you put forth want to be a blessing to the Mana God is the Lord now there are so many many many many things that I want to put from here and from here into you so many many many many many things it's kind of like a guy that likes to eat and he's standing at a 200 foot long buffet and he's thinking my god so many choices and so little time so but I feel like I wanted it I'm going to try to give you some things and just it's just some things that these are the things by which I live someone that is successful in living for god that's done it over a period of time long enough to literally where they do what the word says become a partaker of his divine nature it don't happen in a day it don't happen in a month and it don't happen in a year that what happens is it's one thing after another after another of us adding the applications of the Word of God and coming into the glory of God the Bible says were changed into his image from glory to glory that's why that's why pastor preaches to you that it is so critically important that you never miss church unless it's an absolute I cannot help it you know why he's wanting to see you become exactly what Jesus looks like from glory to glory and though this is some of the places where that glory happens is right here so please please please respond to the man of God respond to the man of God praise the Lord I think I want to read a scripture in James chapter number 5 James chapter number 5 how many of you know how many of you know how powerful the name is how about how about a name that's above every name how about a name that every knee is going to bow and every tongue is going to confess to you [Music] how about a name under which the whole family in heaven earth is named but you know what there's something here tonight that's more powerful than the name the Bible said he has exalted his word above all of his name so use that name every time you can but honey you better get that word in your heart you better get that word in your head thank you Jesus thank you Jesus all right James chapter number 5 James chapter 5 let's read verse number 13 James chapter 5 verse number 13 is any among you afflicted let him get on the phone tell everybody about it sit down for just a living because I'm low ahead stop middle of it y'all will be tired and if you're thinking about your legs hurting you can't think about what I'm saying and I've been taught that the mind cannot receive more than the tail-end can absorb and endure over a period of times I'm aware of that also alright so the Bible says is there any among you afflicted let them blame the preacher you know all wait a minute is there any among you afflicted let him blame it on everything they went through in their childhood let them blame everybody but themselves no is anybody afflicted let him pray don't tell me how big your problem is tell me how big your prayer is don't tell me how big your impossibility is tell me how big your God is I'm telling your prayer works I said prayer works is any among you afflicted let him pray is any married let him sing psalms I don't care if you can't carry a tune in the book it buckets you need to learn how to sing under the Lord as any among you sick as any sick among you let him call first for the 911 is any sick among you let him call for the elders of the church and let them pray over him anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord and the prayer of faith shall save the sick and the Lord shall raise him up and if he have committed sins they shall be forgiven him confess your faults somebody say false it don't say to confess your sins not to man it says confess your faults there's a time honey that you need to learn to do this right here TMI that means too much information learn to do when folks come trying to dump their sin on you you need to say hold on just a minute there was only one that was called a savior and it ain't me okay now I love you and I want you to be saved but you know what have you ever seen somebody that was driving a little old bitty truck and had had about half of had about half of the barnyard up in the back of that truck that bumper is almost on the ground that's what you look like when you let people dump on you stuff that you ain't equipped to be carrying around now you know what you don't think much about it if you got a great old big 4 ton or 5 or 6 ton flatbed with that kind of stuff on it but you put it on your little Toyota baby and I'm telling you you're going to have problems so why don't you let God to help you to help them to understand there's a God and there's a man of God that's gonna help you I'm not equipped to do that now I know there's I know there's nobody in Florida like this but I met some folks in Oklahoma that they like to be in the know about what's going on in the congregation they can't contribute they can't help the problem any but they like North gives them a little feeling of power let me just tell you like the book says it he who medallist with strife that don't belong to him it's like a person taking a dog by the ears just about the time I stretch my hands out get ready to get a hold of something that don't belong to me I remember that verse and I said no no that dog might have rabies I'm gonna stay back away from that dump that dog food now I know there's nobody Florida like it but I've met folks in Okemah and they said well honey you tell me about it because I want to help you pray well hallelujah thank you Jesus so listen tell me please remember please remember God has equipped people in this building he's equipped people in this church to do that he's equipped people in this place to know what to do to know how to give a word in season so let me get back up here I'm about to get off track here confess your faults one to another and pray one for another that you may be healed the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much I want to talk to you for a little while on subject of and I don't know how long over I'll go I just I feel like talking to you on the subject of the prizes of Prayer the prizes of Prayer now I'm going to tell you why people go to the casino now I guess y'all have casinos down there we have casinos in Oklahoma all over the place now I'm going to tell you why folks go okay it's not because they want to lose their money that's not why they drive down there they go in hopes that they're going to be the one that wins that big ole four-wheeler or that nice car that pretty truck or that jackpot they're hoping that they will be the one that's the lucky one but can I tell you something darling on your best day of women your best thing honey I'm telling you now I want to put my money in something that's going to last and stand the test of time I want to put my investment in something that I know is gonna learn eternal dividends so that's it so remember the Bible says the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much the prizes of Prayer greater than anything you could ever win the Reader's Digest sleep escapes greater than anything you could ever win it up at a casino or whoever I'm telling you baby there's some prizes that you can get in prayer that will supersede anything and everything that you could ever wrap your hand around and say this is my prize I have won a prize so I'm talking about the prizes the prizes of Prayer now it doesn't say I want to I want to stretch your thinking a little bit tonight I want to stretch your thinking a little bit tonight you see you need to get some concepts and principles in your mind about prayer if you don't have the right attitude about prayer you're not going to be able to be effective in prayer if you don't have some kind of an idea of what all prayer can do and the prizes that prayer can produce in your life you're not going to pursue prayer the way God wants you to pursue prayer I remember I remember I'd been raised around the church and had been out all through my teen years and got into drugs and the hippie scene and all that business and finally the Lord allowed me to come back before I was even out completely out of my teen years and I decided when I came back to God I decided I'm going to give God as much as I gave the world and my flesh in party and the devil I decided I'm going to give him as much now I think you ought to give God as much as you gave the devil and your party life so so I began to give myself to God I began to give myself to God and and finally the Lord after a few months the Lord put a call on my life to ministry and a few more months went by and I had a pastor that called me and asked me to come and speak for him and so I went in the prayer place and I started praying this is something I want you to get in your head tonight this concept and and I prayed I've been by the clock I prayed like three hours without stopping three hours and at the end of that three hours I remember getting up and walking into the part of the house and I mentioned to my mama I said mama I just got through praying three hours she looked at me and here's what she said what did he tell you you know what happened right then there was a concept and a foundational principle that was etch deep in my mind and that is this when you spend quality time with Jesus you need to expect an answer you need to expect the Holy Ghost to speak into your spirit and into your mind now when the Lord saw I mean I made that part of a foundational principle when I get down to pray I'm telling you I fully expect God to talk to me now how do you how do you know and how do you safeguard because there's a lot of voices out there the Bible says there are many voices many many voices and the Bible says and none are without significant so all the voices have something to say seemingly so how do you figure out what was God and what was you and what was the devil you know what when you get that word in your head and in your heart you know what it becomes it becomes a filtering and immediately when you feel something from God you can run it through this filter of the book and you know what you can tell immediately whether that was God your flesh or the devil because the word never changes baby the word never changes never changes so what I did I begin to commit to memory everything I could about the Word of God and when I'd hear something or feel something in the spirit I would immediately began to try my best to find a way to see what the Builder the Word of God says I've had people tell me before Michele Oh God told me to marry that woman over there and there have been times I think has it ever occurred to you that woman's already married once here so you know what if God's saying you think to marry that guy or that gal over there and they're already married that probably God okay praise God it might have been your lust talking to you and what we like to blame it on the devil sometimes it's just pure the old flesh pure the old flesh so remember you can fully expect when you talk to God you need to expect him to answer you and talk back to you and give you information and tell you things but there are prizes that you can have in prayer now this is a concept that I live by and that is this your problem now think in your mind I'm talk about your problem okay your problem think about it the thing that just came up your mind can I tell you something that's going to be a little shocking to you that thing that came up in your mind that's really not your problem prayer is your problem because prayer can do anything that God can do because prayer moves God so you know what rather than rather than just talking about God I've got this problem I've got this problem I've got this problem why don't you get in his presence and stay in his presence and I'm telling you what will begin to happen if you say they're in prayer long enough God's going to begin to burn that thing out of you and burn that thing off to you your problem is not your problem where is your problem so you said well well I'm just telling you right now you don't know my boss you wouldn't feel that way if you knew my boss well I've had I've had some bosses too okay and there's someone that I remember right I asked God to kill him and he didn't do it you know what he did he made him more aggravating toward me you know what happened then it wasn't it my prayer wasn't working it was that God wanted that man to grind some rough edges off of me that I wouldn't grind off myself [Applause] [Music] [Applause] you know it'd be kind of like kinda like this mic stand here or this this little deal here or or that chair or anything this podium even this little deal right here those are tithing envelopes in case you don't pay ties if there's any thieves in the building that'll get you fixed up right there when they yell didn't jump up is quick on that one if you did that other stuff come on whoo I think I hit a stump right there let me just hang on here a second hey this old boys want to marry this guy's daughter and she was pretty Sun woo she was fine he went tourney center he went to the old boy and he said I want to marry your daughter said she's a pretty thing I've ever seen Oh daddy said I agree with you son he said I'm telling you I'm in love with her he said I don't doubt it some he said I just have one question he said that you returned tithing to God and they looked at the old dad and he said yes sir I do but what does that have to do with this he said let me tell you how I figured son he said I figure any men they'd cheat on God to probably cheat on my wife eventually he cheat on my daughter eventually I'm gonna tell you right now listen to me baby if you're gonna cheat on God and you know what I'm gonna watch you baby if you are still from God I'm gonna keep an eye on this bill pool hall I'm out there walking around okay good answer so I summit I'm tumult embosses that's talking about dim bosses that kind of grind on you a little bit let me tell you someone this right here was made what's this I only have to watch what I'm doing one not one splinter you know why because during the building of this thing somebody stopped and took the time to smooth out every roughage so when the good sisters with their tender fingers come up here to get them a Kleenex and everybody else that wants to be honest with God and go to heaven comes up here - you want them tithe and envelopes they don't have to get distracted by getting splinters and the bangers and can I tell you something darling when God leaves people in your life that are grinding your corner it's because he wants you to go to heaven he plan to mistreat you he's trying to get you to a place called heaven and he knows I gotta let something work there with edges off of them you can see them will take a bit tithe and subject tomorrow a little more from again our Sunday when we got to rest the crew here so you understand so prayer prayer is not going to remove somebody from your life probably that God wants them in your life to grind on your flesh if a grain of corn unless the grain of corn fall into the ground and die it abideth alone but if it dies it'll bring forth much fruit when you come to the place that you say I'm going to die out to my will I'm going to die out to my ways I'm gonna die out to my nature I'm gonna die out to my family traits that's when God says I believe I can use that man right there I believe I've used that woman right there so please remember your problem is not your problem prayer is usually always your problem now the old timers back years ago they had a term that sometimes us younger folks I'm 56 that's kind of well me and him both fixing turn 57 okay it would be all right so but anyway some old timers would make the statement they'd say somebody be going through something that's a you just need to pray through and I still hear that but it's taken on a different meaning today then it had 50 or 75 years ago when them old timers said you need to pray through you know what they meant they meant getting in a place of prayer and staying there until the problem was resolved they weren't talking about praying until you talked in tongues a little bit they were talking about praying until the you felt in your spirit God has fixed this Scituate [Applause] our our using our general superintendent from several years ago name was and rehearsin he told me told us one time I was at a meeting he told us he said listen he said my daddy got me one night he said we need to go pray for sister so-and-so she's at the point of death and we need to pray for her so they got in the car together they drove to that sister's house and they went in there and and they both knelt down beside the bed and they started praying they had prayed for about 15-20 minutes and and brother Anderson he gets up and his daddy's still over praying but the Nathaniel ursin he was he was through but Andrew her she was daddy the old daddy was still praying over and finally when Nathaniel ershon got up he said to his daddy sin you bout through we've been in here about 30 minutes or so and his daddy looked at me said nothing through she's still in the bed I wonder what happened in this church if every time one of your brothers and sisters came into this church scared out of their mind saying I got a prognosis of cancer you see you know one if it prayer without ceasing work to get Peter out of the prison prayer without ceasing to work to get my brother out from under the weight of that prognosis in their life I'm talking about the prizes of Prayer I'm talking about the prizes of Prayer so they continued praying I don't think two or three hours it took and after about two or three hours of prayer and all of a sudden the ladies set up on the bed and started talking in tongues raising her hand got out of the bed and said I am totally and completely healed and got up started about our business can I tell you the good news that God cannot change that God said I'm the same yesterday today and forever I'm talking about the prizes the prizes the prizes of Prayer unions to them the prizes of Prayer you know I remember I remember when I had first prayed back through the Holy Ghost I was so so hungry for him I'd go and I'd work my shift and I'd work eight hours and run home and take a shower and then I'd drive to the church and I'd get right down here in front of the podium in the floor and I'd start praying and it wasn't long until most days a spirit of intercession and travail would come upon me until literally it felt like when I got through praying it felt as though the stomach muscles right in here extremely sore and there might even been some carpet burns on my forehead and my eyes might be a little swollen maybe even a blood vessel broke in my face or something but you know what happened I just kept doing that and kept coming back and pray it what were you praying about by the Shatt well sometimes I didn't know but can I tell you something if you don't understand what the concept of intercessory prayer is listen to me here's how you get started okay you get in a deep place of prayer and get to talking in tongues and begin to picture in your mind the person or the thing that you wish to focus your prayers and attention upon and you know what you'll find you will find yourself in intercessory prayer moving things and coming out of there the prize is a prayer that God really wants you to have so I want to learn how you know the thought occurred to me one time probably the main difference between me and Jesus contrary to some opinions I think maybe sometimes the difference in the contrast between me and him is not just the fact that he received the spirit without measure it might have been the fact of the discipline of devotion with which he lived but the cook mentioned to me about some of you people trying to make a consistent thing out of maybe praying all night I really need to warn you about stuff like that because it's going to cause some things going cause some things to happen for instance somebody's going to be in your seat new people is going to be in your seat that's the kind of problems that's going to cause all of a sudden that's gonna be standing room only all of a sudden we like the week we got there we got to get bigger facilities I'm telling every one of you that have that desire come over you too want to try to pray all night long let it go ahead but I'm telling you it's going to cause some mighty awesome problem the best kind of problem you can have now you know the Bible the Bible tells us in 1st Samuel chapter 15 for Samuel 15 in verse number 30 I believe it is now let me tell you very just very briefly Saul was the first king anointed over the children of Israel tell me when you get when you get that there brother he was the first king anointed over Israel and he started out really good it looked really good in fact he was he was trying to put that up there when you get he was trying to the people samuel was all distraught about it he said God look you know and the Lord said listen they had rejected you they rejected me and asked for a king so the Lord allowed Saul to be the king and from the get-go from the get-go every time that him and the man of God the preacher had any kind of interaction there was always a difference of opinion always and every time brother cook every single time that Saul that Samuel had to deal with Saul it was a wrestling match it was one human will against another human will listen to me folks listen to me listen to me I'm an authority in that man's life right there I'm an authority in that man's life and if he does something down here that ain't right you know what he has granted me the authority in my life to rattle his cage you understand so don't look at him like he thinks he is now he understands that I've got authority over me that's why he's got Authority but listen to me please whatever in the name of the Lord you do don't let it be that every time he's got to deal with you it's like a mental wrestling match that goes on and he's got to convince you nine ways from Sunday to get you to do what he's asking you to do whatever happened to just saying man of God you know what if that's what you feel I trust you I've been trusted my soul to you I'm gonna do it well soul it wasn't that way soul would argue with Samuel every time they had an encounter finally finally the day came that the Lord spoke to Samuel said tell Saul to go utterly destroy the Amalekites utterly destroy him completely annihilate them kids mama's grandma's grandpa's animals everything so he goes down there sold us and he saves a bunch of cattle and he saves the king his name was a gag and here comes the man of God the man of God walks up and what's this here's what Saul does he said oh I salute you in the name of the Lord I have obeyed the commandment of the Lord and they will preacher Saul thread he said you had huh he said well what's this low end of the cattle and the bleeding of the Sheep if you've obeyed the word of the Lord and you know what he immediately began to do he began to say well he said first first of all it was the people the people brought the sacrifice he blamed everybody under creation except himself and finally finally when Sam when Samuel turn and started to walk away the Bible said that Saul reached up and grabbed ahold of his coat and it ripped and the old prophet turned around he said even as you have torn my coat he said so the Lord has ripped the kingdom out of your hands watch what this guy says after he finally now listen I'm telling you the Prophet the preacher the man of God had to get him in a headlock had to convince him nine ways from Sunday because he wouldn't he wouldn't say I've sinned have you read the story about when David sinned with Bathsheba and had Uriah killed when that old prophet Nathan came in that courtroom and told him this little story and David's all mad and the Prophet looked at him pointing his finger in his face he said you're the man David didn't say but wait a minute she shouldn't have been out during the yeah I turned her birthday suit taking a bath hello he didn't do that you know what he said I said you me tell you how to make it to a place called heaven quit trying to cover your sins when you mess up and get them to the altar get them under the blood don't be blaming anybody else I don't care what your mama did I don't care what your aunt did I don't care what your family did I'm telling you when you sinned be quick to say I'm guilty but I want to be forgiven so when he finally literally pronounces judgment on soul and he's turned around to walk away listen listen to what King Saul says to Samuel what's this then he said after all this long you can read it chapter and a half of wrestling around he said okay I have sinned look at this yet honor me now I pray thee before the elders of my people you me tell you how to get on a fast track to hell and destruction and failure it start to want an honor even when you're not living right you still won't pastor patting you on the back even when you ain't been doing what you know you're supposed to be doing you better be careful darling you better be careful he said okay okay okay I've sinned but make me look good honor me now I pray thee before the elders of my of my people and before Israel what's this and turn with me that I may worship the Lord I want you to get up here beside me preacher I want you to make me look good in front all the congregation so everybody still think I'm spiritual and I'll tell you something the prizes of Prayer will be a private of river forgiveness coming to you from the Lord I'm telling somebody in this house whatever in the name of God you do let God know when I send out sin and I need forgiveness oh Jesus the prizes the prizes a prayer the prize is a prayer I am I worked in a machine shop when I first prayed back through the Holy Ghost in and man I'm gonna pay something I really really looking back on it I was I was putting out some pressure in the spirit world I really was you can apply tremendous pressure in the spirit world you just stay after it you can absolutely apply tremendous pressure well there was a guy that I worked with and his dad had been a Pentecostal preacher he had lost out with God and he was very against God Church preachers and everything else full of full of rebellion full of of unforgiveness bitterness he was he had it all well me and him we worked for a while together on third shift at the at the factory where we worked and so I began to pray for that guy that I worked with because he was so hard here's what he did one night trying to get me off of it you know you've read the scripts the scripture in the Bible that says if anything will be forgiven you accept blasphemy against the Holy Ghost you know what that dude did we stand around there one night and I was trying to talk to him and he was full of bitterness he said I wish you'd leave me he said look at this what's this he said I blaspheme the Holy Ghost he screamed it out and he turned him in looked and said now will you leave me alone well I didn't because I didn't feel to leave him alone you know what I did I skip praying kept praying as I was running I was running and in good shape I was running lifting weights all the time look kind of like your pastor does now and I was I was running I was in good shape and I knew my body really well because I exercised all the time and so I was praying and I was in travail and I was I was drawn up into a fetal position and while I'm praying I'm in my body well okay while I'm praying this is exactly what it sounded like inside of my body sound just I guess he went and I stopped at me left Oh God because I've been interceding and I thought I have torn a muscle loose somewhere in my stomach that's honestly what I thought it was I thought that a muscle had torn loose and it sounded like you'd tore tendon in two or something and as soon as I stopped and I said oh god just like that the Holy Ghost Oak to me and said that was not in you that was in that boy you're praying for listen to me can I tell you I was ready to go to work oh I was ready to go to work cuz I thought Jesus this is gonna be fun hey I walked in there after all a second shift got out of there and I had my machine running he had his machine running and he walked down to the end of his machine I walked down then mine and I just walked down I just looked at him I said how are you tonight and a look of fear came in his eyes and stand him there before my eyes it literally looked like you took an autopsy saw and started right here and started splitting him open right here cutting him in half it went all the way I watched it go away down his body to his growing and then literally his physical body was completely opened up I could see his heart I could see his I could see his loans and I could see all of his in in internal organs but the thing is when I looked up I could see every lie every scheme every little subterfuge that he had used to try to get me off the trail I saw it all just like that and when that happened he felt it and sensed it also and he went just like this ow and he hid his face and ran away from me I wonder who it is in this house that God is wanting to put the prize a prayer on you that when you walk by people on your job you walk by people in the convenience store they stop and turn around and look at you and say my god I don't know what it is on you but I need you to pray for me something on you that I mean [Applause] so it was about 30 minutes or so before he came back he finally came back out from wherever he had been hiding and he came I got walked over to him and I said I said see what happened to you men to go over I'm talking to look at error I said what happening over I said God kind of knocked it all down a little bit and with tears forming in his eyes he looked at me and said David listen man I've lied to you I've done all kind of stuff but will you meet me in the morning we get off of work I want to talk to you because I want to get right with God I'm talking about the prizes of Prayer they can lock their door on you they can turn their phone off on you but they cannot stop prayer I'm talking about I'm talking about the prizes the prize is a prayer the prize is a prayer I'm telling you that Jesus will do stuff in prayer I was I was praying one day in the front move of our home me and another preacher I've been in intercession for probably 45 minutes and in the middle of that prayer there was a like a void from outer space that settled down over me I literally couldn't hear anything outside of that couldn't hear that other preacher couldn't hear cars going by couldn't hear anything it was just total it was like I was in a void of outer space and it settled down on me and the Lord spoke to me in that void and here's what he said he said David to be the man listen to be the man that you are he didn't say to be the man that you will be he spoke to me about stuff that I never dreamed of then that is happening now in my life and he said because he could see it just as easy as he could see 20 or 30 years ago he can see it all he can see eternity there and it turned in there in that little bitty short place called time in the middle he can see every bit of it [Applause] but he said to be the man that you are you must be constantly broken constantly yielded and literally it echoed in that chamber so you know what I pray every day of my life here's what I pray I did it this morning I pray Jesus help me today to be a broken man now I don't ask him to let the world break me I don't ask him to let health break man I pray Jesus help me to be a broken man this day constantly broken constantly yielded before your throne by your hand and according to your will and your purpose alone and you know what happens there's giftings of the Spirit that when they turn on and activate in me it's when there is absolute total brokenness flowing through me and there's authority I'm telling you there's authority like you can not believe but almost every time that tremendous authority happens it's in the middle of brokenness so listen to me don't practice being pretty when you pray practice getting down to business when you pray until demons are shaken up until hell is quivering I hear God my God my God yeha yeha otaku Nomura Bahat ah come on it's turn the turn this back into some prayer time right now I feel like I'm I feel like I'm through with the world for tonight but I'm telling somebody there's some prizes that awaits you in prayer if you will but press beyond your flesh if you but press beyond your human spirit if you but press onto the beyond the place where you feel like you're finished and just press on a little bit further I'm telling you you're going to begin to wrap your hands around and you're going to begin to embrace with your arms the prizes that can only be had in prayer my friend come on I'm asking everybody I don't care where you do it come on I don't care where you do it would you find somewhere I don't care if you're walking up and down I don't care if you're kneeling I don't care if you're laying down but let's find that let's find the place of through that resistance right now come on if I could show some of you all the prizes that await you in prayer you'd push you push through any barrier you'd push through any thoughts you'd push beyond any feelings tonight [Applause] everybody hang on just a minute I buy this everybody's brand look raise up and look at me here just a second if something I want to show you come here I want to show you something here watch don't you just stand facing this way stand that there okay I want you to stand right there facing this way and you stay right where you're at now watch this I want to show you a concept in prayer if you want to pray a long time and you don't really know you know here's one of the things that I do if you want to go into deep prayer and do it for a while when you begin to pray you'll pray along for a little bit and you will come up to something that will either be that will either be thoughts of something you need to do or just anything that's a distraction to prayer and here's here's what you've got to do mentally and emotionally and spiritually I'm going to show you physically what I'm telling you to do spiritually and emotionally okay and it's like this you're praying along and you come up against something that just stay where you where it blocks it distracts you from praying do just like this it's like I'm walking through a room and it's almost pitch black on your spare let's see and when I get this close and it's something that would distract me or whatever I do just like this in my spirit I go just like that I don't care if it's a I don't care if it's a bad thought I don't care if it's a thought that has to do with your duty are just dumb stuff that comes in your mind if you remember when you come to that and that you see that there's something that would try to distract you do just like this turn away just like that turn away and then keep going when you run into something else that anything that that life your own human spirit your own imagination your thoughts are putting away you just like it's turn away turn away from anything that's flesh or anything that would be a distraction turn away from it now here's what happened if you do that if you do that six or seven times and you turn immediately away from something that would distract you here's what happens next if you keep pressing here's what will happen then you're coming along when you have turned aside from it you get to a place in prayer to where when you come to something that's a distraction God literally if you'll close your eyes while you're praying I've had God do it to me I can't tell you how many times the thing that would be a distraction God literally will take that thing and change it and transform it into something to charge my prayer and make my prayer hotter than it was I remember one night I was in the sanctuary and I was praying and there was a chandelier hanging down ahead like six or eight bulbs on it and I'm praying long and I'm really I'm trying to get deep in the spirit and and I raised my head up like that and I had my eyes open or had them closed just barely but it's enough where I could still see those lights and immediately it was like the thoughts in my flesh work now there's some gun lights that we need to change but immediately I got into a place in the spirit it was like I saw that and like immediately there was another allegory or another example of what those could be and it was all something like that's the glory of God shining down from like spotlights down into this place and it began to cause my prayer to become supercharged in the Holy Ghost it's almost like it's almost like God begins to put a different interpretation on the distraction and makes it turn into something to make your prayer better rather than something that's hindered okay so that's nice now watch this you can sit down you guys can sit down there here's another thing when you begin to pray and you start out at the very beginning of prayer here's something that I do this is something that I just do like when I'm all by myself when you've got 50 other people with you or whatever it you know it's a little bit different because you can feed off of their prayer some okay unless they're doing something to distract you something but so here's what I do here's what I do and it's happened to me I I came in I started praying and I felt myself in prayer come to a door it was like a door and I knew that it was a room and I knew that inside that room it was like a living room or a bedroom and somebody had pieces of furniture all around in it so in prayer I stepped into that room and I felt the door closed behind me and I began to pray talking in tongues and I literally walked around that room and I could feel myself encounter each piece of furniture in that room in a total darkness I was just praying I could feel it and then I went on and I got touched something else and I could feel it I went on I touched something else not until I'd covered every piece of furniture and it was like I touched everything I say furniture everything in that room that needed touched I prayed in tongues over each one of those things and all of a sudden I got this feeling of completion that my prayer I had completed it and I felt the Holy Ghost say okay I'm finished if and all of a sudden something came up way back in the back of my mind I wonder if there's another door beyond this room so here's what I did I started all over like it was brand new and here's what I started doing because the Spirit of the Lord had lifted I felt the completion feeling I felt like I'm through the Holy Ghost felt through but there was a hunger yet in me and so I started going like this it's kind of like phew y'all's probably old enough to remember this but I remember I had some kin folks that were kind of primitive and they had one old live out in the middle of the room and it hung down and it had it had a little chain it was a string on it hung down and you could Oh buddy he might know one tone that it was but you could reach out you what you did know when you came in that room it was dark enough you didn't know where that thing was at use having to go like this that's exactly what I did in the spirit wanting to reconnect to go beyond that first room and so I started going like this honest to god I start going I close my eyes and it's in the dark and I said I go Jesus and it's like I was listening Jesus just like if somebody was in this room and every light was out and you knew these in here somewhere and you started calling their name I said Jesus Jesus and all of a sudden I felt he would start coming on me Jesus Jesus Jesus I want you and you know what happened I began to talk in tongues and I felt myself in a second room I felt that door closed behind me and I started around again and I touched everything I prayed over everything in that room I touched it and I prayed over it and I went all the way through that room and all of a sudden I got to the end of it after probably 20 minutes of prayer and I got a completion feeling and the Holy Ghost was like okay you can quit but there was another hunger that came up and I thought I wonder what's beyond this room so I just started over from scratch because the spirit would lift and I started saying like I'm looking for that old cord in the room you know I'm going Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus hey I challenge you to do that just get in the room all by yourself turn the lights out and just start acting like you're looking for you and you remember woman's kids we used to play that game called hotter colder and when you'd picked an object in the room and when they'd get closer you say well you're getting little warmer now you get a little warmer they'd go Pat you say oh you're getting cold now you can do that Saint it's child's game but I'm telling you jesus said except you be converted and become as a little child you're not even getting in the kingdom of God okay then I watch it so I started going I literally literally I started going Jesus and I felt it getting a little hotter a little hotter Jesus Jesus and then I felt his presence start coming on me and I start talking in tongues start talking in tongues and again I felt the door closed behind me and I started around that room and I prayed over everything that was in that room I touched everything that needed touched when I got to the end of that one and I felt that completed feeling Jesus came to me and here's what he said he said David today you have prayed my list instead of your list [Applause] you talking about intimacy with God oh I listen I'm gonna tell you some those kind of those kind of places when you visit those kind of places let me tell you what it does when you walk out of them people walk by you and they go like this they feel something they feel something I'm telling you you might not have anything that would be attractive to anybody in the world but when you got Jesus in you the eternal being inside of him it senses that and it'll begin to reach out for it so remember remember and and if you want to pray a long time and you run out of stuff to say remember talk in tongues pray in tongues pray in tongues and you know what I've got to the place there's been a few times not often but I've got to place a couple of times to where it was like I didn't have the unction to speak in tongues and I have literally went like this because I knew that I could pray in this private I don't know what else to say but I knew that Jesus could pray like Romans eight said you know could make intercession with groanings and others I knew that so I've literally done like this I said Jesus when it when it when there's a lot of stuff between me and em I said Jesus I want to free flow the Holy Ghost and I want to talk in tongues and I want to do it now and then I just start going Jesus and then I listen it's like sending sonar around waiting for it to come back Jesus I've even told him I I've even said Jesus where you add Jesus Jesus Jesus ela boho-chic on Amara Baja a lorry ton Dada come da da da they all and the Spirit of the Lord would come on me and a flow would begin to happen and I could spend more time in the presence of God I'm telling you folks there are prizes they're prizes in prayer they're prizes in prayer I've went to Jesus and I've asked him to take care of things God I'm telling you there's prizes in prayer this is this I'm working third shift years ago working third shift get ready to get married and and I looked at that woman I'm married and I said I said I don't need to be working all night and her up in that bed by herself so we don't have that only problem was there was three guys in front of me seniority wise before I could get that machine I was running on day shift three guys in front of me now you might think this is crazy but I said Jesus I want to sleep with that woman at night every night and these other guys are in my way and I ain t that I want you to change it or do something listen before we got married ever one of them did something to get demoted seniority wise and I had the day job and all of them came back to work that they were under me seniority wise and I had the thing on day so I could be home my momma [Applause] hey hey you know what listen to this I probably tell this to everybody to Saturday or Sunday but listen to this wives husbands you ever get to the place - you don't you just look at that person you've been married - why are you thinking they just don't create much of a spark in my life anymore well you know what I hope you don't play ignorant and go flirting with some heckler that ain't your wife you know what you better do you better say Jesus I need you to renew my love for my mate and if you'll do it he'll do it and you'll have a little heaven down here on earth clap your hands for the law [Music] [Applause]
