Pantry Declutter and Organize || FooFamily Fridays

is there anybody else that has a Pantry in a snack area and every time you open it up you just can't seem to find anything well we had an overwhelming urge to straighten it all up organize it I don't even know what time it is but let's have some fun and come along with us yeah let's go organize the pantry yes hug go hug go so this is the before that we're working with at the snack drawer um yeah how can anybody find anything in here and even worse is the pantry we don't have like a traditional Pantry so we use the kitchen cabinets in this little area for all the food so let's see how we can organize it I'm going to guess we have like six peanut butters in here So the plan is is I'm taking everything out Sam is going to be checking all the expiration dates cuz I'm going about there's some stuff from like 19.99 in here anybody else keeping all of their baking stuff in big Ziploc bags oh yeah don't let me forget my neighbor let me borrow his salt so we got to get that back to him and for some reason we have like a million things of rice like how much rice do we need oo I love pancakes so here's one thing I don't understand bone broth chicken I thought there was chicken broth and bone broth and one of the issues is is that like we don't like see this stuff like so like you know if I would have known we had vegetable broth I would have been like oh could do all this cooking with vegetable broth and can somebody tell me why vanilla extract is so much money like I don't understand it's just like a little liquid I know this might sound crazy but is there anybody else that thinks there's just too many oils and vinegar like white wine vinegar red wine vinegar like this isn't wine right like it's just Vin like I don't understand why there's so many different ones this is organic steel cut oats like what does steel mean like steel cut I don't understand there's a lot of things I don't understand I was always told it took like all day to make lasagna is that still a thing like is lasagna still like an8 hour event to make I feel like I'm the only one on the planet that does not like matcha lattes for example this is vegetable oil and the ingredients is soybean oil like I don't see any vegetables in the ingredients of vegetable oil oil so this is legit stuck got it you been wan to try these those little pancakes and a cups oh I can go for a good peanut butter fluff sandwich anybody else grew up eating those here's another interesting one nutritional yeast like like you if somebody paid me a million dollar to figure out what this is used for I'd have no idea balsamic vinegar Wisher Shire sauce is it wishes or wishes sheer sesame oil more vinegar I mean we got enough vinegar to fill the pool so this raspberry leaf eases menstrual cramps tea I was actually drinking this like several bags a day when I wasn't feeling well I can't remember when why I was drinking it but I was when Sam was pregnant I was actually like drinking these and she wasn't so before I start wiping down and cleaning the cabinet this is what we have all out and Sam has been checking the expirations so I'm going to do what I do best and spray we got some stragglers up here so anytime I spray something I usually wet down a microfiber cloth just a little bit I feel like it just goes good with the spray I don't know does that make sense so here's our snack area it is very easy access for the kids which is hence why it looks like this we have a six-year-old and a three-year-old that are constantly coming in here and digging around and trust me like we have all intentions of like like organizing which we do sometimes but you know after a while it just gets [Music] destroyed actually going to have a little Swiss roll like come on like a half eaten Hawaiian roll pack empty bag of chips so now everything is out on the table Sam has gone through just about everything this is all expired and this is all things that we we are keep that is a lot of stuff that we are keeping so all of this needs to make its way back into over there and does anybody else's parents get offended when you check expiration dates on the feet of their house I don't understand why they get off I don't understand why anybody would get offended about that I mean it's just like I just I've had food poisoning before so I just check yeah I don't think there's anything wrong when you go to somebody's house and they like offer you a drink or a condiment or a snack and you check the expiration J you're just looking after yourself that's all and then you find out that the ranch was from 2022 no offense all right that's everything that is everything let's get all the expired food all the trash we found and we'll go ahead and clean out all the bins and then see what we're working with okay okay I have a variety of different bins that I've collected over the years whether they be from The Container Store or the dollar store and I just try and keep them on hand for different projects here I'm just try trying to put like items together so in this bin I'm putting all the peanut butter and all the honey together I am no organizational expert I just do what I think will work and if it doesn't work that's okay I can always try something new I'm just putting all the oats and grab and go breakfast items together in one bin this bin was so gross cuz it was where we stored all the baking items previously the flower I'm going to put into this clear bin and I'm actually going to write the expiration date on the outside that is one thing I don't like about clear containers is that it no longer has the expiration date on it and I'm also going to cut out the expiration date from the actual packaging and place that into the Container I will just continue putting like items together in different bins and trying different configurations to see what works [Music] [Music] [Music] he [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] w [Music] so here's what it looks like this took only about an hour or so but I am so happy now we can see just about everything and check out this Pantry level now it is nicely organized and looking good and it was a just good teamwork it was nice it was fun it might not be the most aesthetically pleasing but you know we group like things together I think now I can see okay we don't need to buy any more peanut butter and I know we made it in life because we actually have a clear bin with rice in it that says rice that's how you know the expiration date's already halfway off this was fun now I just feel like we can actually see what we have especially that's why I really like these clear bins I'm realizing cuz we can see what's in there yeah for the stuff that maybe we don't use all the time like the snacks yes and you even leveled out the vinegars like smallest oh I didn't even yeah she did that I got to show them now so Sam without even noticing put the smallest to largest vinegars that's pretty impressive when organizing I just try different things there was multiple times I had to put stuff in different bins or move it around you just do what yeah you kind of got to try it and we could try this and we could hate it but and this is definitely her forte like I'm good at like the clean like you guys know what I'm good at and there's a reason why I don't see me doing a lot of like decluttering organization getting rid of and putting things in bins in any of my videos so this is what's nice but like I'll open the pantry and it'll be crazy and I can't see anything and I'll just close it right yeah and then we we go oh yeah we need to eat out yeah we ain't got nothing but Joey will actually like you'll take everything out and do like that's the hard part yeah to me and this is the hard part for you so I think that's why we work good together because our strengths and our weaknesses kind of go together yeah while Sam was doing the separating I was like uh what can I do like I felt like I was like I'll clean the bins yeah so yeah I hope you enjoyed watching this this was fun maybe next time maybe we'll do all the listen all of these cabinets need to be rearrange so like usual baby
