Playing The Simpsons: Hit & Run... 17 YEARS LATER!

what's up guys welcome back to a new video on this channel today we're going to be playing one of the best games of all time the simpsons hit and run this is easily one of my top three favorite games of all time i used to play this all the time as a kid on the very first xbox so not the xbox x not the xbox one not even the xbox 360 but the very first xbox because this game actually came out 18 years ago in 2003. wait wouldn't that make it 17 years old i gotta look this up yeah it came out in september 2003 so it's 17 years old it's basically like gta i believe this game was actually inspired by gta somehow this is obviously a bit more child friendly for example if i steal a car i don't even steal it i'm actually just in the passenger seat giving directions to where to go yes today we're going to be doing some free roaming in this game just kind of check out the map i'm also going to be trying out so many missions of course and see if we managed to complete them because some of the missions in this game are actually very difficult i don't even know how much to complete them to be honest when i was a kid let's go ahead and pull over right here by the power plant i'm gonna let this guy drive away or he's just gonna stand there okay as you can see the game actually looks very good that's because i've installed an hd texture mod so instead of the game looking like this it now looks like this which is of course a lot nicer now let's go and check out some of the cars that you can use so you have the family sedan you have some more sedans and the further you proceed you begin to unlock some really cool vehicles for example the honor roller which is one of bart's vehicles in this game and we can go ahead and do some racing with that later on with parts you also begin to unlock some really cool vehicles like the hover car right here we got this car right here which actually has some really good handling we can try this one the farini aka ferrari i guess i think we're gonna go in a spawn in the farini can you come and get me there we go you're spawning straight away just like gta you know you call your mechanic in gt online and he just pulls up with the car it's basically the same thing oh yeah here we go now we got some speed and do this thing handles so well as well most of the cars in the game drifts a lot this one does of course when you go full speed let's see if we can hit this jump right here we should be able to make it over yeah easy oh sorry yeah dude another thing that i love about this game is the animations when you kick people over for example if i just kick this guy right here or i just missed him okay come on oh hold on gotta get this b first here we go look at all that money where is this guy running why are you running so when you kick somebody this kind of yeah roll around on the ground it looks really strange yeah i believe march is waiting for us as you can see up in the left corner she's waiting for us back at the house we have done the first mission in this game so many times so we can actually go into the mission select let's just select a mission here for us to do as you can see i'm unlocked everything let's do like level five and maybe quick cash i don't know what that is but let's try it looks like we are playing as a poo in this one okay so let's talk to snake and see what he has to say sir this folder is empty to rob me is one thing but i never expected you to lie dude relax okay i've got the info you need i just need help with a little more community service i'm totally evil i should know better than to trust that demented chuckle but okay okay so we're gonna help snake with his community service destroy the armored car and avoid chief wiggum it doesn't sound like community service to me but let's do it anyways okay so we're gonna drive to the googleplex and we need to find the car i guess as you can see we're now in a different map as well as you proceed in this game you go to different levels which all look different for example when you're bored you go to a different world and when you lease and stuff like that as you progress in the game and oh there's a cop car okay so we're gonna lose the tail the cop cars army i believe that is chief wiggum so we just gotta go luckily snake's car is actually really nice handles very well oh i don't wanna crash as i say that come on he's right on my tail still we can look at the mini map just like to itae again guys there's so many references that you can make from this game to gta it's actually crazy um but yeah as you can see the red bar is decreasing so we're getting away just gotta keep going come on snake you got this let's do a short cut through here that should help us out there we go that's complete now we're gonna head over to the googlyplex i'm not sure if that's what it's called but that's what it says up in the corner i believe let's drive back over there here we go we gotta destroy this guy okay i'm gonna wreck my car quite a bit but luckily you can pick up like wrenches which will of course repair your car so we just gotta make sure this guy crashes basically this should be a pretty easy mission i don't feel like he's that fast so he's gonna derail him make him crash into stuff should it be that hard of a mission come on make him crash oh display myself crash okay now my car is smoking that's not good i think i'm gonna have to hold off a bit here until i find a wrench to repair my vehicle so now we just gotta awkwardly follow him here without doing anything the thing is if i crash into this guy now my smoke is gonna turn to black and then it's gonna explode and that will be mission failed let's see where is he gonna go he's crashed himself he doesn't seem to do any damage though come on oh i see one over here okay we're going to cut him off there we go perfect we're back to normal and he just crashed now we should be able to beat this guy up come on where are you at make him crash beautiful let's keep this up just doing some beautiful community service here guys let's go back over here i believe we're doing a full lap here right through there no no no no come on reverse can't let him get away where is he geez right there here we go oh that's not it dude come on we should be able to crash into this guy without our car blowing up now oh he just crashed himself oh there we go he just messed himself up what's up dude he's laying on my car anyways let's just leave him behind and let's go back to the starting point hit the stunt jump there we go get the repair as well even got the stunting cinematic just like gta you guys man i love this game i really want to do a mission with bart i remember he had very fun missions to do as well if not mistaken he is level three or two and check that after this mission go into here and now we gotta lose the tail all the cops found me come on not again and i only have 40 seconds to do so dude i do not want to redo this whole mission come on go go go go go loose it loose if you're so close what how do you get back he's on the opposite side of the street there's no way he can see me come on here we go if you do not tell me who owns the cola trucks then i will be forced to use profanity okay okay don't do nuts look the cola trucks are registered to the museum the museum each level of this adventure is more exciting than the last i am the greatest driver in all the land there we go mission complete nice we gotta go talk to bart but i don't think we're gonna do that we're gonna switch over to bart instead so let's go back to the mission select and i believe it's level two and let's maybe do like should these sound good maybe bart and frink that sounds good and as you can see here we are with the honor roller that we use with bart so let's go do this mission as well i gotta play bonestorm too give me one no can do my pointy-headed friend i need the power of video game violence to run my latest invention slash monster if you find me a world war ii communication radio and a satellite then my creation will live and we can play with it and enjoy the frolicking oh cool real violence is way better than tv violence it's like a level boss come to life now who would have a world war ii radio that guy that sells all those grenades to nelson might i better check all right go to herman's military antiques and find a world war ii radio for professor frink okay wait what i got to follow this guy where did he come from he's just running people over what the heck who's this guy and then you can also get a wanted level buddies running into stuff like for example if i hit this guy right here you can see the yellow circle down in the corner increases and when that goes all the way around you're going to hit and run basically and yeah you get a wanted level and the cops start coming for you i'm not sure if i don't think i got to crash into this guy he's got to follow him he's a terrible driver so right there we go uh talk to chief wiggum where you see that what is snake doing dude snake is going crazy look at him let's go talk to wiggum springfield's lamest what's the deal didn't you hear herman's been robbed hey you don't know who did it do you cuz if you did boy that would be great oh no now where am i gonna get a radio these fresh skid marks leading away from the scene of the crime could be a clue but who's to say really wait maybe it's a snake because he just drove off like crazy so he's probably the one who robbed it knowing snake that's probably him yeah it should be as you can see up in the left corner that's actually him yeah we gotta talk to snake right here he's just parked in the middle of the highway let's see what he has to say hey snake what's up um do i know you little dude i need that radio you borrowed no way little dude this radio is going to help me score bow cue day chicks uh last time i checked chicks like fast cars not vintage electronics why don't we race for the radio oh i totally agree we gotta do a race okay race snake to the stadium okay here we go now i believe snake's car is a lot faster than mine yeah um it also handles very good natural bars vehicle actually handles we are tied for first place come on get it there we go now he's gonna make sure that we stay in front don't crash into any cars come on we got this yeah bart your car is not that fast but we still managed to win against snake nice i just gotta collect it here we go mission complete that was an easy mission actually you know we gotta drive to krusty burger what are we gonna do over there i have no idea okay now we gotta talk to cletus how is he involved in this hey there mr slackjaw joker that b.i can i borrow your saddle like this sure if you help me scoop up my flat meat sophisticated city youngster those turned revenuers don't like me selling roadkill okay collect the flat meat before time runs out so so we just gotta click roadkill for cletus sounds good we're gonna take 14 in one minute and 20 seconds this might get tricky this car does not really handle too well and i'm probably gonna go into hit and run because i'm gonna be crashing into a lot of things here i feel like it looks like they're in the middle of the street so we might be fine here let's go cletus you got this don't flip your car over 5 out of 14 which way is it this way nice so far so good okay am i stuck back here please tell me i can go right here that's not good that's a lot of seconds wasted go go go go go get this one and the last one is right up here they didn't even get a single yellow bar for the wanted level that's actually very surprising now we gotta go back to krusty berg in one minute dude that's the thing about this game everything is timed which is actually very stressful these are kind of easy missions the last few missions of this game are insanely difficult i remember as a kid i tried them for days without even passing them i had to like ask my older friends to help me out with them but yeah eventually i learned it as well and of course completed the game multiple times as a kid and how far is it to crush the burger i feel like i'm sort of running out of time here we're only at 25 seconds i think it might be just around the corner here looking at the minimap yeah here we go get away from up what is how is he involved in this again what you are doing no one can sell rotten meat that's easy and then we gotta go back to krusty burger that was so weird what is a poo doing there rusty burgers are made of roadkill that explains the tire tracks take this satellite dish as a reward she gets 14 channels including the outhouse channel man i love watching that thanks inbred hillbilly torrent nothing now he's going to deliver this to the stadium mostly to mr frank i want to get the hoverbike and you guys know what also has hoverbikes tta aka the oppressor or the oppressor mark too kind of looks like it as well to be honest with the wings in the back and stuff yeah dude this thing just flies it handles kind of strange as you can see it is so insanely fast talk to frank me to complete a mark 10 truck asaurus without a blender why don't i just make a plasmoclave without a tennis racket for clavin out loud now fetch me a blender with the puree and the frappe and the liquify now where am i gonna get a blender oh dr nick he loves blended girl drinks during surgery bro okay we gotta do another mission drive to the screaming monkey medical center go find a blender i didn't really pay attention to why i needed a blender but okay here we go hi dr nick hi everybody the random girl is standing do you have a blender not now okay my monkeys have escaped can you catch them for me i'll be so grateful there's no way i'll be able to fit all those monkeys in my car i better get a big truck or something to complete this mission you will need the mr plow tracker to sit blah blah blah okay well we already have it we should have all vehicles unlocked so let's just see if we have it actually let's see if that works or if i actually have to do the mission to get mr plow and that should be there it is yep that seemed to work okay collect the monkeys before time runs out then get a blender from dr nick all right these missions are very random but i ain't gonna complain because i love playing this game so let's go and collect these monkeys oh my god four minutes to collect 30 of them what is this mission i'm gonna do a speed run on this because this might take a while so far so good i think we're getting a lot of money from this please hit this jump there we go got it two more two more we're doing really good there's one on top of that roof i'm not sure how to get it do i have to exit my car i have one minute to do so here we go and maybe we gotta go up here as [Music] been here well look at this guy dude we got so much money from this mission we got like 300 coins get the blender and go back to the stadium i guess yeah here we go let's try all the cell phone users car before time runs out and one more big hit then this guy is gone i'm not sure if this is the only one i gotta get there has to be more right oh dude he's like one touch away from exploding come on here we go now we got another one that we gotta destroy there we go and there's another one of course there is one more hit there's another one how many are this has to be the longest mission in the game there we go test complete finally dude i swear to god if this is not the last part of this mission i don't even know man well done my little sociopath i like to smash now there is no chance my truckasaurus will go on a killing rampage with the screaming and the sadness and the hosing of blood please tell me i'm done please tell me i'm done please tell me i'm done yes mission complete finally wow trochasaurus is some kind of truck slash dinosaur i never would have guessed [Music] he's out of there dude he ain't having none of that yes everybody knew the bart man there comes the ufo guys which will be the next part of the game pretty much maybe these will last parts of the missions um from bart actually because yeah he's now gone and as you can see now we're playing as lisa in a brand new world but i think i might actually wrap this up right here we spent a lot of time doing the bart mission right there if you guys want to see me play this game again maybe do some free roaming kind of mess around with some mods in the game then do let me know but that's gonna be for today don't forget to drop a like on the
