Plastic Surgery I REGRET Having: Beware of These Procedures

hi everyone and welcome back to my channel for those of you who haven't been here before hi i'm lori hill and on this channel we talk about plastic surgery cosmetic procedures beauty and beauty talking about plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures that i regret having done you all have asked for this video probably close to a hundred times so i'm finally doing it let's get started so the first procedure that i regret doing is not a plastic surgery procedure it's actually a dental procedure the first procedure i regret is having premolar extraction in my late teens so prior to getting braces when i was in my late teens i had four premolar extractions done i believe removing these teeth really damaged my face now at the time of getting these extractions done orthodontists believed in the approach of removing teeth if the mouth was too small but nowadays orthodontists will expand the mouth so that all the teeth can fit within the mouth now prior to getting these extractions done i had really good dental facial growth to my face but my upper jaw and lower jaw were just a bit too small so my face would have really benefited from expansion of my dental arches rather than removing teeth now it's not always bad for your looks to get teeth removed for example catherine zetta jones also had four premolar extractions done and as you can see her smile is absolutely beautiful but for me i believe this caused an avalanche of things to happen a lot of my plastic surgery would have been unnecessary had i not had these extractions done now at the end of orthodontic treatment while my teeth look straight and they all fit into my mouth my cheek area and area that had always been fuller really flattened out because with braces they pull your teeth back towards your head now because my family is in dentistry i am very aware that i still have a slight underbite an underbite that was camouflaged because my husband is a dentist and he put in some crowns to really camouflage the underbite so you can't tell that i have one but skeletally i still have somewhat of an underbite and i may look into getting some type of procedure done whether it's upper jaw surgery or something else in the future because i believe that having this underbite is very hard on my joints the second surgery that i regret having was my second rhinoplasty my first rhinoplasty as i documented in my rhinoplasty videos went okay not too much cartilage was removed but a lot of the issues i had with my nose were still there when that same surgeon went in a second time to remove the things that should have been removed the first time this is when he took out way too much cartilage and left my nose looking weak thin and very unsupported and that's what led to my having to get more reconstructive surgeries because of this surgeon's error now the surgeon who finally fixed my nose for good twice was dr baumann gyron out of cleveland ohio and i will have his information in my description box he really is a gifted rhinoplasty surgeon the next surgery i regret getting is submalar silicone cheek implants these cheek implants were placed when i was 25 years old now i had always had high cheekbones but i felt like my cheeks lacked forward projection and i felt like getting sub malar chicken plants the type that fit under the malar bones to create more cheek fullness would remedy the lack of forward projection of my cheeks so i visited a surgeon in southern california and i remember at the time he said but you already have cheekbones and then i explained to him that yeah i know that but i wanted more forward projection so he agreed to do the cheek implants and he placed the submalar ones under general anesthesia i woke up from surgery i was extremely nauseous and i looked in the mirror and i had these drains in my cheeks and they were just moving around like whiskers like i looked like a freaking cat and i just had this sinking feeling that i had made the wrong decision now the swelling took a good four weeks to go down but even after the swelling went down i knew that i didn't like my face with these chicken plants these chicken plants instead of seamlessly fitting into my face and making my other features look nicer they made my cheeks stick out kind of like a milk made look it's this look right here that's what i look like full time let me see if i can dig up some photos and i'll put them here i also noticed that the cheek implants made my large almond eyes appear much smaller because everything looks smaller in relation to these giant implants now i did ask the surgeon what size he put in me and he said that he put in the small size so i think that again relates back to my already having cheekbones and when you add something more to a person who already has that feature it's going to look overdone so i did look very overdone it was around the six-month point of having these implants that someone made a comment to me saying do all ukrainians have low cheekbones and that was the last straw because i had never in my life heard that i had low cheekbones until i had these implants in and i thought this is the antithesis of what i wanted i need to get these out so i told the surgeon i wanted to get them out and he was actually very resistant to removing them and i found out later why so spoiler alert it's added some fat to the cheek area to smooth out the indents that these cheek implants made but in the months following the procedure i noticed that my face wasn't the same as when i had gotten the cheek implants in now years later i do look very similar to how i used to look before thank goodness but it took years to get that cheek envelope back to how it once was and it was good that i was young because that helped for my skin to snap back but that cheek envelope did not snap back immediately and it was actually pretty scary i didn't recognize my face for a good while and that's when i realized that in the pursuit of trying to make my cheeks have more forward projection i had lowered my natural cheeks which were once high the next surgery i regret getting is my first rhino revision now this was not done by dr gyron this was done by an orange county surgeon who has since retired so don't write me asking if it's so and so no this guy is retired but he was known for doing revision rhinoplasties and he was actually hailed as an expert in revision rhinoplasties this surgeon although he was good for other people he wasn't good aesthetically for me he added a ton of grafts to my nose the kind of grafts that widen your nose and although physically my nose was strengthened aesthetically it just didn't look good at all and whenever i tried to address my concerns with him he would literally laugh and leave the room it was the worst patient care i had ever had to this day and his nurse would come in after him and make some polite excuses and i would say is he coming back and she would say no that was the worst patient care always demand good patient care i was too young to realize that i could demand it thankfully i found a great revision doctor in the years following that experience another surgery i regret having done is paranasal implants now it's not a complete regret because at the time there wasn't a better alternative and i had not yet learned of another alternative like jaw surgery or having something else in the paranasal area paranasal implants fit right around the base of the nose and they're these small implants made out of porex or silicone and their job is basically to give push out to the nose area a lot of people who have an under bite have that area a bit set back and in my case that was also true now i loved what the paranasal implants did for my nose it gave my nose a bit more projection and more support to my midface but what i didn't love is that they kind of interfered with my smile now i've had one of the paranasal implants partially removed but i think i'm going to keep in what i have right now because since my fat grafts and face lift the look of distortion is a lot more improved but if i do get upper jaw surgery or if i do address that area in some other way i will remove the paranasal implants because again the paranasal implants were an effort to camouflage the deficiency to the upper jaw and this deficiency i believe was caused by getting those premolar extractions out had i never had those extractions and had the proper surgery suggested to me which was jaw surgery i wouldn't have had to have the perineal cell implants or many of the other procedures i ended up getting just to camouflage the jaw deficiency now what i would have had instead was my upper jaw moved forward which is the surgery that i do still technically need to this day to give the push out to my mid face now the last facial procedure that i regret doing there's one body procedure coming up so don't leave yet is the fat graft to my nasolabial folds now i will be talking more about my nose necrosis later but this is what i believe led to my nose necrosis a bit of the fat transferred broke off went on to clog up a vessel which restricted blood flow to my nose and while i don't fault the doctor for this because this can happen in the most experienced hands i wish i would have been informed or i wish i would have informed myself or both about the chance of this situation arising i do wish that the doctor would have warned me honestly but i don't fault them so yes i regret the fat transfer that led to my nose necrosis which has since been fixed thankfully the last procedure that i regret having is my second breast augmentation i had had a breast augmentation early on in my 20s and i left those same implants in after getting pregnant giving birth to my son my breasts changed a lot plus it was kind of time to change out those implants i gained 55 pounds of that pregnancy which took a while to lose but it really changed the look of my breasts as it would for almost anyone they were a lot droopier so i also needed a breast lift so i went to see a doctor in california and there was nothing wrong with this doctor but he didn't do the traditional breast lift which would leave the scar the lollipop scar vertically on your breast and sometimes the full anchor scars he didn't do that breast lift and he didn't see a reason for me doing it he said i had the type of sag that would be remedied with just a banali breast lift so the scar would just be around the areola well i knew from looking at before and after photos that this tended to stretch out the areola area and i was very worried about that a week before the surgery was supposed to happen i actually begged the doctor to please do the regular breast lift method because i knew that would be the best for me and he said he really doesn't do that method and i decided to go through with the surgery after surgery although my breasts looked better having that type of lift really minimally lifted the breasts overall i do not recommend that type of lift even though i'm not 100 dissatisfied the way that my breasts look now is not my preferred look i also didn't think that the scarring was acceptable to me it looked like the stitching for my incisions wasn't done very carefully as to minimize the scars so in the future i will have a full breast lift and i'll probably look into smaller implants as well so what procedures are next for me i think the main procedure that comes to mind is a full breast lift like i should have had in the beginning i also may look into orthognathic surgery particularly to my upper jaw this would be a highly specialized procedure i would go see top jaw surgeons so i'm still researching them let me
