PARIS TO LONDON via DFDS NIGHT FERRY and FLIXBUS

[Music] hi everyone my name is scott and welcome to planes trains everything see that hill behind me underneath that hill is bersey bus station in paris and tonight you and i are catching the 2359 flix bus service from paris to london they're unlike most bus services between the cities which operate on euro tunnel using le shuttle this one uses the ferry it's quite a rarity and so tonight we'll be going from here paris to i believe it's calais under the ferry to dover and then on to victoria bus station it's going to take about two and a half hours on the ferry itself it's happening right in the middle of the night at 3 30 in the morning how much sleep will i get probably zero but what we'll do is once we're on the bus at 23.59 i might try a power nap for an hour or two because i won't be able to film anything and i'll see when we get to customs and passport control at calais i can honestly say this is the grottiest bus station i have had the displeasure of using in my entire life it's a toilet speaking of toilets don't use them unless you've got a hazard too this whole place is a total disgrace for the city of paris can't wait to get out of here i know we're in 10 minutes foreign oh [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] every passenger on the bus got a meal voucher so at six am that means just one thing the full english uh thank you i'm not staggering honestly this is a rough crossing whoa i'm the only one here as well no one else is stupid enough to be open weather like this we'll be arriving into dover shortly so plan of action is to return back to the coach and close my eyes for the next three hours until we get into london because i am totally wrecked i didn't sleep at all last night right i'll see you on board [Music] foreign and there you have it buy a bus ticket you get your ferry for nothing and your breakfast for free that's a nice little touch the the meal roaster the bus driver knew what he was doing but when we were at uh calais i really felt as if he didn't have a clue he'd never tried to handle a group of 30 people before he was all over the place told this organization and in fact the passport control and the customs checks and everything it was just an air of disorganization in the whole thing i would hate to be there when five or six uh coaches turned up at the same time uh never mind just our coach at three a.m anyway guys i hope you enjoyed enjoy this little adventure it was fun it was something different and i might even do it again one day but i would make sure that the ferry was a daylight service don't waste all that scenery thanks very much for watching guys i'll see you next time you
