nowadays uh if i was gonna go back to school for anything i'd probably go for like an interior design courses or something something like that or i was i was doing photography i had a photography business before youtube yeah that's how i think photography wedding photography i probably do i want to be a video editor uh a good way to get into that is actually editing people's streams or youtube videos yeah take someone's stream edit it up and then just send them an email be like hey i'm interested in doing video editing i've edited this for you if you like it yeah i'll do some more whatever yeah and that's a good way to do it and we want to see what you can do in terms of the style we want if that's what you want to do if you want to do like editing for like tv shows that's a little bit but like i i think i don't my house is really dark um they don't get any sun and so i have like surrounded by trees so there's no sun and so um they died very fast but my pothos literally thriving my uh it's hard it's hard to break that [ __ ] is so hard there's four million streamers um do something that you like uh twitch is really terrible for a discovery so do something one one other platform whether it be you post videos on tick tock or you do uh youtube uh youtube's a really good thing to get into um tick tock has a really good discovery so it could work for you uh but it's it's just hard like i even struggle you know it's i'm trying to grow my channel still so it's it's kind of one of those things where you just try to do what works and just keep at it it's it's not an easy thing to do i'm an american citizen i'm fine i can be here you can stay here forever and ever and ever if i if you can change your youtube name would it be i would maybe change it to just like my name uh any advice getting through school it ends oh yeah true yeah your graduation day will be so liberating it's such a good day and trust me everything at school it doesn't matter it does the second you graduate i'm not kidding disappears like it never existed it's insane it just goes away yeah and do you know what it becomes how are you doing in the real world and yeah high school doesn't mean anything after you graduate and sometimes you see a lot of the case that the popular people at they get stuck in that lifestyle so they they don't and then they don't make it in the real world because they're like why doesn't everybody just like me sure yeah so how it works karen b so actually going through tough and difficult times at school can actually really help you and set you up for a good course in the real world because at the end of the day people want you to do a job yep and that's why and that that's you're replaceable in your in the workforce so i think that knowing just what to do oh and and knowing to take [ __ ] is actually really important i also left high school with one friend say that's it yeah it's yeah it's it's fine and if you go to college you it might you might find it a lot easier to make friends as well because you have very similar yes i only went to college for a short amount of time but when i went like even on the first day i was so nervous and then i remember i went and i was like oh my god this is so much better than high school nobody gives a crap about anybody there's no drama it's good no gossiping no one cares everyone's just there because they paid for the class they have to go get it done and leave and go home or go to the next class it's just you're so to yourself you might make friends i mean i made a few i met a few people they don't really stick but we kind of just like talked about at school i had really good friends from uh i made really really good friends i think if you like do the whole university experience in like a dorm and stuff you might meet people more but i didn't do that i didn't do that yeah but yeah college is way better any advice about sleep uh stop looking at like computer screens like an hour before going to bed i tell her that but we don't know how to do it um i'm bad at that it's tough i melatonin sometimes helps i take melatonin it helps so much so i think those those are good tips i mean i've had problems sleeping like as long as i remember same both my mom and my dad my mom and dad are insomniacs but yeah um yeah hold out if you're in high school it's it's gonna end it comes to an end and then everyone splits off and it'll do you different things you'll realize that it pretty much flies by so quickly you'll be okay it'll be good you'll be so happy that you did it and you're done favorite dessert everything i'm allowed to say everything i love dessert yes can i have it for breakfast lunch and dinner i i'm i'm a big cookie person i really like cookies because they're just like it's very i'm not because i don't have a sweet tooth so i did just stick my finger in um the paint so she likes paint that's what she likes so now i'm not a big sweet tooth but cookies are like very quick to eat and then like you're done so i'm like that's that's why i like it i pretty much only want chocolate when i'm pmsing and that's it well and then i'm like give me chocolate i'm gonna rip someone's head off that's how i feel what equipment do you recommend for new streamers uh a yeti blue snowball or a yeti a yeti is a really good you don't need anything fancy trust me i don't don't need anything you don't need fancy stuff it's coming from someone who always wants fancy things you can use a webcam you don't really i don't think you need like a big camera like i have right now i think i i think for lighting cameras are really important uh if you if you want any like true actual advice i think a harris heller actually gives really good information um i usually what's that one stream beats no no no about that oh the the c920 this logitech c920 is the one that like most people use yeah it's been out for like 10 years it's a good webcam but it's not like gonna break your bank yeah you know if you don't want to buy like a camera camera because in order to if you get like a camera like i have like a dslr then you need the equipment to be able to run it on stream and have it plugged in so that it doesn't die on you and it's like it costs i would say more yeah because of that so i would say just use a webcam yeah webcams and that's what i did look go back on my channel i used a webcam for years and i just now started using a dslr and i've been doing it for almost 7 years yeah always focus on like the the type of content that you make not so much the production because a lot of people don't care about the production you know who cares about the production the streamer yeah 100 it's us that care y'all don't really care if i change my camera you probably wouldn't even notice or care it's a logitech c920 yeah it's uh it's fine if you just type in like logitech camera it'll it's like one of the things like this one it's like one of the most common ones but yeah it's uh yeah just just i think a lot of your focus should be going into that and lighting um especially if you're using a webcam lighting is really important go to amazon and look up box lights you can find them like you can get like two for super super cheap i still have them they're 20 bucks 20 to 50 dollars for the sizing so cheap i still have them yeah i don't use them now but i still have them just in case they're a little bulky but they um they they work and um it looks better so there you go cheap cheap stuff if you if you were interested now if you're wondering i use the key lights from elgato they're really expensive okay yeah they're luxury items but oh my yeah you know if you can swing it they're amazing they're so good yeah i i think the but i started i used those other likes though for years yeah there and and dslr companies deciding to move towards being able to use it with usb and all that sort of stuff so yeah you don't need expensive stuff i'm telling you i just these key lights i mean they just came out i just got nice lighting like this this year or last year you know so i mean it's been i mean i've been doing youtube for years yeah it's fine um my room looks pretty thank you i got like some cool lighting over there next to zeus i got some gamer girl lighting lol and yeah all this stuff advice for first uh college class well in college just join a a group that you what is it called what are the like clubs clubs yeah join a good like a club that you're interested in you'll find friends that way that's true that's good you kind of have to go out of your comfort zone a little bit doing that if you're shy you like the lighting thank you i want more of those light strips but um they're really expensive so i just got one i'll get the other ones later wait you put your sleeve in the paint oh no it's dried it's fine oh it's dried stretcher okay this is i have this covered somehow i still managed to stick my finger in it but what are you gonna do it's a game you have to figure out the algorithm it's all about testing oh um consistency is the most important thing i would say thumbnails titles are the most important thing more important than the video itself yeah the video could be [ __ ] yeah and all you need is a good thumbnail and title hope you got the algorithm likes that [ __ ] that's all you need that's i'm serious that is how it works nowadays it's great it's annoying it's annoying how do you think of it six months sneaking into the stream all the work oh thank you i hope we have a good day yeah it's youtube is just a it's a game it's weird i kind of what just they're like how to bring attention to it just just make content just make good content if if you feed the algorithm what it likes it will push your videos out for you that's true that's true around the minecraft because he's a coder i think oh is he yeah i think he wanted to like do coding for one of the big minecrafters and then he himself blew up but i edited my own videos for the majority of the time i've been on youtube currently i do not um so that i have some free time but i do everything else i do thumbnails i like doing thumbnails but editing is so time consuming that i if i do editing i have time for nothing else have i grown just doing con just consistency i haven't blown up at all but it's just consistency and been on the platform for like five years so um yeah and then i've obviously done collaborations and all that sort of stuff and met friends and do all that sort of thing uh i um i've been wanting to branch out a little on youtube because with sims i god there is only so much i can do i've done the same video 16 times it's annoying me i need new fresh things to do of course vixel has helped me anyone i collaborate with helps because there are viewers there are viewers that don't know who i am even if i collaborated with someone who had well some people said they they found me through yeah yeah so collabs help that's a good advice if you can find people to collab with that's good yeah someone said that like ages ago when i was like sort of studying and starting out i have a problem have a bunch of have a find people who find friends who also do it or try and be a part of a community i i don't know and then like sort of start your channels and do sort of similar things and that way you can sort of a lot of people do that you build yourself up highly and thank you for the seven months if you know conflict nerd i think that um he had like less subscribers than i did at one point and then he started doing like gta stuff with james genie and i was like full ages ago and then because of that he also did a lot of um was it city skyline stuff and because a lot of james viewers love that they sort of like saw that and then a lot of his stuff just started getting pushed into the algorithm emily he had one massive video and his uh youtube blew up which is really cool so yeah i mean just friends just make friends in a community who want to do youtube too i have a problem with that because i'm really shy i've been trying to reach out a little more recently but only because there's a game i mean i love phasmaphobia so i've been trying to get everyone to play yeah so that's how that's what i want to do do you want to do something with glue i think recently i'm talking to her about that phobia yeah circuit and you can go online and this website just does it for you and prints out your own circuit board and i'm like what the hell no one has yet filled that void for me me neither there will be someone that the pro that can try well where's your dream there's a void there where's your dream place to live i don't know i like i like australia but australia's are really far away from everything so i would like the feel of australia but not far away from the world hmm canada maybe maybe canada might be canada like the best of both worlds you're close to america but you're not in it that's well damn it it's not going to grow if i keep cutting it because people are like trim your hair but every time i do that it just gets shorter and shorter it grows so slow yeah that's what happens when easy you just heat it up in the microwave and then i remember heating the the like alfredo sauce thing that you like oh i don't put it in the mic i just eat it all no you put the sauce in the microwave to heat it up and then i did that and it was like all weird i go back and forth between putting it on the stove or not just depends on how i'm feeling it's yeah you just you're gonna it's yeah you're gonna look so days that i stream i wanna come downstairs i'm done after a hard day's work entertaining the masses throw off my shoes that i wear when i stream and then you know sit down and there's a gourmet meal sit waiting for me right there boom is that too much to ask for sasha five days a week i do the other two she looks like that i do it's i do it like every day of the week chat what how is that too much to ask for it's a compromise and then we sit down and i watch the movies you want to watch okay we never do that we've only done it this week what with twilight i wanted to rewatch it hey you gotta throw it out into the universe for it to happen i mean well you might love cooking you're saying i need to find a hobby who knows we we actually did get the pizza yeah i feel like i feel like getting takeout once a week is not bad if you know what your intake is and what you're allowed to have for your like calorie count i i don't think it's terrible yeah i couldn't eat much i did work out though so i felt a little bit better about it but um but i was like i mean i didn't like gain any weight you know so i was like okay i'm just like i've been like on a you know when you're like you eat really well or well better for like a few days and you have something bad and you're like i ruined it but you don't actually ruin it you know just feed your girlfriend happy wife happy life there's sometimes at work late night i feel sometimes i feel bad i would like for her to know how to cook because sometimes she gets really hungry and it would be good that she can because you would like because you wait for me so much of the time that's realistically whatever then i also i like to eat together yeah i don't get that i have like a weird thing where i like to eat at the same time and watch things but it's every every every meal why eating should be exciting and shared she she goes i want to eat together youtube goes on yeah why i don't get it i want to watch things with you and eat you know i just what if i went to work what if i went and i worked well then i would watch things by myself yes that was the difference we have a luxurious job where you can take 30 minutes and eat with me so you're wondering why the youtube videos are going up oh my god i'm not asking for much just learn how to cook and then cook me gourmet meals every evening it's fine
