as it seemed good to the putter to make it then the word of the lord came to me saying o house of israel cannot i do with you as this potter saith the lord behold as the clay is in the potter's hand will be on fasting and will be on fasting on thursday and on friday it will be p to t that's all those the surnames p to t will be on fasting and on saturday you to say surnames from you to said will be on fasting also i want to say to you that tomorrow at 7 00 pm we will be having a permeating and the missions and evangelism team with the english church the performance will be on praying for the physical emotional and psychological so it's the entire well-being your entire well-being will be taken care of in that prayer meeting praise be to god and on tuesday we will be having our early morning for a meeting starting at 5 00 a.m through to 6 00 a.m and our minister milton rodgers who is in charge of her will be in charge on tuesday and also on wednesday we will be having another zuma meeting at seven which the men's department will be in charge and the prayer focus will be on salvation for young men you know we have been losing so many of for young men right here in jamaica you know with crime violence lots of scamming you name it but we will be praying the men will be praying and we will be joining in with them ladies for the parameeting and so all hands on deck coming wednesday again for prayer because we pray the church prays until something happens praise be to the name of the lord and on thursday we will be having a zooper meeting at 5 00 a.m again minister rogers will be in charge and that's from 5 to 6 a.m blessed be the name of the lord and then on a friday the music department will be in charge of our zoom per meeting and we will be praying for the church population to grow physically and spiritually praise god and then on saturday morning or parameeting continues saturday morning in the sanctuary and i just want to say to those that are living closely in that area or those who can make it please ensure that you go out and support the saturday morning perm meeting god bless you as we continue to worship and at this time our pastor will be take two testimonies we have time for testimony so if there's a burning testimony that you have that you want to share we you can share it at this time i'm taking two testimonies only to phrase the name of the lord anybody have a testimony and they want to share that they did not get to share today praise god praise the lord everybody praise the lord praise the lord you know today i want you just to testify you know we must keep them you know especially when all hearts wanted me that so many things come upon us it's like would you forget it i remember when we signed off on failed promise and we sign up the white papers then we were we're saying that this is what i'm gonna give for 2022 faith promise mission that thing and and i said today i was actually i was going to just when i woke up and i woke up a little bit late and i was rushing out and when i took the taxi the taxi broke the switch this there's a kill switch but it went up it um disconnected and the car stopped right in the middle of the road with some of us and another card has come right up again and then we get to burn that car and then on my way to church i reached church no i'm a dead i'm a salaried mouth 500 and something dollars from a bus fare you know and they made the affirmatives give the money more than they are more for one of the taxes on my own like a shot as my budget that i'm going to lick the lord this week so mr lord all right then when i started in church in church same thing come to me and say um remember fear let me make a promise you know mr genome never member not involved at which week we're in our north house every week more catch up forget it for the month and i'm supposed to give you i'm a salary my situation i'm serving up more money to them another more money but the copper mine i said oh my god today i mentioned i mean i think that can you provide for the source of the year so i don't even think i must want to focus but just want to focus on the commercial true want to focus totally on peace of mind on christmas because i care about nothing woman when we care for my church let me leave it right here and i'll do sacrifice i'm gonna bring it back home it must be peace and joy and the holy ghost and something different i one must say but never know that person the one person i bring to church you know i'm gonna take up the after the the the the purse i want myself looking at the purse i'm just looking at the purse that person empty that i've not designed new person i'm gonna put not the united like when i put my card i put certain things tonight my id my driver's license no no i'm looking at it i'm looking to say one thousand six hundred dollar mr lord when i remember i put that one down to six hundred i like in here for some reason he is a wonderful guy just like i come to mind i said my river i'm a cow you know you fearfully want to do it sometime and sometimes it seems missing like has so many things i've come up and you have so many things to do i miss a lot you're a worthy to be privileged or really you remind me somebody make a promise i'm going to promise because in a whole hearty neighborhood i promise i'mma want it to be done and it's same thing i'm going to just come over to take this right so i'm going to start seeing permissions so it's a learn you're worthy i wonder what to say today and i will never get the chance so don't the sister lord brown or mike is not connected praise god wanted to testify minister robinson it's like you're getting ready i just remembered something that god did many years ago i don't invite if i shared it oh i was doing a course on english to the west indies i was doing um my degree and i couldn't pass this subject i did it four times and failed and i had given up on the idea of getting this piece of paper because i just can't pass the subject here so and it was giving me a real struggle um and god arranged it that um i i got into contact with somebody who knew the lecturer of the course and got the rest of the lecturer's heart to take me under her wings and to give me personal tutoring he said where's the lecture now i mean i was the lecturers getting personal free one-on-one um help because um i struggled in this particular subject when i was a boy and to god be the glory when the exams were done she said she was i was the first people that she was looking out for and at the fifth attempt god help me to pass and i just said that boy you know god is not only for the hereafter and the spiritual um but god is so reading our everyday little issues that bother us and hurt us and um you know whether it's a a leaking rule for our exam we can pass or whatever that struggle is no matter how we have had a bad experience in the past god is still working to help us now in jesus name praise god that is a faithful god we are praise god and just before ministera just come just join me in singing this chorus i'm but a stranger here and what we know someday [Music] oh oh [Music] able to communicate with you god you are a wonderful and a thoughtful god lord as we discuss your words i pray lord that you'll oh god help us to understand lord jesus what you'd have us to know oh god lord i pray that you'll touch your hearts and lord i pray that you'll touch these lips lord of clay oh god dwell with us as we seek to be edified by you in your precious name we pray in jesus name praise the lord everybody amen so tonight um you know um we're looking at the the benefits of prayer amen the benefits of prayer uh it is good to remind ourselves about prayer it is good to remind ourselves about the the benefits of her uh you know sometimes we would take it for granted that everybody knows by now why we should pray we take it for granted you know why why should we pray and uh when we really look the the reasons seem to be so obvious you know we pray uh because we want to we want god's help amen um we i believe as a people uh in this country jamaica most of us we grew up in church and we grew up seeing our parents praying our grandparents praying we grew up seeing so many persons praying i want to testify that when i was growing up as a child my father if he never prayed i know he prayed when we were going to take our common entrance exams i could always remember or our father you know pulling us and praying for us when we are going to take our common entrance exam because he wanted us to pass our common entrance and um i want to confess that is the only time i remember my father lenny's anzanosan praying before we go to take an exam uh he might have prayed after but um i didn't see him laying his hands because he wanted us to be successful so um he prayed so after sending us to school after all the private lessons after all of that just before the exam in the morning he would lay his hands on us and he would pray uh he's as if he knew that the only what the teacher did and all the the private lessons and all of that um there is still a chance that we might not be successful but i believe he believed that if he lays hands on us and you know really pray um we still my past no matter what the circumstances are so prayers are essential amen and there is benefits in prayer um you know i look at several scriptures uh the in 2nd chronicles 7 verse 14 it's a well-known scripture it says if my people um who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then will i hear from him and will forgive their sins and will heal their land so right there it is saying that when we pray when we humble ourselves and pray you know god will hear you know he will forgive our sins and he will heal our land so right here some of the benefits of prayer is that god will hear us he'll forgive us and he'll heal our situation amen so those are three benefits right there when we pray god hears and he forgives and he heals so those are three benefits of prayer god hearing us god forgiving us and god healing our situation whether um our bodies are our circumstances god will hear and he'll answer um i looked at some other scriptures uh you know our lord jesus christ in his humanity uh when he was about to go to the cross and um the burden was so great he prayed and that is an example for us that if god manifested in the flesh jesus in his humanity prayed when he felt so overwhelmed uh that's an example for us then when our situation seemed to be so uh great unbearable we need to pray amen so the lord jesus set an example amen praise the lord and he was not doing this just for an example he was really going through uh a painful experience and he prayed so we take it as an example praise the lord uh we looked at paul's situation also uh paul had a thorn in his flesh and no matter how gifted he was and um no matter how he he he preached the word there comes a time when his situation was so unbearable he prayed paul said he prayed three times and then the lord answered him amen so that's a benefit when we pray some person say boy um i just pray and leave it i yes we pray and we believe and just put it in the hands of god uh but many times we have to pray more than once we have to pray and continue praying until the situation is resolved so paul prayed and he said on the third occasion the lord heard and the lord said my grace is sufficient for thee i also look at the book of jeremiah chapter 29. and i think it is our verse jeremiah for thus saith the lord that after 70 years we have come to babylon i will visit you so right here the lord uh said that israel will go into captivity and after 70 years he is going to release them and uh after that he said for i know the thoughts that i think toward you say the lord thoughts of peace and of evil to give you unexpected eventually call upon me and you shall go and pray unto me and i will argue unto you and you shall seek me and find me when you shall search for me with all your heart amen sometimes we want to find the lord and we don't want to search after him with all our [Laughter] search [Laughter] until we find him so we can't just pray once or two or what let's say willy-nilly and um we have this great experience with god so prayer should be a daily thing that we you know seek after god talk to him trying to find the will of god for our lives so that's our benefit of prayer seeking after god until we find his will for if we don't find the will of god for our lives we might just be going in a circle like a a dog chasing its own tail so we need to be searching after god uh dearly to try and find his will prayer also release the power of god in our lives so when we have a relationship with god you know we there is a blessing we know when to to walk we know when to stop we know when to run when we have a good prayer life god will always be there to guide and to instruct us prayer also helps us to you know discern the voice of the lord uh you know the songwriter says there are so many voices out there but when we pray continually i believe we learn to to identify the voice of the lord or when the lord is speaking to us that's a benefit um not all times the lord is going to speak to us uh audibly in a voice i believe that god speak to us in several different ways many different ways uh the lord might speak to um uh you sister suarez in a particular way often times the lord might speak to some people in dreams uh the lord might speak to persons in situations the lord can speak to us by uh a billboard the lord can speak to us through songs but when we have a relationship um with god whatever where means the lord chooses to talk with us somehow we will identify that this is god speaking to us there is a confirmation in our spirits so when we when we pray when we seek the lord we will have direction for our lives we have this sweet communion knowing that when there is a situation you know we can talk to the lord and you know the lord will answer us and give us direction i would like to read something from jeremiah 33. it says moreover the word of the lord came on to jeremiah the second time while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison saying thus saith the lord the maker thereof the lord that formed it to establish it the lord is his name he said to jeremiah call unto me and i will answer thee and show the great and mighty things which thou know it's not uh so let us look at this situation jeremiah was a prophet and um he was called by god to do a particular work you know the lord called him to be a prophet to the nation johnny he prophesied for years uh if we are not careful we would think that because we have a good relationship with god everything is going to be smooth ceiling and you know we are going to have a trouble-free life but i this can differ from the truth not because we have a good relationship with god our life is going to be problem free because if we read the book of jeremiah carefully we would realize that jeremiah while doing the will of god on the work of god he went through some very terrible experience nevertheless god gave him the grace but when we you know we when we are doing the work on the will of god sometimes we are persecuted many times you are persecuted because while jeremiah was prophesying to the children of israel they were abusing him they place him in prison because right here what i just read in chapter 33 it says moreover the word of the lord came on to jeremiah the second time while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison so in doing the will of god and i believe he had a good relationship always praying and god answered him nevertheless he was locked up in prison there was a time that he was not just in the court of the prison but they stream in the dungeon and in the dungeon the bible said it was mire like modern filth and it the situation was so bad that jeremiah sunk in the mire but nevertheless god was with him when we have a prayer life we are confident that no matter what when we have a good relationship we there is a confidence that no matter what we know that god is with us and god will give us the grace to take us through whatever situation we are going through so i want to encourage us all you know when we are going through a situation and we know that you know our relationship with god is in right standing we just need to hold on to faith and to keep trusting god and don't let go jeremiah was not the only one that was doing the will of god and was abused are imprisoned the scripture showed you that paul the apostle many of what paul wrote he wrote from prison to the point that he wrote paul a prisoner of jesus christ so paul was writing some of his letters from inside prison but nevertheless these men they seem to have a settled peace knowing that god is with them to the point that paul didn't consider himself a prisoner of the roman he said paul a prisoner of jesus christ and having that mindset what he was actually saying that whatever i'm going through it is for god i'm doing this for god uh god is getting the glory paul a prisoner of jesus christ not a prisoner of the romans amen so prayer has many benefits amen it keeps us in tune with god and when we're going through a situation we don't have to be running and scrambling really to everywhere to find god we just know when we pray when he speaks and we say well that is god the lord is speaking and it gives us a confidence that we can go on we can go on you know we can continue our journey the battle is hot but we know that the lord is with us he has not forsaken us so these are some of the benefits of prayer i cannot exhaust all of them you know prayer gives us peace we don't have anything to to earn to cook we don't have we don't know where the next money is coming to pay the next bill but we just pray and hold to god's word he said he'll provide for us and we know that he's going to provide so prayer is for everyone prayer is for the the the rich prayer is for the poor prayer is for everybody because we have we all of our circumstances but god will be there to deliver us he promises that he'll never leave us and that he'll never forsake us so prayer is essential it gives us peace it gives us confidence it gives us that push to go on to go through another day and this is why we should always pray you know i just want to encourage somebody no matter what you are going through uh you might not be doing everything right and everything pleasing to god and yes we should be doing everything right we should be doing everything to please god we should make an effort to give our all but you know we might slip up but we should go to god and you know talk to him and confess our sins and ask him to help us we cannot do we cannot take this journey by ourselves but god promises that he'll never leave us nor forsake us and just as the children of israel they messed up terribly to the point that the things that they were doing was worse than the either nation surrounded them god punished them but he never forsake them totally he punished them until they get in their right mind and then he changed their situation so when they were punished just like we often times our children to get them on the right path you know the lord will told us to get us on the right path not because he hates us but because he loves us and he wants us to do the right thing so even though we are going some of our sore situation and it seemed never ending you know i pray that we just hold on to jesus no matter what the circumstances are no matter what the situation just keep holding on to jesus because he's going to come through for us he's going to come through for us and i'll close by saying not when we feel like we are punished we are doing the the wrong thing not because we feel burdened and punished and we feel buffeted that doesn't necessarily mean that we are doing the wrong thing god takes us through a process at times to to make us to build muscles you know to to to to make us better individuals so that we can minister to others but i would encourage no matter what we are going through whether we're going through trials or we are not going through any trials let us continue to pray and to seek the face of the lord don't let god after put trouble in our lives for us to pray let us pray whether all is well or all don't seem to be well so these are my few words i just want to encourage us to respect us free men ought always to pray and not feeling not in the good times are not just only in the bad times but
