd have to jump to the chord afterwards whereas with the middle it comes very natural [Music] [Music] before I continue just a small reminder if you're finding this video useful make sure to leave a like and maybe subscribe to my channel anyway back to the phrase middle finger on the 10th fret that's because we are playing a B7 chord that is uh um nine on the D string 11 on the G string 10 on the B string and 11 on the E string so then we play that is uh on the ninth fret of the a [Music] string okay so we have um and we move on to this [Music] part this is actually really simple because uh it's always uh the same Corde shape apart from the last chord so we start uh like this that is a on the ninth uh fret playing nine on the a string 10 on the D string nine on the G string and 10 on the B string so we have then with the pinky finger we play that is 12 [Music] so then we move the same chord up a minor 3D to the 12th [Music] fret then same thing up another minor chord so 15th [Music] fret and we finish with a C major 7 which is 15 on the a string 14 on the D string 16 on the G string and 17 on the B [Music] [Music] string we start by playing that is uh on the a string 9 12 10 and on the G string 9 11 9 12 then we go [Music] that is still on the G string 11 12 11 9 then 13 on the D string then on the G string again 11 11 [Music] 9 12 on the D string then we go that is uh on the G string 11 9 12 on the D string nine on the G string 10 on the D string 12 on the G string nine on the D string and 11 on the B string [Music] this phrase starts with a B7 that is 14th on the a string uh 16 on the D string 14th on the G string string and 16th on the B string then we [Music] go that is uh on the B string 17 16 13 then we move to the G string and we go 16 15 16 and 13 again on the B string so so far we [Music] have then we go on the G string 16 15 12 16 on the D string then 15 on the G string 12 16 on the D string 14 [Music] okay so this phrase is U very very similar to the previous one like the the run is actually the same just one octave lower and um again we still start with the B7 I play is with uh uh 13 on the D string 11 on the G string and 12 on the B string [Music] so and then uh that is on the D string 14 13 10 then 14 on the a string 13 14 10 on the D string then that is on the a string 14 13 then 14 on the E string then on the a string again 13 then then on the E string 14 12 and that's the end of it thank you so much for watching
