that  you fearfully and wonderfully made my body   and that nothing is too difficult for you  thank you for caring about my physical health   according to isaiah 53 you were pierced for my  transgressions and crushed for my iniquities   the punishment that brought me peace was  on you and by your wounds i am healed   as your child god healing is  my right and my inheritance   sickness disease and pain have no hold on  me when jesus walked this earth he healed   delivered and set people free and jesus  is the same yesterday today and forever   i declare from psalm 103 that i praise you lord  i remember all your benefits you forgive all my   sins and heal all my diseases you redeem  my life from the pit and crown me with love   and compassion i receive your healing over my body  from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet   i declare that every cell tissue and organ  function according to your perfect will   philippians 2 says that no other name is greater  than jesus's name so i declare the name of jesus   over my body my blood my organs and every system  and process in my body i declare the name of jesus   over every disease and diagnosis that has been  spoken over me they are rendered powerless and   i am free i rebuke every weapon and device of the  enemy that is trying to defeat and discourage me   i am not obligated to what others speak over  me i am only obligated to the word of god   and the kingdom of god there is no room for  disease illness pain or sickness in god's kingdom   your word is truth send your word lord and heal me   rescue me from the grave heal me  lord and i will be healed save me   and i will be saved for you are the one i praise  receive glory as you fulfill your word in my life   i receive your life healing and wholeness  into every fiber of my being into my brain   my digestive system my circulatory system and  reproductive system let your healing power   overtake my kidneys liver lungs and heart  restore every muscle tendon ligament   bone and nerve so that i can move freely  without pain strengthen my elimination system   and help it to effectively and efficiently remove  all toxins from my body let every single gland   thyroid adrenal sex glands hypothalamus pituitary  function perfectly in conjunction with each other   i rebuke every form of sickness and disease from  my body i declare from psalm 91 that the lord   is my refuge and fortress and i trust him to  protect me from all harm he is faithful to shield   me from every snare and deadly illness because  i love the lord he will rescue and protect me   for i acknowledge his name when i call on him  he will answer me he will be with me in trouble   and will deliver me and honor me with long life  he will satisfy me and show me his salvation amen as i pray this healing prayer over your  body remember that god is your healer   and nothing is too difficult for him  agree with me now for your healing   father you are holy and righteous in all your  ways and i declare jeremiah 30 or 17 over my body   you are restoring me to health and  healing my wounds according to jeremiah 17   heal me o lord and i will be healed save me and  i will be saved for you are the one i praise   romans 8 verse 11 says the same spirit that raised  christ jesus from the dead is living and dwelling   in me and this same spirit is giving life to my  mortal body resurrection life healing life and   wholeness i confess that every cell organ tissue  and system is being filled with the life of god   and is being completely renewed and restored  i declare that the blood of jesus is pumping   through my veins and pushing out every  trace of illness disease and pain right now   i speak 3rd john 2 over myself i  pray that i would enjoy good health   and that all may go well and with me even as my  soul is getting along well as it says in isaiah   40 lord you give strength to me when i'm weary  and you increase my power when i feel weak   i receive your supernatural strength  into my natural body in this moment   and i expect to feel your power and  energy invigorating me in every way   thank you god for restoring me to health and  healing my wounds as you promise in jeremiah 30   specifically i ask for your healing to my  sinuses lungs and entire respiratory system i   receive strength and my immune system to fight off  every sickness and disease that comes against me   i declare that my heart is strong and healthy  and that my circulation works perfectly my   hormonal system is completely balanced and  functions exactly the way it's supposed to   i rebuke all pain headaches  migraines back pain chest pain   arthritic pain tooth pain joint and  muscle pain cramps and tendonitis   psalm 41 says that you deliver the weak in  times of trouble you protect and preserve   them and call them blessed you don't give  them over to the desire of their foes   you sustain them on their sick bed and  restore them from their bed of illness   i receive this promise as my own lord you're  sustaining me and restoring me to health god   you are my refuge and my fortress my god in whom  i trust healing is right wholeness is right and   restoration is right and according to ephesians 3  20 i believe that you are able to do immeasurably   more than all i ask or imagine according to  your mighty power that is at work within me   i expect your power to work healing  miracles and wholeness in my body   i will walk by faith not by sight i choose to  activate my faith and believe that you are working   on my behalf even when i don't see it or feel  it yet amen just as jesus has forgiven your sins   he heals your diseases illnesses and pain  when he proclaimed it is finished as he hung   on the cross he finished your salvation he  finished your healing and finished your wholeness   let's pray in agreement for your complete  restoration heavenly father i believe that jesus   finished my physical healing on the cross two  thousand years ago he broke the curse of sin   death and disease off my life when i accepted  him as my savior therefore i am not cursed   i am blessed and highly favored i confess  that i'm healthy whole and well in jesus name   sin death and disease have no hold on me i  belong to jesus and i'm free from every pain   degeneration disease illness syndrome  diagnosis and disorder i ask you to   bring order and full function to every member  of my body right now whatever isn't right god   make it right whatever is malfunctioning cause  it to line up with your will and your word   let every cancer cell dry up let  every system operate correctly   let every hormone come into alignment let my blood  levels even out let every organ function perfectly   as you say in jeremiah 33 verse 6 bring health and  healing to me heal me and let me enjoy abundant   peace and security you are jehovah rapha my  healer i worship you lord and thank you for   blessing my food and water and for taking away  sickness from me as it says in exodus 23 verse 25   give me wisdom on how to take care  of this body you've entrusted to me   like it says in exodus 15 verse 26 if i listen  carefully to you and do what is right in your eyes   if i pay attention to your  commands and keep all your decrees   you won't bring any of the diseases on  me that you brought on the egyptians   for you are the lord who heals me if i receive  an unwanted diagnosis i confess isaiah 41 10   i will not be afraid because you are with  me i won't be dismayed for you are my god   you will strengthen me and help me you will  uphold me with your righteous right hand   as it says in psalm 91 you will cover me with your  feathers and under your wings i will find refuge   your faithfulness will be my shield and rampart i  won't fear the terror of night nor the arrow that   flies by day nor the pestilence that stalks in the  darkness nor the plague that destroys it midday a   thousand may fall at my side ten thousand at  my right hand but it will not come near me   lord you promised that if i say the lord is my  refuge and if i make the most high my dwelling   no harm will overtake me no disaster will come  near my tent i will tread on every enemy every   disease and every diagnosis that tries to  attack me and i will rest in the safety   of your love and protection trusting you  to bring about total wholeness to my body and i will rest in the safety  of your love and protection   trusting you to bring about total  wellness and wholeness to my body amen please get settled into bed and take  a few deep breaths to help you relax release everything that is on your mind clear your thoughts of all distractions  by focusing only on jesus whisper his name invite the lord to be with you as  you keep your mind fixed on him   ask for him to fill the room  with his peace and his presence breathe in and release your breath slowly be assured tonight that jesus loves you even  though you've probably heard that phrase   many times it is a powerful truth you can  count on jesus loves you he knows your name   amidst all the people in the world  he knows exactly what you need inhale deeply and exhale completely pull the soft covers around you  and lie very still for a moment think only of the gentle savior who loves  you and surrounds you with his peace softly and tenderly jesus is  calling calling for you and for me please pray with me heavenly father in the  precious name of your son jesus i pray over   this beloved listener tonight with each breath  they take i ask you to fill them with your peace lord each of us needs your tender healing touch  just as the woman bravely reached out and touched   the hem of your robe so we reach out to receive  healing from you tonight mind heart body and soul   please heal every broken place lord as this dear child hears your words of  comfort tonight let your spirit flow through them   reminding them of your truth let them know  they are deeply loved by you as they fall   asleep i pray that your presence will guard  them all through the night and when they wake   i pray that they will be fully  renewed ready to face the day   complete all healthy and secure i ask for  these things in the name of your son jesus amen before we get into our sleep story take one more  deep breath in and release it as slowly as you can relax every muscle from head to toe  feel the tension leaving your body god is with you feel his comfort in presence rest  in his love and peace oh how he cares for you now we turn to the shores of galilee  as a multitude of people wait for jesus   he steps out of the boat and is welcomed by them   they gather around him pressing in on  every side desperate to get close to him a woman is in the crowd a dear woman who has  been bleeding for 12 long years can you imagine   she has suffered for so long without relief  she has spent her life savings on doctors and   treatments hoping something will work she has been  isolated and outcast as a woman who is unclean by every standard of the jewish law she should  not be there this day however she has nowhere   else to go she is desperate to find healing and  she knows there is one who can make her whole perhaps you have felt unclean or isolated  maybe you don't believe you should receive   anything from god if so please release  those thoughts to the savior tonight he has washed away your guilt and  shame he has torn the veil so that   you can enter the holy of holies he invites  you to come boldly to the throne of grace gracious god please release this beloved listener  of all doubt tonight as they come before you   remove any obstacle that stands in their  way restore their faith in you leading   them to your throne fully surrendered  to you in the name of jesus i pray even though the woman was deemed unclean by the  jewish law the law of love prevailed that day her faith in jesus took her to galilee  despite the label others had placed on her   and in faith she waited for just the  right time to touch the hem of his robe   her story is recorded in luke chapter 8 verses  43 and 44. now a woman having a flow of blood   for 12 years who had spent all her livelihood  on physicians and could not be healed by any   came from behind and touched the border of his  garment and immediately her flow of blood stopped immediately she was healed with one slight touch  she received the power of jesus mighty to heal   you see as jesus the great physician walked past  she knew without a doubt that he was able to heal he is able as ephesians 3 20 says he is able to  do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine   according to his power that is at work within  us rest in that comforting truth tonight gracious god healer and friend we come humbly  before you thanking you for being with us   as this beloved person seeks you tonight help  them to find your grace and peace remind them   that they are created to seek you reach for  you and find you for you are not far from them i pray for this dear person to be assured  of the healing power of your presence   i ask lord that you heal every affliction  every illness and every issue they might have   in the mighty name of jesus and by the power of  your spirit please move through this person's body   to bring full healing and restoration  thank you father in jesus's name amen after the woman touched the hem of jesus's  robe he stopped and asked who touched me   none of his disciples could answer him   in fact they questioned the lord by saying master  the multitudes strong and press you and you say   who touched me but jesus said somebody touched  me for i perceived power going out from me jesus already knew who the woman was   yet he stopped to ask who had touched him  he wanted her to come forward in faith jesus wants you to come to him in faith  as well he invites you to ask of him   in john chapter 14 jesus said whatever you  ask in my name that i will do that the father   may be glorified in the sun if you  ask anything in my name i will do it this heart lord needs your cleansing power this mind lord needs your thoughts of praise this body lord needs your healing touch this soul lord needs your hands to raise be still before the lord tonight  resting in his love towards you   trust him to know exactly what  you need trust him to heal you when the woman saw that she  was not hidden from jesus   she came trembling and falling down before him  she declared in the presence of all the people   why she had touched him and  how she was healed immediately   then jesus said to her daughter be of good  cheer your faith has made you well go in peace hear jesus's words again be of good cheer  your faith has made you well go in peace your faith as small as a tiny mustard seed is  enough believe that jesus is mighty to heal   from every sickness and pain he is more than  able to make you well do not give up keep   pressing in keep taking hold of the hem  of his garment believing he can heal you lord jesus i pray for this beloved person tonight   hopeful for your hand of healing over their  infirmities please lord renew their hope in you   never let them doubt that you are able  to heal give them strength comfort   and direction as they walk in faithfulness  to you i ask that you work through their body   through every fiber of their being  to heal and restore them to health   no matter what lord i pray that this child  will give you all the glory honor and praise   i pray that they will be a living  testimony of what you've done for them   be with them lord be their comfort and their  peace i pray these things in your holy name amen let your head sink deep into the pillow let go  of any distractions or thoughts about tomorrow   and events of your day allow yourself to be  fully present in the here and now breathe deeply   in and out in and out inviting  god's presence to fill the room as you listen to my voice and  the words of this meditation   let the peaceful messages flow into your  mind and settle deep into your heart   prayers and scriptures i will speak  over you tonight are words of hope life   and peace ask the holy spirit to send  words of comfort through this meditation   and know that his angels are here to protect  you as you rest tonight as i begin reading from   psalm 91 allow yourself to feel the security  of god's covering like a soft warm blanket   let his gentle presence cover every fiber of  your being he is your protection and your refuge   know that it is the lord who keeps you safe  those who live in the shelter of the most   high will find rest in the shadow of  the almighty he alone is your refuge   your place of safety he is your god and you can  trust him he will cover you with his feathers   he will shelter you with his wings his faithful  promises are your armor and your protection   do not be afraid rest in his everlasting arms  as i pray over you now relax and breathe deeply   in and out inhale his goodness exhale  your worries gracious heavenly father   shelter this beloved person tonight under  the shadow of your wings let their heart   fully trust in you lord as you cover them  and guard them from the terrors of the night   surround them with your angels that they  might feel completely safe and secure in jesus name do you feel his presence his protection  his safety breathe deeply now in   and out relaxing even more in the presence of god   trust the lord to send his angels to keep watch  over you allow yourself to imagine guardian angels   in the room with you they are there to protect  you so that you can rest easily feel the warmth   of the covers and the softness of the pillow  as you sink deeper into peaceful relaxation now listen as i read these beautiful words  from psalm 91 if you make the lord your refuge   if you make the most high your shelter  no evil will conquer you no plague   will come near your home for he will order  his angels to protect you wherever you go do you believe that do you believe with all your   heart that god will order  his angels to protect you he loves you and you can rest fully in that truth holy god please give this person  your cherished loved one perfect   rest help them to make you their refuge  and their shelter give them comfort give them comfort to know that no  bad thing will come near their home   help them sense that your angels are watching  over them tonight in jesus name i pray   amen as i share even more from psalm 91 try to  pace your breathing breathe in and exhale slowly   breathe in and breathe out allow yourself to drift  off to sleep in perfect peace where the lord says   i will rescue those who love me i will  protect those who trust in my name   when you call on me i will answer  i will be with you in trouble god is with you he will rescue you from every  trouble every hardship every difficult situation when you love him trust him and call  on his name yes he will be with you   feel his presence his spirit lives in you  his son jesus has saved you he is your god heavenly father be with your loved one tonight   with every breath they take  let them know you are with them let them know that your spirit  dwells in their spirit and let   them be assured that the blood of your son has  made them clean whole and restored thank you lord   for protecting them tonight in your presence  and by the covering of your angels in jesus name as i share this final portion of psalm 91 sink  even deeper into the safety and protection that   the lord offers you tonight his loving arms are  around you he is keeping you safe he is with you i will rescue and honor you says the  lord i will reward you with a long life   and give you my salvation the peace of  knowing you have honor long life and salvation   is a perfect peace that allows you to rest  fully in the lord he is trustworthy and true   feel his presence now as you breathe in and  out breathe in the warmth of god's embrace   exhale your exhaustion letting it go as  you drift into god's land of protection thank you lord for rewarding your servant  with honor and long life bless them tonight   giving them peaceful rest assuring them  of the salvation they have in your son   jesus for it is in his name that  i pray now as i turn to psalm 103   let your mind turn to thoughts of deep sleep you  are at perfect rest tonight breathe in and out   sinking deeper into the bed  letting your entire body relax let every part of you praise the lord may  you never forget the good things he has done   for you he forgives all your  sins and heals all your diseases what a beautiful reminder of the good things god  has done for you he longs to give you good things   receive his goodness do you feel the goodness of  his presence he has sent angels to protect you   and it is good confess your sins before the lord  he forgives all of your iniquities thank him   raise him he heals all of your ailments receive  his healing touch his comforts his provisions   breathe deeply of his spirit relax settle  your mind and heart on his goodness gracious god please bless this person tonight  with good things that they will not forget   what you have done for them you have forgiven  them let them know they are forgiven tonight   you have healed them let them feel  completely healed by your touch thank you lord for giving your beloved  such wonderful gifts in jesus name now as i continue in psalm  103 relax and breathe in and out again in and out   letting your mind settle on the comforting words  of the scripture god's words his truth his ways he redeems you from death and crowns you with  love and tender mercies he fills your life   with good things receive those good things from  the hand of the father for he has redeemed you   breathe in and out and let your heart  praise him for redeeming your life his tender mercies are new every morning  he has crowned you with love and mercy   feel the crown of love that  he has placed on your head he fills your life with goodness   so embrace those wonderful blessings  that you have received from his hand holy god thank you so much for  showering your loved one with blessings   please continue to crown them with good  things let them know you are in the room   you are in their heart your angels are all around  protecting guarding hovering in jesus's holy name and now as i close with our final verses from   psalm 103 rest in perfect  peace tonight breathing in and out in and out fully relaxed and at peace your youth is renewed like the eagles the  lord gives righteousness and justice to you   righteousness and justice let those words sink  deeply into your mind your heart your soul god's righteousness peace and life are given to  you tonight relax sleep dream of god's goodness   you will awaken renewed by the lord himself  ready to face the day with strength and vitality breathe deeper now fully  relaxed completely at ease relax you can know that you are protected release you can know that you are loved  refresh you can sleep in perfect peace   you can dream of god's goodness  righteousness and provision lord god surround this cherished person with your  loving presence in peace and holiness cover them   as your angels protect them help them rest deeply  and sleep through the night help them to sense your loving kindness and goodness as they  dream in jesus's holy name i pray amen would you pray with me heavenly father thank you for being with us  now and thank you for the good gift of rest   we are tired and in need of your renewal be  present with us as we sleep and protect us   through the hours of the night so that we who are  wearied by the changes and chances of this life   may rest in your eternal changelessness  we pray this in the name of jesus amen now before we read from god's word  let's make sure you're comfortable   adjust the lights or the blankets if you need to   and let's take just a few minutes for progressive  muscle relaxation to get your body ready to sleep we're going to tense muscle groups one at a  time holding the tension for about five seconds   then exhaling and letting that muscle group  fully relax for 10 to 20 seconds before you move   on to the next muscle group research has shown  that this technique offers a range of benefits   including pain relief and better sleep it may  also reduce migraines and systolic blood pressure   so begin by lifting your toes  upward tensing your muscles hold then let go now pull your toes downward hold then let go good next tense your calf muscles hold then let go move your knees toward each other hold then let go now squeeze your thigh muscles hold then let go clench your hands pause now let go squeeze your buttocks hold then let go contract your abdominal muscles hold now let go inhale and tighten your chest hold now exhale and let go raise your shoulders to your ears hold now let go purse your lips together hold then let go open your mouth wide hold then let go close your eyes tightly hold now release good let your whole body relax warm  and loose as you rest in safety and pray with the psalmist  god when my anxious thoughts   multiply within me your comforts delight  me what comforts has god given you or in another translation lord when  doubts fill my mind when my heart is   in turmoil quiet me and give  me renewed hope and cheer heavenly father all good gifts come from you all  hope and all cheer all comforts and consolations   thank you for sending your son jesus   thank you for sending your spirit  to abide with your precious child   help them tonight to abide in you to trade their  worries and sorrows for your peace and your joy   may your spirit minister to them as they sleep  give them the gifts of deep rest and true renewal it's in the name of jesus i pray amen let your breathing stay slow and steady as i  read parts of philippians 4 where paul writes do not be anxious about anything but in every  situation by prayer and petition with thanksgiving   present your requests to god and  the peace of god which transcends   all understanding will guard your hearts and your  minds in christ jesus finally brothers and sisters   whatever is true whatever is noble  whatever is right whatever is pure whatever   is lovely whatever is admirable if anything is  excellent or praiseworthy think about such things god we want to think on the things  that you have called lovely and good whatsoever is true jesus says i am the truth   the truth shines like light that the  darkness cannot overcome like the sun   brilliant on a summer's day at the coast the  sun sparkles on the water and warms your skin   if you clamber up from the soft  white beaches to the rocky cliffs   you can see the sun lighting the landscape for  miles and miles the truth shines like the sun   and the truth burns like a fire that will never  go out like a beach campfire that keeps you warm   as you rest next to it gazing at the multitude of  stars overhead the air is only slightly chilly and   the fire is just right this fire burns away  all falsehoods and warms you with its truth whatsoever is noble what if there was a  king and queen who never abused their power   can you imagine monarchs who aren't noble  because they were born to the right parents   or owned the right land but whose  character was all goodness and kindness these monarchs would not wear costly  royal robes while their subjects starved   they would cast off the trappings  of nobility and exchange them for   true nobility of character sharing their riches  so that all in the kingdom could flourish together   their lands would be fruitful with crops  their people live in peace and freedom whatsoever is right imagine after  hours of being turned around   making wrong turns and getting stuck in gridlock  traffic finding yourself on the right road   there's not a doubt in anyone's mind this  is the way and the road is open before you   green fields on either side the shadows of  mountains in the distance you're not in a rush   this is the way you'll get there when the time  is right so for now you roll down the windows   turn up the music and sing along the air smells  like fresh cut grass and honeysuckle and the   radio is playing songs you all know the words to  a person you love is in the front seat next to you   this is the place god has appointed  for you and it feels right in every way whatsoever is pure pure like the first snowfall  of the season thick flakes drifting softly from   the sky making the world soft and quiet the air  smells clean and cold and as the hours pass the   whole world turns white outside your window you  see neighbors bringing their toddler out to play   she's bundled up all rolly-poley and puffy  snow clothes hats and mittens and boots it's   her first snow is this a sand castle she asks  her mom who smiles she touches it tastes it   lies down next to her mom as they wave  arms and legs making angels in the snow   the purity of the landscape the purity of delight   in jesus you are made pure like that washed white  as snow god's delight in you is as pure as that whatever is lovely have you ever seen a couple married for  decades and decades still in love picture them   pushing nighty they don't move quickly  their faces are lined their skin droops   their shoulders round forward their hair what's  left of it white and thin but when they look   at each other they see all those things but they  don't really see them because they know each other   inside and out they see who they were at  20 and at 35 and at 60 they see each other   not just their bodies but their souls  they love not just because they're lovely   but because the long practice of  loving each other has made them lovely holding on to each other they head out  for their daily walk around the lake   where they practice beholding all  the lovely things that god has made   the loon calling out a silvery flash of fish  under the water the soft dark soil of the path   the tall trees that existed before they did and  will continue to shade this path when they're gone whatever is admirable excellent praiseworthy  think on these things let the spirit bring   to mind those things in your life that are  praiseworthy the people the gifts of food   shelter companionship the things that are  truly excellent gifts of a loving father god all good and perfect gifts come from  you i pray with the psalmist when i thought   my foot is slipping your steadfast love o lord  held me up when the cares of my heart are many   your consolations cheer my soul  help me to fix my thoughts on you   to trust you and to rest in the truth  that through jesus i have been saved sink deeply into sleep as i read the  truth from philippians one final time fix your thoughts on what is true and good and  right think about things that are pure and lovely   and dwell on the fine good things in others think  about all you can praise god for and be glad about holy spirit dwell richly in this child  tonight abide in them as they abide in you   may this child sleep in your peace tonight and  rise up in the morning ready to seek you again as you hear this prayer from psalm 51 feel  yourself relaxing falling back and surrendering   yourself into the loving and forgiving arms of  jesus releasing the weight of your worldly cares   as you focus on the likeness of the gospel the  good news of the death burial and resurrection   of your lord and savior jesus christ let me  pray for you now o peaceful and heavenly father   you give this one your child sleep for  the refreshing of their soul and body   grant this one this gift tonight i pray keep them  in that perfect peace which you have promised to   them whose mind is fixed on you and give them such  a sense of your presence that in these moments of   silence they may enjoy the blessed assurance of  your love through you o peaceful and loving father   be merciful to this one o god because of your  constant love because of your great mercy   wipe away their sins wash away all evil and  make them clean from their sin tonight tonight   let them hear the sounds of joy and gladness  create in them tonight a pure heart oh god   give them again the joy that comes from your  salvation god grant this one peace so they can   sleep soundlessly and awaken with a renewed spirit  ready to face the day ahead in jesus name amen feel jesus's embrace feel jesus whispering  his love and care for you tonight as you sleep   as you continue to relax i want you to pace  your breathing as i read scripture to you   as i read the first part of a passage  i want you to very slowly breathe in   and then as i read the second part of  the passage i want you to breathe out   listen as i read from psalm 46 breathe in slowly  now as i read god is our refuge and strength   now breathe out slowly as i read and a  very present help in your times of trouble   pace your breathing in and out slowly again as  i pray over you from deuteronomy already knows   your needs seek the kingdom of god above all  else and he will give you everything you need   so don't be afraid little one for it gives your  father great happiness to give you the prepare to cross over the sea of galilee   you watch as jesus falls asleep jesus  your savior curls up in the boat to sleep   you sit next to him you lean on him as your  savior rests the wind begins to hit your face   the spray from the waves you begin to feel  water at your feet you wake up your master   who is sleeping you see the look of peace  in his eyes you're in awe of that peace   jesus waves his hands perhaps without taking  his eyes off of you you feel the wind stop   the waves are gone jesus whispers  to you my child have faith in me   my child believe in me you feel yourself falling  asleep in his arms as his peace surrounds you dear peaceful and restful father give this  child tonight your faith give this child   tonight your peace no wind in their face  no mist from waves no water at their feet   let them hear your peaceful voice let them hear  your loving voice your powerful protecting voice   a voice that calms storms a voice that  brings peace a voice that brings rest   sleep pace your breathing as you listen  to the word of god being prayed softly   over you breathe slow and deep as  you hear god's words for you tonight as you lay down to sleep do not a god who does not need sleep   as psalm 121 says my help comes from the  lord the maker of heaven and earth indeed   he who watches over israel will neither  slumber nor sleep his power never dampens   and his sovereignty never rests he is all  sufficient and his sufficiency is enough for you take a slow peaceful breath good acknowledge the nearness of god   as you lie down to sleep and commune  with him as your day comes to a close let's pray heavenly father i look  to you as my refuge and stronghold   it is in you that i find peace and security with  so much around me that is insecure and unstable   i recognize the gift it is to find security  in you god be near to me as i rest king jesus   let your presence fill this room  and bring peace and protection   remind me of what is true and let  my dreams lead me into your courts   i give thanks jesus for your promises  and grace in christ alone i pray amen when jesus spoke to his followers about  what it meant to be in relationship with him   he used unique language and imagery such imagery  had the power to shift what one once believed   about the relationship between god and man and to  bring an even deeper more intimate understanding it is the wonder and power of a  god who walks alongside his people   a god who enters into their world and makes  a way for them to know and follow and find   security in him dear one as you continue this  story tonight let this affirmation wash over you   you are secure in christ you are secure because  jesus has chosen you and he will never let you go in john chapter 10 we find these words  spoken by jesus about his followers   my sheep listen to my voice i know them and  they follow me i give them eternal life and   they shall never perish no one will snatch them  out of my hand my father who has given them to   me is greater than all no one can snatch them  out of my father's hand i and the father are one let yourself be carried away far from the bedroom  in which you find yourself resting tonight   to the rolling kelly green hills of ireland picture yourself journeying down the dirt  path rugged and dusty beneath your feet   you walk for miles amazed  at the beauty all around you   you follow along the three feet high stone  walls unique to ireland that line the streets   you wonder how they seem to  effortlessly flow for miles and miles look around admire the richness of the  bright green rolling hills that span   for acres upon acres covering the  expanse of the space before you the rich blue sky above only serves  to contrast the color of the earth   with round white clouds punctuating the  sky above as you round a corner you come   upon a field with hundreds of sheep raising  peacefully as they meander through the pasture intrigued and drawn to the simplicity of the herd  you decide to sit on the stone wall next to the   field the hard warm rock beneath you provides a  welcome resting place from your miles of walking   you take a deep breath breathing in the  freshness of the air around you thankful   for the relief brought by your wrist  feel the warmth of the sun on your skin   the drip of sweat rolling down your brow after sitting for a few minutes you  hear a faint voice it's quite far away   unsure who is speaking or where  exactly the voice is coming from   you think nothing of it but  then something begins to happen you notice that the sheep have begun  to move they stopped their grazing and   instantly lifted their heads turning their  attention to the direction of the voice   right away albeit slowly they all begin to  walk away from the wall on which you sit   hundreds of sheep moving in the same direction  and that's when you hear the voice again the voice is calling a series of intonations  loudly and consistently and the sheep   once scattered all across the pasture have now  perked up and are walking towards the voice my sheep listen to my voice i  know them and they follow me   i give them eternal life and they shall never  perish no one will snatch them out of my hand   my father who has given them to me is greater than  all no one can snatch them out of my father's hand you are secure you are secure in the arms of your father as the  sheep followed instinctively the voice of their   shepherd so you also have a voice calling to  you it is the voice of your beloved shepherd   the savior of your heart the one in whom you  find peace and grace and above all security   you have the voice of jesus that calls  to you that speaks forgiveness and love   that affirms your security  and beckons you to follow in him you are secure you need not fear  that something might come against you   and take you out of his loving arms  indeed nothing can affect your belonging   you are secure because of the promises of  jesus no one will snatch them out of my hand   my father who has given them to me is greater than  all no one can snatch them out of my father's hand the sheep have learned to follow the voice of  their shepherd because of the faithful protection   and provision that he has given to them now  think how much more has your great shepherd   been faithful to protect and provide for you you  are his and no one can snatch you out of his hand you are secure when you feel insecure  repeat the affirmation i am secure in christ when you feel uncertain repeat the  affirmation i am secure in christ when you feel lost or confused repeat  the affirmation i am secure in christ when you're wandering meandering unsure  listen for the voice of your shepherd   it's a voice you know so well pause lift your  head and follow the voice of your shepherd   he is faithful to lead you  and you are secure in him my sheep listen to my voice i  know them and they follow me   i give them eternal life and they shall never  perish no one will snatch them out of my hand   my father who has given them to me is greater than  all no one can snatch them out of my father's hand let's pray father god we find great comfort  in the presence of your guiding voice may   it be a voice that always sounds familiar  a voice we are always faithful to follow   a voice worthy of our trust and  obedience we love you jesus amen dear friend as you doze off to sleep  receive this blessing from god's word   from 1 thessalonians 3 verse 12 may the lord  make you increase and abound in love for one   another and for all as we do for you so that he  may establish your hearts blameless in holiness   before god and father at the coming  of our lord jesus with all his saints our prayer for you may peaceful rest  be your comfort tonight and may you   wake in the morning confident  of your security in christ it's god's will for you to be well healthy and  strong so join me in agreement as i pray these   healing scriptures over your body and believe  that god is healing and strengthening you   now precious heavenly father i know that  you fearfully and wonderfully made my body   and that nothing is too difficult for you  thank you for caring about my physical health   according to isaiah 53 5 you were pierced for  my transgressions and crushed for my iniquities   punishment that brought me peace was on you and by  your wounds i am healed as your child god healing   is my right and my inheritance sickness disease  and pain have no hold on me when jesus walked   this earth he healed delivered and set people free  and jesus is the same yesterday today and forever   i declare from psalm 103 that i praise you lord  i remember all your benefits you forgive all my   sins and heal all my diseases you redeem my life  from the pit and crown me with love and compassion   i receive your healing over my body from the top  of my head to the bottom of my feet i declare that   every cell tissue and organ function according  to your perfect will philippians 2 says that no   other name is greater than jesus name so i declare  the name of jesus over my body my blood my organs   and every system and process in my body i declare  the name of jesus over every disease and diagnosis   that has been spoken over me they are rendered  powerless and i am free i rebuke every weapon and   device of the enemy that is trying to defeat and  discourage me i am not obligated to what others   speak over me i am only obligated to the word of  god and the kingdom of god there is no room for   disease illness pain or sickness in god's kingdom  your word is truth send your word lord and heal me   rescue me from the grave heal me  lord and i will be healed save me   and i will be saved for you are the one i praise  receive glory as you fulfill your word in my life   i receive your life healing and wholeness  into every fiber of my being into my brain   my digestive system my circulatory  system and reproductive system   let your healing power overtake my kidneys liver  lungs and heart restore every muscle tendon   ligament bone and nerve so that i can move freely  without pain strengthen my elimination system   and help it to effectively and efficiently remove  all toxins from my body let every single gland   thyroid adrenal sex glands hypothalamus pituitary  function perfectly in conjunction with each other   i rebuke every form of sickness and disease from  my body i declare from psalm 91 that the lord   is my refuge and fortress and i trust him to  protect me from all harm he is faithful to shield   me from every snare and deadly illness because  i love the lord he will rescue and protect me   for i acknowledge his name when i call on him  he will answer me he will be with me in trouble   and will deliver me and honor me with long life  he will satisfy me and show me his salvation amen as i pray this healing prayer over your  body remember that god is your healer and   nothing is too difficult for him agree  with me now for your healing father   you are holy and righteous in all your  ways and i declare jeremiah 30 or 17   over my body you are restoring me to health  and healing my wounds according to jeremiah 17   heal me o lord and i will be healed save me and i  will be saved for you are the one i praise romans   8 verse 11 says the same spirit that raised christ  jesus from the dead is living and dwelling in me   and this same spirit is giving life to my mortal  body resurrection life healing life and wholeness   i confess that every cell organ tissue and system  is being filled with the life of god and is being   completely renewed and restored i declare that  the blood of jesus is pumping through my veins   and pushing out every trace of illness disease  and pain right now i speak 3rd john 2 over myself   i pray that i would enjoy good health and that  all may go well and with me even as my soul is   getting along well as it says in isaiah 40 lord  you give strength to me when i'm weary and you   increase my power when i feel weak i receive  your supernatural strength into my natural body   in this moment and i expect to feel your  power and energy invigorating me in every way thank you god for restoring me to health and  healing my wounds as you promise in jeremiah 30   specifically i ask for your healing to my  sinuses lungs and entire respiratory system   i receive strength in my immune system to  fight off every sickness and disease that comes   against me i declare that my heart is strong and  healthy and that my circulation works perfectly   my hormonal system is completely balanced and  functions exactly the way it's supposed to   i rebuke all pain headaches migraines back pain  chest pain arthritic pain tooth pain joint and   muscle pain cramps and tendonitis psalm 41 says  that you deliver the weak in times of trouble   you protect and preserve them and call them  blessed you don't give them over to the desire   of their foes you sustain them on their sick  bed and restore them from their bed of illness   i receive this promise as my own lord you're  sustaining me and restoring me to health   god you are my refuge and my fortress my god in  whom i trust healing is right wholeness is right   and restoration is right and according to  ephesians 3 20 i believe that you are able to do   immeasurably more than all i ask or imagine  according to your mighty power that is at   work within me i expect your power to work  healing miracles and wholeness in my body   i will walk by faith not by sight  i choose to activate my faith   and believe that you are working on my behalf  even when i don't see it or feel it yet amen just as jesus has forgiven your sins he  heals your diseases illnesses and pain   when he proclaimed it is finished as he hung on  the cross he finished your salvation he finished   your healing and finished your wholeness let's  pray in agreement for your complete restoration   heavenly father i believe that jesus finished my  physical healing on the cross two thousand years   ago he broke the curse of sin death and disease  off my life when i accepted him as my savior   therefore i am not cursed i am blessed and  highly favored i confess that i'm healthy whole   and well in jesus name sin death and  disease have no hold on me i belong to   jesus and i'm free from every pain degeneration  disease illness syndrome diagnosis and disorder   i ask you to bring order and full function to  every member of my body right now whatever isn't   right god make it right whatever is malfunctioning  cause it to line up with your will and your word   let every cancer cell dry up let  every system operate correctly   let every hormone come into alignment let my blood  levels even out let every organ function perfectly   as you say in jeremiah 33 verse 6 bring health and  healing to me heal me and let me enjoy abundant   peace and security you are jehovah rafa my healer  i worship you lord and thank you for blessing my   food and water and for taking away sickness  from me as it says in exodus 23 verse 25   give me wisdom on how to take care of this  body you've entrusted to me like it says in   exodus 15 verse 26 if i listen carefully  to you and do what is right in your eyes   if i pay attention to your  commands and keep all your decrees   you won't bring any of the diseases on  me that you brought on the egyptians   for you are the lord who heals me if i receive  an unwanted diagnosis i confess isaiah 41 10   i will not be afraid because you are with  me i won't be dismayed for you are my god   you will strengthen me and help me you will  uphold me with your righteous right hand   as it says in psalm 91 you will cover me with your  feathers and under your wings i will find refuge   your faithfulness will be my shield and rampart  i won't fear the terror of night nor the arrow   that flies by day nor the pestilence that stalks  in the darkness nor the plague that destroys at   midday a thousand may fall at my side ten thousand  at my right hand but it will not come near me lord   you promised that if i say the lord is my refuge  and if i make the most high my dwelling no harm   will overtake me no disaster will come near my  tent i will tread on every enemy every disease and   every diagnosis that tries to attack me and i will  rest in the safety of your love and protection   trusting you to bring about  total wholeness to my body and i will rest in the safety of  your love and protection trusting you   to bring about total wellness  and wholeness to my body amen please get settled into bed and take  a few deep breaths to help you relax release everything that is on your mind where your thoughts of all distractions  by focusing only on jesus whisper his name invite the lord to be with you as  you keep your mind fixed on him   ask for him to fill the room  with his peace and his presence breathe in and release your breath slowly be assured tonight that jesus loves you even  though you've probably heard that phrase   many times it is a powerful truth you can  count on jesus loves you he knows your name   i missed all the people in the  world he knows exactly what you need inhale deeply and exhale completely all the soft covers around you  and lie very still for a moment think only of the gentle savior who loves  you and surrounds you with his peace softly and tenderly jesus is  calling calling for you and for me please pray with me heavenly father  in the precious name of your son jesus   i pray over this beloved listener tonight  with each breath they take i ask you to fill   them with your peace lord each of us needs your  tender healing touch just as the woman bravely   reached out and touched the hem of your robe so  we reach out to receive healing from you tonight   mind heart body and soul  please heal every broken place lord as this dear child hears your words of  comfort tonight let your spirit flow through them   reminding them of your truth let them  know they are deeply loved by you as they fall asleep i pray that your presence will  guard them all through the night and when they   wake i pray that they will be fully renewed  ready to face the day complete all healthy   and secure i ask for these things  in the name of your son jesus amen before we get into our sleep story take one more  deep breath in and release it as slowly as you can relax every muscle from head to toe  feel the tension leaving your body god is with you feel his comforting presence rest  in his love and peace oh how he cares for you now we turn to the shores of galilee  as a multitude of people wait for jesus   he steps out of the boat and is welcomed by them   they gather around him pressing in on  every side desperate to get close to him a woman is in the crowd a dear woman  who has been bleeding for 12 long years   can you imagine she has suffered for  so long without relief she has spent   her life savings on doctors and  treatments hoping something will work   she has been isolated and outcast as a woman who  is unclean by every standard of the jewish law   she should not be there this day  however she has nowhere else to go   she is desperate to find healing and she  knows there is one who can make her whole perhaps you have felt unclean or isolated  maybe you don't believe you should receive   anything from god if so please release  those thoughts to the savior tonight he has washed away your guilt and  shame he has torn the veil so that   you can enter the holy of holies he invites  you to come boldly to the throne of grace gracious god please release this beloved listener  of all doubt tonight as they come before you   remove any obstacle that stands in their  way restore their faith in you leading   them to your throne fully surrendered  to you in the name of jesus i pray even though the woman was deemed unclean by the  jewish law the law of love prevailed that day her faith in jesus took her to galilee  despite the label others had placed on her   and in faith she waited for just the  right time to touch the hem of his robe   her story is recorded in luke chapter 8 verses  43 and 44. now a woman having a flow of blood   for 12 years who had spent all her livelihood  on physicians and could not be healed by any   came from behind and touched the border of his  garment and immediately her flow of blood stopped immediately she was healed with one slight touch  she received the power of jesus mighty to heal   you see as jesus the great physician walked past  she knew without a doubt that he was able to heal he is able as ephesians 3 20 says he is able to  do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine   according to his power that is at work within us rest in that comforting truth tonight gracious god healer and friend we come  humbly before you thanking you for being with   us as this beloved person seeks you tonight  help them to find your grace and peace remind   them that they are created to seek you reach for  you and find you for you are not far from them i pray for this dear person to be assured  of the healing power of your presence i ask   lord that you heal every affliction every  illness and every issue they might have   in the mighty name of jesus and by the power of  your spirit please move through this person's   body to bring full healing and restoration  thank you father in jesus's name amen after the woman touched the hem of  jesus's robe he stopped and asked   who touched me none of his disciples could  answer him in fact they questioned the lord   by saying master the multitude strong  and press you and you say who touched me   but jesus said somebody touched me for  i perceived power going out from me jesus already knew who the woman was   yet he stopped to ask who had touched him  he wanted her to come forward in faith jesus wants you to come to him in faith  as well he invites you to ask of him   in john chapter 14 jesus said whatever you  ask in my name that i will do that the father   may be glorified in the son if you  ask anything in my name i will do it this heart lord needs your cleansing power this mind lord needs your thoughts of praise this body lord needs your healing touch this soul lord needs your hands to raise be still before the lord tonight  resting in his love towards you   trust him to know exactly what  you need trust him to heal you when the woman saw that she was not  hidden from jesus she came trembling   and falling down before him she declared  in the presence of all the people   why she had touched him and  how she was healed immediately   then jesus said to her daughter be of good  cheer your faith has made you well go in peace hear jesus's words again be of good cheer  your faith has made you well go in east your faith as small as a tiny mustard seed is  enough believe that jesus is mighty to heal   from every sickness and pain he is more than  able to make you well do not give up keep   pressing in keep taking hold of the hem  of his garment believing he can heal you lord jesus i pray for this beloved person tonight  hopeful for your hand of healing over their   infirmities please lord renew their hope in you  never let them doubt that you are able to heal   give them strength comfort and direction as  they walk in faithfulness to you i ask that   you work through their body through every fiber  of their being to heal and restore them to health   no matter what lord i pray that this child  will give you all the glory honor and praise   i pray that they will be a living  testimony of what you've done for them   be with them lord be their comfort and their  peace i pray these things in your holy name amen let your head sink deep into the pillow let go  of any distractions or thoughts about tomorrow   and events of your day allow yourself to be  fully present in the here and now breathe deeply   in and out in and out inviting  god's presence to fill the room   as you listen to my voice and  the words of this spirit to send  words of comfort through this meditation   and know that his angels are here to protect  you as you rest tonight as i begin reading from   psalm 91 allow yourself to feel the security  of god's covering like a soft warm blanket   let his gentle presence cover every fiber of  your being he is your protection and your refuge   know that it is the lord who keeps you safe  those who live in the shelter of the most high   will find rest in the shadow of the  almighty he alone is your refuge   your place of safety he is your god and you can  trust him he will cover you with his feathers   he will shelter you with his wings  his faithful promises are your armor   and your protection do not be  afraid rest in his everlasting arms   as i pray over you now relax and breathe deeply  in and out inhale his goodness exhale your worries   gracious heavenly father shelter this beloved  person tonight under the shadow of your wings let   their heart fully trust in you lord as you cover  them and guard them from the terrors of the night   surround them with your angels that they might  feel completely safe and secure in jesus name do you feel his presence his protection  his safety breathe deeply now in and out   relaxing even more in the presence of god trust  the lord to send his angels to keep watch over you   allow yourself to imagine guardian angels in  the room with you they are there to protect   you so that you can rest easily  feel the warmth of the covers   and the softness of the pillow as you  sink deeper into peaceful relaxation now listen as i read these beautiful words  from psalm 91 if you make the lord your refuge   if you make the most high your shelter  no evil will conquer you no plague   will come near your home for he will order  his angels to protect you wherever you go do you believe that do you believe  with all your heart that god will   order his angels to protect you he loves  you and you can rest fully in that truth holy god please give this person  your cherished loved one perfect   rest help them to make you their refuge  and their shelter give them comfort give them comfort to know that no  bad thing will come near their home   help them sense that your angels are watching  over them tonight in jesus name i pray   amen as i share even more from psalm 91 try to  pace your breathing breathe in and exhale slowly   in and breathe out allow yourself to drift off  to sleep in perfect peace where the lord says   i will rescue those who love me i will  protect those who trust in my name   when you call on me i will answer  i will be with you in trouble   god is with you he will rescue you from every  trouble every hardship every difficult situation when you love him trust him and call  on his name yes he will be with you   feel his presence his spirit lives in you  his son jesus has saved you he is your god heavenly father be with your loved one tonight   with every breath they take  let them know you are with them let them know that your spirit dwells in their  spirit and let them be assured that the blood of   your son has made them clean whole and restored  thank you lord for protecting them tonight   in your presence and by the covering  of your angels in jesus name as i share this final portion of psalm 91 sink  even deeper into the safety and protection that   the lord offers you tonight his loving arms are  around you he is keeping you safe he is with you i will rescue and honor you says the lord   i will reward you with a long  life and give you my salvation the peace of knowing you have honor long  life and salvation is a perfect piece   that allows you to rest fully in  the lord he is trustworthy and true   feel his presence now as you breathe in and  out breathe in the warmth of god's embrace   exhale your exhaustion letting it go as  you drift into god's land of protection thank you lord for rewarding your servant  with honor and long life bless them tonight   giving them peaceful rest assuring them   of the salvation they have in your son  jesus for it is in his name that i pray now as i turn to psalm 103 let your mind  turn to thoughts of deep sleep you are at   perfect rest tonight breathe in and out sinking  deeper into the bed letting your entire body relax let every part of you praise the lord may you  never forget the good things he has done for you   he forgives all your sins  and heals all your diseases what a beautiful reminder of the good things god  has done for you he longs to give you good things   receive his goodness do you feel the goodness  of his presence he has sent angels to protect   you and it is good confess your sins before the  lord he forgives all of your iniquities thank him   raise him he heals all of your ailments  receive his healing touch his comforts   his provisions breathe deeply of his spirit  relax settle your mind and heart on his goodness gracious god please bless this person tonight  with good things that they will not forget   what you have done for them you have forgiven  them let them know they are forgiven tonight   you have healed them let them feel  completely healed by your touch thank you lord for giving your beloved  such wonderful gifts in jesus name now as i continue in psalm 103 relax  and breathe in and out again in and out   letting your mind settle on the comforting words  of the scripture god's words is truth his ways he redeems you from death and crowns you with love  and tender mercies he fills your life with good   things receive those good things from the hand of  the father for he has redeemed you breathe in and   out and let your heart praise him for redeeming  your life his tender mercies are new every morning   he has crowned you with love and mercy feel the  crown of love that he has placed on your head he fills your life with goodness   so embrace those wonderful blessings  that you have received from his hand holy god thank you so much for  showering your loved one with blessings   please continue to crown them with good  things let them know you are in the room   you are in their heart your angels are all around  protecting guarding covering in jesus's holy name and now as i close with our  final verses from psalm 103 rest   in perfect peace tonight breathing in and out in and out fully relaxed and at peace your youth is renewed like the eagles the  lord gives righteousness and justice to you   righteousness and justice let those words sink  deeply into your mind your heart your soul god's righteousness peace and  life are given to you tonight relax sleep dream of god's goodness   you will awaken renewed by the lord himself  ready to face the day with strength and vitality breathe deeper now fully  relaxed completely at ease you can know that you are protected release you  can know that you are loved refresh you can sleep   in perfect peace you can dream of god's  goodness righteousness and provision lord god surround this cherished person with your  loving presence in peace and holiness cover them   as your angels protect them help them rest deeply  and sleep through the night help them to sense your loving kindness and goodness as they  dream in jesus's holy name i pray amen would you pray with me heavenly father thank you for being with us  now and thank you for the good gift of rest   we are tired and in need of your renewal  be present with us as we sleep and protect   us through the hours of the night so that we who  are weary by the changes and chances of this life   may rest in your eternal changelessness  we pray this in the name of jesus amen now before we read from god's word  let's make sure you're comfortable   adjust the lights or the blankets if you need to   and let's take just a few minutes for progressive  muscle relaxation to get your body ready to sleep we're going to tense muscle groups one at a  time holding the tension for about five seconds   then exhaling and letting that muscle group  fully relax for 10 to 20 seconds before you move   on to the next muscle group research has shown  that this technique offers a range of benefits   including pain relief and better sleep it may  also reduce migraines and systolic blood pressure   so begin by lifting your toes  upward tensing your muscles hold then let go now pull your toes downward hold then let go good next tense your calf muscles hold then let go move your knees toward each other hold then let go now squeeze your thigh muscles hold then let go clench your hands pause now let go squeeze your buttocks hold then let go contract your abdominal muscles hold now let go inhale and tighten your chest hold now exhale and let go raise your shoulders to your ears hold now let go purse your lips together hold then let go open your mouth wide hold then let go close your eyes tightly hold now release good let your whole body relax warm  and loose as you rest in safety and pray with the psalmist  god when my anxious thoughts   multiply within me your comforts delight  me what comforts has god given you or in another translation lord when doubts  fill my mind when my heart is in turmoil   quiet me and give me renewed hope and cheer heavenly father all good gifts come from you   all hope and all cheer all comforts and  consolations you for sending your son jesus   thank you for sending your spirit  to abide with your precious child   help them tonight to abide in you to trade their  worries and sorrows for your peace and your joy   may your spirit minister to them as they sleep  give them the gifts of deep rest and true renewal it's in the name of jesus i pray amen let your breathing stay slow and steady as i  read parts of philippians 4 where paul writes   do not be anxious about anything but in every  situation i prayer and petition with thanksgiving   present your requests to god and  the peace of god which transcends   all understanding will guard your hearts and your  minds in christ jesus finally brothers and sisters   whatever is true whatever is noble  whatever is right whatever is pure whatever   is lovely whatever is admirable if anything is  excellent or praiseworthy think about such things god we want to think on the things  that you have called lovely and good whatsoever is true jesus says i am the truth   the truth shines like light that the  darkness cannot overcome like the sun   brilliant on a summer's day at the coast the  sun sparkles on the water and warms your skin   if you clamber up from the soft  white beaches to the rocky cliffs   you can see the sun lighting the landscape for  miles and miles the truth shines like the sun   and the truth burns like a fire that will never  go out like a beach campfire that keeps you warm   as you rest next to it gazing at the multitude of  stars overhead the air is only slightly chilly and   the fire is just right this fire burns away  all falsehoods and warms you with its truth whatsoever is noble what if there was a  king and queen who never abused their power   can you imagine monarchs who aren't noble  because they were born to the right parents   or owned the right land but whose  character was all goodness and kindness   these monarchs would not wear costly  royal robes while their subjects starved   they would cast off the trappings of nobility  and exchange them for true nobility of character   sharing their riches so that all in  the kingdom could flourish together   their lands would be fruitful with crops  their people live in peace and freedom whatsoever is right imagine after  hours of being turned around   making wrong turns and getting stuck in gridlock  traffic finding yourself on the right road   there's not a doubt in anyone's mind this is  the way and the road is open before you green   fields on either side the shadows of  mountains in the distance you're not in a rush   this is the way you'll get there when the time  is right so for now you roll down the windows   turn up the music and sing along the air smells  like fresh cut grass and honeysuckle and the   radio is playing songs you all know the words to  a person you love is in the front seat next to you   this is the place god has appointed  for you and it feels right in every way whatsoever is pure pure like the first snowfall  of the season thick flakes drifting softly from   the sky making the world soft and quiet the air  smells clean and cold and as the hours pass the   whole world turns white outside your window you  see neighbors bringing their toddler out to play   she's bundled up all rolly-poley and puffy  snow clothes hats and mittens and boots it's   her first snow is this a sand castle she asks  her mom who smiles she touches it tastes it   lies down next to her mom as they wave  arms and legs making angels in the snow   the purity of the landscape the purity of delight   in jesus you are made pure like that washed white  as snow god's delight in you is as pure as that whatever is lovely have you ever seen a couple  married for decades and decades still in love   picture them pushing nighty they don't move  quickly their faces are lined their skin droops   their shoulders round forward their  hair what's left of it white and thin but when they look at each other they see  all those things but they don't really see   them because they know each other inside and  out they see who they were at 20 and at 35   and at 60 they see each other not just their  bodies but their souls they love not just because   they're lovely but because the long practice  of loving each other has made them lovely holding on to each other they head out  for their daily walk around the lake   where they practice beholding all  the lovely things that god has made   the loon calling out a silvery flash of fish  under the water the soft dark soil of the path   the tall trees that existed before they did and  will continue to shade this path when they're gone whatever is admirable excellent praiseworthy  think on these things let the spirit bring   to mind those things in your life that are  praiseworthy the people the gifts of food   shelter companionship the things that are  truly excellent gifts of a loving father god all good and perfect gifts come  from you i pray with the psalmist   when i thought my foot is slipping your  steadfast love o lord held me up when the   cares of my heart are many your consolations  cheer my soul help me to fix my thoughts on you   to trust you and to rest in the truth  that through jesus i have been saved sink deeply into sleep as i read the  truth from philippians one final time fix your thoughts on what is true and good and  right think about things that are pure and lovely   and dwell on the fine good things in others think  about all you can praise god for and be glad about holy spirit dwell richly in this child  tonight abide in them as they abide in you   may this child sleep in your peace tonight and  rise up in the morning ready to seek you again as you hear this prayer from psalm 51  feel yourself relaxing falling back   and surrendering yourself into the  loving and forgiving arms of jesus   releasing the weight of your worldly cares  as you focus on the lightness of the gospel   the good news of the death burial and  resurrection of your lord and savior jesus christ   let me pray for you now o peaceful and heavenly  father you give this one your child sleep for   the refreshing of their soul and body  grant this one this gift tonight i pray   keep them in that perfect peace  which you have promised to them   whose mind is fixed on you and give them such  a sense of your presence that in these moments   of silence they may enjoy the blessed assurance  of your love through you o peaceful and loving   father be merciful to this one oh god because of  your constant love because of your great mercy   wipe away their sins wash away all evil  and make them clean from their sin tonight   tonight let them hear the sounds of joy and  gladness create in them tonight a pure heart oh   god give them again the joy that comes from your  salvation god grant this one peace so they can   sleep soundlessly and awaken with a renewed spirit  ready to face the day ahead in jesus name amen feel jesus's embrace feel jesus whispering  his love and care for you tonight as you sleep   as you continue to relax i want you  to pace your breathing as i read   scripture to you as i read the first part of  a passage i want you to very slowly breathe in   and then as i read the second part of  the passage i want you to breathe out   listen as i read from psalm 46 breathe in slowly  now as i read god is our refuge and strength   now breathe out slowly as i read and a  very present help in your times of trouble   pace your breathing in and out slowly again  as i pray over you from deuteronomy 31   breathe in be strong and courageous and out do  not fear or be in dread and in slowly for it is   the lord your god and out who goes with you  in he will not leave you out or forsake you   in the darkness now feel the presence of  christ feel the strength of his arms around you   feel the tenderness of his hands as they  rest on your head relax into his presence pace your breathing slowly as i pray  from luke 12 breathing slowly and don't   be concerned about what to eat or what  to drink don't worry about such things   these things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers  but your father already knows your needs   seek the kingdom of god above all else  and he will give you everything you need   so don't be afraid little one for it gives your  father great happiness to give you the kingdom   dear peaceful father bless this one  tonight bless them give them your peace   smile upon them and give them your  rest tonight in jesus name amen pace your breathing slowly as i pray from  lamentations to lord god hear my cry out   into the night at the beginning of the night watch  help me pour out my heart like water before you   help me lift my hands to you dear peaceful  father take the burdens of this your child   tonight their burdens can seem so heavy at  times tonight help them feel lighter more free   content safe and loved in your arms as  you take their burdens in jesus name amen pace your breathing as i pray from psalm 3  and 4 i lay down and sleep safely in peace   with a tranquil heart i will lie down  and sleep for i am alone with you o lord   help me dwell in safety and  confidence and trust in you dear peaceful father give this child  tonight restful sleep and let this time   of quiet meditation bring them peace  relaxation and sleep in your arms lord   fill this night with your radiance for them  may they sleep in peace in your name amen pace your breathing as i pray god's word over  you when you lie down you will not be afraid   when you lie down your sleep will be sweet  when you lie down no one will make you afraid   many will rejoice with you when  you lay down you will be at peace   you will sleep for the lord keeps  you safe when you lay down to sleep   behold there is an angel touching you at this your  sleep will be pleasant to you dear peaceful father   you have given this your child an  example of gentleness and humility   a task that is easy and a burden that is  light accept my prayers to give them the   rest that will strengthen them to be of more  faithful service to you in jesus name amen   pace your breathing as i pray from psalm  62 for god alone my soul waits in silence   i quietly submit to him for my hope is from  him he only is my rock he only is my salvation   he only is my fortress he only is my defense  i will not be shaken i will not be discouraged   on god only my salvation rests on god  only does my glory rest god is my rock   god is my unyielding strength my refuge is in  god alone i trust confidently in him at all times   oh god help me help me sleep help  me pour out my soul be my refuge pace your breathing as i pray from isaiah 26.  god will keep you in perfect and constant peace   tonight god will make your mind steadfast  committed focused on him tonight trust god tonight   with your sleep take refuge in god's loving arms  tonight as you see sleep be confident in the arms   of your savior tonight trust confidently in god  forever god is your fortress god is your shield   god is your banner god is everlasting he is your  protector tonight he is your rock for all time dear peaceful and restful father bring this one  your child rest and sleep tonight keep them from   tossing keep them from turning lord god you never  sleep lord god you never slumber so watch over   this your child tonight as they sleep bring peace  to their churning mind comfort their completely protecting you with his  strength you are protected under his wings tonight   you can find rest under his wings tonight you  can find refuge in the loving arms of god tonight   god's faithfulness is your shield tonight god's  faithfulness is a wall protecting you from harm   so you can rest tonight in god's presence tonight  in god's arms you have no need of fear tonight   you are in the presence and resting in the  arms of the creator of the universe tonight dear peaceful and restful  father let this resting child   feel your wings over them tonight as they rest   let this sleeping child feel the shield of your  arms protecting them from fear and harm tonight   let this peaceful soul feel the wall  protecting them from harm tonight   the wall built lovingly by you  the creator of the universe   the creator that sits now by the side of  this child as they sleep in jesus name amen pace your breathing as you listen to the story  from luke 8 breathe slowly and deeply as you   imagine yourself in the boat jesus and his  disciples are all around you you hear jesus   tell you to prepare prepare to cross over the  sea of galilee you watch as jesus falls asleep   jesus your savior curls up in the boat to  sleep you sit next to him you lean on him   as your savior rests the wind begins to hit your  face the spray from the waves you begin to feel   water at your feet you wake up your master who  is sleeping you see the look of peace in his eyes   you are in awe of that peace jesus waves his  hands perhaps without taking his eyes off of you   you feel the wind stop the waves are gone jesus  whispers to you my child have faith in me my child   believe in me you feel yourself falling  asleep in his arms as his peace surrounds you dear peaceful and restful father give this  child tonight your faith give this child   tonight your peace no wind in their face  no mist from waves no water at their feet   let them hear your peaceful voice let them hear  your loving voice your powerful protecting voice   a voice that calms storms a voice that  brings peace a voice that brings rest pace your breathing as you listen to the  word of god being prayed softly over you   breathe slow and deep as you  hear god's words for you tonight as you lay down to sleep do not be afraid tonight   as you lay down tonight let your sleep be sweet  in peace god will be with you offer you thoughtful affirmations  and reminders of who you are in christ   simple statements that allow your heart  to remember and affirm what is most true   may you rest peacefully as you are peaceful breath good acknowledge the nearness of god   as you lie down to sleep and commune  with him as your day comes to a close let's pray heavenly father i look  to you as my refuge and stronghold   it is in you that i find peace and security  with so much around me that is insecure   and unstable i recognize the gift it is to find  security in you god be near to me as i rest   king jesus let your presence fill this  room and bring peace and protection   remind me of what is true and let  my dreams lead me into your courts   i give thanks jesus for your promises  and grace in christ alone i pray amen when jesus spoke to his followers about  what it meant to be in relationship with him   he used unique language and imagery such imagery  had the power to shift what one once believed   about the relationship between god and man and to  bring an even deeper more intimate understanding it is the wonder and power of a god who walks  alongside his people a god who enters into   their world and makes a way for them to  know and follow and find security in him dear one as you continue this story  tonight let this affirmation wash over you   you are secure in christ you are secure because jesus has  chosen you and he will never let you go in john chapter 10 we find these words  spoken by jesus about his followers my sheep   listen to my voice i know them and they follow me   i give them eternal life and they shall never  perish no one will snatch them out of my hand   my father who has given them  to me is greater than all   no one can snatch them out of my  father's hand i and the father are one let yourself be carried away far from the bedroom  in which you find yourself resting tonight   to the rolling kelly green hills of ireland picture yourself journeying down  the dirt path rugged and dusty   beneath your feet you walk for miles  amazed at the beauty all around you   you follow along the three feet high stone  walls unique to ireland that line the streets   you wonder how they seem to  effortlessly flow for miles and miles look around admire the richness of the  bright green rolling hills that span   for acres upon acres covering the expanse of  the space before you the rich blue sky above   only serves to contrast the color of the earth  with round white clouds punctuating the sky above as you round a corner you come  upon a field with hundreds of sheep   raising peacefully as they  meander through the pasture intrigued and drawn to the simplicity of the herd  you decide to sit on the stone wall next to the   field the hard warm rock beneath you provides a  welcome resting place from your miles of walking you take a deep breath breathing in  the freshness of the air around you   thankful for the relief brought by your  wrist feel the warmth of the sun on your skin   the drip of sweat rolling down your brow after sitting for a few minutes you  hear a faint voice it's quite far away   unsure who is speaking or where  exactly the voice is coming from   you think nothing of it but  then something begins to happen you notice that the sheep have begun  to move they stopped their grazing and   instantly lifted their heads turning their  attention to the direction of the voice   right away albeit slowly they all begin to walk  away from the wall on which you sit hundreds of   sheep moving in the same direction and  that's when you hear the voice again the voice is calling a series of intonations  loudly and consistently and the sheep   once scattered all across the pasture have now  perked up and are walking towards the voice my sheep listen to my voice i know them  and they follow me i give them eternal life   and they shall never perish no one  will snatch them out of my hand   my father who has given them to me is greater than  all no one can snatch them out of my father's hand you are secure you are secure in the arms of your father as the sheep followed instinctively the voice  of their shepherd so you also have a voice   calling to you it is the voice of your beloved  shepherd the savior of your heart the one in whom   you find peace and grace and above all security  you have the voice of jesus that calls to you   that speaks forgiveness and love that affirms  your security and beckons you to follow in him you are secure you need not fear  that something might come against you   and take you out of his loving arms  indeed nothing can affect your belonging   you are secure because of the promises of  jesus no one will snatch them out of my hand   my father who has given them to me is greater than  all no one can snatch them out of my father's hand the sheep have learned to follow the voice of  their shepherd because of the faithful protection   and provision that he has given to them now  think how much more has your great shepherd   been faithful to protect and provide for you you  are his and no one can snatch you out of his hand you are secure when you feel insecure repeat the  affirmation i am secure in christ when you feel uncertain repeat the  affirmation i am secure in christ when you feel lost or confused  repeat the affirmation   i am secure in christ when you're  wandering meandering unsure   listen for the voice of your shepherd it's a  voice you know so well pause lift your head and   follow the voice of your shepherd he is  faithful to lead you and you are secure in him my sheep listen to my voice i  know them and they follow me   i give them eternal life and they shall never  perish no one will snatch them out of my hand   my father who has given them to me is greater than  all no one can snatch them out of my father's hand let's pray father god we find great comfort  in the presence of your guiding voice   may it be a voice that always sounds familiar  a voice we are always faithful to follow   a voice worthy of our trust and  obedience we love you jesus amen dear friend as you doze off to sleep receive this  blessing from god's word from first thessalonians   3 verse 12 may the lord make you increase and  abound in love for one another and for all   as we do for you so that he may establish  your hearts blameless in holiness before   god and father at the coming of  our lord jesus with all his saints our prayer for you may peaceful rest  be your comfort tonight and may you   wake in the morning
