you must have a catchy hook something that will attract your readers [Music] it could be an emphatic statement a quotation a line from a song or anything that can grab the interest of your readers also you can provide some background information about your topic so if your topic is about kovid19 then go and search some information about it parasai introduction mo and lastly write your thesis the last video nothing [Music] conclusion you can have a sort of generalization or summary of your essay or pardon a statement thesis statement mo you can rephrase or emphasize in another way your thesis statement para hindi copy paste you may also include additional information nahindimopanabangitsabad [Music] a persuasive essay is young call to action you have to convince your reader to do or to act in accordance to your point of view belong assurance convince motel and this is the whole point of anteloga of writing a persuasive text to convince or persuade the readers to agree with your opinion as a writer let me show you a sample of persuasive essay the title is why you should not smoke here is how the writer wrote the introduction the bible says our body is the temple of the holy spirit then why do some of you persist on smoking smoking is a hard habit to break because tobacco contains the very addictive chemical nicotine there are a lot of reasons why you shouldn't smoke some of them are that smoking affects your health that you spend a lot of money on cigarettes and that when you smoke you are not respecting people around you the highlighted sentence is the catchy hook the writer started the essay by citing a verse from the bible the next one is some background information about smoking now this part is the thesis statement it tells us the reasons why you as a reader should not smoke [Music] for the body you shouldn't smoke because it can badly affect your health if you smoke your physical condition will be negatively affected so it will be very difficult for you to succeed in sports also smoking produces lethal diseases like cancer and reduces the length and quality of your life maybe you don't notice all the physical effects of smoking immediately but you surely will be sorry one day the writer elaborates one by one the three reasons why people should not smoke and in this paragraph the writer mentioned the first reason and that is you shouldn't smoke because it can badly affect your health and then it was supported by evidence and further explanation [Music] next another reason why you shouldn't smoke is because of all the money that you spend in it maybe you start smoking only when someone offers you a cigarette but there will be a day when you will feel the need of a cigarette by this time you will pay whatever to smoke and each time you will smoke more so you will spend more money all the money you would spend on cigars could have been spent in something better don't you think here the highlighted sentence is the second reason why people should not smoke it was then further supported by additional details this comprised paragraph three of the essay for reason 3 not smoking also shows your respect for the people around you when you smoke you not only harm yourself but you also harm all the people around you you mustn't be selfish you should at least avoid smoking in front of people who don't smoke also many people don't like the cigarette smell so they won't enjoy your company would you like that and for the conclusion this is how it was written i have said just some reasons of why you shouldn't smoke so i hope that now those of you who smoke are able to think a little and try to make a smart decision in addition to all the reasons i've said i would like you to think about how much you love yourself and then whether you want to continue harming yourself think also about all the people who love you like your family who doesn't want to see you suffering or sick if you decide to continue smoking what a pity but if you decide to stop smoking congratulations remember that if you can dream it you can do it the highlighted part is a call to action [Music] the next one is additional information to further convince you the readers to agree with the writer's point of view [Music] and this part is another call to action persuading the readers to stop smoking let's also talk about aristotel's three modes of persuasion also called as rhetorical appeals these techniques are often applied to persuade readers or audience to believe in a particular point of view mahala because you may apply these principles when you write a persuasive text or essay these are the following pathos or the appeal to emotion logos appeal to reason and ethos appeal to authority [Music] if you are a restaurant owner which of the two format of menu list do you think is more appealing to the customers this is the format of menu a [Music] orange juice or strawberries and this is the format of menu b chill glass of freshly squeezed orange juice or plump ripe strawberries [Music] this is pathos a persuasive strategy that plays an audience or reader's emotion to influence the acceptance of your argument another example is gustamon mulpabilingbagon cellphone's apparent small at naplanomona musa this technique targets the emotion here is a sample statement in an essay there's no prize that can be placed on more you have to pay for your school projects you have to pay to ride in a tricycle and that is your reward for taking more responsibility now than before this technique is logos a way of persuading an audience with reason using facts and figures [Music] here is a sample statement from an essay history has shown time and again that absolute power corrupts absolutely what if naman nabalita is
