hi I'm Adam Atkins I'm here at gy HQ and they've invited me along to try the new range of [Music] pills first off we've got the acacia wood Pizza Peel and server this one's your basically your pizza Maker's best friend uh for your traditionalist you can assemble your pizza on this launch it into the oven and then serve it onto it really nice to use this one is the standard size so this one's 12 in and then you've got the large at 14 in for more like your New York B your big bread loaves something like that you can assemble like some baguettes launch like three or four baguettes into the oven with this one but we're going to kick things off and we're going to use this one so we're going to assemble our pizza got my dough recipe here but there is loads of new recipes in volume one the gosy book so check that out so I'm going to open the dough up now there's enough flour on the base of this if you do feel like you need a little bit just give it a light dusting but the beauty of this being wood is it's naturally nonstick and so we're going to assemble our pizza directly on the pill which I nor nor wouldn't do on the pro or the balance pill so by assembling your pizza directly on the pill it just simplifies it means that you don't have to worry about pulling it onto the pel or scooping it up which you know can be a challenge for some people nice amount of peino going to get our Basel and then we got our mozzarella decent amount of this drizz a little bit of oil on here we're just going to stretch it out just get underneath it stretch it to the limits and the beauty of this pill and the same with the large is it has this nice little line guide for you to guide your pizza to the shape and that is ready for the oven so let's do it we're going to plant it straight down should slide straight off to the back give it one little shimmy and then just pull it out like that okay so we've got the utility turning pill this one is Jack of all trades use it to turn your pizza maneuver some wood around you can use it for pans it's really really solid so I'm just waiting for it to rise on the side that's closest to the flame and I just want to make sure I've got an even color all the way around when I'm happy with that base I'm going to lift it up and I'm going to dome it towards the top of the oven utilizing the edge of the Dome as a pivot point utility pill worked perfectly so we're going to slice it on our serving platter and then we're going to serve it on the wooden pill then you got a nice long handle to serve it so that's the acacia wood Pizza pill and server done okay whilst we've got it here might as well make a large one same dough it is my neopolitan dough little bit thinner a little bit bigger and see if we can get a larger like 14in piz out of [Music] this ready for the Dome so let's go sort of pull it out a little bit so it touches the surface and then you can shimmy it out straight down a little thing and now it's on the surface you can just slowly pull it out got a little bit of an oblong shape there but it doesn't matter as this one's going to be a little bit lower and slower we're just going to lower that flame a little bit to give it a bit of a longer bake oven's running about 390° and we're going to be using the balance turning pill as it's a bigger Pizza I need a slightly bigger Pizza pill and as I've oblong it as well this is just going to help me give it that turn get right to the back okay so this one's going to be a bit of a crispier bake a little bit darker on the crust than on the underside yeah look at that it's getting a nice color on it already so here at they don't shape shame the pizzas right you see it's getting it's really nice color on that cheese is starting to Brown a little bit I think that's about done on the under I'm just going to launch the flame up high again so I can finish the top and I'm just going to get a color I want on the crust remember this is the same recipe same dough just different style and we're done funky shape look at that you can hear that crack on the underside got a nice darker UND theide nice darker bake on that it's got a nice crunch oh I've cut that ugly random shapes going on here it's like I've forgotten how to cut a pizza look at that but hey who cares it's going to taste amazing ccia wood Pizza pill and server large done okay next up we have balance pill standard and large for if you want a bit of Next Level performance great mix of like a square pill and a rounded pill cuz you got this Square tapered Edge got the perforations to let that excess flow out it's black it looks badass got a really nice wooden handle decent amount of flex to it and perfectly balanced so let's make a pizza with it so there we go we got our round 10 in we're going to stretch it a bit bigger onto the peel in a minute get our sauce our peino get our Basel and get our fap mozzarella little drizzle and there ready for the pill so we coated that dble in enough flour we've opened it up this pill with it really nice tapered Edge you just want to make sure it's nice and dry you don't really need to dust it and you just want to put a little bit of pressure and you see this you can scoop it up there's a few different ways you can do it where you can slide your pizza onto it like this crab it on and off but I like to do the scoop method and I'm just going to get underneath it and scoop it on if it goes on it will come off see that best way of doing it to check is to basically put it on and then just put it off again and just practice doing that so on it goes we're going to go to the limits again it's got this nice circular and tapered Edge so we just follow that Circle and go to the limits just make sure we've got cheese everywhere we need it you want to work quite fast you don't want to leave it on there for a long time like you can with the wooden ones and that's ready for the oven we got a nice like 30 cm 12in Pizza there on the standard pill we going to head towards the back the beauty of having that tapered Edge is we can get right into that corner so we're just going to place it down and stray it [Music] out that it's not burn it's Char nice Pizza nicely cooked out beautiful Underside let's give it a slice got a nice little air pocket there fold that bit over and the nappily fold man this thing's like lava let's go okay here we have prop pill this is the prop pill standard and prop pill large much the same as the balance or the wood Acacia pills you got a 30 cm and a 36 or 12 in and 14 in this one is an absolute Banger full extension of your arm literally so lightweight designed by Go's best pizza chefs for you to become the best pizza chef you got full perforations all the way around beautiful tapered Edge it's perfectly balanced just like the balance pill but just Next Level so really nice really lightweight really flexible but it's being sturdy at the same time this is my go-to pill so let's make a [Music] pizza don't need anything on this we've got enough flow on there much like the balance pill it's got a really nice sharp edge can just get underneath it if it's going to slide on it's going to slide off if you do feel like you need to get a little bit of flour on it if you just dust it like that it's going to going to fall straight through anyway so we're just going to get underneath it straight on and stretch it out to the limits of this pill just following that rounded tapered Edge lining it up and you're going to get perfectly shaped 12 in or 30 cm Pizza okay that is ready for the oven straight down straight [Music] out one pizza with the pro pit as always got to give it a taste that nicely cooked out let's go throughout all the cooking with these pills I've been using these two first off is the utility pill like I said earlier is like a jack of all you can use this one for spinning pizzas smallish pizzas treeing pans moving wood moving coal it's kind of really nice really sturdy not got a lot of flex to it it's got really nice like proper proper sturdy handle yeah this one can do everything if you want something a little bit bigger a little bit better for your bigger pizzas then you've got the balanced turning pill what's good about this pill is it doesn't have any rivets here holding the head on it's just welded flat to it it's one flat tapered Edge and you don't have a little slider mechanism so you don't have a little like rivet here as well which means you're not going to catch your pizza on those little rivets or little screws or anything like that which is really good nice and flat can turn a pizza with ease 20 cm head perfect for those larger pizzas 12 12 in and above nice ergonomic wooden handle it's got a nice weight nicely balanced this is the
