OWNER DIED! 10 YEARS OF CITY VIOLATION OVERGROWTH! UNREAL DISASTER!

good morning everybody we are out on another project and we've got a bit of a disaster on this one uh we are down here in the city working on a violation and uh this is probably one of the worst ones i've seen in a while there's not much trash or debris but it uh it's overgrown pretty good so let's take a look at what we got all right so here's the house the front is really not too bad the grass needs to be mowed here a little bit there's not much really oh it's mostly just weeds um mostly because this is all just sand through here the ocean is literally right there so a lot of these lots right here unless they brought topsoil and have nothing but like beet sand on them so here's what we got to do mow the grass trim these hedges all this has to go i got to get rid of all this i thought about bringing big munchie in here and mulching all of this and i decided against it mostly because of this house right here and i don't i can't get the mini in here there's not enough room for me to get the mini to walk the mini down this side and mulch this i could come this way but the mulch is going to want to throw everything into this house so i want to throw it that way or that way and that's all houses so i can't do that so we're going to cut all this rip it out and greg let me borrow his dump trailer so i'm just going to haul it all off he's got a place where i can take it for like thirty dollars a dump trailer load which is a pretty good deal so we're just gonna take all this out it's all just a bunch of overgrown mess but i really thought about bringing big munchie in here and just mulching all this down but i don't think that's really going to work all right let's go take a look at the back all right so here's the right side in the back we got to trim all this back let's clean this up through here we'd eat it all but the backyard oh my gosh get through here all right oh we got a pool we got a bush we i got to get that bush out of the pool if i can so i've got the mini we got to get rid of all this all this has got to come out this has all got to come out of here all this is getting mulched i'm going gonna get the mini that's the reason i'm gonna get this left side cleared out so i can get i'm gonna take the fence out and then bring the mini in here and then we're gonna mulch all of this out and i'm gonna have the guys take most of this stuff over here and over here and just chuck it over here and i'm just going to mulch it all on the ground and the city said that was fine but we're just going to mulch all of this back i got to go all the way back through there let me walk through here i can't even get through here hardly but all this has got to get mulched through here clean up all that all that it's a it's a disaster so only thing to do is get started i got some help coming my guy armando and his guys are supposed to be coming to help us for the next day or two for this and so we're going to get started so before we get started i want to give you guys a quick little backdrop this is my childhood home right here or one of them but so this is the house working in right here and this is my childhood home we moved into this house in like 93 or 94 and my parents divorced right after that in 95 and we were living here with our mom and we moved up to raleigh cary apex area right outside raleigh and then after that my dad and my stepmom moved into this house and we came down every other weekend and on the summers and we lived in this house until about 2001 until my dad built our other house up on the north end of the beach and uh about 30 blocks north of here but yeah i grew up here we used to play air hot or play uh um roller hockey out here in the road um me and my brothers used to dig massive holes in the backyard back there when we were like we were eight nine ten years old but that's where our like love of kind of heavy equipment and digging and all that stuff came to be and we dug the hell out of that backyard we used to play out here in front yard um i mean it was crazy uh right here but yeah this is my this is my childhood home i lived in this house for little seven seven years or so and um through my formative years from the time i was about eight or nine until i was about 14. yep we used to ride forward that backyard's huge back there we used to ride four wheelers in that backyard um yeah pretty cool it just sold the people that lived there just just bought it and uh i got to talk to them for a minute they're really nice people but yeah kind of cool to be by here again which i come out here all the time but still to be working across next door but i never knew this lady that that lived here she moved in i think she said she moved in around 2005 so we'd been gone um and even the people before that i never saw them i never even knew there was a pool in the backyard when i was here when we lived here so kind of cool interesting story if you guys want to know a little bit about my life that's where i grew up quick little other fun fact about me this is where i got my name my youtube name so when i was little growing up my dad built houses and we used to do a lot of our own work he used to do a lot of his own work and we would dig footers and clear lots and stuff like that we would always go out there and hang out with him and that's kind of where my love heavy equipment came out you know ever since i was a little kid my mom said like the first words out of my mouth um after like my mom and dad were like big it was big truck we'd be going down the road and i would go past a construction site that's a big truck you know be some tractor out there but my dad had this little hydrostatic backhoe called a dig it and uh you can see it right there they don't think they make them anymore but it was called a dig it and i don't even know i think it was a little gas powered hydrostatic backhoe but that's what i learned to operate on that's uh he put me on the back of that thing one day and showed me the controls i had to work that digger on the back and he was like here's the controls figure it out and that's uh that's where i learned to operate and that's my dad and my little sister uh now and just give you an idea my little sister uh she's got two kids now porter and reed the little girl with the blonde curls that you've seen in some of my videos that's her daughter and she looks just like her you can't really that's not really in focus but that's up at the house that we my dad built up on the north end about 30 blocks north of here is where we moved from this house into uh that house um it's not this one it's actually the one next like it's right there where this would be right over here that's my stepmom right there so yeah old picture that i've got i had in my truck so that's where i that's where i got my name i dig it and i just put the number four on the end of it kind of a cool story if you guys want to know uh [Applause] ah making good progress through here with the mini ripping it out has not been too bad a lot of vines but uh we're making do i brought the smooth edge bucket because i got to clean out that bush in the pool and the other reason is i like it because if i scrape the ground you know with the smooth edge i don't have to worry about a tooth going in the ground and snagging you know if there's a shallow water line or a shallow fiber line you know i can actually scrape the ground and i'll have to worry about you know in the city if i was out in the country and the houses weren't around i wouldn't care i wouldn't think too much about about it but out here in the city you never know what's buried i was worried about this line right here uh but someone has already cut it a long time ago you can see that end is rusted i don't know if you can but that's been cut a long time ago i don't know what it looks like fiber or tv cable something like that yeah it's cable there yeah that's cable so all right for the dump trailers full i've probably got one more load to get out of here and in i'm gonna try to smash some of it down and we're gonna go dump that and come back and these guys are making how they're looking back here oh wow we got all this cleared out now and we are looking good [Music] all this is off the house got it all piled up i'm gonna mulch all that right there and we really trying to get this guy's attention but he wants to be an i'm trying to help this guy get these logs off here all he had to do was take that machine really quick and just scrape them off and he was like being an and so now the guy with the loader is trying to help this guy get these logs out of his trailer because it doesn't have enough hydraulic power to lift it up to get it to dump you're not going to take two seconds to help him out wouldn't do it that that makes me mad but i mean that helped the guy but those logs are massive i mean i can't hardly pick them up this is back [Music] all right down she goes we'll wrap the tarp up shut doors we are out of here one last load to go i think all right everybody moment you've all been waiting for it's time to start mulching this out so um originally i was just going to nuke all of this but the lady that lives right here the neighbor she talked to the inspectors and she wants a little privacy for her backyard which i totally get so we're just going to kind of try to shave this all this stuff back you know just kind of clean this up and then leave maybe i don't know a foot or two of growth you know we're not gonna i'm not gonna take down that big tree right there or any of that i'm really just gonna take down this smaller stuff and shave all this back leave a foot or two of growth for privacy and then we're gonna mulch all this stuff on the ground take down that tree and then mulch out that whole corner and that'll all be cleaned up so i'm gonna help kelly pull that pool cover out we're gonna get started hey everybody [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right everybody we are pretty much done the only thing i got left to do is i wanted to bring the hedge trimmer head and just come back through here where i scraped all this out and just kind of clean up a little bit of these little saw greenbrier vines that are sticking up in a few spots kelly took my combi head with him and uh i got to go get it yeah and the other thing um i need to cut that stump right down there flush to the ground but outside of that this is done the city inspectors just came by everything looks good they're not trying to go too crazy in here the house does not appear to be salvageable from the people that have been inside it so whatever happens with this property this is all probably getting torn down and torn out anyway but we got all this cut back i shaved this off um you know because that's what the neighbor wanted she wanted to keep some of this vegetation for her privacy um and the you know the city inspectors were cool with that so that's what we did and uh just cleaned i went all the way back to the fence there cleaned all that up we cleaned up kelly and i came back in here with the hedge trimmer and kind of got some more of the vines off the buildings there cleaned that up tidied it up a little bit i cleaned up some of those vines that were hanging right there still a little bit and we just kind of tidied a few things but yeah this is done all this in the middle just mulched down right here so got the whole back into this house cleaned off they got the salt sump pump working we were going to dig that out and then the inspectors are like well we don't want to take a chance with something happening with this slab and i was like oh thank god i didn't want to do that anyway um so now that we got the water low we're just going to spray that with a round up kill it off so it doesn't get any bigger and that's really going to be it but yeah this uh doesn't appear from what i haven't been in it but what they're telling me the house doesn't appear to be how there's holes in the roof there's a hole there i didn't even see that hole because of the the bushes there's a hole in the roof right there you guys can see that and then there's another one right over here and i think that tree that was growing over the house i think that tree did it i think because they had a branch several branches growing over that way and you could see where the wind had rubbed that fascia board and it looked like it had maybe you know the wind working on that branch it just punched a hole through the roof there and worked that shingle loose and then the water got to the wood and just rotted through right through there but yeah this turned out pretty good i originally just wanted to nuke all this just take it all out and just mulch all of it and i did that i'd have been here for a little bit getting all that down and mulched out but we'd have gotten it nothing there i couldn't handle but still but hope you
