[Music] do [Music] good afternoon ladies and gentlemen once again it's my pleasure to welcome all of you to the 2019 derby city classic and the 21st edition of the pocket billiards all-around world championship we're here in the accustats arena live at the horseshoe southern indiana and we are still in one pocket and we're on our way to finding out who's going to wear the crown we'll get to that are going to play in front of you right here on the outer tables are the other two gentlemen that's alex page line and corey dool alex has a rebuy nobody else does so depending on the outcome of that match we'll have either two players or three players to continue on our way to finding out who's going to wear the crown with that being said it's now my honor to introduce our two competitors from tarlac the republic of the philippines he's a former world nine ball champion up here in the banners of the derby city classic his banner has six pictures three of those represent all-around master of the table world titles in 2010 he received this game's highest honor by being inducted into the bca hall of fame and i'd like to mention one thing as well if they had a hall of fame for one of the greatest human beings in our sport and maybe elsewhere this gentleman would most likely be at the top of that list he's a great representative for our game and we thank him for what he's done for us it away mark the battle for one pocket supremacy in the philippines is what we are going to be witnessing bustamani and arcolo welcome back everyone this is accustats continuing coverage of the derby city classic mark wilson and danny dalberto on the call welcome aboard danny thank you mark we're not only playing for the title here at derby city we're playing for the filipino title right yeah that's a big match there's four players left three of them are filipino descent which suggests that if you have a big background in 15 ball rotation you're probably going to be pretty good at moving the secondary object balls key ball around the table combinations caroms kisses in addition to that as ken schuman just said corey dools still alive we saw corey dual eliminate shane van boning here earlier today it was just like a absolute tiger that does not miss a ball in chain bamboni and a mouse that has many different tactics and creativity that just keeps pecking away at the tiger and somehow the mouse won the mouse one well you know what i mean the creative inventive master the experience player it was yeah it was it was amazing shane really didn't miss a ball and he took off leading the match early one to zero and then he was four or five balls ahead had all the balls down table and corey just kept pecking away pecking away pecking away finally rallied the defeated chain three to one booster money's won the lag the all-important leg this is a race to three games if you make a ball on the break it does not count and they re-rack well i don't know if he could see the tent but it's a good break other than that if he can see the tent forget what i said dennis is looking at what he can do to escape both of these players have all the tools they understand the shop making and the decision making aspects okay he's going clear around the table danny somebody's playing your shot here yes you're right no it's a good shot that's it this is a big drive into the stack trying to bring the keyboard around the table 3000 and sitting there to do one it's a good shot i like it this is laying particularly good for that there it is no it went long went long oh he's gonna get punished no he doesn't have a shot i think or maybe i could be wrong yeah i think he's got the 10. well if he if he did lodge up on the six ball where boost he can't shoot the 10 that's fantastic because he got the 13 right up in this hole the five balls over there and the balls are open well the way boost he's looking at it he probably can't get by that um it's the sixth ball you know here on the overhead i don't know if we can get the overhead but yeah there it is it looks like he can kick and but he has to warp this angle in here to get to that which means he's gonna have to use some power because that really needs to come down here to get in there so he's got to come in here low and arc in there and then the cue ball if it catches that rail can get up above the five too i don't think he can light kick at it yeah i think he could oh well if he can that's better i think he like kick it i think he's gonna warp it to get around the 12. yeah oh yeah took it out see it wasn't really laying natural to this light kick because the 12 was in the way so we had to manufacture an angle i was thinking of kicking that to 10. that was the other choice that's good shot well boosty did a lot of damage with that shot he took two balls away from dennis's pocket when it looked like he would be willing to could see the ball and there's a reason these players are here at the end stages of a 410 player tournament that was uh what you saw there was just one of the reasons dennis is thinking of elevating dramatically banking the two or twelve back into the stack trying to play it back into this pocket off the edge of the stack and trickle the cue ball to the end rail maybe into the back of the 10. big shot here if that's what he's playing yeah when you go up in the air that much you lose so much accuracy and if he plays that shot it should be played in such a way that you're primarily directing the cue ball you're just playing the cue ball and something goes opens up or goes in off the stack that's just a bonus well the thing about elevating is you're going to make that two ball jump a little yeah he recognizes well he's so elevated he's now he's now he's elevating on the four the ten boy that was a little bit out of his control it worked out good if the 10's not that often the uh seven right 10 might be well if it is boosty will find it there's nothing boosty doesn't know about pool well he's just going to be happy to get out of the inning so you rail the six and try to hide the cue ball oh overdid it oh hung up wow that looks like it was scratching all the way until it didn't scratch yeah well he has no threats good knocking it on his side but he has no real threat and dennis has no real shot so just like the eight ball and he preferred that that wouldn't drop in and it didn't it's like boosting might be considering lagging off the edge of the 15 ball or the seven ball and just wedges the cue ball in behind the 12 one cushion oh boy good speed look at that great execution he did leave a three ball come out of there though a little bit boostie put the cue ball um next or near the 12 ball which prevented dennis from just erasing the six and four that looks like dennis is going to draw over around and come below the four here one cushion or two in this fashion good shot yeah hit it good these guys probably have played each other a couple hundred times yeah over the years that's certainly a good point not only have they competed in pro tournaments around the globe against each other but at home i bet they train against each other quite often they get boozy made it look easy you know didn't want him to see the poor or he could have did some damage with the poor however he didn't leave that now he's going to try to put him behind the four same shot as last time oh he fouled the 12 ball with his q lucy has the option to roll it back it's my understanding looks like he's trying to do something with the 15 ball yeah no bank the seven down table got another one off of dennis's side put it on his boosty side powerful shot elve eq pretty good power and great control with the cue ball for booster money then this is going to bank the 11 on his side now and try to move some other ones along with it nope missed them that's why the 13 came back and boosted my side of the table so great cue ball control there by bustamani that keep that 12 ball engaged on those three balls down there to make it tough for dennis do something down there busamani ultimately would like to try to maybe even make a shot that clatters into those balls he gets the opportunity redistribute them neither player has a real threat in front of their pocket and neither player has a way to get one there right now it is unsure because he's jockeying himself he's going to play a rolling ball hit i don't know but i think boosting maybe could bank the two and then bigger the cue ball under the three ball here he was to just nick the two might be too dangerous we'll find out what he's thinking yeah he's just going to put it on his side no he did back at it and then three yeah that's a great shot oh that helped matters quite a bit that was a very severe angle of bank then he made it look easy but he had to cut that really thin and then have the cue ball hit heavy onto the three ball to stop it was a great shot created a little opening for himself now combination good shot yeah huh i don't think he can do much about the 12 ball from here lucy's going to go behind his back no left-handed could he get down for like the 10 ball next if he hit it perfect now he could try oh he's trying to put the 12 back on his side what a creative shot that was hit it hard it looks like he might have the 10 ball i know i think he does but it's close and it's not an easy shot but it's free you like free don't you danny if i'm trying to eat yeah yeah we all like free pre means you're not selling out if you shoot it he's playing the combination might make this which he did they make so many of those type of shots and then you go down there and play them and you wonder what i get good dead ones like that no he's doing a little something there to settle to make it go in okay he's getting a lot of balls from nowhere i don't think he's gonna like this outcome no he's got a bank on the nine how do you shoot it can't do much with the cue ball oh he's got the tent also a little high good speed though booster yes six uh does he i thought it was five am i wrong five big right five not much dennis can do except deal with the tin ball knock it away knocking on your side might have to hit rail first but not aggressive enough for dennis so he's gonna try to put the seven down there and tuck the cue ball along the long rail here it's soon what a good shot what a good shot that was i was wrong you could do something different just take away the 10. that was a great shot really helps the dennis gauze here in this match those are 13 pass he seems to act like it is because he's shooting at it good shot he's got others boy those guys got balls from nowhere two really good shots here and eventually he could fall on the tent for a bank but don't miss oh boy trickled it in you know you're playing well when you almost missed well he's got he's got a few more balls to shoot at i like playing the other ball the nine and then fall on the 10. we're back oh yeah i see that now yeah yeah don't be greedy when he sees your shot here perfect yeah wasn't it he might be able to go to the 14 48. look how many points he's getting from nowhere he made that real unconventional straight back bank perfect speed tucked the cue ball away even though bustamante had the 10 ball right by his pocket made that and he has not missed the ball since so now he tied the score at five balls apiece and still shooting well do you sense the eight or do you draw back you try to get position on the 14th yeah yeah the question is not what i do is what will dennis do i don't know he he's looking at position bank to one maybe no he could even go forward and just bank the 14. yeah but he's gonna draw back no he's got the one next you were right no that's not he got the wrong angle he had to come way back he's got the 14 he's got nothing but he made a lot of balls from nowhere yeah six needs two boosting each three i guess he wants to put one more close to his pocket here that's what he'd like to make it but he'd be happy with well he's looking at two railing the 11 because i don't know if you can make the one without scratching okay he's gonna move the one from the rail put the cue ball down table i banked the one on your side good enough good control yeah that was a great series of shots there lucy didn't really do anything wrong it's just that dennis made some great shots yeah boost is not happy with that shot yeah this is a free shot of this hole maybe a good position too but don't miss good shot he left the bank he left the cross back so kylo is going to shoot that to one boy i don't know looks to me like he could scratch well no i think he could hit the point at the side but it's not an easy shot yeah but nothing is tough that's a great shot yeah what a big ball that was i guess if he feels like he can hang it up as long as he knows he's not going to scratch he's all right pretty heady play there this is high level elite class one pocket is what we're watching booster money needs three arcolo needs one yeah good shot he has to open up to have a chance to win because he needs all three i don't think uh cola has any kind of shot at the pocket well not on the 11 yeah i guess he could bank the 15 maybe no he's doing something with the 11 knocking it on his side making it tough for busty to get out yeah try to keep boosting constant check from here nickname django uh can he bank this i don't know yeah i don't know either oh i see he knows he can't oh set up a little high here i think dennis can shoot this straight in his pocket yeah he can hmm the only way you can sell out is if you miss and leave a bank other than that it's free well he didn't leave anything three rail or look a boost he's looking at banking the 11. oh boy he's now in the game yeah look at that he's dennis doesn't have much to do here you know i gotta tell you i think dennis might play a stun follow i don't know if we can get the overhead he's looking at kicking okay i was thinking he was going to try to concede the ball and he's just going to kick it and see if he'll go away from that i don't think he's going to make it but right he's just going to hope to hit it get it away he did make it make it now lucy has a double tour yeah two or a three he could possibly make the three rattler is too thin ahead okay oh and he can drift the cue ball down behind the 15 here if he gets it close he might be able to get that 15 as a blocker ball he might run out oh he was able to cut it oh boy great job yeah it's been some super firepower on display here both need one big shot here yeah use a little sidespin to take the scratch out of it it's soon look at that game what a game a great job mickey uh well when he needed this three you know kind of needed one i said even though he needs one they're sitting better for bustamante and he proved it the good shot that bustamani made i don't know if we can get the overhead real quick i don't know if you remember that yeah the cue ball was here the object ball was here and he had two balls down here and boosting rather than play off of this went down and slightly dislodged them and that was the turning point in that game and you even called it danny he said now he's got himself in the game well he hit the eight without making it and the three might be out far enough that lucy can cut this i'm not saying it's easy but it looks like it's shootable it's pretty thin okay and position is not easy with this is it you might be able to spin it in oh behind his back though seriously yeah they do a lot of the tools looking there's no problem well it was a problem but he made it look like it was no problem what a shot that was well he's looking in the out of the town you can't take on the 10 first he wants to but dead combination no i don't well we'll find out at least he looked at it yeah he's not going to shoot it now anyway because he's got another ball to shoot he's shooting at the 10 to half a pocket here but that definitely gives them the capacity to open up the arsenal of offense it's also missable no problem boosty he's a character plays hard oh yeah defending champion of this tournament from last year and the master of the table oh look at that shot got the seven the eight is a threat so don't miss if he cuts the seven he knows oh left-handed two well behind the back left hand what's the difference let's run out no problem and they moved the eight oh no not that okay not that you're right he did laugh a little about that well that would be brutal just hit the point now still a hard shot but that would have really been unfair to scratch in the side although you know pool's not fair yeah if he scratched okawa probably would have got out yeah now boosty doesn't have a whole lot good it's going to be hard even if the 15 would go it would be you know to a slim pocket off the frozen of the rail awkwardly just gonna get out of the inning it's got a four-nothing lead don't have to go four four yeah you don't have to gamble three six nine well there's only ten balls on this it's either five or four to one no it's four to one yeah four because there's 11 balls on the table i'm only counting 10. okay dennis has a ball yeah where the one oh that's a good hit very good hit i think he can hit the one knock the one on his side and go forward busy like to get something going his way but i don't think he has much to get a ball on his side elevating he's gonna try to stun the four the nine into the stack yeah try to dislodge some of those look at how good his speed was to stun down trickle the cue ball forward very good hit yeah get high velocity on the object ball so dennis goes right back to work he's going to try to bank the two ball back down no just rolling in the head get the cue ball we're on boosting side try to use the eight to help block some of those clutter balls down there by dennis's pocket to prevent boostie from removing them yeah dennis got the cue ball in a good place it's not easy to remove them this is truly uh these guys have elevated one pocket to an art form again again yeah it's like they did with nine ball great shot there very controlled looks easy when he hits it good but let me tell you if you try that on your own it won't look like that so yeah last game was unbelievably well played game and this one too is starting off that way great control yeah both players playing phenomenal nobody really made a great and egregious error but it was just the super firepower of these two guys and finally it was boost of money getting the last ball i don't know what i would like from here danny well he could cut to 13 and go all the way to the end rail i don't think the 10 goes off the 11. dennis is down there looking to see if he'd sell out anything if he was to travel the cue ball that distance he could bank the 12 back towards his pocket if he could get the cue ball down there beneath the two that would defend all the balls down closer to dennis's pocket it's free just shooting at normal you don't have to get behind the two which she did anyway well good job behind the two defends the six and the twelve that's the advantage with that now it's much tougher for boosie to do something with those balls that was a very heady shot yeah boost season trouble here oh yeah as you can see he's obstructed by that two ball he got that in there just enough now looks like busty can play off the nine ball i don't know if he could try to play a combination on the 15 and then just trickle the cue ball down below the 12 or not oh you went off the 11 for that reason once again good control great response yeah got a ball on his side and put dennis down there can dennis hit the poor without curbing it it looks like he might he might have that oh he's down yeah i guess he thinks he can shot just keeping boosting threatened even though boosties got poorer colors won the balls are sitting better for ocola yeah it's it's not a lead when the balls are favoring dennis this much it's one mistake away right oh great shot did he get a rail he needs a rail yeah he got it almost almost broke the rail oh man what control well you got probably down here on the table i bet you have 80 years of pool experience right 70 years for sure probably 80 years between yeah but it's good 80 years it's not like duffer 80. you know that nice hit look at that nice hit got it right back down there in the problem area well does busty have a combination he's getting to the point where he's gonna have to play something just to get out of the dennis keeps digging him in a little deeper a little deeper a little deeper yeah it's getting worse for boosty he's thinning off the two and coming down behind the twelve is that yeah oh oh perfect it looks like it might get away from him but it was perfect and that was not an easy shot to hit either the balls are sitting good for rocolo and he wants to keep it that way did he just take a foul or what was that he took a bow yeah okay he no longer has one just trying to preserve the upper hand in the ball arrangement he did that boosting in the kick at the 12. politely good shot good shot this time he made dennis play moving the six ball away from his pocket i don't think he could kick it to 12 this time it's like you said eventually he's gonna have to shoot at something he just can't dennis won't let him possibly get a ball over on his side where he does have an option to this is one of those artistic creative games it doesn't look like a lot's happened in the last 15 innings but a lot has is he banking the two of his pocket yeah he's at least putting a thread up yeah it's a little better now so you're telling me that busty blocked the four ball from being shot at straight away and the sixth ball from being shot i think he did yeah it was by design i mean what a good shot that was dennis is able to make a ball from anywhere if he can see it but i think boosty's obstructed him in both cases and got a ball down by his pocket now dennis is going to have a hard time responding to this dennis may have to take another foul now i don't think he's going to just try to rub the one ball in yeah rub the one ball down there perfect speed you got the one right down there too oh boy some great play elite level one pocket he had he shot that and the keyboard went right to the edge of the table stopped and the one ball went right down there by the 12 now dennis has introduced all those blocker balls boostie cannot possibly get at the one can't shoot they have to force shooting at something that was an unbelievably good shot lucy's in a lot of trouble yeah he's winning four to nothing but the balls are favoring caller is one one mistake away from getting the game uses extension right here because this is a predicament no idea what he's playing here danny no pretty good shot yeah he's always left the bank two well i think dennis can cut the one in too yeah i'll miss the shot he does have the one well dennis he glanced at banking the two at the one and tucking the cue ball behind the six but i don't think he'll do that can't reach it he falls down the ball he's gonna get a bunch if he falls on the ball that's a dumb thing oh what control he's had yeah he's come close to scratching well and plus it makes position real hard yeah it's gonna be tough to make the ball let's get shoot to 12 here well if he misses he's going to lose the game right now if he can make this he can get back in line not ready not feeling comfortable with that ball [Applause] solid chat boy they shoot off the rails so well incredible well he's right back in line now i think i'd have to go and bank the tunic make the four and bank the two the two will get you to the other balls yeah i think you got to do that be a perfect time to bank the two the two is a threat anyway he falls on the end rail he's going to have a pretty easy shot you like that shot to get bank on the two yeah yeah that's the shot i believe he's running up like he's going all the way up table yeah he could have got good banking to two and like i said the two is the threat anyway get it out of there and you have what an easy bank he wished he did that now because i don't think he's going to clatter into the one it's going to be hard to bank the two it's going to be hard to get back he can brush the nine and still have a bank on the two but the five is up there you can't just let snowball no you can go to the two off the nine oh you're oh i see get down off the two yeah yeah yeah yeah okay you did it now good shot yeah great shot wow now we can pull on the 8 and 11 or even the pipe doesn't have a big target with the pipe a little bit weak might be able to bank the pipe but he can't do much with the cue ball i think where he needs to hit doesn't allow him the cue ball control you really want not at all and that's the issue he knows he could make it but he doesn't want to risk it so yeah it's right in the in between place i don't think he could cross it if you're going to shoot i think you got to stiffen it if he can cross it he could he could fall on the six oh he tried to force it over there that was good it was primarily cue ball he was playing well the six is sitting pretty good for a kick yeah it's in that in good space in lieu of a better shot i think busy should kick at the six i think so too that'll tie the game up he's wanting to do something more aggressive than that because absolutely he's not going to get much from it then just has to play a passive save after that oh see you got to kick this ball in then do what you're trying to do now the ball is sitting more it's a little bit off the rail that makes it easy there he goes yeah this is the right shot he didn't want to play it he just didn't have a choice yeah he didn't want to play it but he made it easily but knew it was going to lead to nothing not only nothing tough to duck here came too rail to fire good job there by boost of money though because i'm five and everything's weird down there it's hard to it's hard to do much of anything they both need three boosts is leading one nothing in games good shot then it's just content to just put a ball down table the safety everything else was too risky i think got a shot at the 13th go two rails between the 15 and eight that's what he shot he's not gonna like this yeah oh he's gonna sell out not quite ocala is jumping around like he's gonna cut that yeah like he's well if he makes this he's gonna fall on the eight two whales to the eight four to nine oh he just missed he didn't get on d8 anyway but no right because he overcut the ball so the cue losing one nothing he doesn't want to blow this game because no be tough to win three in a row once again i think he's got a bank as long as he didn't get a double kiss here there's no kiss he could drag the cue ball over between the five and eight here and then no kiss he's got a free shot if he wants it got the kiss good call mark but he hit it pretty thin yeah yeah it's that i mean you can see it you could maybe avoid the kiss but it's also you could also run into it because it's real close call there but the idea was if he got that if he made that pass and not kiss the cue ball was going to go over in the clutter well he would have he wouldn't have got a kiss if he hit it fuller instead now he's sold out they both need three mostly's gonna need two if he makes this but he didn't oh he missed it three helia to table three oh boy i don't even know no he's supposed to kick that away with a little speed that was weird now it doesn't look like it's easy for boosting money but i think he can wedge it in there oh he can cut it in if he can then he can go after he can attack the other balls and try to chip something he's gonna make it no he didn't yeah like he said i think ocala has got to give him this now okay boost he's got a league now he needs two [Music] charlie bryant i think he's obstructed there danny and i think what he's gonna well no he's not gonna deal with us once again not doing anything easy like just play safe and get distance he's gonna try to do something a little better move that five ball out so well i must be blind but i think he's got a three rail around the five yeah the problem is the cue ball will be tracking down that way too much solid sheep i think he's supposed to take a chance somewhat and get some points [Music] i think moving from here with laying right to three rail the eight is it no the nine's in the way too short if you missed the nine he's looking there but i don't think he can go by the nine he's gonna hit the nine if he goes right to the pocket [Applause] is he a little bit short he couldn't do it but he got it in play look at what he did with the cue ball though look what he did with the uh with the five it's a dead combination boosting be careful but he's going to have a kick at that five not anymore but he's gonna have a bank at the eight might have a kiss on this bank yeah i think there's a kiss here mark oh he made it in good shot now he's got a three railing for sure yes he does we're saying three railroad for sure like it's an easy shot no it's a super hard shot but it's it it's got a makeable shoot at it for sure you're right if there's such a terminology there will be now anyway makes this he'll win the game needs to oh short no end he's going to win this game hard fought game one thing he's got to be careful not to miss this ball because that object ball is coming up on the spot that he bumped in i don't think he'll miss it oh the point got him but he jumped up that was a bad shot bad stroke he jumped up he was trying to move the cue ball clear down table to take away ball don't move anything but make it you're not talking yeah that was bad thinking the power of bustamante he made it to this shot oh he made it close but it's as good as in he's got to give it to him lucy would've had a shot at the game ball here pocket is that he's got to give him this ball but yeah the only other choice is the foul if you can make it and follow he's not going to do it with his place 7-7 all close games good speed if he didn't leave a two he didn't maybe he did no i know well maybe uh yeah might have not an easy one i think i think it wants to go long if he tries to you'd have to really get it right into that right almost right on the point even then i'm not sure you can get along or short enough they both need one good shot just trying to decide how he can get it on his side without selling out a bank he might go real first no super soft good idea oh he left the bank oh he's got by both players pretty good break i'll say dennis surveying the table to see what he can do here let's say maybe just lightly rubbing the nine trying to get the cue ball on the other side of the 15. he hates to play a shot that's that passive but there's just not much here he can do i don't think he has that past you called perhaps not yes she did well what do you do here you bank the one at the take a foul so like come back down here that has to be a little bit deeper in there but anyway yeah exactly that's what he did he heard you mark i shouldn't have drawn that beforehand he wouldn't have but you'd have to have some pace no i think you could bank at the 13. yeah you could definitely you got that i think he's looking at it it's it might be his best way out he may just be forced to shoot a shot this it's not a real tough shot well it's amazing under the heat he'll have position now he's considering just bank at the 10. whichever way you feel like you got the best chance to score a both the 13 and 15 dennis is still in a bad spot not as bad as it once was but whatever he does he's got to protect the 13 otherwise it really nullifies the advantage that the boost he has he's shooting your shot well i wanted to get it right on the rail looks like he defended the 13 okay so he did at all those coins down there we've got a ton of action that's negative four negative two and lots of great shots so it's like dennis trying to remove a couple balls here with this shot now stick him on the stack played the wrong well they gotta go somewhere yeah boosty doesn't want to let him i might even take an intentional foul and just barely move the cue ball where it's at now maybe just lightly bump the one the head and dislodge that little bit over there right right there where the cluster is and just see what his response is i would wait one morning before i did this oh no that could have turned out way worse when he clipped that 12 ball yeah but that guy's out he could have just pushed the one ball forward an inch or so and that would have dislodged it from there and it would have been the predicament for dennis too that would give him one more chance to see what he
