I'm glad someone else loves this sketch as much as my wife and I do.
We, too, often have goooood, goooood pizza plaaans.
I watch this sketch at least once a week. Melissa McCarthy should have a permanent slot to host the show once a year.
I cry laughing every time she tries to hand him a pen and he finally just tosses it in frustration. Perfect!
This is right up there with her Hidden Valley Ranch sketch too!
One of my faves too!! I always wonder how much of this was improvised. The flow is SO much more natural than what we see in the average sketch!
Jason Sudeikis is my favorite SNL straight man of all time. He’s great in this and makes Melissa that much more funny.
What you have here is a master of improv/sketch comedy doing his best to hang with another master of improv, and making it look effortless.
I had forgotten how the audience feels bad for Barb by the end of the sketch! I can’t think of another sketch on SNL where that happened.
Just incredible.
