Overanalyzing Naruto: The Broken Seal

so the title of the broken seal obviously points to the seal on the nin Fox being broken but it's interesting that it's titled this cuz the seal breaks within the last 5 minutes of the episode maybe it's because it's important to the overall story but still it's a little weird Naruto had a long night give him some space he's slumped right now that's scream that was Sakura what's happening to her Sasuke stop making the shippers go crazy he cares he cares shut the [ __ ] up I'll bust us out of here narut I'll fake him out Naruto in this episode seems a lot more advanced than the last episode like he's not just trying to do the same thing here there's a little more finesse to everything he does he's doing like flips and [ __ ] and he's more Nimble and I think that's cuz Naruto grew in the short time that he was in haku's Jutsu and if that's actually the case then holy [ __ ] that's genius Naruto has Chalker boosting his speed since there's chaker at his feet and that's why Haku is only keeping up with him and not going faster that's a cool touch your chance of escaping my house of mirrors is zero no Naruto looks really tall here for some reason in fact there's a lot of times where Naruto seems taller than everyone else I might bring up every time but I don't know if there's a lot of them I know Sasuke I know Naruto just [ __ ] dies after responding to Sasuke twice in this episode and this is the first it's kind of funny too because he kind of just responds to what Sasuke says and then just passes out the lines don't even make it seem like he's going to faint he kind of just does Haku can you give me some room thanks Nar you better not pass out again come on let's go I can't keep protecting you like this well then don't I never asked for your help here's the second time Naruto just dies but I want to talk about what he says he's never asked for Sasuke's help which I think calls back to him being outcasted in the village and we're shown later that Naruto and Sasuke had a rivalry thing even back in the academy so he doesn't want Sasuke's help because of Pride and he thinks that if he asks for help then it's a sign of him losing which is just like a very hard topic to write in a kid show and and they woved in really lowkey it hits the best Note your attacks are very skillful but you've reached your limits as well they visually show Sasuke at his limit before Haku even says it he defends haku's attacks but he's obviously gassed after every time motor functions reflexes judgment your abilities are weakening slowly but surely now you're finished I love how this Line's delivered Haku seems so cold with this line I also think that it suddenly shows what haku's Crystal ice mirrors specialize in which is slowly killing the enemy I really like this shot I think it's so cool Sasuke does the same move he did against Haku earlier for the exact same reason too that's a cool callback it's a cool touch that we can't see Sasuke's eyes because his hair is blocking it so we're not spoiled that he also has a shingon let's go this shit's so cool we've been hearing about the shingon this entire Arc and we've been waiting for Sasuke to unlock them and we finally get it the only thing I'm wondering is why doesn't he have the comma thing in his right eye but there's two in his left I don't really understand that but I also really don't care for reference I'm going to call them commas till I remember the actual term for them I know they start with a t but I have no clue what they're called this looks like a shot from another anime but I can't quite put my finger on it even though it's not perfe Ed to uncover this power in the midst of a lethal attack is an amazing feat and because of that I won't be able to fight much longer this seems really out of nowhere for me like kasas can now Dodge haku's attacks haku's going to lose I don't really get it I can't Target him directly he'll just block a frontal attack so I'll have to throw him off guard by attacking his partner I mean yeah it's IM moral as hell but it's a battle strategy and a 1v2 it's smart to do and it actually makes Haku seem really smart you were late Kakashi I mean it seemed to me like he got there in time the bridge Builder's alive but let's be honest here zza hasn't given a singular [ __ ] about the bridge builder since the arc started he was probably going to kill Sakura your eyes are sharp Kakashi but not sharp enough to read my moves not anymore you reckon zza saying this lead to Kakashi thinking of the idea to make him stop moving with dogs I bet it was come on Kakashi I want this to be fun I want to enjoy my myself as I exact my revenge this is a really cool line and not in the way you think because dbza enjoys himself when he exacts his revenge but he doesn't get his revenge on Kakashi he gets it on gate I love that line as for those brats don't worry they're at haku's Mercy no they're breathing their last breaths right now zza is really just haku's hype man like if zza was never speaking highly of Haku and just said yeah he's pretty good then the whole Naruto and Sasuke versus Haku would have felt super underwhelming I think this is also why you can't really put Naruto and Sasuke versus Haku full fight without including at least a little bit of zab's dialogue in between because he's the reason that Naruto and Sasuke seem like they're going to die without any chance without zab's dialogue it's kind of just like oh Naruto might run out or Sasuke might [ __ ] on Haku with fire but zza really erases that Viewpoint from the viewer's mind this is a really cool comparison and it's super low-key zaba's right eye is tweaking and his left eye is normal then you see Kakashi and his right eye is also tweaking a bit while his left eye is normal this is a low-key way of showing that zabu Kashi are pretty equal opponents and an almost perfect match for each other [ __ ] out the way guy this [ __ ] is the OG I love the fact that Kakashi's eye is twitching as if he's pissed off that zab's talting his students it really shows he cares and by how Kakashi treats them you think he doesn't care but they drive the fact that he does care through his actions and that's why I think Kakashi is such a cool character Sakura for some reason has put away arunai if you remember for earlier she had one in her hand he he also said Naruto will die God [ __ ] lock in Sakura Naruto the number one hyperactive knucklehead ninja I like the idea that Kakashi keeps who Naruto is a secret he doesn't mention that he's the Ninetails and chery nor does he mention anything about the fourth okag it shows that the village is actively hiding who Naruto is and I think that's an interesting angle to take in an anime so many shows have this big Power Up ability that everyone wants to show off like Avatar or jjk and I'm not saying that's a bad thing I'm just saying that I like it more when it's kept Under Wraps until every knows about it and Sasuke heir to the most powerful clan in the hidden Leaf Village you would think that Zabo or Haku would know that the emblem on Sasuke's back is the oiha clan symbol especially Zaba he's around Kakashi's age and is a high level jonan so you'd think he'd at least fought a new sheha Clan member or learned about them especially because he's from the blood Miss Village but he has no clue what that emblem on his back means I guess he wouldn't know because in Wars they wear a specific uniform but outside of War he probably had to [ __ ] on anha given that he's a member of the s ninja swordsman it's never really cck for me why he doesn't know that Sasuke is a new Chia yep he's [ __ ] dead is this how the needles would work the fabric on his clothes would do this I don't get it this is why I do youtubing and not clothing before I get into what's next can we appreciate how [ __ ] good the middle part on Sasuke's hair is drawn real quick like how' they make it look like that give them a raise okay so this I actually love this part so much it's one of my favorite Parts in the first Arc just the line from Naruto why did you save me it's so hard like we've seen Sasuke only hate Naruto up to this point but Sasuke so clearly cares for his teammate his friend that he would happily die for him even if it destroys his own dream it's a very good character moment for Sasuke and Naruto and Sasuke remembering things about Naruto it shows that not only does he care about Naruto but to me it seems like Sasuke understands that Naruto's dreams is more important than his own so he decides to sacrifice his own dream so Naruto can achieve his Naruto getting mad at Sasuke for saving him is also very in character Naruto doesn't want help Naruto doesn't need it but Sasuke's Gonna Save him because they're relationship with one another and Sasuke mentioning his own dream to Naruto hits as well it makes you think that Sasuke is dead and his final words to Naruto I think are some of the most powerful in the entire Arc everything about this is amazing it's only a few minutes like it's perfect I don't think this has a single flaw it's cool that they also have a final Itachi look and not the mess it was earlier and also I get to talk about this cuz holy [ __ ] this shot is so cool Itachi is straight up looking down at Sasuke cuz Sasuke is still not powerful enough to face him and that's a really good representation of that Nar don't let your dream die this is where I think the most iconic anime soundtrack in history is born I said it Naruto has the most iconic soundtrack in all of anime and I think it starts right here he found a strength he didn't realize he had why because of a certain person who was precious to him and I think this is cool too the ending of this fight and this Arc as a whole ties back to what Haku told Naruto that one time I said I never really cared for it I know but I still said I can appreciate for what it does and I think this is the reason that talk is so important is this the first time you have seen a friend die in battle this is part of what it means to be a ninja here's a problem I have with this has Haku experienced a comrade die sure he tked zabu that one time but has he had experience anything more other than his parents dying I don't really think so I love this part too it's silent Naruto doesn't say much and he's on demon time now like holy [ __ ] this is so cool and the Chalker is so strong that it makes cracks in the ground like this [ __ ] is so sick how could you not love this I'm going to kill you the silence before where Naruto pulls this [ __ ] is actually so perfect and his face is scary as [ __ ] the first watch through Naruto is actually possessed here and thinking about that not being yourself in the moment and something taking over you is actually horrifying what is this chakra chakra cannot be seen yet it's clearly visible this line comes off a little strange to me we've seen chakra visible multiple times and are Jus not chakra in different forms it's something gas L I can feel the wrath the bloodlust like evil itself now this Line's amazing this makes the ninetail fox seem like a problem seem unbeatable this is sua before sua even existed actually there's a lot of comparisons you can make with jjk and Naruto if you look at them there's a ton you could probably name them on like both hands maybe more I think it's a cool touch that Naruto's fingernails change when he's in the Ninetails form that's actually another jjk similarity but that's pretty common so it won't count I don't think jjk copies Naruto At All by the way I'm just saying that there's definitely inspir ation is sabua creating this he's not I know this chakra isn't this sad and kind of scary at the same time that Kakashi knows the Ninetails chakra just by feeling it like that's how detrimental the Ninetales attack was so much that he knows the chakra by heart that's crazy God what a way to end off an episode like chef's kiss this is better than the last Cliffhanger if you ask me this episode's even better than the last like this is the best episode in the arc now and I don't think it's close again last episode is when Naruto found his legs in my opinion and this episode is when it takes off running at this point Naruto becomes Peak and I don't think that's a hot take at all the dialogue is perfect the fight portion is super underrated I think it's Pace really well almost everyone gets somewhat of a moment too besides sakur but that's cuz the dumbass bridge builder still exists and needs to be protected from no one and Sasuke holy [ __ ] he steals the entire episode in my opinion his death scene is beyond perfect and I don't think there's a death scene this early into any show that's better than sas's and Naruto at the end like oh my God that raises the bar for not just Naruto but anything like there's a reason it's big three anyways next episode white past hidden ambition
