one of the things about this church is we believe on ministry outside of these four walls that the Bible not only says that that you do in Word it continues to say and indeed to do it all in the name of Christ Jesus and so for us we don't want to just come in here and have Church but we want to have our deeds support what our mouth is saying okay and so here at this church we roll up our sleeves and we take it serious and personal to be a blessing in people's lives because how many know if you grew up like me a lot of people would say when you offer Jesus well what has he done for me lately they didn't tell y'all that okay where they told me so with that being said here at this church we do what we can to aggressively answer that question and I am thankful to say that within this past month we actually packed boxes of food and we adopted a senior citizens home and this month we served over a hundred seniors could you give God praise for that that seniors was affected because we came together that we count even outside of this building okay another thing that we did which I am super excited about as well is is how many know a lot of people who are in college there's this mystique that college students are rich see I see I know touch and agree I know they think for whatever reason because you have matriculated to another level of education that money is flowing out of your water tap but the devil is devil is a lie and so what we don't want to do is bring college students here and just say the word of Jesus alone and then send them back by themselves and so we rolled up our sleeves to do what we can to make sure they fool in the midnight hour I am thankful to say that we provided boxes to over 106 students within the past couple of weeks can we give God praise come on you can do better than that see see before I came back and went to the AUC I was shipped off to go to school in Sacramento California and you know I had money problems and don't judge me and and and so unfortunately you know when you in certain schools they strip stuff away from you so they stripped me and say okay well you can't go to classes and then the devil got in them and they told me I can't go to the CAF one thing California how I'm gonna eat well if it wasn't for mother and my mother that will put boxes together and ship me food crackers and tuna and oodles and noodles and oh yah oh you Rosa News yeah who knows and noodles y'all look at the bougie folks that don't that ain't raised a hand I'm delivered from noodles what are we doing that space food no ain't none wrong with anybody who agrees say man thinking about y'all and so and so I know that there are some students that don't have a grandmother and a mother that will send these things to them and I will not let you go without and so it is a privilege to serve you and I am thankful to be able to be more than just a word Church but a church that moves inward and in yeah yeah yeah yeah now another thing about the believers house is we do believe in having church okay we will shout you down if it hits okay if it hit but I got a hit we're not gonna fake it and enforce it you know I got a hit and if it hit we'll go with you but there's more to us than just wanting you to leave here just to say we had church we want your lives affected and impacted we want change you with me the Bible says that they overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony and so because I can get up and you'll say okay well you the pastor you gonna say y'all affect lives I want to call some people up that I have not prepped I don't know what they're going to say which is why I got you no security a little close just in case they get up here and do too much I'm teasing so with that being said I want to call a couple of people up that are members of the church because I want you to hear from them I want you to hear their earnest hearts now let me let me let me let me screen some of you this isn't like the super old school old school testimony service okay because some of y'all have went through services where the testimony service was a test alai service and sister Odelle will get up and lie about everything when she I want to thank God for blessing me with two million dollars yesterday but I don't have it now because I had to give it to my grandbabies for real this isn't that I have to address some of you that went through horrible experience so if you can tell the people that I called up I want you to put your hands together and I want you to hear from their heart hear from their experience hear from them so that you could understand that this church really is affecting people outside of just having church are you with me now can you put your hands together for Jasmine come on you can do better than that [Applause] now [Applause] okay stop think I started something all right so now Jasmine I want you to answer a couple questions I want you to tell them your name I said it though didn't I tell them again tell them what school you go to and tell them how the believer's house has impacted you both pre and post your joining can you do that okay come up here pre pre tbh the summer before Spelman I made it a priority for me to find a church home while I'm here at these four years here at Spelman College so at the beginning of August like November I attended sister Chapel to sum it up it went for me so I have to thank God for let me pause right quick first I want to give honor to my father who loves me more than I could ever love myself and then I want to say thank you pastor Q for giving me this opportunity okay now we're gonna go back okay thank my father for putting two people in my life who truly have transformed my life and that is Chloe Thompson and mismo [Music] they are the ones who actually invited me to this church so in December of 2016 was my first time attending this church and I have not lived ever since so I truly want to say thank you Pastor Q and thank you to this family for welcomed me in with open arms you welcomed me in like and letting me be myself so I appreciate for you letting me be myself like my true self so I thank you for that so post tbh now if I could put it in three words I would have to say I am free [Applause] yes I back at home I attended a church what he had to wear some clothes you had to walk in a certain way he even had to breathe a certain way I am when I finally don't wanna me but you know I still gotta go cuz you know my grandparents and I'll let ya but um here I'm just able to freely express myself and I'm able to help actually have a relationship with my father and his presence why I'm here so I truly thank you for giving for investing in this facility to give me that that time to actually connect with my father and left free and instead of you all judging me you love me and you pray for me while I'm in thank you so pastor Q your word we're gonna get into it but woo you can freeze by using your why it has it has truly structured my mind said I am more confident I can face my daily struggles whether good or bad very confident and I could conquer anything that I now last but not least I truly have to say thank you to Erica I have to thank you Erica for seeing something in me and for letting me be um be involved within the college ministry I truly appreciate that and just letting me have that that foundation to be able to serve so I plan to continue to serve with the Polish Ministry I plan to impact as many people as possible and I plan for size within CBA that up okay first tell them who you are what school you went and how TVH has impacted you who both Priya hey y'all so my name is deja Langston I graduated from Spelman College yes I graduated from Spelman I was the econ major Preeti VHS annexed I'm from Atlanta I'm from East Atlanta yes and pre TVH I'm gonna try to be as brief as possible but some people tell me I talk too much pre tbh I grew up in a very small church it was a family church and by small like I mean at Sunday school it was like six people in that service it was like 11 and it forced me to grow spiritually because I didn't have like things like children's church I had to sing with the adults right here in the three pubes we had and it it was good for me I'm thankful for them but the older I got I got more curious and I had more questions and we got to a point where they realized and I realized that they couldn't answer the questions that I had anymore and so it was difficult but I made a decision that they were wonderful but I outgrew that church and I had to go find the answers that I was asking the questions too so I left and I was I went to I got to Spelman and I started like playing church you know I was real good for being like Laura I'm gonna wake up at 10:30 and just watch TD jakes that was me that was me um so I was really good at bedside Baptist and then I seriously you guys know you guys know so then I started going to another Church in Atlanta a big church a real big Church and I got very comfortable in that because I was able to be lost in the church because it was so big and I'll go to church and I listen and I'll cry and I'll just go home and be inspired and I realized that being inspired is not enough to carry me through the week when it comes to a so I made the decision to leave that church and a friend told me about tbh and Taylor and I we was like okay we gonna visit and I remember walking in and it really wasn't that many people and instantly I was I was cool like I was like this is my kind of folks you know and then you know service started and I looked around and it still really wasn't that much people but I was so at peace because I was like this is what I'm used to and I know that here I won't be able to blend in and get lost like I was had to force myself to encounter God and so the best way I can describe it is um being here was in a resting rest I said that because moment of honesty I truly struggled with pride like I struggle with being more conscious of myself instead of letting God have his way sometimes and so I say that tbh has an arresting wrist because it was the type of rest that had to sit myself aside that had you know think of myself handcuffed and I just have to let God do what God does in this place and so I was thankful for that kind of rest because I don't get to be Dasia that I wanna be but I gotta be Dasia that guy want me to be you know and so I was thankful for that because when you struggle with pride you do a lot of fighting with God and that makes you tired and this place really had a rest on it that drew me so post joining I'm still basking in that rest I am being drawn and call to things that I never thought I would have any type of like never thought I would participate in I find myself being at the church more days out of the week then I'm out and you know I am loving this change in my life I appreciate having people who I know go to God with me in mind even in my absence and even when I don't have to ask and I am thankful for the dets anointing on this place it's wonderful to be surrounded around people who are anointed all the time it's wonderful to be around there about people who are pressing with you but it's nice to have people who are beyond you and they're pressing because you got something to go toward and I just am so encouraged by looking at especially the leaders in this house pastor I'm grateful to you because there's always a benchmark set for me as far as how far I can go and and in the the gap between where I am and and where God has called me to be so I'm thankful for the rest here I'm thankful for the room to grow here and I just love y'all stand up and give God praise for Dasia if you can come on you can do better than that now now that I have your standing if you can't reach for your Bible you'll fear I got them feet and you got them good heels on - that's what's happening I'm with you though I'm your friend if you can turn with me to Exodus 32 when the people saw stay with me Ron that Moses delay to come down out of the mount the people gathered themselves together and tear and and said unto Him up make us gods which shall go before us for I ask for this Moses the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt had what become of him and Aaron said unto them break off the golden earrings which are in the ears of your wives of your sons and of your daughters and bring them unto me and all the people break off the golden earrings which were in their ears and brought them and tear and and he received them at their hand and fashioned it with the graving tool after he had made it a molten calf and they said these be thy God's o Israel which brought the up out of the land of Egypt and when Aaron saw it he built an altar before it and Aaron made Proclamation and said tomorrow is a feast to the Lord you don't have to turn to it but I'm gonna read 29 verse 5 and thou shall take the garments and put upon Aaron the coat and the robe of the ephod and the ephod and the breastplate and gird him with curious girdle of the ephod and thou shalt put the mitre upon his head and put the holy crown upon the mitre then thou shalt take the anointing oil and pour it upon his head and anoint him and thou shalt bring his sons and put coats upon them and thou shall gird them with girdles Aaron and his sons and put the bonnets on them and the priests office shall be theirs for a perpetual statue and thou shall consecrate Aaron forever I want to talk to you from the perspective overlook for purpose there are some of you struggling with some things but I believe according to the power of God that that we are going to deal with a lot of the naysayers and you yourself let's pray Jesus we need whatever you have to give us so that we could have a better life we don't want to just talk it but the day comes well now we want to live it say what needs to be said to us provide the fathering the mentoring the revelation so that we could go on to live better and be better and manifest in the name of Jesus we pray amen and thank God you may be seated in the presence of the Lord let me start first by saying that there is not a new sentiment but a seemingly growing sentiment and that mentality is as such that you are expected to not say anything about God or not say anything about another man a woman or even do anything kingdom related if you are not perfect that question goes like this how is he gonna tell me anything when he's doing this okay how can she tell me that that God is when when I just seen her hit somebody else blood that she didn't even put in on yesterday how how how how how can he stand and sing us into the presence of God knowing that a week ago he went too far physically with his girlfriend how how how can this mother tell me anything about being a mother in Christ when she cussed out her kids a month ago it it's this thing it's this sentiment which says how can you say anything to me when you have this problem see now I would like to go with that concept because really what what some are trying to attack is the hypocrisy off of people but I've learned that all that dad has to use are imperfect people and so the concept can't go too far beyond how we could think to know that God will use an imperfect man or woman to perfect people see we got to deal with that because unfortunately now we are roped and chained and choked what from what I call the hypocrisy intimidation it's those who are hypocritical of you to tell you what you can't do for God because they are imperfect they are intimidating you for doing anything for God and if I just left it on people I would be naive if I just left it on people there would be a bit of naivete that's coming through what I'm saying to you I submit to you some of you are potentially saying it to yourself that some of you are asking yourself how can God call me when I still have the urge to have a drink how could I be about to do this in the ministry or build this department or go work in a workforce and get all the money and fund it into the case how can I do that when when when I want to cheat on my spouse let's go deeper how can I be used to lead me and usher them into the presence of God when I have cheated on my spy it's this unfortunate devilish thought process that you are not eligible to do anything for God save you be perfect but it's a devilish demonic thought process it's the thing that God never approved because if we look throughout the Bible it is written full of men and women that had problems but yet still pressed on to be effective and do something for God if you don't believe me let's talk right have you know Rahab Rahab didn't just sell a little bit if you wanted to buy a little bit I have matriculated to managing women who she made a business out of it she had what all folks would call a whorehouse and y'all know what that is okay so not only does she have one the Bible says in the book of Hebrews that she is should be considered in the hallmark of faith how can this woman who had everything to do with old school Old Testament pimping be considered in the hallmark of faith in the New Testament Hebrews I'll tell you why it's because in spite of her issues and in spite of her dysfunctions and in spite of her problems she was able to roll up her sleeves and still be effective in her path in her purpose that the same woman not the hole-in-the-wall of her business and dropped the rope down so the spies that was sick by Joshua could come up and sneak into the city and overthrow the city and they overthrow the city because a female pip helped them touch your neighbor and say see male pimp if I had time I would move forward to deal with women who think well why he just say a woman and not a man well there are tons of men in there too we could use Noah who we talked about weeks ago that used his gift and anointing to build the ark to build to complete his purpose but if you keep reading Noah was so drunk that he drunk himself into a stupor and Moses Noah didn't get just tipsy Noah got the type of drunk where he know what happened to him I won't ask you to raise your hand but I don't want you to tell your business because there's some of us in here that know what it is to get so drunk that anybody could do anything with any part of me and when I wake up all I know is my underwear all around my neck it's in the Bible it's there I promise you was there you know the story about his sons having to work all right I'll let that be I'm telling you this because it's hypocritical and unbiblical and not God's Way for you to be intimidated to be your true self dirty and weak and all selling out to the purpose God laid before you completing it finishing it and not letting nobody intimidate you not let nobody throw what you did in your face even not letting yourself pull yourself from doing it because the Bible is full of men and women who had lie in his shoes and drinking his shoes and sexist shoes but still was able to be effective and they purpose touch your neighbor and tell them can you be effective beyond you yeah could you get over yourself and still be effective could you get over what you did and still be effective you can't do nothing about that abortion can you still be effective can you get over yourself and stick you can't do nothing about lying or being lied to you can't do nothing and take back your virginity can you get past everything you did and still be us I am sick of this world mentality that's matriculated and inter-church concepts now now hear me I believe in being holy and I believe in processing so that all the things that I've struggled with I no longer struggle with them any longer but if you are waiting to never struggle to be effective you're gonna be waiting until you die so I gotta tell you how God moves because there are some that God has called that God has anointed that God has purposed but you won't do it because of what somebody else is gonna say about you I wanna do it but I can't because somebody might say how she gonna do this when she was divorced I wanna do it but I can't because somebody can say it how are you gonna teach anything and had two babies out of wedlock I wanna do it but I can't because they say how are they gonna do this when they got so drunk and people posted it on IG I'm telling you how get up and do it because you cannot allow the hypocrisy of another man or woman stop you from pleasing your father because God knew you would mess up he covered you mess up it's your job to get up and be a sec touch your neighbor and say be effective anyway I'm telling you to be effective in spite of your faults and be effective in spite of your struggles and be effective in spite of your lies and be effective in spite of your freakiness be effective in spite of when we are talking about those who the Bible turns its nose up to pointing out their sin telling them they are not eligible to serve it's for those who are hypocrites and in the New Testament hypocrite means to hide behind a man and in the Bible is saying that if you are hiding behind a mask deeming yourself to be perfect throwing imperfect people under the bus the Bible says that you are a hypocrite and should be cast out never to use anything never to do anything but that's not who I'm talking about I'm talking about being honest I'm talking about saying I'm struggling pray for me but God is I'm struggling pray for me but I still got purpose on my life right from me as I through this stuff but God still calls me the intent of the blood of Jesus was to allow the molesky and Melissa to come in to one church house and say I'm sorry for everything that I did I should not have touched you and for all of us to rally around the both I have to fight this off because there's some Millennials in here that that's after my generation you're next up and unfortunately a lot of people think Instagram is more reality than reality and and it is so easy to post this about you in and and crop this about you in and make this look like that and what it's doing is to keep you from serving keep you from allowing yourself to be used but your God got attendance of picking all of you did y'all hear what I just said all of you say all of me when God called you he want every good thing and dirty thing about you God isn't shocked about it one bit this is why the Bible says that we have this treasure in in an earthen vessel it means the treasure something beautiful something of worth submerged and covered in dirt in a dirty thing an ugly thing and some of you dirty people got anointing in you some of you dirty people got power in you some of you dirty people are effective and you'll lead the church forward and it's not by might you with me no power stick with me but by God's Spirit not your perfection and my friends don't want me to preach this to you because they think I'm giving you a sin free pass but I will say shall we are bound in sin god forbid I'm talking to those that are fighting and struggling and coming out not those who are let me let me tell you the blessing listen to the blessing the blessing is to struggle listen if you don't think and you're not struggling to start it or stop it then that's a sign that God's released you to yourself but when there's a fight saying when I would do good evil is always present and you are to not and that that I do not I do Oh wretched man I am fighting everyone who's lied on you and everyone who's gossiped about you and everybody who's told your truth I'm telling all of them you won't stop he's a her trajectory they will be efforts things that the gods oak over them to be in and they'll have everything God said they'll have touch your neighbor and in they face take a ten second thank you Jesus break [Music] five more seconds [Music] some of you saying why he tell me to do that because I'm teaching you how to do and be about your God in the face of another man or woman to not be bound by what they think and bound by how they feel and bound by what they don't say but to praise them and they say saying God is with me and he's called me and I'll shouting yo [Music] [Applause] [Music] see see see I'm not worried about what happens after I preach this because the preachers hold back this information because they they they scared and say are you telling them that they could just sin and it's okay now and doc you telling them that it's all right doc and doc and shut up cuz I'm not no doctor and you're not no nurse see I'm not worried about it because when you build a real relationship with your father see you don't want to continue doing things that have to go back and say I'm sorry too daddy again see I can't speak for you but I know what it is to mess up and sin and be dirty and be scared to go back to my father because I'm ashamed and I'm embarrassed because I got to go back into his presence again saying it's me bad once again struggling with the same old problem that I said I wouldn't do again but God if you help me this time [Music] seeing at some point you get tired of saying I'm sorry Lord and when you get tired of it your escalate your fight so I leave you to your relationship with your father but I'm gonna tell you the truth I can't even get to the sermon see if I had time I would point out to you a stupid conversation a weird conversation because this is the conversation between perfection imperfection about imperfection it's it's it's a two-way talk between someone who is holy versus someone who never known what holiness is let's keep going about someone who's not holy that at this point the children of Israel are out of Egypt and dad is talking to them about where he wanted them to be able to provide blood because the Bible says the wages of sin is death that's for every sin and I'm almost finished the wages of sin each and every one of them there is prescribed a death equivalent for each one that if you do murder there's a couple of goats and turtledoves and so on and so forth and so dad provided a place for them to give up that blood it's called the tabernacle you with me we call it the tabernacle of Moses and so at this point dad is talking to Moses saying boy and I want the sheets like this and tell him I want the shittim wood dyed red and and I want badger skins dyed blue and and just telling them designing the church house and what he's talking to Moses he says and by the way I've selected who I want to be the high priests he says I want Aaron to be the high priest the one man throughout all of the tribes that is able to go from the outer court to the inner court to the Holies of Holies I choose Aaron and not only Aaron his son shall follow after him I'm not only chosen him I've chosen his whole bloodline seeing if I had time I'll deal with that the call that's over you isn't just yours but it's your kids and your kids kids that what you do for God will pass blood after blood body after buck but I can't talk about it we would automatically walk away from this text because it says okay God shows that settles it and that's okay and to one degree that is okay but another greet it don't make sense because this is also the same area that God told Moses come up boy I need to talk to you for a second and the Bible says that Moses went up the mountain and when he went up the mountain he left Aaron with the people the people went up to Aaron and said make us God's a serve and Aaron didn't say no because I am the high priest of the Almighty Aaron didn't say how dare us that the God who brought us out of Egypt that we dare disrespect him that way Aaron said we'll bring me your earrings and bring me your bracelets and the Bible says that Aaron melted down the gold and formed a golden calf see the show some of us how far we could go in our sin some of us trip up on sin but all of us plan and practice and put forth work and gifting in order to be able to a come leave you alone you know some of y'all got appointments now he formed it and set the gold cap in front of the people and said what y'all think not only that when this fool saw it was good he went back to work again and built an altar in front of it it's one thing for God to say I choose this man but the one man to go from the outer Court to the inner court to the Holies of Holies bills of the gods for God's people not only that the Bible says Moses came down from the mountain after God says go check on your people they butt-naked having orgies around the Golden Calf Moses comes back down and he pulls Aaron to the side and says what's up with you I left you in charge Aaron said they took all day bracelets and threw it in a fire and a golden cab jumped out anybody ever lied to you and they lie insulted your intelligence so you couldn't come up with something better than that so so so the cab jumped out the fire tada [Music] and the one man that God says will go from the outer court to the inner court to the Holies of Holies God picked the biggest liar I ever seen in my life however he was affected because the question now is why would God choose a liar if we understand our Bible closely we know that it was also this area that when Moses was afraid to go see Pharaoh Aaron ain't asks no questions Moses was saying well how they don't hear me and how they gonna believe me and I can't talk Aaron says when we going see see and in some of you in order to move beyond who your sin identifies you to be you gotta be stopped locked and ready that when God says move your responses when we go it Aaron a national questions Aaron ans how is gonna work Irenaeus who was gonna bless Aaron said Moses let's roll out and the Bible says that in front of Pharaoh Moses wasn't the only one that threw his staff out that without any time spent with God the book says Aaron threw his staff out and Aaron's staff turned into a snake and they'd other snakes and Aaron's staff brought rice and boils it was not Moses alone seeing Pharaoh but there was one that got extra conversation and one that says when we went when we going and in my conclusion the answer to this riddle of the Sphinx of why God would pick one of the biggest liars that we've ever seen is that this man who was a liar was also sold out to the purpose of God that that this man was willing to risk his life for his part for his purpose that this man didn't even have a burning bush experience that God didn't even talk to him out of fire like he talked to Moses and God didn't even walk him through this stuff like he did Moses but when God scapegoat he stood up and buckled his pants and and tied his shoes and and grabbed his staff and says when we go and I submit to you his response to his purpose scream louder to God than his sin I'm not telling you he didn't have to repeat because Aaron had to go to God to say I'm sorry just like we all do but what I'm telling you is you want to live in a way where your purpose speaks louder than your sin you want your resume to be full of your effectiveness and not your idiosyncrasies and tendencies you want heaven to have heard how you're sold out to your purpose and not just about your freakiness and so it's from that biblical perspective and if you don't want to use Aaron I could use the person God was talking to about Aaron which is Moses because Moses was gifted but Moses had anger problems Mogis Moses's anger problems was so bad it led him to being a murderer you don't talk about it but when God said Moses go to Egypt and tell Fowler to let my people go you do know Moses had a warrant out for his arrest there and throughout his whole time of leading the people he never served that warrant to his arrest so Moses was leading 2.5 million people 40 years in the desert with a lorry now that he never went to any judge never dealt with never took care of that case but God used him anyway the thing that I've learned about the faith is that to God you have to understand what's money in heaven and what's money in heaven is are you effective with what God told you to do if you think God just died just so that you could be saved he would kill us all after we get saved and take us cuz he know how crazy we are will mess up tonight and just got saved this evening and for those who say well I'll do nothing you think about it the Bible says the thought of lust is as bad as committing them some of y'all so wild in your thoughts uh-huh bless Rihanna and dj khaled mother I tell you who that is later see I believe that after my generation come many of you but after you that's it it's my belief I think at this point who we become and what we do we'll stand for an eternity and hold the faith down if you look at surveys throughout the country credible ones and I don't want to name them but if you look at them it says that Christianity is declining at an all-time high which means we are not growing but we are decreasing when you look at the study of why some people leave it says that because they cannot live up to the expectation the people are leaving saying I can't live up to what sister so-and-so said I should be or could be that what brother so-and-so said I need to be man I can't do that stuff so I'll rather let it go and go somewhere else where I could at least be accepted I'm telling you God died to cover each and every one of your sins past present in the future and if he saved you and didn't kill you there means that there's still something to do I'm submitting to you that the blood of Jesus is spread all upon you to cover you as you fulfill his his purpose in your life it's what God uses to silence the accuser who says how can he when he did that or how can she when she did that God puts his blood and they face and smears you with his blood saying that there is therefore now no condemnation romans 8 says and not 28 the next one it says that who he calls he also justifies meaning because God purposed and call you he written in your justification and for those that don't know what justification means it's just as if he didn't do it you with me just as if she didn't do it you are justified in Christ nevertheless not i but Christ who lives that God will embrace you and lift you up when you says me and all my dirty self gonna do what I can to make you happy God that if you want me to do this I'm gonna be faithful that if you want me to do this I'm gonna give it everything I got that if you want me to do this I'll let nothing separate me from the love of Christ I won't let go sir I won't let them tell in my truth business stop me from being
