[Music] the new DPS passive in season 9 with the minus 20% healing reduction has had a lot of questions and myths surrounding its interaction so let's set the record straight do cleansing abilities like zarya's bubble remove the DPS passive Bap Splash healing is supposed to be 50 HP so a bubble into a bubble pop into a heal and you still heal 50 HP so yes it does cleanse the DPS passive can abilities that apply self cleanse remove the 20% healing reduction from the DPS passive so we'll have our control variable clip here where the DPS passive should be applied so the 50 HP healing from Bap is only 40 putting him at 60 HP now we'll use The Wraith form to cleanse the DPS passive to see if it works and yes B heals 50 which is his normal Splash amount same with Moira as well so yes it does remove the DPS passive does the 20% healing reduction DPS passive reduce the healing you get from health packs so to start we need a control variable a mini health pack heals 75 hp now let's take some damage and immediately walk over the mini health pack before the passive wears off and we still heal 75 hp so no the passive does not reduce the healing when taking a health pack it works like normal does Anna friendly biotic grenade the 50% healing amplification portion override the DPS passive which is the 20% healing reduction all right let's apply the DPS passive throw a nade and then a follow-up healing shot let's do the math the Anna nade normally heals 60 upon Splash minus 20% from the DPS passive 20% of 60 is 12 so the nade is only healing 48 seems good then we pump out one shot and we're left with 132 total healed HP now how do we get this number you take the base on a nade healing 48 plus a base on a shot of 70 minus 14 which is 20% DPS debuff which gives you 56 you take the 56 and you multiply it by the 50% healing buff and you get 84 HP healed 88 4 + 48 is 132 so an's nade does not overwrite the DPS passive they calculate normally like math should do deployables apply the 20% healing reduction DPS passive remember baps healing is 50 HP on a splash so we're looking for either 50 or 40 and here it heals 40 which means the DPS passive is applied with Bob torb turret as well 140 to 180 HP means a 40 HP heal symmetra as well 50 to 90 HP 40 HP heal DPS passive is applied with deployables does the DPS passive stack if multiple DPS Heroes damage the same Target for reference healing ofuda is 26 per paper Time 5 you're supposed to heal 130 for a Full Burst so so we'll have two damage Heroes shooting the same Target one healing ofuda burst 104 HP healed which means multiple damage Heroes cannot stack their DPS passive only one is active at a time does Bob receive the global healing passive after not taking damage for 5 seconds with so much focus on the DPS passive let's not forget the global regen passive over here so Bob getting sent out let's see if he heals after a certain amount of time doesn't look like anything's happening so no he doesn't get the global passive does Ekko retain the 20% healing reduction DPS passive when duplicating a tank or support so here we duplicate a Reinhardt hit him with a couple of fire strikes and see if he's getting reduced healing from Anna but it looks like she healed 70 HP which is completely normal so no the DPS passive does not get applied when you duplicate another rooll does Farah apply the 20% healing reduction DPS passive when she damages herself that's a great question because rocket jumping is a big part of her kit here we put her at 150 Health life Weaver's full charge heal is 70 and that does the full amount so no she can't apply the DPS passive to herself does Genji's deflect apply that 20% healing reduction DPS passive we're going to use an a 70 Base Healing as a reference for this clip deflecting a Hanzo shot and only healing 56 HP so that is indeed 20% less but what about deflecting a tank's ability like fire strike well you can see Anna still only heals 56 HP which means Genji will apply this DPS passive even if the source projectile is from a tank or support does the 20% healing reduction DPS passive affect life steal abilities like boa's grasp while the damage output seems to be the same the selfhealing is certainly affected by the DPS passive on the right side she finishes with 98 HP versus 105 it's not much but it's still there does the DPS passive act as a debuff for kiro's protection suu to Grant the bonus HP healing remember KIRO souu heals 80 by default but 110 if it cleanses a negative effect so is the DPS passive a negative effect well looks like it's only healing 80 so no is the spawn healing affected by the DPS passive debuff on the left nothing on the right DPS passive active from the ash shot and you can see you heal slower so yes the DPS passive does affect the spawn room healing as well Canaria Hanzo graviton Dragon strike combo burst through zenyatta's Transcendence hanzo's dragons do 300 damage per second and Zen's healing is 300 HP per second but the dragon applies the DPS passive so with 20% reduction yes you can absolutely shred enemies apart with this combo right now does bit's repair packs heal less over time if they're spammed on the left side we space out the packs so that the healing over time finishes before applying the next one and on the right we spam them and honestly they heal about the same there just a little bit of a rounding error from the workshop so no it won't heal less if you spam it so go ahead spam away does Anna's biotic grenade amplify doomfist meteor strike heal in a patch a few months ago doomfist got a buff where he does heal the longer he's in his meteor strike and you can see if you get amped by the nade on the right side you are returning with a lot more health so yes it absolutely does work does doomfist keep the anti-healing effect when using meteor strike here Doom is taking some damage from a DPS hero gets anti-ed by Anna pops metor strike and no he doesn't keep the anti- effect at all and he begins healing immediately so no does moa's coalescence pass through life Weaver's pedal platform after the change the change we're talking about was on January 9th 2024 where pedal platform is no longer pierced by piercing projectiles and we all know coalescence does Pierce through barriers but here seems like it's working as intended it does block it now but wait for it does moira's biotic orb go through life lever's pedal platform after the same change I said wait for it cuz one bounce doesn't go through but a second bounce huh that definitely does not look intentional so yeah bugged for now might be fixed later since we're on the topic of Life Weaver does the Ryan fire strike go through it as well well for the quick sanity check no it doesn't okay just making sure does hanzo's dragon strike life steal under maa's cardiac overdrive honestly I found this very interesting because his dragon is like an extension of his projectiles it can't be like damage boosted by Mercy or anything so the fact that it life steals the whole time is kind of cool does unsticking stuck projectiles count as a cleansing debuff with kiro's protection suu remember you get 110 healing instead of 80 if you cleanse something so here's a stuck Tracer pulse bomb and only 80 healing so no does sombra's hack remove the life stealing aspect of Mora's biotic grasp nope doesn't look like it does soldier's biotic field healing stop if there's a barrier between line of sight of its Center nope doesn't block it he's definitely still healing and that's it for this episode leave some myths in the comments see you next time
