holding spirits of the dead and yanchao is its guardian in an attempt to capture xayah the kingdom organization have invaded roxas street and our group prepared to fight a powerful monster the story continues as our group is surprised to see how easily the beast was able to break through the border yancha realizes though that the beast and bots are not smart enough to accomplish the feat on their own and someone else must be behind it we then see that a group in the spirit realm are watching the chaos unfold they point out how requiem streets are not supposed to be linked but the kingdom organization was too impatient and did it so they could send their army the three-headed beast continues to terrorize the spirits but is met by yan chao he is stunned for a moment when he rescues a girl that looks like ro and xayah realizes that yanchao actually does care for the residents of rokhsasa street liang reveals that his brother just likes to act tough and finds it hard to admit that he wants to protect others he has been protecting rexasa street since he was a child and just doesn't know how to express himself yantra tries his best to defeat the monster but some spirits start to give into fear the terror spread setting off a chain reaction that causes several transformations into evil spirits yancha decides he must end the chaos quickly and opens a portal of his own liang knows exactly what he's doing the beast is causing too much commotion so he must lure it somewhere else yanchao is successful but we see that the organization member has appeared he introduces himself as the ninth knight of the kingdom organization hail kemp he explains that he had to break through five requiem streets all to find ziya it becomes clear now that he was the one responsible for forcing her out of her home and forcing her into hiding he clarifies that he isn't there to just see her though his intentions are to capture her liang reminds hale that he is still there and will do whatever it takes to stop him however hale explains that he doesn't fear a powerless child since he just finished defeating several requiem generals they had been protecting the requiem streets that he used to portal into roxas street but they stood no chance the forms in the spirit realm become annoyed by the disturbance but decide to leave it in the hands of kaifu however he hasn't reported back to them in some time and they wonder if he is planning to betray them we then see that gaifu has found one of the injured generals who explains that the kingdom organization is far too strong and requests that he inform the spirit realm kaifu says that he has more important matters to tend to though and seems to become annoyed when the general begs for his help yanchao explains that he now has enough space to fight properly and antagonizes the beast into attacking liang prepares for a fight of his own when he tells hale that zaya will be staying with him harvard hale knows that liang's mech is only able to use its most powerful ability once per day and he just witnessed him use it against the bots hale becomes excited knowing how easy that will make his mission and how they are entering an era where the kingdom organization will rule over all the spirit realm we go back to the past as we see yanchal's parents prepare for the birth of their second son they are both excited but neither of them are more excited than yanchao they are confident he will be a great older brother and hope that they will stay by each other's side as they guard rock's sausage tree together we then see that liang has returned to explain to his brother that he will be the one to defeat him and to hang on until he does lou is entertained by the brothers and explains that the only reason liang was able to make it up the hill was so that he could mess with him some more liang begins his attack but lou is not concerned as he tells yon king to stay out of the fight he is impressed though since the child is just immortal and can keep up with him even after being powered up by the pagoda tree he explains that it won't be enough though and his older brother isn't even able to defeat him now lou begins to lose interest in the brothers but liang explains that he is tired of hearing him talk so much the brothers argue with each other for a moment but then work together to fight lou they manage to deal some damage but lou gets serious he reminds the boys to not get too confident and the strongest person will rule everything liang once again states how much he despises spirit hosts they get a bit of power and instantly think they can control everything he points out that depending on the strength of their guardian to do terrible things is what makes them more weak than mortals lou thinks it's nonsense though and once again proves his strength he comes up with an idea and gives liang the opportunity to prove he is stronger than a spirit host the way to do it though is by taking his own brother's life liang is clearly against the idea but lou explains the rules of requiem streets mortals that enter must have their memories sealed away lou plans to do so leaving liang with only his hatred for his brother however once he ends his brother's life he will return the memory so that he can feel the pain of what he had done the brothers beg that he stopped and yanchao calls for yujin but yankee makes sure that he doesn't interfere the process is quick and we see that liang only has hatred left in his heart lu explains that the boy before him is his enemy and tries to convince him to use the knife on him it works as liang begins his attack and yanchao can't believe how much hatred his brother really had for him his attempts to wake his brother up fail and eugen makes his way to his master side lou isn't having it though and commands yon king to finally end his life it's obvious yanking would rather not as he instructs yujin to stop moving even going as far as to send warning shots yujin must explain to him that they are both guardians that are loyal to their masters and they are both simply fulfilling their duties as subordinates as he begins to be hit by arrows eugene explains that jan king has chosen the wrong master and vows to forever protect the two brothers yanking continues to instruct him to stop pushing forward as he plunges several arrows into yujin but he persists lu watches intently as liang goes in for the final attack on his brother but must antagonize him further when he stops for a moment it doesn't work though as we see that liang can't get himself to hurt the person he doesn't remember back to the present yancha was having a difficult time defeating the beast as his basic attacks do absolutely nothing to it he and zucho try to attack at the same time but yanchao ends up having to save zucho with an attack from his cannon liang isn't doing much better as he must tell zaya to run for cover since he isn't able to focus on protecting her hail is disappointed to see that liang was just bluffing about his own abilities leanne claims that he isn't finished but we see that hail is actually much faster than he expected yanchao manages to damage the beast a bit when zucho realizes something the beast hasn't opened its eyes a single time but still somehow manages to detect their attacks they assume that the beast must be using its sense of smell and hearing to observe its surroundings since it was able to even detect when they were behind it yanchao explains that he actually had a reason for luring it to the place they are in there are several portals there that lead to other requiem streets and it will be more difficult for the beast to detect them through the portals they manage to successfully lure it there and attack it while it is clearly confused in the confusion yanchow instructs zucho to damage all its noses making it difficult for the beast to anticipate their attacks the plan works perfectly as the beast is heavily damaged however the two are disheartened to see that it begins to heal this means that the creature is actually a guardian spirit and is using psychic power to heal its wounds the only way to defeat it is by finding its host we then see that liang's mech has reached its limit and hale offers to spare liang's life in return for xayah liang obviously refuses and tries his best to fight hale he is clearly outmatched though and zaya contemplates eating the pagoda tree she is shocked when liang also thinks that she should because he has realized that hale is out of his league their only hope now is that she will be able to unlock the heart chain and free her guardian spirit she goes to the tree but hesitates when she thinks about what yancha will say however zaya refuses to be captured and experimented on by hail and asset liang explain everything to his brother he agrees to do it if they manage to survive and begs her to eat the bark she finally consumes it and we see that her guardian begins to break free of the heart chain immense power begins to flow from her body and she ends up being thrusted backwards liang reveals that the plan was a success and her guardian has finally appeared however something seems to be wrong and the guardian begins to rage out of control the power it's releasing is of celestial nature and liang fears he may end up causing damage to the pagoda tree the guardian is antagonized and liang's worst nightmare is realized when he attacks the sacred tree the tree is destroyed and a beam of energy rushes out from the hole left by it kaifu watches from a distance as he is glad to see that things seem to have worked out perfectly spirits are swept off their feet and sucked into the hole left by the tree hale explains that it's because the sacred tree was a border that separated the spirit realm and requiem streets now that it's been destroyed though all spirits will be sucked in which will eventually lead to havoc throughout both the spirit realm and the human world hale demands that xayah come with him if she wants to live she looks to liang for help but finds that he is in trouble of his own as he is being pulled into the
