Pinkalicious. You add
the pink. MOM:

Pinkalicious. If you put in too much pink,
you'll make the batter red. Okay.

Redalicious! But my name's
Pinkalicious! Oh, I just want
to be myself again. There's only one thing
for me to do. Okay, green food. Okra, limes, artichokes...
not too bad. Cucumbers! Yummy. Sugar snap peas, sweet! Grapes.
I love grapes! My arms tickle. My ears are tingling. My feet are twitching! (gasps) I am me,
and I am beautiful! Mom, Dad! Oh, Pinkalicious! You look like
yourself again! So, what happened to the rest
of the cupcakes, Pinkalicious? Pink-a-boo! (laughter) PINKALICIOUS (voiceover):
It's true. You can have too much of a
good thing, even pink cupcakes. Luckily, I saved
a green apple for Peter. He's going to need it! KIDS:
That's pinkatastic! Hi, I'm Victoria Kann, and
I am the author and illustrator of the Pinkalicious
and Peterrific books. The type of art that I do
is called collage art, and collage is when you take different things, and you put all those
ingredients together to create something new-- a brand new image
or piece of art. I love to collect
all sorts of things to use in my art. And you can do that, too. These are all things
that are going to appear in a collage one day. They're going to be
in some kind of work of art. If you look at Pinkalicious, and you look at her wings,
you will see that her wings are actually
made out of doilies that I've collected. Here, some sheet music
that I found, which I scanned
into the computer, and I used to create
the background. And here are the musical notes, but if you also look
at the leaves in the tree, you will see there's type, and there are numbers, and there are
more musical notes. This is my scanner that takes a picture, and then it appears
on my computer, so that I can then
paint over it, change the colors, cut out shapes from it, all on the computer,
and use it in my artwork. Never be intimidated
by the word "art." You just put it together
and have fun, and that is what art is. Make whatever you want. Make a collage. And have yourself
a pinkatastic day. PINKALICIOUS:
"Glitterizer." PINKALICIOUS (voiceover):
Mommy is showing me and Peter her brand new
pinkatabulous invention! MOM:
I call it the glitterizer. What does it do? Yeah!
What does it do? Well, this is just
the prototype-- that means it's the first
and only one of its kind. I made it
to test out my idea. Want me to show you
how it works? Yes! Yes! You press this button here,
and then... (prototype hisses) PINKALICIOUS and PETER
(gasping): Whoa! It's glitterized! (laughing):
Like it? No. I love it! Me, too! All those sparkles make me
feel so pinkatwinkly, and... Whoa.
Dizzy. (chuckling):
Glad you like it. The glitter washes off
with water, see? Mommy, this is by far your
most pinkerrific invention ever. You need to make
a gazillion-million of them! (giggling) Well, first I have
to keep testing it, to make sure there
aren't any problems. (phone ringing) Oh, I better
get that. Just imagine what I could do
with a glitterizer! I could glitterize the house! ♪ ♪ I could glitterize the earth! The moon! And the universe! (glitterizer tinkling) Oh, I really want
to play with it. Hey! Maybe I could test it out
for Mommy. I don't know,
Pinkalicious... Now, what should I
glitterify? Hmm... That wrench
looks so plain. Not anymore! (gasps):
It doesn't even
look like a wrench now! Hm... that lamp
could use a makeover. PINKALICIOUS:
(gasps) It's so pinka-pretty! PETER:
Whoa. What should I
glitterize next? My shirt. How's that? Look at me,
I'm Glitterman! (giggling) Wait till I show
my friends! Are you sure you should take it
without asking Mommy first? You heard
what she said. she needs
to test it out some more. I'm just trying
to help her. (doubtful):
Um, okay. Wanna come along? No, I'm gonna find
a cape for (deep voice):
Glitterman! (giggles) ♪ ♪ This fence is so... white. I know how to make it sparkle. Oooh! JASMINE:
Wow! How'd you do that? The fence looks
so glittery and glowy! I used
the glitterizer. Mommy invented it,
and I'm testing it for her. Hey, is there anything
you want glitterized, glitterfied, or just plain
covered in glitter? Hmm... how about my
hopscotch board? All righty! JASMINE:
I love it! The glitter makes me
feel all happy and hopscotch
jumpy inside! Thanks,

if your soccer ball was covered

Really? (glitter tinkling) Whoa!
How'd you do that? With the glitterizer. It's Mommy's
latest invention! The sparkles make me feel like
I could kick it really far! LILA:

Pinkalicious. You're welcome, Lila. Kendra,
did you see that? Pinkalicious made
a glitter ball. What's the big deal? I mean, it's
just glitter. Okay. I was going to offer
to glitterize your notebook, but if you
don't want me to... Wait, glitter on my notebook
might be cool. Go ahead. Ooh, this is
so awesome! I mean...
I suppose it's okay. (giggling):
You're welcome, Kendra. Hi, Rafael. Hi, Pinkalicious. PINKALICIOUS:
Ooh, pretty. Is that Town Hall? RAFAEL:
Yeah, at night. Hmm... But it needs something. The stars don't look
sparkly enough. I know how to make them
really sparkly. How? With this! The glitterizer. It can put glitter
on anything. Mommy invented it,
wanna see? Okay, but just
on the stars. Oh no! My painting! The whole sky, it's... You said I could
put glitter on it. I said on the stars only. Now it's too glittery. But... it's beautiful. Not to me. You can hardly see the colors
with all that glitter! MR. PLUM:
Oh, would you look at that! That is
some painting! It's Rafael's. I like how the glitter
catches the light, like a million diamonds. Oh, like the sun
glistening off the ocean! Like the twinkle
in your eye. Oh, Plummy,
how sweet. I feel so
inspired. (gasps) Let's go make
something with glitter! Excellent idea! See, the Plums like it,
and they're artists. Yeah, but
just because... Hm, that's a lot
of glitter. I know, right? I love it! Oh.
(clears throat) It's a fine painting,
Rafael. See? I told you! Even Mr. Crunk
likes it! Just because you and the Plums
and Mr. Crunk like my painting with all that glitter
doesn't mean I do. (sighs)
It's too glittery. I thought since glitter
makes me happy, and since other people
really like it, you would, too. But you don't. No. I don't. I guess not everyone
likes glitter as much as I do. I'm sorry, Rafael. (gasps)
Wait! I can fix it! The glitter
washes off! Really? Don't you worry
about a thing. I'll have this fixed
for you in no time. Pinkalicious! (gasp) You're making it worse! Sorry about that.
(giggles nervously) I'll just dry it off. Uh-oh. Forget it. Here, take it. I don't want it
anymore. I'm sorry, Rafael. I was just... I know. Oh...
okay. (sighs) PETER:
There she is! We found you! Yeah, we followed
the trail of glitter. Pinkalicious, you took
the glitterizer without asking. I was just trying
to test it for you. It was so much fun
putting glitter on everything. But then I ruined
Rafael's painting, and now he's
really mad at me. (sighs) I'm really sorry I took the
glitterizer without asking. I'm sorry
you're sad. RAFAEL:
Pinkalicious, there you are! You left the
glitter-spitter behind. Glitterizer. Yeah. Anyway, I sort of started
messing around with it, to test it out. Great invention,
by the way, Mrs. Pinkerton. Thanks. Anyway, I discovered if I press the button
really slowly, only a little glitter
comes out, so you don't have
to glitterize everything. Look! (gasping) Look at that! Whoa! Wow! You can still see
all the colors in the painting. That's glitteriffic,
Rafael! Ah, I was still working
on that feature. Thanks for testing it out,
Rafael. Your painting reminds me
of that snow day when school
was canceled. I remember, we had
an epic snowball fight! Hey, I should add that
to my painting. (giggles)
The snowballs could be
glittery. Great idea! I'll paint 'em, and then you can
glitterize them. Mommy, can we please
borrow the glitterizer? Well... since you asked
so nicely. Okay, there's
the pile of snowballs. Here comes the glitter--
but not too much! Perfect! Glad you like it! Now, how about you
make the stars sparkle? Great idea, we can make it
a night scene. ♪ ♪ PINKALICIOUS (voiceover):
Rafael and I don't always
see things the same way. But there's one thing
we agree on: even a little sparkle can
