Perseverance pays off! After two years Ant is an overnight success!!

why does it feel so cold inside my heart tonight be my man is what she said it's not just the wind that's moving around tonight quick and clean don't we get it right and I've just walked in and it's a long time since I've been in here and one thing that's happened since I was being here last there's been a windstorm massive winds yeah so gosh your phone up there a little bit Ann we have to go under and over and there's lots and lots of trees that are just falling down everywhere here and I'm happy to let Ann talk as hardly I'm still puffing them yeah when I remember them I know how uh bloody camel to talk about the camel going through the eye of a needle I was trying to go under the log with a backpack on and I was stuck on my backpack eventually we got in here it's not that far from the track it's just it was an obstacle course to get in here sure was you know how this works is we're on the Terrace of a creek and we're talking when this was the bottom of the creek hundreds of thousands of years ago the creek runs right down through almost like a narrow Ravine all the way down from the range but when it got to here and this was the level of the creek this is the first spot where it opened out so it's coming through a long sluice for miles and miles then it gets here it's carrying all the gold all the waste rock that's scaled out of the bottom of the creek and it's a time of big floods huge you know 30 40 meters of water coming down at the one time when it's got here he's been that pleased to come through the Gap it's released all all that's been carrying and the good part about that is when it released it there was Stone here there was there was a stone bottom so I had two things in its favor it couldn't arrived it anymore and the stone was good enough to trap the gold so I came in here one day and I'm looking around it had already been worked by the old timers they knew what they were doing they put a water race above it they've washed all the time but there's very little gold there's very little conglomerate there's a little bit of a congrum but I've just picked that up uh I was going to say that all the stone spear but there's a little tiny bit of conglomerate on that so I'm in here poking around not getting anything and I rolled this very Stone here over we're starting to dance sitting on I rolled that over it was down in that hole on its flat and bugger me I've got four little bits under that stone yes which opened up the possibility that there's this much wash stone all over it once you move the wash down and got down on the bottom that they'd worked and they'd been putting the wash down behind them that's where the gold was they must have done terribly well because I did terribly well here and I've got two bits not that much short of two ounces in this area yes we're talking 25 years ago but they were they were here so I've worked and worked and worked and worked here it's a lot harder now than it was but I would bet somewhere in this area there's a bit of gold ant and I will be like two bulldozers we're giving an hour and a half two hours you know backs into it everything will be exciting try and get a bit of gold I was telling you about there wasn't much climate I looked down there and I saw a bloody a large conglomerate Stone as I was there's one around yeah there's more something to you yeah uh so we're changing getting gold stuck on that and almost all the gold I got was below the level of these wash Stones yeah so that's where we've got to go Aunt all right let's do it thumb up good luck mate good luck to you fella we'll find a patch and start raking yeah sure I'm packing already and tomato start has been shifting logs that you could take to The Mule and cut timber out to get down to where he wants to scrape off yeah I've just came over here I've made two preparations I took two jumpers off and had a poodle and this is where I'm going to start now this ground here that is what I want to get back down to because I'm hoping to get a bit of gold that's trapped in here but here is the stone that they've lifted off when they've been working it with the water all that time they've lifted off and stacked on the ground that I'm after so what I've got to do is make a face up here and I've deliberately picked this spot because I can pull the stone down it's usually work and it comes down behind me so all I'm doing now is I'm going to get down to that follow that up in there and hopefully get a bit the two big bits I've got the two bits that were nearly two ounces I hadn't lost them they'd never found them so they're in in holes like that in the claying holes like that yeah I like the fact that they still do it in mud here yeah because that's a good trap for gold I like the fact that you pull these down and suddenly I'm on ground that's never been detected so that's what we're doing just a little show you that to let you know what we're doing so that when we do hopefully get a signal yeah you know how we went about it yeah by the way ants caught his breath back yep right out just an update uh we're in a spot where we started off and I just drifted Stones dug Stones raked peaked and we got no signals not not even not no goal we didn't get any signals whatsoever and it was it was a notorious area for Hot Rocks wasn't it yeah lots of hot rocks hot ground false signals yeah what would have been a little bit of gold last week was it was always a redstone um the only thing I can say in my defense is I've got about I reckon probably 400 BTS of gold out of that area and of course I've done it and done it and done it and done it so uh and now it brings me to the spot wow by digging out you know we'd get it we'd at least get a few yeah pieces or at least a few signals yep so just to keep you up to date where we go yeah we put it in two hours we had a team meeting it was a bitterly uh argued back and forth and then we decided we'll go somewhere else but before we do we're having smart guys so if you're with us cheers mate real Health Mate if you're having a smoker and we're going to our next spot so hang tough and see how we go onwards and upwards Bloomington time right now you can probably tell what my face I've been eating lamington uh Angel let me stop off here for about 10 or 15 minutes it's below a roof mine and I'm not looking for gold I'm actually looking for uh where they lived I know where they live but I'm looking for signals so here's someone's dug a signal so that's obviously rubbishop well obviously non-ferrous uh Ferris rather so I iron or steel or something but on the edge of it that's definitely something uh whether it's a value to us but it's non-perished this one that's here is non-ferrous so [Music] [Music] it doesn't feel too good I can't feel any coins jumping out or anything oh there it is a little button when you can't afford I'm not sure it is a button is it it's not on the back oh I think it was a button but maybe yeah I think I think it must mean a button with a I go [Music] the the cotton went through there that bit that's broken off yeah oh well this shows his signals here that's our sum title of our [Music] detecting yep but that's interesting that signal there you know years you could have missed him because you get the rubbish and you move away and he was right there so it's a shame because it would have been a reasonable button uh if he's doing complete but yeah anyhow that's Leading The Relic challenge yeah but I am mate five more minutes when we get back in the car yep depends on doing another signal first we're taking me out and see what we got yep and let me extend my stay by five minutes and I'm just going we're just going back to the car we're literally five meters away [Music] and reluctant to shift we're going to take you to a new spot well let's roll out right now it's the end of the day I'll be wandering around trying to uh find a bit for myself and we came back to where we and had his day out last week and got the four bits out of the hoop so and what happened after that mate when we split up well came back to the little patch and of course we forgot our radio so I couldn't radio to Glenn when I had a signal but uh got myself a few little bits here I got this one come out first we'll have to put these in news Dolly part again but there's a little bit of gold yep down there and then this one was the second one and there's a bit of visible gold all right this is interesting though because up the top there yep yep and then [Music] you've just broken that one off but there could be a little bit of color in the middle not sure and that as well I think it's just beautiful why but this one that's a bit of gold as well nice little so you got two on one hoop on your original even the one on the on the Corsa heat yep that one was on the quarter Heap on your HEAP uh but the interesting thing about it is just put that one notch on your fingers in on the coil now [Music] so a little signal definite signal but listen to the signal in this bit of stone yeah so yeah I'm very keen to let's crack that open interested in yep because I think you know you can just see that little you can see yeah you can see a bit but obviously uh it's got a bigger area than that than the little one that you got yeah so if you didn't if and didn't win it last week you certainly light him up when we get back and then do it we'll weigh him and uh no contest for the weigh-in unless you just going on the way out right out fella home time let's do it Rodeo that's ants go there this one that one there with the gold showing in the corner yep gives you a big hope because the one at the back uh makes a little signal on the coil whereas this one makes big signal on the court you'll just see the gold sticking out the corner of me so without any further Ado and got three bits did you mate three bits in one Heap and one on the other or three boots all together I don't know originally when I came up answered I've got four bits I've got three yeah one Heap and one out of another something like that so I'm not gonna I'm not gonna put this one in that one no that's that's signals or anything I can get a signal in probably two hours so he left there and went to the second spot the second is there it is mate oh yeah what do we reckon he is yeah if that's point two yeah I can yeah 0.4 yep 0.4 0.49 oh I'm only half a gram right bloody good judge I am I said that on the way half man you did didn't you uh so the second spot we went to we put in a bit of time and we've got three signals between the two of us and got one bit of rust and I got a button and a sort of a boot uh attack so we panicked and went back to where we did all right last week at the start and got the little ones I went for a Wanda and stayed on the hoops and answered it glorious day yeah come home with a bit of gold yeah it's got the gold woman and it's got the throttle yeah yeah I do too when I came out of the Bush and said how'd you go and I haven't detected turned off to walk up to him and said no no I'm tall mate and gonna how'd you go you see I've got three little ones Yeah well yeah there's another one detector must have done a good job to pick that up that'll be the only trouble the scales yeah you're mostly detecting well mate yep nothing left in the dolly like to say yes but I don't think so well that affected the detector picked that up was doing a bloody hell of a job yeah it's a bloody small work well that was empty I think I'm working on serving shows I don't really trouble the scales I don't think so no it'll round it out of it 0.68.68 well that's all right because at two o'clock in the afternoon how about two in the afternoon yeah you take it mate I've asked you in the afternoon we had nothing at all Point sevens jumped up to point seven good work we'll go 0.7 and knocked out point seven so three little bits for 0.7 killed me that he uh I've got nothing wrong for no defense to offer that's all right we had a good day we did it mate two thumbs up two thumbs up ants off on his holidays yeah you had to mention a lady do you know who it is lovely Leary
