this is the first time all night that lopez has pitched from the strategy now Grossman gets a base hit into centerfield Lopez almost caught it reaching his glove up but a little too late and fans are cheering both the head and the remarkable night Jorge Lopez and this really nice gesture by his teammates to come out and remind him of what he's accomplished and they know that meds on his way nobody would have predicted that young man right there would have gone eight perfect tonight almost go all the way what a thrilling opportunity to watch that performance great job [Music]

I was at Dave Stieb's as a kid and I'd really like to see the ball that broke it up (27th batter). I remember being furious at Jorge Bell thinking he could have caught it.

Galarraga’s game is in a category all by itself. He pitched a perfect game, and Joyce screwed the pooch.
