Part 4 - Dumpster Diving on College Move Out! Stopped by Cop and *Final Haul Reveal*

good morning you guys welcome back this is day four of waking up super early in the morning to come dumpster dive on the college campuses the students are moving out they're throwing a ton of stuff away so we are hoping to find it so recognizable all right we got a few items there's a car coming so i'm gonna wait because there have been a lot of cops driving around but i'm gonna pull up there because alex is checking my other one oh yeah this was all that was here yesterday morning okay you want to check those other ones down there oh yeah laundry basket yeah cause i like to put the stuff in it that i find oh it's dark out here y'all sorry i'm gonna put this up here oh yeah another one oh my god i bet they're all gonna turn i think oh that one okay okay nice we [Music] are having trouble checking them because it's so dark we don't want to use flashlights because there's a lot of unt like patrolling the campus and flashlights are just going to attract them and so we're trying to do it under the cover of nightfall but it's not really um bright it's too dark we are gonna come back to these in a little bit when it's just a little bit brighter but we did find a lot of stuff already i just grabbed this nice bag great for diving wow that is the moon the moon rising over the dumpster so there we go we got a lot of good stuff back here oh god okay oh my god oh my gosh okay i tripped so okay good stuff we're going to the next spot okay oh we made it work yeah here we go oh look they cleaned up beside that small one and they probably threw it all in the big one yeah so let's dig through it again for the second time we're back nice this one's pretty lit so so nice okay that was a good one that was a good one got a bunch of stuff in the truck bed found a whole bunch of clothes cute pillow all right we're gonna go find more more dumpsters [Music] oh wow it is full you just like couldn't tell from the top so all right i just found a bag that had some good stuff in it here's a wallet another wallet [Applause] you have a knife another wallet oh wow i have so many brand new headbands oh nice brand new candle oh it smells good oh my god it's like mary poppins bag i keep thinking it's done okay i've never seen drawers like that very nice cool okay wow this is like a different start from our weekend you know the last couple days but this is awesome sweet keep going let's keep going in fact maybe we should move on oh maybe we should move on i don't know yeah we don't really keep going all right this is some student housing on campus and i already see a bunch of clothes right here oh wow this is a nice cooler bag the doordash bag yeah cute if we need another bag oh look they're all in bags wow i didn't think all of those would be closed and there's more clothes in the dumpster i'm gonna start using this doordash bag at the community market it's so big [Music] beautiful here we go i'm not sure what this stuff is honestly [Music] oh my gosh what thank you i already got those for myself though a true romantic okay these are so cute oh i should more shampoo again i think what we got might be it yeah you want these lotions yeah oh and your adored ash bag perfect there we go all right we just got to a new one there's a lot of stuff oh look there's a nice backpack is that what you saw too wow esport or something what do you say sports easter eggs wow it's cute it has some good colors that would be a good um bag ah weekender bag the classic mirror grab so much huh so there's nothing everything over there is just trash anyways okay look at this ramen this is like from costco or something like a whole trailer pack i hate that the trash can so full i don't like putting bags on the ground yeah that's why i was kind of knowing what to do because i didn't want to tear any tear too much stuff up i know i'm trying not to either it's so crazy when it's like this oh look as i did now hey these actually might work for us okay we need some skillets okay [Laughter] without messing it up further that might be everyone loves this color that's the feedback i'm getting that color this like mint color yeah okay [Music] another one oh no this is the one that's the same this one's got a thicker frame than most nice nice one very honorable okay do you think we're good here i think so all right well there we go that was a good stop good eye alex spotting it look at all that stuff and there's that big dumpster wow all right you guys good stuff we're moving on it's a little weird what are we seeing yeah pretty much oh there's a bunch of clothes yeah there's a bunch of bumblebee stuffed animal in this white bag okay right in front of you oh wow from i guess so unless it smells about you does it smell is there something weird here just no it's okay this smells like one i think this is another one of the laundry oh morning okay thank you so much for your kindness see the yeah he's pulling into the parking lot oh shoot yeah i told him he was coming i didn't hear you oh i didn't hear you sorry okay good how are you doing morning [Music] [Music] [Music] it yeah subscribing [Music] oh that was pretty much it from there anyways so he said um it's fine he just asked if we like found anything good um he said like yeah the students throw away a ton of stuff and it's crazy so he was really nice and then i actually got to ask him what the law is in denton on dumpster diving because i've always done it here i've always thought that it was not illegal to do it here and so i just wanted to confirm with him and he said yeah if you uh dumpster dive it's totally fine as long as you don't make a mess and we told him like of course we always try to pick it up and leave it cleaner than we found it and everything and he said yeah that's the really only thing because if you're bringing stuff out of the dumpster it can technically be considered littering and so that's how it could be illegal and so as long as we keep it clean and everything we got the okay from denton pd so we're definitely gonna keep going and that was awesome um i haven't run into a cop dumpster diving in a long time and so he was really nice and he said just keep going so we're just gonna keep going all right we're feeling bold now we're back at the main one at the university let's see gotta go around these police barriers look at all these little buckets i'm falling off oh cool a diffuser nice oh look and some essential oil for it nice okay okay there's that i'll keep this bag on me there's a bunch of chili how's this one uh it's pretty box good all of the 2025 like unt lanyards it's like the whole new class there's like hundreds and hundreds of them that they threw away oh really he didn't say nothing i was throwing stuff away it's right there oh it says free on it yeah oh my god for 2025 that's funny yeah i'll be taking it no you should have known i'd be taking it okay i'm taking one bag of the lanyards alex doesn't think anyone's gonna want them [Laughter] he's way over all there this is the same person who told us to leave yesterday but oh that's a nice canvas yeah that's pretty all right i cannot believe all of this stuff wow oh [Music] oh beautiful it's like kind of nice with the fur it just makes me all came um okay here's this this is a really cool tiny little mini fridge that's got a handle i know so there we go we got this easy bake oven we got the box for it too caramel popcorn a ton a ton of clothes today so many of these bags are just full of clothes wow all right okay i'm officially dying so our truck that is totally full um we are headed home this is an awesome dive it definitely was less stuff today than it was the first two days um there was a lot of the same stuff when we looked in there but it was kind of nice because we got the opportunity to like dig more in bags and today we really found a lot of smaller items as opposed to like the last two days we've been just finding like big storage bins and laundry hampers and all that kind of stuff like big items it really is crazy it's hard to even tell what all this stuff is honestly when it's all thrown together like this it kind of just looks like a big pile but y'all this is a lot of good stuff so we're gonna go home and unload add it to our current pile and that pile is just gonna keep growing and growing so i will show you what that looks like when we get home okay we were driving on our way home but we just saw this dumpster that has some stuff out in front of it so of course we have to stop we're going back i don't know if i should i'll just like pull off yeah if it's just those oh it's really dirty and smelly they might have been using it for a pet okay the dip is nice i like that basket yeah that is nice just take a peek there's some diapers in there it's always gross oh macdonald someone didn't want their coke their whole coke is in their stuff look it's like just their cup and everything oh wow it's funny okay we're not taking the stroller but that's a nice basket so worth a stop all right now we're officially headed home so here's what it looks like oh my gosh you guys what are we gonna do with all of this stuff oh my gosh all these trash cans that's one two three four five six seven eight nine ten that i can count just right there this scale still in the box brand new brand new in the box bags of clothes towels sheets i don't even know what's in some of this stuff beautiful we got brand new in the box artist easel and painting kit it comes with a little canvas super cute we got the east sport backpack it's very cool bright red backing laundry basket full of clothes these were a popular item we were finding a lot of these little baskets there's all these toiletries soaps more backpacks down there over here oh see look at that there's another one so popular item we got a bunch of these plates that i was talking about the other day matte plates from target nice this little mini cooler i'm excited about is the door broken yes okay well maybe i'll be able to fix it but that little door is broken right there i didn't notice that okay big old pile nice big fan i hope this one works that's great these drawers are cool this one's full of this bag that i just kept pulling headband after headband out of it really was like just a ton of scarves headbands some cool crafting stuff still in the bag headbands all of that stuff this big bag of clothes big bag of clothes big bag of clothes more brooms added several more brooms added to our collection unbelievable we've found a lot of step stools i'm never gonna need another step stool again these things i love three tiered nice shelving another one of those some cute mugs coffee mug oh my gosh this is seriously insane it wasn't an overwhelming pile until this morning and now it's an overwhelming pile oh my gosh oh my gosh but what is so crazy you guys this is three well it's four mornings but the first time i didn't find too much stuff these last three days we have found an unbelievable amount of stuff on the college campuses this is just one university one weekend like imagine all in texas in the whole us all across the world imagine all the universities that we can find this much stuff and then you multiply that by how many universities we have in this country in texas on its own and it's like you can see the amount of waste this is an unbelievable amount of waste that all of this stuff was in the trash some of this stuff maybe we'll look through it and we'll realize oh that was broken or oh you know that actually isn't in nice condition we'll have to toss that one back but the majority of this stuff is perfectly good it is 100 fine and people pay money for this stuff and then it just goes into the dumpster goes to the landfill it was on tick tock because i posted on tick tock and some people were saying like oh my university has like these donation bins they have a common space where you can leave your items so other people can come and take it i love that idea i want to see that in universities all everywhere every single university should have that because just providing huge dumpsters and saying well if you can't fit in your car or you're flying back home your option is to trash it we should be saying no you have multiple options we have so many shelters in denton women's shelters homeless shelters we have tons of thrift stores we have the resources available for people to be donating this stuff and so the idea that instead of using those resources and the college not encouraging students to do that or providing them with resources they're providing them with dumpsters on every corner to throw all of their stuff away i it's it's i'm getting heated it's it's like so unbelievable the amount of waste year after year after year semester after semester that i am seeing and so i am hoping that this video can you know work and my videos in general can just work to encourage people to not throw their stuff away really good items that people could benefit from people in our community neighbors literally local people can benefit from all of this stuff and so i'm just i'm really excited that we went out this weekend i am just getting a little frustrated with seeing all of this that was all thrown away in one weekend all of this was rescued from going to the landfill okay this is not organized at all but i want to include this real quick for you all to see so i laid everything out not very organized but this is what it's all looking like oh my gosh we have so many laundry baskets so many trash cans stuff like this was like the biggest thing we found like storage containers a bunch of footstools look at all those trash cans so many chairs bean bags so many bean bags some shoes xbox controllers backpacks this is really disorganized because i'm actually washing all of these clothes and stuff as we speak um but these are some purses that we found and then more clothes that need to be washed these are blankets and towels that need to be washed here's all this jewelry that i started going through look how pretty wow it's so tangled it's gonna be like a crafters bundle more dvds more purses more storage and trash cans so i just wanted to include this to show you guys i'm working currently on picking out the items that i want to sell on facebook marketplace and then the rest is going on the curb today and tomorrow because it's supposed to rain this weekend and so i need to get all of this stuff uh given away someone needs to come and get all of it before it starts to rain so that is what i'm working on today so i just wanted to include this part since this is a couple days later but i think it's cool to see everything all laid out
