Hey! Welcome back to my channel. This video is going to be a traditional recipe from my country that is Portugal. And these are called Pasteis de Nata. And they are custard pastry cups. Very delicious I'm sure that if you've been to Portugal already, you remember these because they are everywhere and they are so so good I think that is really nice that I can share a bit of my culture with you guys and also I know that in most of the countries they don't sell this so if people miss it, or really like it and want to try it now they can watch my video and and make these themselves at home. Ok, so lets get started you need six hundred grams of puff pastry. You can use already made or you can clic here for the recipe you will also need a lemon ring; 7 eggs 500 grams of sugar; 60 grams of flour; 500 ml of milk and 250 ml of water. You will need two pans for this and what you want to do first is in one pan put the water and the sugar together put it melting in a very low temperature. And keep steering sometimes At the same time, in another pan, you want to put your milk and your and your lemon peel. And then put your flour and mix it all until it's very very very well mixed heat op on medium heat for about five minutes when your sugar is dissolved and your cream looks a bit more thick like this add the sugar syrup and steer for a little while take it out of the heat and let it cool down. Now just grab your 7 eggs and separate the egg yolks from the egg whites at this point you want to preheat your oven at 220ºC. while the custard is cooling down get your puff pastry role it until it looks like this and then make a role out of it and cut it into equal pieces with more or less 2 cm thick now you will need a muffin tray or individual molds like these grab a piece of pastry, placed it in this position inside the mold and shape it as thin as possible mix the egg yolks with your cream feel you cups with custard and place them into the oven at 220ºC for about 18 min until the pastry looks golden and the custard have this brown spots on it. Then you just have to take them out of the molds and that's done! You can eat them either warm or cold and if you want you can sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon on top I truly hope that you liked this video. If you did please give it a big thumbs up and make sure to subscribe to my channel. If you make them at home yourself please hashtag me in one of your pictures because I would truly love to see them. That was everything I had to show to you guys today. I hope you all have a great weekend and I'll see you guys next week. Goodbye!!
