Platinum Field Guide & Tips [ Lost Ark ]

so I do life skills every day because I'm a brook boy who can afford to just use the farm only but over the past year plus I've basically just held on to my Platinum Field tickets that I've been getting it's gotten to the point where I had about 75 on me so after doing Platinum Fields pretty much daily for the past couple months I decided to make my own video about it now I did look into a lot of resources on how to bin Max getting things out of platinum field and just like all those resources about 80% of this information is pretty much going to be the same of what you heard if you've looked into Platinum Fields before however there are few things that I wish the other guides would have told me or mentioned so that's why I decided to make my own video ironically miso actually released his video on the day I decided that I was going to make a video on this so I kind of held off for a little bit out of respect so before getting into the Run itself let's talk about setup and prep so if you don't know how to get platinum Field tickets is just by doing life skills it's just an RNG if you get one while you're doing it there are two types of platinum Fields the most profitable one is going to be the first one on top the one that does foraging on it and that is all because level 30 skill on foraging called Green Thumb if you do not have level 30 foraging you hold tickets until you do this buff allows you as a single person to clear the map out twice of all its foraging the other requirements that I would say are absolute is to have a forging tool that has basic rewards plus and super armor on Gathering you will also do a little bit of logging and Mining so you do want super armor on those two and you do want to do this solo because you don't want anybody else picking your herbs yes you can get more map resets with other people but it will be nowhere near as profitable oh I would also say to try to have at least 60 durability on your foraging tools so you don't really have to repair mid-run you can repair through your pet during the run so it's not like a deal breaker to not it's just something I prefer to do personally also you can just get by with a purple tool with the proper stats on it legendary and Relic yes they are good but they're also costly a couple notes is while you're in Platinum Fields you do not use light skill energy but you also don't gain experience so keep that in mind so I do have a set character that I do run this on that is my abandoned swiftness time to hunt Gunslinger and the reason why I do that is cuz I am full swiftness and I have three movement skills so I'm able to go around the map fast on top of that I also do put on the Betrayal set this comes in useful for killing mobs while you are transporting materials where you can't attack none of these are required but they're pretty useful so I would just say pick a switch this class that you have otherwise just throw on Spirit absorption so now let's break down the run and what you want to do so here's the map and when you do it you can reset the map during the run and make a second lap around the place while also unlocking a secret cave that has a bunch of purple notes but just like everything else in loost there's an RNG system within Platinum Fields that's going to try to stop you from making your second lap so just like when you hit a node and you randomly get a platinum Fields ticket in Platinum Fields you have a random chance to get a gatherable you pick up the gatherable and you bring it back to base I said betrayal set earlier because these things have durability on it so if you are taking hits while holding it it can break everything dies in a hit so betrayal set just kills everything as long as you have that active while you're running it back so when you turn in two you get a buff when you turn in four you get a map reset four is the max Turnin on a single player you also unlock the cave when you turn in four so to absolutely simplify the run you want to hit Mining and logging nodes first to get your first two gatherable you want to avoid foraging at the start because you want to Stack the buff from Green Thumb and also the buff that you get from two turn-ins green thumb is a limited time things once you get five Stacks so you really want to hit the map all in one swoop so you have the buff throughout the entire duration so now let's jump a little bit deeper into routing and strategy so it is only atlite cypress trees and pure white herbs that have a chance of dropping the gatherable this is information I missed and failed to mention which is why in the video in the background you will see me tapping pretty much anything so General strategy is to open the map at the start search for these types of nodes and then pick a route that has the most of these in and just Target those I pretty much have a set route that I go so let's take a look at the map you have the left the middle and the right route so the first major rule is for your first two turn you do not want to go more than halfway up the map because that is a long travel time to bring a material back since you are on a timer it is best to just take that walk back L over a short distance as opposed to a very long distance holding on to this gather B where you are slower I pretty much just start with going on the left route and ironically I pretty much break a rule right off the bat there is this small dead end here at the start and I will clear that out of everything I have had such good look of getting a drop a gatherable in that area that I just continue to do it and plus I don't really want to go down there for those two forging spots for a dead end when I do want to do my actual route so I will hit everything in that dead end and then just go up the rest of the left side up to the middle hitting foraging and Mining now if there are foraging things on the way I might just hit it I also like the left side first because it is very dense and then if left side fails me I go down mid the right side has a lot of dead space especially with that bridge so is just less to gather and more travel time so say you're only a few nodes in and you get a gatherable drop personally I leave it there or if it is in that side little pocket that with a dead end I will bring it to the main road and leave it there from there I will finish the rest of the side unless I get a second gatherable drop or that is my second gatherable drop because if you go the rest side route and you don't get a gatherable drop you're going to have to make that track back to base anyways so you're going to save a little bit of time by either coming back and picking it up because you never got another gatherable and so you can just pick this up on your way or you just get another gatherable and you you're done and you didn't waste any steps regardless so once you've done this and got your first two turn-ins now you got the buff and now it's time to make a lap of forging so from here you just make a lap around the map hitting every forging node you can skip the few that are in the top right behind those mining nodes that you're going to have to use the barrel bomb to get through them and your goal and hope while doing that is that some of these nodes that are closer to the base are going to have more gatheral drops but until you are done with this route you want to just leave these on the ground because Green Thumb again has a time limit on it so running it back and forth means that you're you're going to have to re get the buff again so after you finish that route and you wipe the map out of foraging you want to turn in two more gathers for a map reset and also to unlock the cave so once you turn in two more and get the reset you just do the same thing you make a loop around the map except now there is these cave entrances you can go in the cave and then you just want to hit every forging note inside if you've had a really good run and you're able to wipe out the map twice out forging you can go back in here and grab all the mining noes and that's it that's the entire run but there are a few tips and things that I want to before wrapping things up if you have the Locking skill to kick a tree just do that and slip that in whenever you can but I would say never take the time to sprout a sapling if you are going for better tools keep in mind that there is RNG on getting the right stats on it but since you are going to need super armor and basic rewards on it it's going to take time for you to get your gold back and then you're going to probably have to start doing whatever Crystal currency is to repair tools the rafts they travel around the map clockwise they do have various stops to them they're very slow and you pretty much never want to use any one of them besides the one at 3:00 you need to use the one at 3:00 to cross it to get to another set of nodes but there is one situation where I would say it's okay to ride it so if you get two materials at that side of the map and you need to take them in it is okay to ride the raft with them now because this game is janky it is kind of annoying and you do have to pay attention if you want to try to transfer two gathers at once so don't try to rush them onto the raft you're going to want to just place them there and wait patiently for the raft to come place your first one in the middle of the raft and then grab and hold on to the second one and of course get onto the raft right to the next stop which is like 5:00 place down the gatherable in your hands pretty deep into the dock then go grab your other one before the raft leaves now the reason why I say put the gatherable in the middle of the raft and then also place down the one deep in the dock is because you are hitting G to pick these things up and you don't want to place it too close to one another that you accidentally grab the wrong one if you leave that material on the raft it is gone for once that raft leaves the visual map it's gone you're not going to beat that raft at 7:00 if you are slow in at least on the raft at least you can come off at 7:00 you will just lose a little time for it but as long as you are calm and placing things down at the right spots you will have more than enough time to do this transfer two materials at once you could also just Mouse click to if you're worried about picking up the wrong one when you're trying to double transport you only have one material on that right side and you want to transfer that over you're probably going to be faster or just break even on time just by walking it as opposed to waiting for the raft because the raft is slow and also you have to consider that there is a variable time of it getting to the spot it takes me about a minute to clear that inner circle I do not suggest leaving that until your final minute though usually when I'm on my second lap I will start left and I will get green thumb by the time I get up to that cave and I'll just do a loop around there first and then just go back to the normal route but if you don't have much time left after you do the loop of herbs you might as well just hit the mining nodes while you're there and make sure not to go into the cave and clear out those heres without the Green Thumb buff because it does give you well a buff you are trying to salvage a bad run say you are in your first lap of foraging and you're running low on time you know you will not have enough time to do a complete second lap if the gather BS are on the ground and close enough for you to turn it in you can end the first lap halfway through in favor of trying to get that whole second lap done and have the cave unlocked that is just a judgment call you are going to have to make in this video it took me about 4 minutes to do the foraging loop on step two you can keep that in mind if you think you're running low on time but that's it that's really about everything that I think you really need to know when it comes to platinum fields and how to get a run done what you do with these materials is completely up to you you can either
