it has been a tremendous experience these this week since mr. Lee Kuan Yew passed away I think the response from all segments of our society everybody has been overwhelming here queuing up to enter the Parliament House to pay respects in the constituencies at the constituency tribute sites online overseas at our embassies Commission's consulates and even foreign visitors I think and other countries too Australia New Zealand India timor-leste passing resolutions in their Parliament declaring national days of mourning for mistake one you I think it's extraordinary deeply moving as a tremendous unique experience for Singaporeans over the last four days of lying in state we've had people come through queuing up here and filing past their beer in Parliament House we've had 850,000 people pay respects and other various tribute types in their constituencies so all together 1.2 1.3 million people and this was just now as of 6 o'clock so this evening at 8 o'clock we are closing the queue for the lying in state because we need to have some time to clear the queue because the queue is still 8 9 hours long and then prepare the Padang for tomorrow's state funeral because the gun cage will be driving past there will be the guns on the button itself firing a 21 gun salute so we need to prepare that and we the ceremony starts tomorrow 12:30 or the procession starts at 12:30 the state funeral will be at 2 o'clock it's at the University cultural center the cultural center itself we think we will be able to accommodate about 2,000 people but I think all over Singapore and online around the world I think many millions will be watching so I hope that we will focus ourselves on that ceremony which is a very important one and I hope that we will share that moment together particularly when we have the minute of silence at the end of the species and eulogies when we are going to sound the civil defense sirens then we'll have the minute of silence then the silence silence then the sirens sound again and then we will say the pledge and sing the national anthem together in the hall but I hope all over Singapore too so I think we work towards that and we make sure that tomorrow we have a ceremony which will be a fitting tribute and a fitting morning and celebration of mr.
