in today's video I'll be showing you how you can possibly double your FPS on Microsoft flight simulator on PC if you have an Nvidia RTX 20 or 30 series graphics card using a clever tweak that some Flo simmers have recently been utilizing now that being said it might not work for everyone it is working for me and it means that I can get my RTX 3060 TI to comfortably run up to 100 FPS on on high settings with the ability to push up to ultra if the scenario allows it it means on average wherever I fly I can expect at the very minimum 30 FPS and I'm getting an average of 50 to 60 FPS even when coming into big airports if I'm lucky as I said I can get up to 100 FPS so if you like the sound of that be sure to subscribe to the channel for some of the best flight Sim content on the internet with that out of the way let's get right into it so the bit of software we will be using today basically fools your Nvidia 30 series graphics card and indeed Microsoft Flight Sim itself to utilize amd's frame generation software now for those of you who don't know this is an AI powered tool that creates intermediate frames between the base frames generated by your game this results in a far smoother visual experience and indeed a higher FPS that's about as far as my scientific knowledge goes here I'm afraid those of you with a 40 series graphics card by Nvidia will already be familiar with this process but seeing as amd's version of it is open source this can happily be used with Microsoft float Sim and indeed a similar setup also works with newer AMD graphics cards first off let me just say with anything like this there is an element of risk this process is reversible but there will be some bugs from it which I'll be talking about later in my humble opinion the positives of it outweigh the negatives as you can see from the comparisons that I'll be sharing on this video in very similar simulations using the same settings of the high preset with twaa antialising and Ultra cloud with direct X12 that's important for later my CPU is also a rather capable ryzen 5 5600x and before this tweak my Microsoft Flight Sim was bottlenecked by my GPU so if you have a similar sort of issue this tweak should help you out as you see from the comparisons on the screen in most cases frame generation is doubling my FPS anywhere from 20 to 40 FPS before to 40 up to 80 now indeed at times it often surpasses 80 and you do have to remember that I am recording this so OBS does take a hit on frames and that can be quite significant taking 10 off so visually you can see a massive Improvement movement but you'll also notice there are some imperfections it still won't solve loading in stutters when you approach a new airport and as well as that heads up displays can look slightly blurry so if you fly fighter jets or pop out the heads up display on the 787 often you will notice it I still stand by this being an absolute Game Changer so this is how you install it it's a six-step process there abouts and it's going to take you about 5 minutes now first off as I've said throughout this will only work if you have an Nvidia 30 series GPU or indeed a 20 series graphics card I can't forget about them make sure you have the latest driver installed then you'll need to navigate into PC settings into system into display and then Graphics to ensure that Hardware accelerated GPU scheduling is on if it is not turn it on and then restart your PC this is important otherwise it won't work now once you've done that you you need to head onto the Nexus mods website linked down below and download the top file at least that's the one I've tried you can try The dlss Tweak later down the line but personally I find that tww looks a lot nicer on Microsoft flighton despite a small performance cost now once you've downloaded this file extract it and open it and run the red street at the top that will disable Nvidia checks you can reverse this with the other option but to make this sofware work you do need to double click this and run it now we're almost there now the final step is to find Microsoft flight simulators installation folder not the base game folder also important you distinguish it basically the installation folder is the one with Microsoft Flight sim. exe in and then you'll need to drop these two dll files in there and do make sure it's in the right place otherwise nothing will happen you can find standard paths for different Microsoft flight simulator versions in the description now everything externally is done we can load up Microsoft Flight Sim and with a few tweaks in settings you'll see the Fantastic benefits of the frame generation mod so here we are we're now in the Sim now before I was using this tweak I was using a blend of medium and high settings with this tweak I've upped it to the high preset as a minimum and moved on to ultra clouds as well I can push it up further but admittedly I haven't messed around with it anyway to enable frame generation in the Sim this is how you do it make sure direct X12 is on if it's not you will need to turn it on and then restart Microsoft Flo Sim make sure vsync is off and then make your decision between what antialising you want I find taaa a lot better now once you've done that you should have the option to turn frame generation on it will say it's Nvidia but remember we've tricked it and it is indeed AMD software once you've turned it on you should notice it straight away it works almost perfectly hopefully as you've seen from my previews it really is an absolute Game Changer that being said nothing is perfect so to address some flaws you might get the occasional screen tearing I presume that's more from vsync being off and some displays or popups might appear slightly blurry or shaky this is quite rare and indeed certainly not enough to push me away from the frame generation mod it is something to bear in mind that being said and I should also note that because this is mostly a visual trick in areas where You' previously have a low FPS your actual physical controls may still feel slow because the input lag is still there in spite of the smoother visuals if you do have any major visual glitches and you shouldn't do really fear not you could just turn frame generation on and off in settings mid game and it should fix it and that's all I can really say all I'd really say for you all is to give it a go if you we have got an RTX 30 series card on my system it works exceptionally well and means I can happily perform airliner flights from heavy Payway airports with FS traffic running and still pull 60 FPS for me and hopefully many of you it is an absolute Game Changer I hope it goes well for you it's pretty easy to set up and I hope indeed you have many happy flights with it on that note guys I'd like to wish you all a very happy day and many happy Landings I hope this helps you out if you do have any big questions while I can't guarantee I'll be able to help do put it down in the comments and I'll try my best be sure to like comment and subscribe if this helped you out on that note I'll see you all very soon [Music] bye-bye [Music] he
