Our TOP 5 Things to Do in Cambria & San Simeon California!

[Music] hey everyone thanks for watching this  video. Today we're going to be going over our   top five favorite things to do in Cambria. We have  been going to Cambria for about 20 years now or at   least I have and I think we have a pretty good  idea of what to recommend to you guys so thanks   for watching and stay tuned so topping up the  list at number five are the elephant seals and   while the elephant seals aren't technically in  Cambria they're a short drive away in San Simeon   and I love to see the sea lions when we come it's  a short little trip but it's a fun activity always   when we were here today it was actually not cold  which is I may be the first time that we'd ever   been there where we weren't freezing so make  sure if you're gonna come to stop with the   elephant seals you make sure to bring a jacket the  elephant seals are here all year long but their   primary mating season is in the winter months so  December January February so that is when you will   be seeing the most amount of them but you'll be  seeing them all year long they're always here   for number four we're gonna be going back into  Cambria to be doing some wine tasting and some   eating there are a plethora of food and wine  tasting options in this little town so be sure   to come hungry come thirsty and you'll have a good  time the food here is always good I feel like most   of the restaurants here are reasonably priced and  the wine tasting isn't as in-depth as it would be   and say Paso Robles there are very low-key wine  tasting options here and we do some wine tasting   every time we go we're not big wine drinkers so  it's not a big thing for us but we always do some   wine tasting after our meal and there's a lot of  food options in Cambria there's Burgers Italian   there's a high-end low end there's everything  in between it's just a really nice little town   to go and have dinner in and then go back to your  hotel room afterward and that takes us into number   three our number three choice for things to do in  Cambria is shopping there are so many cute little   adorable shops in Cambria that you can choose  from there's art galleries there's dog boutiques   there's Jewelers there's so many cute stores so  be sure to set some time aside to hop into these   stores and just see what they have support local  businesses and pick yourself up with souvenir   along the way these shops are so cute most of  the merchandise in them are affordable and in the   mid-scale for souvenirs so it's always just a fun  time to go in and browse in the shops the people   here are really friendly and are very welcoming  for our number two on this list we're going to   be going back over to San Simeon so San Simeon is  about a 15 minute drive away from Cambria it's a   little bit up north on Highway one and we are  going to be going to the Hearst castle one of   Cambria and San simeon's main attractions is the  Hearst castle it is open to tours you can either   book your tour online which we recommend or you  can book your tour once you're there but those are   subject to availability the tours vary in time and  on what you can see but we would recommend doing   it it's something to see at least once in your  life it's a fascinating place to visit and the   views up there are spectacular so if you're going  to be on Highway one and you can find some time in   your schedule we would definitely definitely  recommend taking a trip to the Hearst Castle   and our number one pick for things to do in  Cambria is I think one of the biggest reasons   that draw people to this little Beachside town  and that's the beach the beach is amazing there   are beaches all up and down the town that you  can visit most of the beaches are dog friendly   so you can have some time with your pups in front  of the ocean look at the sunsets the beaches here   are like no other and that is why this drive on  the California coast is considered one of the most   scenic drives in the world so make sure to set  some time aside so you can spend some r r at the   beautiful beaches that you will find in Cambria  and that concludes our top five things to do in   Cambria thank you so much for watching this video  if you found it helpful please consider giving a   little like or leaving us a little comment and  check out our channel for some other stuff to do   in California we have tons of things so thanks for  watching and we'll see you next time bye [Music] [Music]
